Lothario Fraunces and his crew just finished up their business from Puerto Alijo to Port Raleigh, and as we are used from the most honorable Sea Rats they keep their visits nice, clean and as law-abiding as minifigly possible. If one manages to not get hanged be the imperials, and is quick on his wits, the trading , gambling and drinking with the locals sometimes turns out to be a perfect way to gather intel. While the warmongers are off to far away islands, the soldiers left behind are not too bright most of the time. In Port Raleigh, the Fraunces Brothers were not interested in the Corrington ladies or pubs this particular MRCA-visit, but they went straight to George: a soldier who believes he is one of the best friends of Lothario, and who doesn’t know he is mainly useful due to his low-intellect. He was told by Lothario that the Rats only wanted some Red Coats for the annual amateur variety show and dress up party in the Sereen-Cay. Little did he know… To be continued! Hello modular building and City fans, This modular Gothic Cathedral was my entry to Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. I have received many kind comments and support, but unfortunately it has not been selected, therefore I decided to make the instructions available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-148170/_TLG_/gothic-cathedral Kit is available here: https://buildamoc.com/products/gothic-cathedral It is not actually based on a real building, but it contains many typical details: lancet arches, double lancet arch windows, a ridge turret, flying buttresses, portals with series of receding planes, rose windows etc., and there is a matching street lamp too. The roof assembly can be removed as one piece and in this case the internal details are visible: there is an altar with a cross, a candle holder, a church tabernacle, a brick built bible, there are benches, an organ, a holy water stoup etc.. The middle door on the facade and the side doors open outward, and work perfectly, the side doors on the facade open inward and they can be opened if the door handle pieces (the taps) are removed, but it is not se easy to close them in this case. It is a studless build, the unnecessary studs are hidden by tiles. When I started the design, the first version included appr. 4600 parts, so I had to optimized and simplified it a bit, but I am still really satisfied with the result. For example it could be very nice if there was trans color plates in the holes of the window fences, but it would mean too much additional parts (and I am also not sure if it is a legal technique). The building instructions guidelines have been followed. It is built from the palette "BDP Series 1", so there are some color and part restrictions. The part 15744 could be awesome as rose window on the facade, but unfortunately it is not available in black or light bluish gray. However, the technic gear 40 tooth works too. The bells could be pearl gold or something similar, but the best available option is the black which is ok. I hope you like my design, I appreciate any feedback. The fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy just joined my Midi-Scale ship collection! Here comes the Millennium Falcon from Episode IV – A New Hope. Made of 2,178 pieces, measuring only 34cm and weighting almost 1kg, this compact yet dense Falcon was another unique challenge at this scale. After seeing some great-looking Figscale MOCs of this tricky ship, I couldn't resist making a Midi version. With this design, I took a different approach than most other Falcons out there, and wanted it to look as sleek and gapless as possible. This resulted in a pretty elaborate and unique mix of paneling techniques that involved a lot of SNOT building. One of my priorities was to faithfully reproduce the curved saucer shape on both sides of the ship, and not only on top. As a result, the build features all the details and shapes of the original 1977 studio model, from top to bottom. The overall thickness of the ship was another concern. I wanted it to be as thin as the original, while being able to sandwich some tasty greebles and even the hyperdrive engine bay inside the saucer. The Falcon has two display modes, "in-flight" with its canted stand, and "landed" with easy-to-install landing gear. Hello Trabi and Speed Champions fans, Trabant 601 (or Trabant P601 series) is one of the most iconic Eastern Bloc cars of my childhood. It was a Trabant model produced by VEB Sachsenring in Zwickau, Saxony. It was the third generation of the model, built for the longest production time, from 1964 to 1990. As a result, it is the best-known Trabant model and often referred to simply as "the Trabant" or "the Trabi". During this long production run, 2,818,547 Trabant 601s were produced overall and it was the most common vehicle in former East Germany. I have minimized the number of the stickers to keep the flexibility of the parts in further builds, therefore only two standard vehicle registration plate stickers and a Trabant logo sticker are used. I wanted to build the model as accurate as possible in this small scale, therefore it contains lots of details: for example the iconic head and rear ligths, the front grill, the side view mirror, the door handles etc... Maybe the most challenging one was the wheel and mudguard detail with a half stud offset. The model has space for one minifigure with small or middle sized hair. If you prefer the Universal version, then you need only 3 extra parts and it is an easy modification. Hey everyone, for a couple of months I've been working on a lego technic camper module that fits on Lego 42129 easily! After a lot of designing, I have come up with a design. I've made a video for all to see and please let me know what you think of this model. This model doesn't affect the Zetros's ability to move in any way (however just to be safe please consider reinforcing the rear axle). It has the following features: Awning Interior with dedicated seating area, bedding and kitchen (kitchen has to be built with bricks haha) rear compartment storage along with a lock Openable windows for ventilation Flexible but sturdy structure for offroading openable door Additional step ladder that can be used to enter the unit Additional storage on the door side of the unit that has a separate compartment to the rear storage space for jerry cans Space for extra wheel -

Daneben wollen wir aber auch Einzelanlagen oder -modelle ihren Platz geben.Wie in den vergangenen Jahren steht uns dafür das "Alte Straßenbahndepot Schkeuditz" (Rathausplatz 5, 04435 Schkeuditz) mit einer Gesamtfläche von rund 700qm zur Verfügung.Wir, die Leipziger LEN-Eisenbahner, erarbeiten im Vorfeld einen möglichst abwechslungsreichen Gleisplan und stellen für euch die Grundkonstruktion. Aufbau im letzten JahrWir suchen daher LEGO – Eisenbahner...... die Lust auf Netzwerken haben und sich auf einen regen Austausch untereinander freuen.... die eine Landschaft zur Gemeinschaftsanlage beisteuern. I always build my MOCs in Studio first, and time and time again I found myself wishing I had a Lego color chart that would not only be a reference to identify colors, but would also help me decide on colors for my designs by allowing me to try out different patterns, so I created this: (Click on it to see the full size. It shows colors as rendered in Studio with these settings: Asteroid, Intensity 1.) At the moment, it’s not possible to build it, because many colors don’t exist as 1x1 bricks or 1x4 tiles, but I would really like to have this made of real bricks, so I also submitted it on Lego Ideas. The cards could then be used like paint swatches, you could hold a card against a MOC you are building to see which color would look best for a certain part. And the 1x1 bricks (plus 1x2 tiles for transparent colors) would allow us to experiment with colors and try out different color patterns, like this: I also designed a little display stand to hold the cards: If Lego releases new colors, it would be easy to update the cards either by expanding them with a second plate or by replacing colors that you don’t use often with the new colors and keeping those that you rarely use on an extra plate that you store away. Lego could sell the parts you need to update your chart in the ‘Pick a Brick’ section. I have also considered the possibility that it might not be possible anymore to manufacture some of the older colors. If that is the case, my proposal would be to print a background as close as possible to the color it should be on white tiles and white bricks so you can still get a good idea of how it looks. You would then have the possibility to replace those printed bricks with already existing bricks of that color if you wish, which would be better than not having them at all. (But at the end of the day, Lego would decide which colors they want to include or not.) I know that only very few ideas have been approved by Lego lately, so if you can think of any improvement that you feel might give it a better chance of being approved by Lego, let me know. Hi everyone, My Midi-Scale TIE collection expands again with a new TIE starfighter: the TIE Striker from Rogue One. Made of 730 pieces, this TIE Striker features a fully SNOT surface, a smooth cockpit section, and includes blaster cannons below the cockpit. Design-wise, this ship really felt like a natural continuation of my previous TIE Reaper MOC. Although being almost Minifig-scaled, (hence the Midi-scale) this ship obviously doesn't have any interior due to the techniques used and small space allowed for the internal structure. Due to the front-heavy nature of the design, a rather long (but very simple) stand had to be made in order for the ship to remain perfectly steady and horizontal. The overall build is pleasantly sturdy for a display model and can be moved around easily. For this challenge, I decided to build Amalia and her favorite little brother, my main character Ásgeir Di Cioto, at a scale which we rarely see attempted in LEGO. It was a daunting endeavor, and one not to be entered upon lightly! I hope you like it, although I know it's flawed, and I welcome any advice or criticism :) . Ásgeir and Amalia Ásgeir Venerio Di Cioto The youngest child of a poor gentleman from the wasteland city of Ilesole, Ásgeir is a wild, impetuous boy, thoughtful and keen at times, but far too guided by his own rash impulses and his friends’ bad ways. Afraid of his father, fond of his sister, and condescending at best to his ailing brother, he is used to defying his father’s laws and bearing the consequences if he must, staying away from the house in spite of all his father has threatened and not daring to come back until is far into the night, hoping to sneak upstairs unnoticed although the darker it grows the angrier his father becomes. Ásgeir tries to “be good” as his sister entreats of him, but he cannot bear the poor and wretched hovel they live in and often slips unnoticed out from the upper floors where his father rarely comes. When he stumbles into a secret he never wanted to know, he pushes on with daring curiosity… never dreaming how far he would go for it in the end. Amalia Di Cioto Ásgeir’s only sister and the oldest child of the family, Amalia is a charming and strong-willed daughter and the only one who can stop her father in his wrath. She has always cared for Ásgeir since their mother died and loves him dearly, striving to bring him up in good ways, and willing to do anything in the world for him. Because her father dares not call a doctor, who would make them pay the last of all they have, she is left to tend her sick brother Horus almost night and day, while she waits and hopes that Ásgeir will come home safely. When she loses all of what she holds dearest she is driven to desperation and distrust, and perhaps in the end her own cleverness will be all that can save her heart’s treasure: and her own heart also. Hey peeps, I got the urge to improve my 8-wide vehicle builds again and was wondering if maybe I've been doing things the hard way all this time. How do you start your Speed Champions MOCs? Have you developed your own go-to techniques? Usually I don't use pre-built bases, I usually start with the tire/wheel assembly attached to some Technic bricks, then figure out the wheelbase (distance between the front and rear axles) and build around that. For this build though, I wanted to try using the traditional Speed Champions base. For example, I'm working on an modern Acura NSX, I know the life-size Countach has a 96 inch wheel base, and the NSX has about 103 inches, so I added a stud of length to the LEGO Countach's wheelbase. Once I work on the body I'll be able to tell if I need to adjust it to keep things in correct proportions. We've all seen how the official designers work miracles with this base, so I'm hoping I stumble onto one of my own lol Edit: After some tinkering, I def had to extend the wheelbase another stud.

I have a survey about LEGO cities around the world called the Big Brick City Survey, which I’d love as many LEGO fans to complete as possible; it should take 5 - 15 minutes to complete depending on how in-depth you like to be, and we’re offering a £100 / €100 / $100 LEGO prize for an entrant drawn at random (if you want to share your details - you can still complete the form without giving me those). Around the time of the Winter Solstice, many in Historica's cooler regions will decorate pine and fir trees with a star and various ornaments. Ayra and Kars (wearing a scarf knitted by Ayra's mother) plan to continue that tradition, with Ayra rearing up to top the tree with a star. No ladders needed - only balance (something Ayra is struggling with). Meanwhile, Gerard is savoring his mulled wine, and Cobold is trying his hand at a snowman, all while a rabbit bounds outs of the snow! What a year this was - I slapped this MOC together for Christmas. I know its a day late, but there are people around the world (including my relatives in Austria) who are celebrating St. Stephen's Day (Stephanitag) or Boxing Day. So it's technically not late! None of the characters had any major changes, except for Ayra. I really like how her winter attire turned out, especially with the fur collar and leg bindings. This has been a great year. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and I look forward to seeing what the New Year brings!

Hello Ferrari and Speed Champions fans, The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a limited production mid-engine sports car produced by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari, unveiled on 20 November 2021 for the 2023 model year. The design references to 1960s race cars, it is a modernization of the 330 P4, with the body work consisting distinguished low driver's seating position, raised front and rear wheel arches, and the Targa top design. I wanted to create a sleek model which is as accurate as possible in this small scale. I prefer the brick built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore only Ferrari logo and simple light gray head lights stickers are used. My intent was to keep the width-length-height ratio of the real car and this size makes it possible. The model contains lots of details: for example the emblematic front and hood grilles, the side and rear intakes, the side view mirrors etc... Maybe the most challenging one was the brick built narrow black and red lines on the front. I tried to fill every unnecessary gaps and therefore some tricky build techniques are used. On the pictures the red grills on the front are connected only by half studs. However, if you prefer more sturdy models, then full connection is usable too, it is a bit less accurate, but looks decent too. It is a very low build, an can roll well only on flat surfaces. The model has space for two minifigures. I suggest to use helmets, or small hairs, and the upper part of the seats have to be removed in this case. Didn’t know where to post this, but I wanted to know why Lego doesn’t build a Lego store in an area, my nearest Lego store is an hour and a half away in another state, anyone know why?

As an absolute fan of the original trilogy, I had to build more Empire ships in Midi-Scale. I decided to start with my favorite TIE model, the TIE Advanced. This 496-piece TIE Advanced features a fully SNOT and detailed surface. It also includes rear engine thrusters at the back of the cockpit dome. Most importantly, being able to design smooth but razor thin wings was the key to making this build look proportionate and realistic. The same applies for the rear section of the fuselage which, being only 1 tile-high, ended up looking just a thin as the original prop model. Logically, the ship scales well to my previous TIE Reaper - I'll keep exploring more of these in the same scale, and maybe one day have a whole fleet of Midi TIE ships! ► Instructions will be available at Rebrickable soon. Technic ans Scale models at Bricking Bavaria 2022

Hi everyone Last weekend the Bricking Bavaria 2022 took place in Fürth, Germany. LEGO builders from around Europe travelled to Fürth to show their models. This year large cranes, lang heavy load transporters and even a technic locomotive in scale 1:17 were shown. It was really inspiring to meet other builders and learn about their building techniques, concepts and how their model work. For all people who had not the possibility to come to BB22 I cut a video with as many models in action as possible. -
Hello! My entry for LEGO IDEAS/Dungeons and Dragons challenge. Wanted to build this kind of MOC for a really long time and finally competition motivated me to do that. Tried to connect two worlds - real one where players are sitting by the table and fantasy one where they go using their imagination and PRG system. Hope that you like it. ;) Team of brave adventurers has to stop Dark Wizard! Will they succeed in this mission? Will the troubadours sing songs in their honor? Will there be piece in the kingdom?
