  2. DAY 6 The jury deliberated long and hard, finally deciding it was time for Stephanie Diaz (Lady K) to face the music. The police led her away in chains. "Good riddance" muttered Tony (jluck). Night time fell, and the citizens went about their normal routines... Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) chased down the bus after leaving his pants there for the third time this week... ...while Gary Johnson (Kintober) went pickaxe shopping. "Welp, I guess this pickaxe is as good as the next..." Finally, the sun rose on the bedraggled jurors occupying the courthouse. "Just five of y'all left... Stephanie Diaz (Lady K) was another member of the Town. I think we're at a tipping point, and there's still a chance, however slim, to stop Sleaze from throwing this trial. Please don't screw it up again." 3. DAY 5 The jury was in, and Amanda Callahan (Khscarymovie4) was out. Chief McCain briskly took her away for questioning. Night found Brock Martin (Tariq j) sitting quietly on a bench, wondering who to interview for the next segment on his show. "You can interview me!" said a dark figure, appearing suddenly to Brock's side. "Really?" "No, you can't! I hate paparazzi!" With that, a muffled gunshot silenced the legendary voice of radio forever. Downtown, Clifford Schauer (LegoMonorailFan) was making his last delivery of the day, and of his life, though he didn't know it yet. "Damn! This box is heavy!" He rapped loudly on the door to rouse whatever sleeping soul lay within. Instead of a kindly old lady or disgruntled deliveryman, Clifford got a shotgun in the face. "This will teach you for not keeping your nose out of other people's business!" Clifford's body tumbled over the railings, and the sand around him slowly turned red as a grim reminder not to cross the crime families of Brickton, Brickslyvania. The sun rose, and Judge Justuss addressed the six remaining members of the jury. "Morning fellas. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news first: there's few enough of you left that we can move from the sidewalk to the conference room. That's neat, and should stop my arthritis from flaring up. Oh, and Brock was another member of the Moletti Crime Family. Unfortunately, Amanda and Clifford were both Innocent Townsfolk. I can't help but notice we still haven't caught any of Sleaze's crew - the Ballagios. Please do better today, I fear we may be fast running out of time." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (6) Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (8) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Lynched Day 3 - Innocent Townsfolk Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Lynched Day 4 - Innocent Townsfolk Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Killed Night 4 - Moletti Crime Family Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Killed Night 4 - Innocent Townsfolk Rules: 1. 4. DAY 4 "I swear I'm being framed! You have to believe me! It was Amanda-!" "Tell it to the judge!" Night came and went peacefully, and the sun rose on nine jurors. "I regret to inform you the chief and I were unable to get anything useful out of Dez. He was a loyal member of the Town. Please try and do better today." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (9) Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Cheerleader Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Radio Host Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Mailman Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (5) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Lynched Day 3 - Innocent Townsfolk Rules: 1. 5. DAY 3 Dusk fell as Alan Andrews (KotZ) returned from a long day of deliberation in the courthouse. "I hope this trial gets over soon so I can get back to my trees... I love trees. They're really the only ones that understand me." He was approached by a dark figure. "What can I do for you, stranger?" The shadow replied only with a blast from his shotgun. The shadow smiled grimly as Alan slumped forward. "Sorry Alan, but it looks like you've chopped your last tree." Elsewhere, Harry Oldman (fhomess) looked for somewhere to refill his dwindling supply of booze. "Dez said his shop should be somewhere around here..." A dark figure emerged from an alleyway, and Harry turned to face him. "You know where I can find Mr. Hunter's legitimate storefront enterprise? I've been looking every-" He was interrupted with a shotgun shell that narrowly missed him, shattering his bottle instead. "Hey-!" The second shot found its mark, bringing the story of the grizzled vet to a grizzly end as his blood mixed with shards of broken glass on the cold sidewalk. Morning came and the judge addressed the remaining jurors. "Gentlemen and women of the jury, I have some terrible news. Two of our own, Mr. Oldman and Mr. Andrews, were found dead last night. The police are investigating their deaths as homicides, and urge anyone with information to come forward. A thorough examination of their bodies has lent us some important information, however - Mr. Oldman was a loyal member of the Town. Even more troubling is our results on Mr. Andrews. He was affiliated with neither the town nor Sleaze's crew, but rather their rival the Moletti Crime Family. Make of that what you will, but it may have serious repercussions for the rest of our trial. Please, bring the chief and I whatever monster is responsible for the deaths of these men. You are dismissed." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (10) Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Cheerleader Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Radio Host Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Mailman Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Businessman Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (4) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Note: For failing to post in thread or place a vote yesterday, Tina Hooper (Umbra-Manis) will receive 3x penalty votes when voting opens. Rules: 1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the TOWN or the MAFIA. 6. DAY 2 A dark figure crept silently over the rooftops, as if up to some nefarious deed... But it was just Amanda Callahan (Khscarymovie4) practicing her new cheer routine. "OH EMMM GEEEEE absolutely cannot wait to put this on my Instasnapfacegramchaterbook! The girls are gonna LOVE IT!" Elsewhere, Tony (jluck) ran across an abandoned hotdog cart on his evening stroll. "Well, can't let this go to waste!" *munch* Morning dawned on... eleven jurors. "Hey, where's Cathy?" asked Jared Hartman (Kwatchi). "Who am I going to play BotBS with now...?" Judge Justuss spoke up. "Unfortunately, Cathy fell ill yesterday and has requested to be dismissed from the jury. Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon), the construction worker, will be taking her place. So make him feel welcome. Or don't. He'll probably get killed off soon anyways. Other than that, not much to report. Quiet night. So, do your thing, maybe turn someone over to the Chief and I to question today. I've been itching to do some... uh... interrogating. Let's call it that." 7. DAY 1 In the dusty city of Brickton, Bricksylvania, a nervous crowd had gathered outside the town hall. They yelled annoying things, like "When are you going to let us in!" and "Let's get this trial over with!" Finally, the majestic judge Neil Justuss stepped out of the building. "Gentlemen and women of the jury. I have some bad news. I believe our trial has been... compromised, and even now members of the Ballagio crime family walk among you." *collective gasp* "I know, I know, it's terrible. The obvious course of action would be to simply dismiss all of you and select a new jury, but Chief McCain here has a better idea. He suggested to me we let you vote off one person each day, and the Chief and I will haul them away to jail for questionably legal interrogation in order to root out the members of the mafia and preserve the integrity of this court. We know they are among us, and we can't let this chance to crack down on organized crime slip away. Good luck." Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. 8. You may not edit your posts, unless you are me. Your host often makes typos and will be compelled to correct them. 9. You must post in every day thread. 10. There probably aren't clues in the pictures or flavor text, but wild speculation is encouraged. It's fun. 11. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. 12. Violation of the above rules will result in a vote penalty of half the required majority against you on your first and second offense, and the death of your character on your third offense. Violation of rule 7 will have a heavier penalty, including suspension, made at the discretion of the Games Moderator.
  8. BREAKING NEWS: Notorious crime boss Sleaze Ballagio has been arrested for money laundering. The trial is fast approaching, but Judge Neil Justuss is justifiably worried that the jury selection process has been rigged! Members of the Bellagio crime family have infiltrated the jury, and are working even now to throw the trial in their favor. Will the townsfolk be able to identify the biased jury members among them before Sleaze walks free? Welcome back to Eurobricks mafia! It's been too long. To sign up, please answer the following questions: 1) Have you played Mafia on Eurobricks before more than once? 2) Will you be active and available (ie don't sign up if you're planning a three-week hike in the Swiss Alps with no internet access!) for the next 4-6 weeks? 3) On a scale on 1 to 12, how mad will you be if the game makes no attempt to follow "proper" courtroom procedure? Signups will run for a little bit after we get 12 players. If more than 12 sign up (which would be great, means more people are interested in more games) players with at least one game under their belt will be prioritized over brand-new players, since this isn't a School. Any issues after that will be decided by lottery. So... signup! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell your second cousins, Eurobricks Mafia is back on the menu! I promise you it will be at least moderately interesting.

  10. On the lot of ABS Pictures, there's trouble. ABS' rival studio, BURPAMOUNT, has infiltrated ABS and is intent on bringing the studio to ruin. Burpamount has already killed the studio head Brick Iger, and they aim to take down the rest of the people. In the wake of Brick Iger's death, co-VPs at ABS Debby Brickolds and Kevin Zpastud have stepped in to keep the studio running, but they're too busy dealing with investors to dedicate time to stopping Burpamount. So they have handed the investigation over to the people on the lot, much to the unions' unhappiness. 20. Lights, Camera, Action! Time is money in the film biz, and it's mafia time. Your lovely hosts Darkdragon and I are looking for 16-21 players, but it's adjustable depending on the sign-ups. So come on in, and audition answer these questions. 1) Have you ever played Mafia before, and what's your experience? If not, have you read some of the games we've had on here? 2) Can you commit to the game timewise? 3) If you could be part of the glitz and glamour (and ugly side) of these things called motion pictures, what would you want to be? The sign-up thread will run until we hit the bare minimum at least. An important note, the game is being cohosted by our fantastic @Darkdragon and I, with the stunning pictures coming from her. For your convenience, the rules have been attached below, so everyone knows what they're getting into. 21. ANYONE CAN POST IN THIS THREAD, NOT JUST PLAYERS! Night fell, and the carrier was silent. Margaret Corrigan (Lady K) stood in the darkened conference room, ready to meet her fate. She turned to face her assailant, a gun in hand. “I was beginning to think you weren’t coming.” “Hail HYDRA!” *KERPOW!* She kicked the gun from their hand! “Now let’s find out who you really are.” She ripped off the mask to reveal Cecilia Reed (Darkdragon)! “Yep, I was the vigilante! And I would of gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids and your dumb host!” What Margaret didn’t know, was that Cecilia always carried a spare gun for just such an occasion. *BANG!* The lights came on, and the Margaret went down in a bloody heap. “Hail HYDRA…” The town block arrived, led by Daniel Bartell (mostlytechnic), with Walter Williams (jluck) in chains. “Nice work Cecilia! We’re pretty sure Margaret was the last scum.” “I’m sure she was. Why didn’t you execute Walter like we voted on?” “Well, hosty forgot all about the day conclusion, so we figured it was better to just lock him up and deal with him in the regular conclusion!” Suddenly, the director in question appeared! “Nice work! I see you caught Ms. Corrigan. She was a HYDRA Agent all right. Now, let’s deal with Walter.” “Any last words Walter?” “Yes! Actually quite a few! First of all, @$ you scum team! You screwed me over with that recruit action! I was so close to winning anyways! Secondly, I don’t think this game was properly balan-“ *BANG* “Yeesh. That’s enough of that.” Walter Williams (jluck) joined his teammate in the afterlife. Nick spoke up. “Walter was a HYDRA Agent as well! Nice work!” Congratulations to the winners, SHIELD, and especially to the survivors, Piratedave84, mostlytechnic, Darkdragon, Tariq j, JackJonespaw, and CallMePie! The winners filed out, and Director Fury was left alone with his thoughts. But he wasn’t quite as alone as he thought… "Hey Nick!” “Gaaah! Security breach! Spidey, how’d you get in here?!” “That’s not important! What is important is that you just hosted a Marvel-themed mafia game with absolutely no superheroes whatsoever!” “Well Spidey, all good things in time…” Thanks for playing everyone! Writeboard links, list of roles, night actions, and some thoughts on the game are down below. You don’t have to read them if you don’t want to. I understand. Scumboard: http://123.writeboard.com/4ctgjz6we0jitjlemvnnorww Pass: sneakyhobbits Deadboard: http://123.writeboard.com/1a3gb8zdab8mqrw38l783v9m Pass: lolurded Night Actions: Roles: Game thoughts: Some player feedback is probably coming sooner rather than later. My apologies for the lateness of this thread - I experienced some technical difficulties, which are detailed in the C&D thread.
  22. Please confirm your participation and receipt of a Role PM here. IF YOU SIGNED UP TO PLAY AND HAVE NOT RECIEVED A ROLE PM PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY! Beyond that, this thread can be used as a general discussion thread, whether you are playing in the game or not. (For example, complimenting me on my wonderful characters and pictures you may see in the Day threads ) If you're dead, discuss the game mechanics on the deadboard, not here. That ruins the game for everyone else. Host (1) Nick Fury, played by mediumsnowman The director of SHIELD, Fury is a no-nonsense leader toughened by bouts of intense conflict with the Red Skull and the villainous forces of HYDRA. Beware. He can and will mod-kill you. NPC’s (2) Phil Coulson, NPC Despite dying during the events of the first Avengers movie, Phil is still here. Nobody’s complaining though- what would Director Fury do without his right hand man? Maria Hill, NPC A tough and independent woman, Maria Hill has not died yet. Her levelheaded-ness and logical thinking have carried her and the crew of the Helicarrier through many difficult times. Players (16) Daniel Bartell, played by mostlytechnic Daniel is a top-ranking executive, visiting the Helicarrier with his coworkers Margaret and William for a top-secret meeting with Director Fury. He’s very proud of his intense mustache. Don’t say anything about his mustache, as Daniel is known to have a fiery temper. James Cunningham, played by Bob James is the leader of SHIELD’s elite tactical squadron. He’s rather laid-back, but he’s the best of the best out in the field and has led several successful missions. Some have speculated he may secretly be a werewolf, as he refuses to run missions in the full moon, but nobody has been able to prove it. Eugene Lawson, played by Forresto Eugene is a technician and whiz with computers. If something is broken, Director Fury can rely on him to fix it. Eugene is fairly quiet, but when he does open his mouth, people listen. The secret to his success- yellow work gloves and a seemingly magical screwdriver given to him by a certain Dr. Wynn, whom he met long ago on a mountain far, far away. Jafar Masrani, played by JackJonespaw Jafar is the ships cook. He can make anything, anytime, for anyone – the very definition of a short order chef. He is secretly jealous of his wildly successful cousin, who used to own an amusement park. It could have been him with the riches, but instead, he’s stuck flipping patties for a top-secret government organization. Hailey Coleman, played by Comrade Commander Hailey is a research scientist for SHIELD’s R&D department. She worked closely with Dr. Banner before he… well, you know. People keep telling her to tie her hair back (apparently it’s some sort of fire hazard in the lab) but in her own words, “I’m a strong independent woman who ain’t gonna listen to the haters.” Nobody argued, probably because she was holding a flask of potentially dangerous chemicals at the time. Todd Castillo, played by Tariq j Todd used to be a run-of-the-mill guard at a SHIELD warehouse, until he saw something he shouldn’t have and Fury was forced to either silence him or keep him closer. Being the kind and generous soul that Fury is, Castillo got a job on the Helicarrier. He’s a bit of an alcoholic, and is rumored to be descended from the legendary Upswich clan. Jasper Heinz, played by PirateDave84 Jasper is another technician, and close friends with Eugene. While Eugene specializes in the electronic side of things, Jasper can fix just about anything else, from jet planes to the economy, with the help of his trusty wrench and glorious beard. Cecilia Reed, played by Darkdragon Cecilia is a flight technician and part-time pilot. Though normally a focused and hard-working individual who lets nothing come between her and success, she has recently developed a bit of a crush on Jeffrey, another flight technician and wannabe pilot. She’s also an avid X-Men fan, even though they don’t technically exist in this universe. Jeffrey Brown, played by Dragonfire Jeffrey is a flight technician who aspires to soar through the air in a fighter jet. He’s a spunky and energetic young individual, who’s sense of humor has helped him through many hard times on his career path. He’s also completely oblivious to his co-worker Cecilia’s feelings for him. Walter Williams, played by jluck Walter is another executive visiting the Helicarrier for an inspection and meeting with Director Fury. He is by far the oldest on the board, and has an obnoxious tendency to refer to everyone else as “youngsters.” He tends to start every other sentence with “Back in my day…” Robert Thorn, played by Umbra-Manis Robert is a middle-aged man full of ambition. He has played second-fiddle to James all his life, and is poised to take over the leadership position when he eventually retires. Despite his harsh exterior, Robert is actually a pretty nice guy at heart. He donates to and volunteers at several charity organizations, in honor of the wife and son he lost when the Chitauri attacked New York. David Leffel, played by fhomess Leffel is a member of SHIELD’s extraction team. His sole job is to get other agents out of sticky spots. No one is sure if they’ve ever actually heard him speak. He’s gained a reputation as a “passive participator” or more accurately an “active non-participator.” No one is quite sure what to make of him; he’s a bit of an enigma. Steven Schram, played by Khscarymovie4 Steven spends all day in the Helicarrier workout room, which has led to the well-defined muscles on his plastic torso. Either that or the host stole his torso from a more comic-book figure. No one is quite sure. He is quite fond of scary movies, particularly Scary Movie. Alyssa Turner, played by CallMePie Alyssa works in the Helicarrier medbay and has saved the lives of countless agents. Optimistic and cheerful, Alyssa is always smiling. It’s almost like her face is printed that way. She’s constantly bugging Jafar to make her the one food he can’t master- the taco. Kinjobby O’Laughlin, played by Junior Shark Kinjobby might be the most dedicated pizza delivery man this universe has ever seen. 24. Deep in the bowels of the Helicarrier, Eugene Lawson (Forresto) was screwing around on the computer terminals... playing Galaga, of course. Unbeknownst to the hardcore gamer, a dark figure silently watched him from across the room. Suddenly, in a fit of rage, the figure lept towards Eugene... ...he never stood a chance. *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* Mr. Lawson was gunned down without mercy. Morning came, and the body was discovered... Director Fury promptly ordered a NPC Janitor to clean up the mess. "Yo! I'm a NPC! Names Mr. Windu. Distant cousin of Director Fury." The Mr. Fury in question gathered the survivors for an important message. "Alright guys, I have good news and bad news. Bad news first. As you may have guessed, Steven Schram (Khscarymovie4) was Loyal to SHIELD. However, this data chip I recovered from the late Mr. Lawson, has told me he was in fact a villainous HYDRA Agent! 25. It was late at night, and Robert Thorn (Umbra-Manis) was sleeping soundly. He awoke to a suspicious noise from far across the carrier. "Hmm. Looks like dark suspicious figures are up to something tonight!" He removed his helmet to reveal a glorious mane! "Much better." Then he went back to sleep. Elsewhere, Jeffrey Brown (Dragonfire) couldn't sleep and was wandering around the control room. "Wow! It really is a lot more peaceful here at night without anyone else around." He almost didn't notice the dark figure sneaking up behind him. But he did, and turned around just in time. The figure spoke. "Hi there Jeffrey! I've got some fruit for you. You know, all this sneaking around makes one really hungry." "Sweet! Thanks suspicious figure! I love fruit! Much better than anything Jafar can come up with. I can't stand curry." "Hey, that's racist." And they both went their separate ways. Meanwhile, Kinjobby O'Laughlin (Junior Shark) was taking his nightly stroll. "Aye, ah just loves me mah nightly stroll! Thos' fooles in der' just don't understand mah and mah mad pizza-making skills. Nah, they just don't." A dark figure crept up behind him, this one with less benevolent purposes. The dark figure brought a mace down on poor Kinjobby's head! The pizza maker was no more. Morning dawned, and the group reconvened in the control room. They couldn't help but notice one of their own was missing. Nick Fury spoke. "I regret to inform you we lost one of our own last night. Kinjobby O'Laughlin (Junior Shark) was Loyal to SHIELD. Please, end this killing and bring me a HYDRA agent today. I beg of you." "You have 72 hours."
