  1. This sinister vessel comes with giant propeller, two seats inside the vessel for the brave crew, and a periscope for seeing your enemies before they see you! Help the evil Lord Ogel stalk and sink his nemesis, the Alpha Team, (plus his old foe Johnny Thunder) with his cutting edge submarine by firing torpedoes and diving deep to avoid depth charges. And when all else fails, rev up the engine to ramming speed and run through your enemies' vessels at top speed!* Remember: Run silent and Run deep! (*NOTE: Sub does not actually fire torpedoes, move under it's own power, or float on real water, though it will sink!) This is actually a recolored (and legless) version of the walking shark mech from set 70656. (garmadon, Garmadon, GARMADON!) I revised the color scheme to be suitably more evil and dark for Lord Ogel. I even added a single larger propeller to get more speed to the sub, though I removed the legs to make it truer to the submarine format. Oh, and the lower jaw still opens, though it is on click hinges now to keep it from flopping open. The rear of the sub. As you may have noticed, I truncated the lower real tail fin to make the ship sit flat on the table. This submarine features two lift away roof sections: one for the tail gunner, and the other for Lord Ogel himself to drive / observe the chaos he causes through the rotating periscope! I finished putting together the Ogel Underwater Base (set 4795 from 2002) that I received from my step-father's collection with a few additions from my bins for missing parts. I misread the instructions very early on and didn't notice until it was time to join the two halves together. I also ran out of parts on the rear near the rear half's revolving door, so I had to modify the model a bit to make it into more of a MOD than a straight-up set. Since the last time I showed this Evil underwater base MOD off I added inside walls, a better roof and built a couple of more figures for Ogel's Skeleton Drone army (who are now in gray uniforms, BTW). I also have given Ogel his ancestor Vladek's sword from Knight's Kingdom II, enhanced with an Ogelium crystal coating. Here we see the skull door in the open position. The ramp was my addition , and goes well with the door. Inside the base, which now is 98% enclosed to the elements. It sits in a air dome under the waves of the northern Atlantic ocean, midway between the UK and Normandy where the concealed island of Ogel once sat. (The island sank after an pre-emptive attack by Alpha Team left it crumbling into the sea.) The space chair and desk are for Lord Ogel himself. On his desk is a radioactive drone head used to mutate humans into skeleton drones. It's currently under a protective glass dome to shield others from it's effects. Here is the story I have written so far about Ogel and how he connects to my 1920's Adventurers stuff: Born in 1893 as the last heir of the nation that bears his name, (Ogel) William Joseph Ogel was determined at an early age to rule his country with a iron fist. He became Lord (emperor, in effect) of the country in 1910 and heir to his ancestor Vladek's mysterious powers. (today we would call this physic energy "mind control") However, his control oddly ended at the border of his country. Desperate for power, he devised a scheme to amplify his powers using a strange substance known then as Ogelium to be dispersed via an unknown method. (probably via the water supply) Thankfully, World War I intervened before he could enact his plan, and he scaled back his plans until 1918, when the war ended. He had stayed out of the conflict, and secretly built up his military in the process. In 1920 he lost his left eye in a accident with a small sample of Ogelium, after which William kept the glowing ruby-red socket behind an eye-patch from then on. Determined once more to take over the world on his own terms, in 1925 he contacted Lord Sam Sinister to get him objects of great supernatural power. This eventually led him to the un-named jungle island where he and Sinister actually beat Johnny Thunder and company to the treasure at the last minute. Determined not to share the treasure with anyone, Ogel greedily double-crossed Sinister and grabbed the "treasure" for himself and his army of mind-controlled soldiers. Sam then go into a sword fight with William, which William won, but at the price of his left hand. Afterwards, it was revealed the treasure William took was fake, and than Johnny and Sam had joined forces to blow up the temple after the fight. This was done to prevent William from returning and getting the real deal. Furious, Ogel replaced his hand with one of Ogelium and permanently removed his patch so that anyone could see his scarred eye. After having lost his country during a Great Depression-era revolution (started by Lord Sam Sinister in a grab for power which cost Sam his life) Ogel retreated to his island fortress, whereupon he plotted and schemed for around 30 years to regain his evil standing with the world. By the late 1950's, he had gained the notoriety of a urban legend, a myth mothers told their children to scare them to behave. But certain world leaders knew he was real, and still alive due to an mechanical encounter suit to keep him physically fit. After firing a nuclear rocket at the moon in 1965 to announce to his demands for world conquest (or else!), he was the subject of the newly-formed Alpha Team mission, which, helped by an aged Johnny Thunder, sank Ogel and his entire military base to the deep ocean depths. In 1972, he reemerged from the depths using nuclear-mutated sea life to try to conquer the world once more, and was again stopped by Alpha Team. In 1978, he tried to freeze the world solid, in an "If I can't have it, neither can you" scenario, only to be stopped by Alpha team's leader, Agent Zed. In the process of fighting Zed, Ogel was finally defeated by destroying his encounter suit, revealing the frail, 85-year old man inside. Ogel's final act was to take a fatal does of Ogelium, killing him nearly instantly... but not before detonating a remote nuclear device, destroying Zed and much of Ogel Island. ....rumors persist, however, of a clone of Ogel running amok in the world, trying to regain his evil place in the world as late as 2009.... Comments, Questions, Suggestions, and Complaints are always welcome! EDIT 12/8/2020: added the shark sub to the first post!

  4. The house was originally made in 2007 as a digital construct by Brickshelf user "Widdi" and was found by me at this address back in late 2014. I then changed the color, added a garage and a back half to the building, and eventually put in a chimney styled after the one in set 10228. The car on the other hand was inspired by this build which was in turn a modified version of set 70911, (Arctic Roller) This model is Sam Sinister's largest ride to date and lacks the spring loaded shooters of the original set. I replaced them with a proper car grille. The garage to the side of the building is unusual, as Victorian houses never had them. Thus, I've decided it was a later addition in 1918 by Sam Sinister when he inherited the house from his father, just after Sam returned from World War I. The rear of the building features a large amount of windows, while the far side has a stone chimney flue. The second floor features the master bedroom / writing room with a small balcony on the right hand side. The furniture on the upper floor features a bed, a desk, table with lamp, a cabinet, and a grandfather clock. The ground floor is little crowded with the kitchen and living room appliances / furniture. The items seen here includes a stove, wine cabinet, table with two chairs, phonograph, couch, curio cabinet, and pool table. The sign above the fireplace is supposed to read "1912" for that is the year the house was built. The building is modular, so the roof top, second floor, and ground floor all come apart from each other. The car by itself is about 8 studs wide (with a tiny 1/2 stud bit of overhang on each side due to the front wheel wells) and 28 studs long in total. As a side note, the headlights are not clipped in the same way as the original set had, and are instead sandwiched in place with 1 x 6 plates sand headlight bricks. The rear of the car features a license plate for Lord Sam Sinister and dual exhaust. The gray round thing on the trunk is supposed to house a spare tire, but it doesn't.... it's really just for looks. Two figures (sans tall hats) can fit side-by-side in the car, and their is space in the opening trunk for a briefcase. The teeny tiny mini-figure out by the front door of the house is Lord Sam Sinister... it just gives you an idea how massive the house and car really are! Fictional information on the house's history: Built in 1912, Sinister Manor is one of the last houses built in the Victorian Style of architecture in Ironwood county. It was built by Lord Gregory Sinister for his family, and features one thing not usually seen on Victorian houses: a automobile garage (it was added later on in 1918 when Sam Sinister returned from the Great War.) The house was left to Gregory's family, (his son Sam Sinister & his sister Alexis Sinister) upon the elder Sinister's death of a stroke in 1913. Sam Sinister went on to serve in the British army in World War I, losing his left hand in the conflict and replacing it with a iron hook. When he returned from the conflict Sam set about continuing his fathers tradition: collecting treasures and precious artifacts, through legal and illegal means. The collection was stored in the Attic of the sinister Mansion until it became too large and was moved to a more secure (and secret) location. Thoughts? Complaints? Questions? Feel free to post them! Main Post Edited 2/14/17: added new pictures of the building and the new car. LDD file for both car and house available here.

    MOC: Osgiliath

Hi there! First of all, this is my first try at starting a topic, so Mods please correct me if I'm doing it wrong. After a span of two weeks not photographing anything, I finally had a surge of inspiration and built two LOTR themed Mocs. Osgiliath is presented here. This was my first attempt at doing some ruined wall-ish things, and I rather like how they turned out. I also got to use some Brick Warriors accessories which I have recently fell in love with So without further or do: Osgiliath: Main by Nagol_of_Fortfield, on Flickr And another: Osgiliath Action Shot! by Nagol_of_Fortfield, on Flickr C&C is always welcome and appreciated!

  7. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96035 This is my latest/last LOTR Grey Havens project before presenting the humongous set that joins all previous ones. Description: Mithlond or the Gray Havens The Grey Havens was founded at the beginning of the Second Age by the surviving Elves of Beleriand, those who chose to remain on Middle-earth after the wars against Morgoth. It was afterwards used by the Elves to leave Middle-earth for Valinor. The Grey Havens was part of Lindon, the kingdom directly ruled by Gil-galad, last High King of the Ñoldor in Middle-earth. It was also one of the main sources for the Elven fleet of ships that sailed back and forth between Númenor and Eldamar in Aman. According to the map of Middle-earth Grey Havens's anchorage is divided into the Harlond (the "south-haven") and the Forlond ("north-haven") which occupy the southern and northern banks, respectively, of the River Lune. Because of its cultural and spiritual importance to the Elves, the Grey Havens in time became the primary Elven settlement west of the Misty Mountains prior to the establishment of Eregion and, later, Rivendell. Even after the death of Gil-galad and as the Elves dwindled in numbers by the year, The Grey Havens remained a focal point of the history in the northern part of Middle-earth. Third Age and beyondCírdan the Shipwright was the master of the Havens since its founding; Galdor of the Havens, his messenger, was among the Grey Haven's known inhabitants. Aside from Elves, Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins also went to Valinor from the Grey Havens, and a family tradition held that Sam Gamgee (having been himself a Ring-bearer, albeit briefly) did likewise, in the year 1484 of the Shire Reckoning. (Fourth Age 61) The Grey Havens still existed into the Fourth Age under Círdan but its population declined as did the elven presence in Middle-earth. It is unclear just what the Fate of the Elves of Middle-earth was in the early Fourth Age and how long Círdan or his remaining folk dwelled at the Havens and continued to build the great ships that carried the Elves to the Blessed Realm. The set: Basically I decided to portray in several mosaics the voyage of the elves to the grey havens - showing the ships sailing in sunny days, through storms, into the sunset, etc... The gate is a very tall one but it is firmly put together with the use of several plates along. And as usual I've used several motifs from my interpretation of Beleriand Architecture If you missed the previous projects you can check them out here: - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/51716 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/84919 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88866 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96032
  8. Hey Guys welcome to my MOC of the Lord of the Skull Spiders in humanoid form during absorbing/fusioning with Pohatu. I love constracting my own canon with Bionicle and I love darker storylines, so here is what happened: When the Toa landed on Okoto, Onua just met Pohatu. They decided to search for the other Toa their Protectors have them told of. On their way they found the Lord of the Skull Spiders and his giant army. Seeing that he has no chance against these Toa, the Lord of Skull Spiders commanded his army to distract Onua and Pohatu, while he could do a ruse on Pohatu. He absorbed Pohatu and gained more power than ever before. Now he could beat Onua and bring him under his controll. It is the destiny of the four Toa left to liberate their Brothers and get rid of the Lord of Skull Spiders. This is my first MOC using CCBS since I stopped collecting BIONICLE in 2007. A wave of nostalgia lead me to buy the new 2015 Bionicle, so =D His Body is pretty simple built since it is Pohatus build. His golden armour is Onua's, I swapped the Onua's golden plates with silver ones because it looks better in my opinion. His extra arms came from the Protector of Fire and his weapons, well, just some old style Bionicle swords :D Will the other Toa defeat this powerful enemy and free their brothers?
  9. With Sauron and the Ring destroyed, the Elves of Mirkwood have found a new pastime, instead of slaying Orcs.
  10. This MOC is built for a building contest of Hong Kong. Every minifig is scared of being glued. They need to escape from the attack of Kragle! Help!!! How come you are so calm, Lucy? Unikitty is also under attack! Thanks for watching this!
  11. This MOC was built by my 11 year old brother. The lord of the castle asked Kendrick to go on a hunt with him and Kendrick gladly agreed. Here they come upon a buck in the forest: The buck: Some hedgehogs heading back to their tunnel: He'd appreciate any comments and suggestions

    [MOC] Erebor

Hey all, Well, after almost 6 months of work, here it is. Erebor, I am proud to say, is the largest creation I have had the pleasure of working on and completing. I love the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings (from which Erebor is taken) so I really enjoy working on LEGO projects that pertain to that area. I had a blast working on this project. There is something so inherently satisfying about seeing a project like this come to a close and enjoying the attention it receives that really makes all the hard work worth it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you... Erebor! Hope y'all like it! Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think. Check out the Flickr set for more pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/baericks/sets/72157638097215594/ Have a great day, -Blake Erebros by Blake's Baericks, on Flickr Erebor by Blake's Baericks, on Flickr

    MOC: Orthanc in Micro

Just a quick, yet surprisingly complicated build. I’m rather happy with how it turned out; it’s simple but it works and I think it looks great. Really, I’m just using this as a test run before I eventually make a micro Barad-dûr; which I intend to use the cool Palantiri head for the eye once it’s released (See it here! I called it! No one can use it! ). Regardless, I’m happy with my Orthanc, especially with the spires which use Venom’s new back piece to hold them in place. Enjoy ~Nemo
