  1. Another set, another review. 76129 Hydro Man Attack. THE GOOD: Exclusive Peter Parker figure with a half pulled up mask! Great design for the bridge and the building on the side. Love the tower build and the use of new piece to create the arch. Capture the vibe of Venice most importantly. THE NOT SO GOOD: Would love to have a more distinct figure for MJ. (especially hair piece) May be a variant of Mysterio? Too much angular edge on the small canoe/boat. Another great effort from LEGO. Would be even nicer if the RRP is $10 cheaper but having a set with such a great bridge and building on the side (and the build experience was fun too), take my money! I wish they include an unique hair piece for MJ but having a Peter Parker minifigure and the use of the beanie piece is brilliant. Highly recommended even you are not a Spider-Man fans.

    (MOC) Iron Man Repulsor Hand

I am... Iron Man by InvisibleTimmy, on Flickr I like this one. I think that the colors look pretty good, and the shaping works. There are only four fingers because adding another upset the proportions. The transition from blocky to round is a bit awkward, but the base needed to be round so that the model could stand. I like the look of the trans.-blue, especially the CHI crystal. The fingers are individually articulated, but can't angle up any more than is shown. The texture at the base of the model is done with a 2x2 seat element.
  3. Here is my review on Spider-Man Far From Home 76128 Molten Man Battle. THE GOOD: Molten Man build is excellent and looks good, seriously the actual molten man looks a lot better than the one on the package. (Love the use of those clear orange part) Highly detailed minifigures. Legs printing from a Marvel theme, haven't seen this for a long time. THE NOT SO GOOD: Depending of the angle of the legs, Molten Man could easily facing palming on the floor XD. Could have include a character from the movie instead of a generic fire fighter I guess. This is a huge improvement from Lego compared to the lacklustre Avengers Endgame wave. I'm surprised with how well the Molten Man build is designed. The minifigures are excellent (with legs prints!!!) and the price isn't that bad either considering you can often get discount in most retailer. Absolutely will recommend this to everyone.

    [MOC] Sanctum Sanctorum Modular

Here is my Sanctum Sanctorum Modular MOC. More pics at my Blog
  5. Here is my latest review on Avengers Endgame set: THE GOOD: Iron Man Mk.85 A few interesting ways to build things Orange effect parts Extra Ant-Man micro figure THE NOT SO GOOD: Over priced It feels like a LEGO CITY police station rehashed to be Avengers HQ There is a MAJOR SPOILER in the set. (Which I have skip it in my vid review) Lazy attempt in Thanos BigFig A couple of places feel incomplete Overall, another half baked attempt from Lego in my opinion. Infinity War wave was so much better. Only get this set if you really need it and still I advise you wait for discount or clearance.
  6. Here is my latest video review on Endgame sets, 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armour. THE GOOD: Iron Man suit variants. (Mk.1 is my favourite, very nicely done.) Nice look hall of armour. (Really captures the look as in the movie) Great concept to make it modular. THE NOT SO GOOD: Igor is just bad .... While the hall of armour looks nice and great idea making it modular, the build is very very repetitive. (like 70% of the time is building the same thing) Outriders again ... Price is a bit high. Overall, it's a mixed set in my opinion. Good if you are into collecting all iron man variants but the Igor is really really disappointing. Would prefer they include Pepper in Rescue suit instead of more outriders. The Hall of Armour looks nice and good concept but it's very very repetitive build experience. Given the price, recommend only if you can get a 20% off from RRP or you are Iron Man suits collector. Having said that, it's one of the better ones in this Endgame wave.
  7. Here is my review on 76124 War Machine Buster. THE GOOD: Great War-Machine Buster build. (Actually looks great if stand side by side with HulkBuster from Infinity War sets last year.) The price is much more reasonable compared to other ENDGAME sets. THE NOT SO GOOD: Re-use of Avengers uniform. More outriders ... (I don't hate them but just feel it's lazy to re-use so many of them in this wave.) Overall, I like it and the war machine buster is surprisingly a refreshing build. It will be great if LEGO includes better minifigures ...

    [MOC] The RAFT

The RAFT MOC I've been toiling away on is complete. For more pics, check out my blog https://a2zminifigures.com/blogs/news/raft-moc-complete
  9. Bought it last year and finally opened it today and made this video review: THE GOOD: Awesome Mixed Tape!!!!! Nice mirco scale builds of the original model! THE NOT SO GOOD: More detailed prints for Nebula? Overall, must buy if you are a Guardians of the Galaxy fans! Don't have any negatives about this set, the printing for Nebula is really like NICE TO HAVE.
  10. This is my MOC of the scene from Avengers Infinity War where Thanos meet Gamora as a child and kills half the population of her homeworld of Zen Whoberi. It was built for a competition on VaderFan2187’s Blog that was run in December last year. All of the entries were great and you can check them all out here. My entry was inspired by a specific image from the movie which you can see here. The capes for the Chitauri were custom made by me from red paper and based on Thor’s cape from the Ragnarok sets but the lengths and shapes were individually adjusted to closer reflect the photo. Gamora was changed to short legs to reflect her youth and I made a custom coat for her from the same red paper. Anyway here are the photos and please let me know your thoughts. Punisher Dodge Demon

I bought the Dodge 75893 speed champions set principally for the Charger R/T (for a Dom Toretto Fast and Furious build) , but I thought the Demon sounded like the ideal car for Frank Castle . So I changed the cheerful yellow to a meaner matt black and added a "get the h*ll out of my way!" bumper. Regards Kenny. 12. 2019 is here and we've seen this set around since March 2018. Marvel LEGO fans are thrilled when the UCS Hulkbuster is finally announced but when it actually arrived, I sensed hatred more than love towards this LEGO mech. So, please leave your comments whether you agree or disagree of the 10 reasons that I gather from the internet. This set is still available in LEGO.com. 1. BLUE TECHNIC AXLE PIN AWKWARDLY PLACED AT THE SHOULDER. All those red and suddenly a blue technic pin showing at the shoulder is quite awkward in this scenario. Maybe a new red coloured pin can be a better alternative? Or we can substitute this Technic, Axle Pin with Friction Ridges Lengthwise coded 43093 in bricklink with a tan or grey coloured part to make it blend into the shoulder pad better than this basic colour contrast of red and blue. 2. WRONG COLOURED CHEST LIGHT BRICK. The light brick in this set is a great bonus for us all and I understand that LEGO only produce red and yellow light bricks in the past. Why not make a new blue light brick for this iconic set of LEGO mech? I'm sure the exclusiveness of a blue light brick in this set will make this set more popular. 3. RESTRICTED ELBOW MOVEMENT. To make this pose, I had to remove the arm at the elbow, and then place it directly on the shoulder and fortunately it works quite well for the photo . Now if you notice the right arm (the intact one), the gold plate at the outer part of the elbow is blocking the arm to be moved side way as well as the grey round plate at the inner part of the elbow. This actually defied the purpose of the ball joint at the elbow which suppose to make the arm more flexible. 4. WEAK GRIP OF THE HANDS. He is holding the fire extinguisher? Or the fire extinguisher is sitting on his last finger? I would say it was a hard time balancing the red can of powder in his hand. Other than that, I like it that Iron man can sit inside nicely without any stud so that he can be easily taken out from the seat. I'm not a MOCer so I can't really suggest how to make another extra finger for him. Longer finger would help in the grip too I guess. 5. LACK OF KNEE JOINT As you can see, the designers traded the stability of the model with the flexibility of his knees. The long brown technic axle is to be plunged into the lower part of the leg so that the weight of the whole model will be directed straight towards the heel. I think there must be another way out for it to be able to pose better. 6. RESTRICTED HIP MOVEMENT. This pose took me 30 minutes to make it balance. As you can see, i removed the knees, and connected only one of the double click ball joints to the hip. The thigh parts are only resting on the lower legs. Luckily the sole of his foot is wide enough to support the 'running' pose. Modification is direly needed. 7. INSIGNIFICANT GLOW IN THE DARK PIECES. Yes! We have glow in the dark parts in this set! But the proportion of the pieces and the size of the model is not right. More pieces or larger parts would be nice. 8. UNABLE TO STAND UPRIGHT. Look at the ball part between the sole and the lower leg, they are suppose to stabilise the model but the space is a little bit too much so the Hulkbuster is kind of leaning on the respective ball part of the leg instead of standing up straight. 9. TOO SKINNY. Hulkbuster in the movie is very bulky and large to be sturdy enough to fight the Hulk. Here he looks a little bit malnourished. 10. STICKERS! The UCS label sticker is very hard to apply without creating air bubbles. The decals for the model is not very abundant here, why not give us printed ones? Alright, now that we are done with the downside of having this model, but to me as a collector, this set is still a must get to complete my collection of LEGO Hulkbusters. For MOCers, this set provides a good framework for you to do modification for a larger and better Hulkbuster. Other than the model, the platform build is impeccable with large black 8x16 tiles, lots of 2x4 tiles, and the side builds of yellow machine arms. The comparison of 76031, 76104 and 76105 Hulkbusters heads. The prints are very nice gold and they are exclusive to their respective sets. This is my previous review of 76031 and 76104. Mark 43 suit with a transparent head. This looks like an unfinished work of Tony. But the details of the suit is definitely magnificent. This suit is exclusive to this set too. The accessories of the set. Veronica is amazing with the stand. The fire extinguisher is my favourite here as it looks so similar to a real one. A comparison with Smaug. He looks like the gold dwarf statue in the movie. I mean the size. More to compare with old Hulkbusters. The height of them are just at the waist of the UCS version. More buildable LEGO figures. Now Smaug doesn't look that big. Conclusion Despite the bad aspect of the Hulkbuster, I still feel that this is a good buy before it retires. As I mentioned above, there are lots of room to make it a better version of Hulkbuster, so this set can become an official collection, or you can modify it to become a bulkier, more flexible version of a LEGO mech. Review Summary Playability: 6/10 - This model is more of a display model on the platform provided. Playability score actually decreased along with the lack of the ability to pose him properly. Design / Building Experience: 8/10 - The design is very nice but it can be better. Too skinny. Still a high score because it can be a good foundation for MOC. Minifigures: 9/10 - Great minifigure! All the printings and the details are marvelous! But why not put a Tony Stark minifigure as well? Overall: 7.5/10 - This set is still available in store. Get it before it retires. Hope you enjoy the review, do share your thoughts in the comments!

    76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Combined (MOC)

Ever since I first saw 76108 at the beginning of the year, I've wanted to make the Sanctum and Peter's apartment two distinct buildings. I picked up my first copy of the set when it released, but didn't want to spend full price on another one when I already had the minifigures. Recently, there was a sale on Amazon and I finally was able to pick up a second one and combine them! It was a fun challenge to make this new set and ten transform it into the back half of the buildings. I was able to finish the build with only the two sets and about two dozen or so pieces I had at my disposal, and there was a lot of trial and error. I hope you all like how it turned out! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the large window in the back of the bottom floor of the Sanctum, but I didn't have to pieces to really do much else. http://imgur.com/d3LMHRa http://imgur.com/euqCv4O http://imgur.com/YevYdqy http://imgur.com/UNjL8Ff http://imgur.com/Zb3u2QZ
  17. The final episode. The most demanded set of all Bricktober in the history. Is it the movie? Maybe. To me, more of the minifigures here that makes the difference. 5004938 - NINJAGO Minifigures 5004939 - TLBM Minifigures 5004941 - Classic Minifigures 5005257 - NINJAGO Minifigures (2018) 5005254 - Harry Potter Minifigures (2018) 5005255 - Jurassic World Minifigures (2018) Are you ready? Overview Name: 5005256 - Marvel Infinity War Minifigures Theme: Promotional \ Toys R Us (Bricktober) Year: 2018 Pieces: 22 pcs Minifigures: 4 Price: free with purchase of RM199 in Malaysia. Introduction All of them are exclusive to the set. You can find some of them outside but the printings are so different that you will like this version more than others. By going through them one by one, you will feel that it's a whole new experience of Infinity War after all. After they discontinued? Maybe they will be like SDCC exclusives? Okay, that's too much. Let's look into it. Box This box art is the nicest as Thanos is at the upper right corner showing off his fully powered Infinity Gauntlet. The most important number here is the 5005256 so that you can easily bricklink the set. LEGO version of Thanos. Clearer view without the plastic. Go protect Earth! Minifigures Wow! This is the most impressive war machine ever designed by LEGO! The accessories are still simple but the printings are exceptional! Let's look at it from the top to bottom. Helmet. It looks quite full with silver colored prints but when you open it up, you can see there are also printings at the cheek area makes it looked cooler than ever! Head. At the front is Ron Cheadle's smiling face but at the back you have a red coloured HUD printing! But here I think the red is too dark makes him looked like he had a punch in his left eye. Haha. Torso. The nanotech design looks very detailed with the chest piece that looks similar to Tony's mark 50. Back print is quite normal but the both side arm printings are phenomenal! Can we ask for side leg printings to make him complete? The left one is from the Airport battle set.You can see the new war machine prints are much denser than the previous version. The HUD prints are actually the same with Tony's version. The only difference is the colour. I think the red should be more transparent for it to look nicer. The side arm prints that is visible a little bit from the back here makes him look much nicer than the previous one. I can't take my eyes off of him. haha Here you can see the 004 indicating that this is actually Mark 4 war machine. See, the older one looks dull with nothing at the arm. Even Giant man wants the new one. Wong. The most anticipated character to appear in LEGO since the Dr Strange movie. The prints are very nice too. The red and blue colour combination of his robe makes him looks movie accurate. His Asian looking facial hair is also a nice touch to the minifigure. The 2x2 printed tile here is maybe one of the books in the library that he guards. Legs are well printed with the side ones too! Constipation at it's best. Tony Stark! He has side arm printings too! This hair captures the hair of Robert Downey Jr in the movie accurately. The grey jacket with the hood and the nanotech chest piece is also a very nice detailing to the minifigure. The startled face is also a very nice addition to this character. Wong! You are invited to my wedding. Bucky Barnes. This is him after cryo sleep and a new vibranium arm gifted by Black Panther, king of Wakanda. His beard is new and the use of gold colour for the vibranium arm makes it looks elegant! This minifigure also has side leg printings at the right side of the minifigure. The old arm was blasted by Tony so he had a new upgrade. Beard darkens in ice? I'm gonna get that arm. Conclusion I love this set so much as it completes my Marvel Infinity War collection! Everyone here is so amazingly designed, well printed and most importantly, EXCLUSIVE! Marvel fans, what are you waiting for? Review summary Design: 10/10 - Very nice design of minifigures that I have to give full marks for that. Minifigures: 10/10 - Can I be greedy to ask for the Collector to be added to this set as the fifth minifigure? Price / Value for money: 10/10 - Good luck getting them after they are discontinued. Be fast guys. Overall: 10/10 - Did I ever give full marks for any other sets? This is so awesome I have to put 10/10! I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below. Thank you and see you next October! All four sets of 2018 Bricktober.

    Alternate Face for Thanos?

So, I think we can all agree that the 'angry gritted-teeth grimace' expression that the Thanos bigfig from the Thanos Ultimate Battle set is . . . inaccurate, to say the least. (Honestly, I have nightmares about how OOC he was acting in that one Black Panther Lego animated short . . .) So! I want to know, does anyone have any ideas on what could be done ro create something more accurate? Non-purist methods would probably be best . . maybe a paper or cardboard 'hood' that could be put over his head that's all purple and has a face printed on, so that not only is the expression fixed but it looks like he's not wearing that inaccurate helmet. Does anyone have any better ideas? Or even tried something similar?
  20. Since I saw the official pics for the set, i decided that, I must mod the shoulder area. I know there are a lot of cool mods and rebuilds of the set, but I like keep the sets in original form as possible. The overall design of the Hulkbuster was good looking and sturdy, but the gaps at the shoulder bothered me much. Those gaps are there to give space for 360 degree movement of the arms. After the instructions of the set become available, I build it in LDD and then I started to change the build.Mostly I just took out some parts, but it has greatly improved the look. Guide to the Modification: Required Patrs: For this simple mod you only need this 3 parts. For the black arms you could use the outriders arms, because the don't need 6 arms, I think. 1. The mod is begins with disassembly. You need to take off the upper part of the body and the right arm. 2. To get the arms closer to the body you need to leave out the black gears and to change the axle. Than you could take back this arm and take out the another arm. The left arm is on a shorter axle, so you just need to take out the gear. 3. Next comes the upper part. You need to take out curved pieces from the top and the layer of black plates to make it 1 plate high lower. Then you should swap the to black L plate with the gray 1x4, for sturdier connection. 4. Because the height reduction the minifig should stand lower to let the dome close, so you need to take out the 1x2 plate from under the standing piece. 5.Last thing, you could take the 2x2 transparent blue cylinder out to reduce the size of the wheel, which operates the arm. The bashing-arm function is still working after the mod, but it's a bit limited in motion by the shoulder armor. You should be careful with it because you could accidentally knock off those parts, if you raise the arm to high. Fixing the arm with the wheel on the back is workig still too and then you coud posing the arms. After this mod here is our extra parts left: Comparison: I hope you like this small modification.

    [MOC] Chitauri Leviathan

This is my MOC for the Chitauri Leviathan from The Avengers. I plan on buying the parts and building it in real life. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to leave them on my Flickr page. If anyone wants the LXF file for the Leviathan, let me know and I'll add it. The 1x2 empty space above the gold on the side of the head will have a stud shooter, which isn't in the standard LDD yet.

    [MOC] The Fantasti-Car

I wanted to build a Fantasti-Car to display my Fantastic Four figures. It is loosely based on its representation in Lego Marvel Super Heroes, but is more of a custom design. The pods do separate EDIT: I swapped out the Technic pins for the stud pins and it looks much smoother. I am planning on getting a Fantastic Four logo to put on the front. I hope you enjoyed!

    Are You Worthy?

Are you worthy? My latest MOC is Thor's Hammer. Hammer1 by Nicholas Halliday, on Flickr 1:1 scale (or as close as I could get) based on the 2011 movie. It has taken me a long time to get the size, angles and overall design right. I've had a number of attempts at it. I will be displaying it next weekend here in Newcastle, Australia with my 1:1 Captain America Shield.
