    HoM: Draccon

Here is my entry to the Hero or monster contest. Name:Draccon Status:infected Life: Draccon was part of the first hero team to fight the brain menace. When arriving on an unknown planet he was welcomed by a brain. The brain jumped and clung onto his hand only mutating him slightly. In his first stage of mutation he had 3 more hero cores added to him. At first his team was surprised that their teammate was being mutated but as they saw him only receive 3 more cores they all went out to find brains of their own. Once they all attached the brains to their back the same happened to them but just when they finished they saw Draccon mutate into a horrid creature. his legs extended and his head turned into one of a wolf. His original blaster grew bigger and his sword became electrified. Draccon's teammates ran in fear only to be destroyed by their old leader. When the Hero Factory headquarters heard about this failed mission they designed new suits to contain the mutation if a hero does get infected by a brain, it would only result in their masks flipping up. They quickly deleted any known facts of the heroes sent on the mission for they didn’t want any of the heroes trying to mutate themselves. They don't know what happened to Draccon but all we are sure about is that he is still there somewhere in the galaxy. Moc: Front: Draccon has one hero core on each limb. The brain is attached to his blaster Back: Brain connection point: Poses: Edit: tweaked model and poses. slight story change There you have it C&C appreciated

  4. The Hobbit is a fantastic theme. Inspired by SheepEater's MOC index I decided to make a index of Hobbit MOCs, I love seeing the MOCs people have built especially as it was when I saw Blake Bear's Hobbit MOCs that inspired me to get into building my own builds. The theme is great not just because Lego got a license and produced excellent sets, but because of the hard work and commitment of all the fans who didn't wait around for Lego sets and built for themselves Hobbit MOCs for around the last 20 years (maybe even earlier than that.) Since there is currently no Hobbit MOC index I propose to create one... with a twist. I believe I have seen most, if not all of the movie's major scenes redone in Lego mocs over the years. So I want the index to be chronological to the story, the extra scenes of the movie will also be here There will probably be 15 or so Gollum's Cave...so be it. They will all be listed next to each other. There will only be links, otherwise the page will be too large or take too long to load. The goal is basically to show every scene in the ENTIRE story done in Lego, in a single topic. I'll update this first post periodically with all the links to MOCs posted on this thread, and I'll have the job of arranging them chronologically - you can trust me on that, You've gotta help me though - I have loads of school work, and can't find them all by myself. PM me, or post the links here! Let's begin! 5. Hey all! This is my first Castle - themed MOC. I have always enjoyed this theme, as some of my first sets as a kid were Castle sets. After seeing many great MOCs and scenes from builders here, I thought I'd have a go at one. I decided to do a forestmen type creation, as they have always been a favorite LEGO faction to me. Anyway, here it is. This is the overall scene, built on a 32 x 32 base. And that's it . Thanks for viewing, and as always, C&C welcome. EDIT: More photos and full set on Flickr

  7. This is an American Flag MOC I made in LDD. There is a display stand hidden behind the main model. The 2x3 plates with holes are for hanging this MOC from a wall if it were to be built in real life. Click the picture below for a larger picture, and click here to download the LXF file. This MOC is dedicated to all fighters for independence--past, present, and future. -Toa Of Justice
  8. [pid][/pid] 150B Ahoy mates! I be Cap'n Redshanks, mighty pirate, and for many years now I've been a regular visitor of these fine forums - but nary a post have I made. My meager collection of pirate LEGO hasn't produced much worth sharing. Now that I be home for the summer, it's time to set sail in my first completed MOC: the "Sea Chantey", me flagship. Enjoy! Most of the techniques and parts I utilized came from TLG ships, like the POTC Black Pearl and 2009 Brickbeard's Bounty. The sails are made of cardstock paper, and the reef points are (very poorly) hand-drawn. Here are some more views: A view from the port quarter. From dead astern. Dead-ahead, bow-on. A closer view of the stern. Nothing fancy here; the gold cutlasses came from the Pirate Captain in TLG's Minifigs Collection. The main cabin. Apologies for the blurry picture. The doors are a wee bit close to the mainmast, but I couldn't move the mast forward too much or else it would ruin the proportions of the ship; it'll just be a tight squeeze for the captain A closeup of the quarterdeck. See how close those doors are? I will probably change that later... Closeup of the winch over the gun deck. It can rotate in any direction. The gun deck. She can mount three guns per side, unless you clear out the cabin and stick cannons out the windows...improvisation, after all, is the art of a true pirate! A very blurry shot of the figurehead, a parrot. It seemed to fit with the aesthetics of the ship... That's it! Please leave your comments, criticisms, insults, and angry exclamations below. Fair winds and following seas, me buckos! - Redshanks

  15. An 8x12 studs MOC vignette, featuring CMF Native American and a clueless researcher. While mapping the land, our brave researcher has become rather lost. However, he is unaware of the tribal hunter hiding in wait behind the bushes. What are his intentions, will he capture him, kill him or perhaps demand a shipment of Firewater? 17. What does the word “sky” mean on asteroids? Sky is the atmosphere right? So do they lack one? Or would it just be space and all its twinkling stars? The professor wondered these things as he walked up to the dusty, ruined door of the similarly dusty, ruined building. “Gash!” he yelled angrily. “Gash here reporting for duty, sir!” replied the hero, Gash, who was to be the professor’s bodyguard on this mission. Most heroes wouldn’t be very excited for a mission like this, but Gash was just happy to be back in the field, after his last two missions both resulted in… incidents. “I need you to break down this door.” “Sir, yes, sir!” Gash replied, knocking down the door. The professor coughed as dust filled the air from the old door. The two walked into the old building, finding the interior to look much more well kept than the exterior, but still it didn’t look like anyone had been there for a few weeks. “Gash, stay here while I see what’s in here.” “Sir, yes-“ “No more “sirs”!” “Yes sir- I mean, never mind!” The professor walked into what looked like a high tech lab. There were dozens of computer monitors, and a large chair in front of the biggest one that appeared to be on. He sat down and wiped the dust of the screen. The monitor had a single file on it. “Hmm” muttered the professor out loud as he snaked the cursor to the file and clicked it. The document appeared on the screen. He began to read it. It was not two weeks after I was assigned The Project that he arrived. He was Nick Evero, a hero on a recon mission for The Breakout. He came to this asteroid looking for escaped villains. Unluckily to him, my research was very important to my employer, so he had station several goons to protect me. They were quickly able to defeat him, locking him up in case he would be needed later. Unfortunately he would be needed. In those two weeks The Project had consumed my life, so it was that a week after Evero arrived the first prototype was ready. So it was decided that it would be tested on Evero. I was employed to create a life form, one that would be able to find other life forms, latch onto them and be able to control them. I was to create a Brain Slug. The first prototype was much different than the final design. The prototype had large, round, blind eyes that could only sense heat. It was also more slug-like, without legs. It had a beak, able to break into the victim’s head, in order to access the brain. We all gathered around the window of the room Evero was restrained in, and watched in grotesque fascination as the slug slowly, menacingly, crawled toward Evero. Finally it made it, latching onto him. At first nothing seemed to happen. The first prototype was branded a failure, and we went back to researching. But the first slug was anything but a failure. Over the next few weeks Evero was slowly mutated by the slug. It wasn’t until too late that we noticed. By the time we did the final version of the Slug was complete and we had packed up, ready to show it to my employer. As we got into our ship we heard the sound of metal being ripped to shreds. “Evero’s breaking free!” said the last one into the ship, panting. We quickly began to take off, hearing doors being ripped in half, clawed feet shredding the floor, and above all blood curdling shrieks. We saw Evero break though the door, to where our ship was. His shrieks were terrible; they still give me nightmares, as does the sight of him standing over some of my bodyguards, ripping them to shreds. Be warned, soon there will be a massive Brain Attack. The brains will be much milder than the first prototype, of course. “A Brain Attack! I’ll surely be promoted for finding this info! Gash!” said the professor out loud. Then he read the last paragraph of the document. I should warn you too. Not that it’ll do you any good. He never left. If you’re reading this, you aren’t… alone. A sense of dread washed over the professor. “ Gash…” He whispered. He looked to his side to see something eerily rolling towards him. As it stopped rolling the professor saw what it was: Gash’s head, still sparking. “Gash…” He whispered again. Suddenly he felt a presence, a dark presence, and then he knew. The document was right. He wasn’t alone. The first ever Brain Slug. Creator’s Comments: I hope you like the MOC and story. I put lots of effort into both. I build Nick Evero in the way I would imagine a Hero Factory UCS set would be done. His non-mutated side was inspired by the 1.0 heroes. The mutated side was just my twisted imagination. I really like how he turned out. I love both color schemes and I think they work well together. Oh, and this is my first Hero Factory creation ever. Hope you enjoyed!
  18. While waiting for my orders to arrive I threw together a simplistic vignette for CMF Street Skater minifigure. I wanted to create a full skate park, but I was somewhat short on 2x2 dark and light bley tiles.

    ORCA-II Bio-Mech Submarine

Hey All, A redesign of an older MOC. Wanted to included a few play features in the new build. (The ORCA-II sports two flick-fire torpedoes and one flick-fire harpoon that can be used to haul in the submersible's catch. The ORCA-II also has at its disposal a scout drone called Remora) (Remora launching for a mission) (ORCA-II hauls in a rather ornery catch for the day) Feedback is, as always, welcome rongYIREN

    Dragonfly Helo

Hey Everyone, It's still a WIP but at least I've got it brick built. Originally I thought that I'd have this one knocked off my 'to do' list with just a couple quick Bricklink orders. However, 4 Bricklink orders later as well as two local orders made here in Taiwan and still I'm lacking parts. I might just give up brick building for the much easier digital building... yeah, right. The final color should be a Neon-Green and Dark Purple scheme. Not the Red that you see here. I think one of the ideas I wanted to explore with this model and which would explain the inclusion of the Galaxy Squad member in the cockpit is that it is a craft designed to mimic the Insectoid vehicles which would allow GS to covertly infiltrate Insectoid base camps... or something like that. Or... maybe not. Anyway, critiques are very welcome. I'm looking forward to finalizing this guy. (UPDATE!) Now in Purple... MOC: The Nightwing

Hello everyone! The Nightwing cruiser was an idea I got while thinking of a crossover idea for DC and Star Wars. The Nightwing takes it name from its color scheme, which reflects the colors of the DC character Nightwing. Updates coming soon.
