  1. We just posted up the farm house and thought that it is best seen in it's natural setting. We've still got to complete a proper barn and silo and will put in some proper fields soon too. Short of those items most of the farm is in place. Enjoy. If you'd like to see more feel free to click here or here.
  2. I present to you my creation! It is a wheel loader. I was trying to make a PF version of 8439, but with the the shape of the small LA plus the gears, it was not happening. So I just started working from the turn table on up. It has: 4x medium motor 2x reciever 4x wheels (of course it does) ???-parts (still working on the LDD of it) You can see it is a little short on finished, but want to show what I made and thoughts on what else I could make it in to. The steering is a little complicated. It's all gears, but turns slow enough. It turned slower and not jerky in the first biuld, but in the redesign I could not fit one of the gear pairs in. I should shorten the arms a little bit, because it can only pick up 3 of the 68.8x24 wheels. A few more pictures are www.bricksafe.com/pages/weavil

    MOC: Pirate Quayside

[pid][/pid]229A <Takes deep breath> OK this is my first MOC to be posted in the Pirate Forum. I know it's a cruel, cruel place - full of scurvy dogs and salty tales. My only hope is that the ongoing Redcoat vs. Bluecoat skirmishes means that this creation can pass under the radar and avoid the scorn and ridicule that it deserves Anyway it's been a year since emerging from the dark ages and in that time I managed to plunder a few POTC bargains, but I found the sets a little disappointing so after several Bricklink orders and much building and rebuilding I present a Pirate-ridden Quayside. There's a lot going on so I broke it into a bunch of snippets It doesn't matter how many fish you catch I you can't get them in the bucket! Look out below when you empty the nightsoil bucket Not sure what Capt Jack's done to upset this man! Maybe the Girl in the window is somehow involved. Thanks for reading!
  4. The Lego Farm set (7637) was literally the first 'official' set my daughter and I started with. What started as a fun little set in the middle of the dinning room table has grown into what is Godwins Hollow today - in just a few years - so Lockridge Farms quite literally is the cornerstone of our city. This is the farm house in the center of the farm. As always, if you'd like to see more feel free to click here or here.

    MOC - Bakery

Hi all! JUST WANTED TO QUICKLY SHOW YOU ALL… oh geez, caps lock… ahem…. Just wanted to quickly show you all my bakery, THE place to get your cookies, cakes, jams and breads in my town. I've just rebuild it seeing as I wasn't completely happy with the previous one. In advance I apologize for the quality of the photos, I don't have a good camera. So here we go! The (to me) most important part is the bakery shop of course. I'm gonna order new (non-scratched) transparent curved panels to replace the ones in this window. Lots of shades of browns in here! Stuck a pretzel to the sign with a piece of tape, but just temporarily; I hope to find a nice sticker to take its place soon. I love how the table of homemade jams turned out! The top of the building has a heavy, almost gothic feel to it, with dark colors and lots of ornaments. The roof is based on Dutch stepped gables. Inside the bakery we have lots of baked goods on display, and a semi-open kitchen with a large oven and everything the baker needs to create his delicious plastic goodies. There is a restroom under the stairs. Upstairs is the apartment. First we have the kitchen and lounge. Second is a kids room and bathroom. Top floor is the main bedroom, with a balcony. Some more overviews: Thanks for having a look!

    MOC - friendly Mustang GT-500

Hello there! After some time of loyal lurking I've decided to share some of my creations :). Let me introduce myself first, as this is my first post here - I'm a typical AFOL, thanks to having own children in proper age (pre- and primary school), I've managed to get back to old hobby. As both of my children are girls, so the field of construction is quite obvious - Friends serie ;). I've decided to improve the standard garage, supplied by the Lego Group, so you can expect some 4-wheeled creations, 6- or 7-wide. The first choice is one of my first creations, the 7w car inspired by the iconic muscle car - Ford / Shelby Mustang GT-500 - not a specific model, rather the mix of 2010 - 2013. As most of my MOCs, it's designed to be playable by 3-years old kid - heavy duty construction, and the obligatory openable doors (I even can't think about the car without such feature ;)). So, the requirements are quite hard, but the results are quite good, I hope :). Sorry for the mediorce photo quality (terrible focus depth), but didn't have too much time to play with the friends' camera, borrowed for short time :). So, let Olivia to introduce one of her cars: More photos on my flickr page. Downlolad LDD file. My other presentations:
  8. Pate-keetongu

    MOC: Fili

Here's the newest - and the second to last - dwarf on my Company of Thorin Oakenshield project (which was formerly called Hobbit Dwarves project, but I am going to build Gandalf and Bilbo too, so...). Fili is brother of Kili (who made it into Eurobricks front page - yeah!) and nephew of Thorin Oakenshield. This young dwarf was a fun build as I had had 1 three-week break from MOCing bacause my summer job in nothern Finland. I's especially pleased with the face, boots and scabbard strap (which uses cord piece from CMF fishing rod). The hair was challenging: The only medium dark flesh pieces used are Persian arches, 1x2 bricks and 1x2 tiles, somehow held together via half-pins and other SNOT magic connections. The heirs of Durin: Thorin, Fili and Kili. There's more photos on Brickshelf, more information on Cyclopic Bricks and an overview of this project on Flickr set. This is also my 500th post on Eurobricks! Who's the knigh now! To the heroic deeds----->! EDIT: The heroic deed was to change my name into Pate-keetongu, the name I use in the most parts of LEGO community, without interrupting admins. But deep inside I'm still a pig. Better be a pig than a fascist pig, as Porco Rosso famously said.
  9. This is the last interior redesign of the Main Strip Strip Mall collection. Our veterinary clinic has a small waiting area where you pick up pet supplies, the clinic area, and a small boarding area connected to a small outdoor dog run. Hope you enjoy. A quick shot of the old interior by the Brick City Depot folks. Our new interiors... As usual if you'd like to see more click here and here.
  10. Welcome everybody :) Today I’d like to present my new MOC, which was built especially for a contest on LugPol. Porsche 918 Spyder Specifications: Scale 1:10 Length 58s / width 27s / height 13s (46,4/21,6/10,4 cm) Weight: 1800 g Independent suspension 4 steered wheels 4 wheel drive Functions: Driving (RC) Steering (Servo) Tilting spoiler during turning V8 dummy LED headlights Openable mask, bonnet and doors History I started the building of the model 2 weeks ago. In the first week I created the chassis and in the second week the body. The main goal was to build a sports car driven by RC motor with four wheel drive. I was watching different car models, I wanted to build a Lamborghini, but at the Brickshelf there are lots of them. So I decided to build Porsche 918 Spyder, which, similarly as new 911, has 4 wheel steered. The contest assumed that you can use only 2 motors. So to the maximum use of motors I decided to built a spoiler which works like the Pagani Huayra’s one – during turning one side of the spoiler goes up, e.g. the car turn left and the left side of spoiler goes up. Driving Porsche is driven by single RC motor from the slower output with ratio 5,5:1. There are driven four wheels using three diffrentials. Steering To steer I used servo motor. There are two steered axles: the first with ratio 1:1 and second with 2,8:1. To the axle responsible for steering of the rear wheels there is a connection to the spoiler which goes up during turning. Suspension The independent suspension is based on the Lego arms. On each front wheel there is one spring from the yellow absorber 6,5L and a rubber band connected to the arms. In the rear wheels for depreciation there is used one yellow absorber 6,5L for each wheel. Some photos Gallery
  11. This is our take on a little town travel agency. When pulling together our ideas for the place we ran across some really awesome 'vintage' travel posters for fictional locations so we decided to do a two sided travel agency - downstairs you can book traditional travel and vacations and upstairs we can book you into almost any fantasy vacation imaginable. From Hogwarts and Middle Earth to Arakis and Pandora to the worlds of Star Wars, Serenity, and Star Trek. We tried to make some displays for the window and feel we got the gist of it right but may try to fine tune them a bit in the future - downstairs we have a tropical island/cruise thing going on and upstairs there's a rocket to a ringed planet. Anyways, hope you enjoy. As always, if you'd like to see more feel free to click here or here.

    [MOC] Ambush on the bridge

Hi all! Here is a gallery of a MOC I've realized in LDD. It's part of a concept set in a fantasy feudal Japan, a setting I played with table-top RPGs some years ago. This is the first of a series, and my first project submitted for LEGO Ideas. A small gallery (more can be found at the LEGO Ideas page).
  13. In search of suspension ideas I noticed a couple MOCs that I never put on EB, so I decided to share them with you! These MOCs are from the old 'Technic Challenge' days, both buggies, and one is a large scale RC MOC with unique suspension and a tubular body while the other is a simple blend of studded/studless with suspension and steering. MOC #1-large RC offroad buggy One of my only MOCs which had appealing bodywork. Also one of the few MOCs to have reliable independent trailing arm suspension. My second MOC is a small non motorized stadium buggy in which I blended studded and studless constructions. The features included suspension, HOG and wheel steering, and a sealed (no holes for pieces to fall through) open-able trunk where i stored minifig tools. I have a couple more MOCs' photos stored on another computer so, if anything, I'll post them here.
  14. During the move we've had a lot of opportunity to move things around, think about additions to the city, and of course update older buildings. Years ago we asked the great folks over at Brick City Depot to put together a strip mall for our layout. Originally located opposite our row of modulars the strip mall has floated around the layout a few different times. Most recently we broke it up a bit and the five original buildings (and one new one soon to be posted) are now flanking the soon to be built Main Street Plaza Hotel. The flagship store of the mall used to be a clothing store. Having several others in the city we decided to rebrand and repurpose the store into a photo studio and SAS Photo Studios was born. Below are a few photos of the build - hope you enjoy. As usual, you can see more here and here.

    [MOC] Vampyre Squadron

(Click the image to find this project on Lego Ideas) Well I finally got it approved, this is my Vampyre Squadron MOC It consists of five vessels, two fighters, a gunship, a tank, and a missile boat. I based the design on an earlier MOC that I came up with, an Imperial Ice Speeder, but as I know that Star Wars MOCs are very unlikely to succeed on Lego Ideas, I revamped (arf :D ) the design and eventually came up with these five. The Gunship The Strike Fighter The Naval Fighter The Missile Boat The Tank I did also make a sixth model, but as it's blatantly Star Wars based I had to exclude it from the final collection. It's a shame really as out of all the ships, it's by far my favourite. The Interceptor These ships are now listed on the Lego Ideas site, and any support would be greatly appreciated. Now, Lego didn't like me including this image, and I had to remove it before I could get my submission accepted, but I think it looks pretty cool, and I put a fair bit of work in to it :D. I know it's a bit cheeky posting this to try to gather some support, but as no-one that I know is in to Lego (just me) I don't really have any other means of spreading the word. Either way, opinions are welcome :).
  16. After highlighting several of the buildings in the strip mall we thought we should post up a few shots of the whole strip mall together. The mall is situated around what will be the Main Street Plaza Hotel and since the hotel is obviously not done the mall as a whole has a few more pieces that need to be put into place but only after the hotel is up. Just making excuses for the unfinished nature of the layout area. For more feel free to check out our Flickr feed.
  17. The End Zone is the second (of four) building that is part of the Main Street Strip Mall that's getting an interior update. Unlike the SAS Photo Studio which was re-purposed the End Zone was simply re-branded and the interior beefed up a bit. Hope you enjoy. The exterior of the shop is the work of the fine folks over at Brick City Depot. The shop's old interior... The shop's new interior... The display in the front window... The store clerk and a happy customer... As always for more you can click here and here.
  18. Hi all! I was wondering; what rules do you guys live by while creating your creative creations? Do you refuse to mix used and new bricks? Is a certain color banned from your household? Are all your buildings the same height? Do you only want flesh colored minifigs? What about mixing in Friends or Fabuland? Is only the original trilogy of Star Wars allowed? Stuff like that... I have certain rules and guidelines for my modular building MOCs: -Everything has to be functional: All apartments need at least a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and lounge area All shops need a toilet and preferable also a stockroom/canteen/backoffice All floors need to be reachable by stairs (seriously Lego, what's up with the one-way escalators in Grand Emporium??) -I only use yellow minifigs -I wanna see studs as less as possible, but I'm not hating on them -NO mixing of old dark gray with new dark gray, old brown with new brown (except for trees, then I don't mind the mix of hues), etc. Sometimes I mix the light grays if I don't have enough of one or the other, but will change it when I get more -NO other brands / third party bricks (like BrickForge) -Primary colors are only allowed as accent-colors and in non-visible places; NO fully red buildings for me I'm really interested in hearing what kinda rules and guidelines you guys live by. And do you have a reason for certain rules? Or are you a rebel without a cause and do you do whateva you want?
  19. Fancy That is actually a new addition to the Main Street Strip Mall. After the move we had a hole in the lineup around the new hotel's location and the costume shop plugged that hole right up. The exterior is meant to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the strip mall as designed by Brick City Depot and we went with yellow to keep the whole - every building looks the same but has a different color - theme. The interior of the shop is fairly simple and is being used primarily to display some of the collectible minifigs but we think it does the trick for the type of shop that it's supposed to be.By keeping it as simple as it is we've been able to really squeeze in as many 'costumes' as possible. Hope you enjoy. If you'd like to see more please click here or here.
  20. After the move the Flat Rate Courier Shop has been rebranded into DupliBrix Copy & Courier. The building is on the northeast corner of the Main Street Strip Mall so we knocked out a wall and added in some windows while also significantly beefing up the interior. As with the rest of the strip mall buildings the exterior is the design work of the folks at Brick City Depot. The art work is all original but was certainly inspired by the work of BrickBuildersPro. Hope you enjoy. Here's the whole shop from the top down... This is the old interior from Brick City Depot... If you'd like to see more feel free to stop by here and here.
  21. I am fixated on the Super cycle, so here is another version of one. I wanted it to have a crazy amount of lights and be blacked out for the most part. I also made the custom "Police" decals on the white pieces. Comments and criticisms are welcome, thanks for looking.

    MOC: Spyros

I haven't posted any Bio-MOCs here in a while, but I figured with the BIONICLE 2015 images it would be a perfect time to post one of my favorite MOCs! So I present to you... Spyros, the Dark General Here are a few more poses. And a comparison to a normal Rahkshi. Hope you liked this MOC. I've had it sitting on my shelf for a year or so, but just now took pictures I thought did it justice. More shots on MOCpages! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/391925 Thanks for looking!
  24. I'd like to take you to another stop in my burgeoning modular LEGO city! Today's visit is to the Octopus Japanese Restaurant, where minifigs flock for authentic Asian cuisine! Here's Octopus! The torii and rock garden help to allure hungry diners to the restaurant. If you're in the mood for sushi or hibachi, you've arrived at the right place. Around back, we can see the open air dining area. A closeup view of the dining area in the back of the restaurant. Now for a look inside! Here's the ground floor. The sushi bar is to the right, with a casual dining area to the left. Another look at the ground floor. There's a sink in the prep area near the sushi bar, some decorative items on the wall, and a restroom under the stairs. One of the most alluring aspects of the ground floor is the large aquarium, dividing the sushi bar and table settings and giving the restaurant a calm atmosphere. There's even a light feature in the aquarium to further enhance the experience. Here's a look at the bathroom. It's a small space but it has what's necessary. But now, let's travel up the stairs to the next floor: The next level has two hibachi tables. The hibachi is very popular for large parties and business meetings. The chefs are very skilled and put on a highly entertaining show. To the right, another chef prepares food for preparation at the table. Some friends are enjoying sake and miso soup before their entree is served. Swinging doors separate the kitchen area from the patrons in the main dining area. And now, let's go up one final flight of stairs, which really picks up after hours: The top floor contains a karaoke bar and lounge! Patrons sing their hearts out to their favorite songs, but occasionally a professional entertainer puts on her kimono for a performance on selected nights. Dark curtains help keep an ambient vibe and another aquarium and flowers keep the patrons happy. And for musical accompaniment, a full sized piano sits on the stage. Our featured performer hopes you enjoyed your evening at Octopus! Check out more pictures on my Flickr page!

    Excursion to an old mine

Another contemporary build: Excursion to an old mine. I wanted to build some abandoned mine and I use this MOC to try the snotted tecniques for the stone and a new technique to build drywalls. Enjoy!
