  1. Hello All! I want to present one more funny creation. Fortunately it hasn't real prototype :) 6 RC functions: - AWD - Independent front and rear steering - propeller activation - independent left and right propeller management Video: Thanks for watching!
  2. Hi everyone! Here's some nice pictures of the RC units I took, because I couldn't find many whilst looking, especially the controller. Some questions I have about RC stuff are. Why can you not use a new servo from the Auxiliary power supply on the receiver unit? In terms of electronics whats going on? Is it possible to control 2 or more receivers with one transmitter (I'm pretty sure it is, like Sariel's Endurance racer) Can you run 3 or more RC motors from 1 receiver unit. Also one of my new motors is making a very concerning sound, which to me suggests there is no grease in the gears inside. Has anyone successfully taken apart the gear housing without damaging it? The little clips are really tough to move. Thank in advance!
  3. Hello everyone! I'm Proud to show my latest MOC. A 1932 Ford Hot Rod, black with red interior. Almost 7 months in the build! I'm very pleased with the results and achieved everything that I wanted to do. My goals were: Tudor style with removable bonnet revealing a detailed engine. Opening doors and boot (trunk) RC Realistic chassis and live axles all round Black Powered by 2 x XL motors, 1 x servo for steering and 1 x PF lights. I used duct tape to make the 5 spoke rims. Hope you enjoy the video! Any questions or comments are welcome. Here are some more pics.
  4. Good and warm morning everyone! Today I present you the last GBC Module that has left my hands, a Lego Ball Accelerator. Original name: Accelerator Module Number of pieces: 335 Bulilding Time: 5 hours (not counting the fail of the first version) Size: 16×32 studs Instructions available: YES Lets see a general overview of the module. The mechanism is relatively simple. A Lego PF M motor moves an axle. This axle is divided into two, one part goes to move the wheel, increasing the relationship between gears to go faster, while the other continues straight to the hopper, where a liftarm moves the balls so they don´t roll into a ball. In the first version the wheel was very loose and not all balls had the speed needed (Some even stayed on the ramp) with the result that it was not effective. In this version the wheel is secured to the floor, the baseplate, so that every ball (Or almost all) pass. The height is over 10 bricks, complying with the rules of the GBCs. The hopper is my typical 11×11 studs that you can find in the Ball Pump Module. Without further info, here you have the video. It includes a brief explanation of the module and the itself in action. Hope you like it! Finally, remind you that you can dwonload the instructions for this Lego GBC module here: http://www.hispalug.....0;attach=25818 Use them at your discreccion , but give feedback! Thanks to all who have made this creation possible, especially the GBCers Philip Verbeek for encouraging and Eran (LegoGBC) for their assistance with Sony Vegas! You can check YiharuaBlog Flickr photostream here for extra pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yiharuaf/ The article on my blog:http://yiharuablog.w...rator-module-2/
  5. Hello All!!! This is my Tunneler – full RC model of boring machine! It doesn’t look elegant, but it is really working! Functions: Manual: - Boring Head - Lights - Conveyer belt RC: - 2-channel moving (left and right tracks) - 3D boring head management (left-right, up-down and extension) - Pneumatic outriggers - Feeder angle changing 4200 parts 3 XL-motors, 10 M-motors It is easy to change boring heads. Direct drive with XL-motor – real power! Working outriggers Into tunnel Video:
  6. Hello all!!! I want to show my funny MOC - Tower Crane Mk II (the first Tower Crane is a history now :) It has four RC functions (four M-motors) and it is telescopic! Its normal height is 145 cm. But it can rise himself up to 210 cm! For the counterweight i used three battery boxes with batteries Video: Thanks for watching!!!
  7. All have a nice day!!! I want to tell you about my current project – 1 : 10 RC model of the SuperCar from “The Fast and The Furious 6”! Its total size – 52 x 22 x 9 cm. Weight – 1.5 kg. So, what do we have? First of all the the model is really fast due to two powerful Race Buggy motors and new V2 IR Receivers, and now I am working on the replacement of the rarity Buggy motors by new L-motors without speed loss. The main model’s feature is independent front and rear steering. This feature makes the car super-maneuverable! The model has AWD with three differential gears and full independent suspension. There are three sets of LEDs under safety cage arcs. Fake exhaust system: All features you can see here: Thanks for watching!
  8. As an example of one of my earliest efforts of large-scale Technic projects, I thought I'd share this here - my (now dismantled) Ferrari FF. After scrapping my 599 Ferrari a couple of years ago, I long pondered about what I should rebuild it into. That is, until I found out about arguably the most unusual Ferrari of them all... the FF. I loved it. So, I had to build it. Ferrari FF by Octav_spot, on Flickr I have to say, the cable Technic parts came in handy to emulate the FF's curvy shape... I just wish I had more of them. FF Profile 3 by Octav_spot, on Flickr Since, y'know - it looks kinda naked... FF Headlamps by Octav_spot, on Flickr I'd spent hours on the FF's front-end - so, as a result, it was my favorite part of the whole car - If I stared hard enough at it, I could almost look past the gaps in the fenders and see the FF's sloping LEDs... FF Profile 2 by Octav_spot, on Flickr All in all, I was fairly pleased with this MOC. It had all-wheel-drive (albeit, via two separate XL motors, one in front, one in back) and despite its size, it was relatively light. And even though the FF is all but gone now, it was enough to get me thinking about possibly trying my hand at the stunningly-beautiful 458 Italia... Anyway, Enjoy! :D
  9. The Ghost Racer

    Hello from Italy

Hello from Italy I'm a fan of lego, lego technic in particular. I love build trial trucks and rock crawlers, try to improve them and make them similar to the real models. I have a blog where there are many articles dedicated to my most beautiful creations..
  10. Hello everyone! I'm proud to show my latest MOC... THE REAPER This model is based on Tim Cameron's "Showtime" and other similar Rock crawlers. The chassis utilizes NXT motors geared down 3:1, and one servo for steering the front wheels only. The NXT motors are connected using adapters that allow connection to regular PF elements. This project started out as a "quick" experiment that soon got out of hand!!! I enjoyed trying out ways of joining liftarms and seeing what shapes I could get out of them. Things that I'm not too happy with are the shortness of the model, and now that I have found some better pics of Showtime I can see it should be 3-4 studs longer, and lower too. The seats were far more leaned back, but due to the rear motor needing more clearance I had to pull them forward making the cab a bit cramped. LOL As for performance, I was amazed, The Reaper will easily go up 45 degree plank of wood, that is quite smooth with no major tweaks. Turning isn't the best, but that is to be expected with no diffs; and I tried to tune it to a nice balance of turning and NON wheel tearing. This crawler has no gear grinding at all, and I am very happy with the new type 2 8t. also I rigged the PF lights to the steering so it kind of flashes when steered! Edit: The shocks were made from combining Unimog and old bike sets, just to keep it black. Weight is 1.320 KG. After I have made a video (prob next week, Wed) I will reuse and tweak this awesome chassis, and hopefully make something a little lower. Please feel free to comment, and ask any question's. If you would like a particular pic please ask soonish as I have the lights set up hahaha. Thanks for looking.
  11. Hi guys Maybe someone already noticed my new equipment in the heavy machinery post . This time I build a compact excavator from the producer Liebherr. I finished it a few weeks ago. Here is the original: And here is my Lego version: PF Features: 1M Motor crawler left 1M Motor crawler right 1M Motor rotation 1 XL Motor main boom 1L Motor front boom 1 M Motor bucket 1 M Motor tool function 1 1 Micromotor tool function 2 (rotation) 4 IR reciever 2 battery boxes And some pictures: In this picture you can see the "compact" aspect And finally some tools: More pictures you can find here : Flickr Brickshelf And here is the first video. actionvideos are coming soon. Hope you like it
  12. To get that "first person" point of view in your action videos, do you have ideas on how to mount your video camera or iPod using Lego Technic pieces? This thread is meant to capture those ideas. I know that Sariel likes to mount his video camera on his MOCs, and sometimes he tows a trailer. What are your ideas? Here are two: Method 1: Use Lego Technic to secure your iPod to "Equip your RC Vehicle with a Remote Video Connection" ( by where44444) -- "It started as a useful modification for my RC tank so it could actually be useful in air soft wars. When your out where everyone can see you so that you can see where your driving the tank kind of defeats the purpose. You can now control it from a safe distance and be an active participant in the game through a wireless video connection." Method 2: "LEGO TECHNIC GoPro Mount" ( by Kyle Martin): "In this GoPro mounting tips and tricks video I show how to make a LEGO TECHNIC GoPro Mount. This can be used to mount a GoPro to any LEGO creation. The mount is low profile and will not destroy any of your LEGO. There is another video coming that will show how to mount using just good old LEGO."
  13. Paul Boratko (a.k.a. Crowkillers) posted this of all of his MOCs shown at the Lego Kidsfest event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA last weekend: Here's a separate YouTube video of his Crowkillers Lego Technic 1:6 scale V8 Engine -- "I only had it running at 3 volts(I can run it at 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 , and 12)": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akxmRDA8R0Q He's auctioning off one of his custom creations in January 2013 for charity. For those not familiar with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, "...the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities." This will be Paul's second auction to benefit that organization. His previous auction got a winning bid of USD $1,626 (1,299 Euros)! In May, he explained in this post: "I got the pleasure of meeting a young man in Pittsburgh last year at a Kidsfest who had some problems and he was extremely thrilled to see my cars in person and had his father take his picture holding one of my cars... Turns out he was a fan of my work and had seen the models online... This was an eye opening experience for me realizing that through Lego that I had made a connection with this boy and right then and there I had decided that I should try and give back...." 14. WOW! If you have not seen "The Dunechaser" entry by Conchas (Fernando Correia), head over to this TechnicBRICKS article to learn all about it! SUPPORT IT in the 2012 Lego Technic Competition Gallery if you would like to see it in the FInals! Many pictures are in his Flickr photoset.
  15. To possibly aid The Lego Group's Technic Designers in selecting the "Top 10" Finalists for the 2012 Lego Technic Competition, here are the top vote-getters in the 7-part Eurobricks poll (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and Part 7). Since the images of the various entries might be taken offline in ~1 day (when the Competition ends at midnight on December 31, 2012 Central European Time), please select those entries below which you believe should be in TLG's "Top 10" Finals. Your selections will remain private. The results of this poll are non-binding, and only serve to (possibly) help TLG see which kinds of models AFOLs prefer. There were many excellent entries that complied with the Official Rules. Before you vote in this poll, there are factors to consider. As stated on this Competition webpage, "The Jury will select ten finalists from amongst all the submissions based on the following criteria: • Overall coolness • Inspired design details • Design that people will purchase • A great colour scheme • Buildable using existing LEGO Technic elements • Well thought out functions • The relationship between your age and your design" "We will do our very best to follow your design as closely as possible. However, we have to make sure that: • We can manufacture the colours you suggest • Others can build the final model and we can create easy to follow building instructions • Your design can be built using existing LEGO Technic elements • The final model is safe to play with • The frame and mechanics of the 4X4 Crawler, model no 9398, will support your design" "Between the first and the tenth of January 2013 the LEGO Technic Jury will select the Top 10 candidates that you can vote for online using your LEGO ID – your vote will go toward determining which of the Top 10 is to be produced and launched! The Top 10 candidates must accept to transfer all intellectual property rights as outlined below [see webpage]. The LEGO Group will contact the Top 10 candidates directly. Online voting opens on 09 February and closes on 22 February. The winning design will be announced on 22 February 2013. Our design team will work together with the competition winner to develop and build the winning version of the LEGO Technic 4x4 Crawler. The winning design will be produced in a limited edition of 20,000 and will be available online for pre-order from 1 July 2013 at http://shop.lego.com/ ." "Dates to remember • 31 December 2012 – Last chance to upload your design! • 9 January 2013 – Short List announced by the LEGO Technic Jury • 22 January 2013 – Last chance to vote for your favourite short-listed design! • 22 February 2013 – The winner is announced! • 22 March 2013 – Online Presentation of the completed 4x4 Crawler special build • 01 July 2013 – Pre-orders open! • 01 August 2013 – Official worldwide launch of the winning 4x4 Crawler design" * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getters from the Part 1 Poll) MarkusOSX's skull offroader -- http://technic.us.le...oldest&index=53 : hrontos' blue Sharkwler -- http://technic.us.le...oldest&index=75 : LandRoverTechnic's Land Rover -- http://technic.us.le...oldest&index=94 : Crazy_1993's black-and-white safari truck -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=147 : hrontos' green-and-yellow tractor -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=149 : hrontos' Quad Bike -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=172 : hrontos' great white shark -- http://technic.us.le...oldest&index=85 : efferman's black panel truck -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=107 : MarkusOSX's blue-and-white offroader -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=134 : VFracingteam's double-headed Dakar Monster Truck -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=146 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getters from the Part 2 Poll) efferman's Cobra snake offroader -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=253 : rm88's black offroader -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=298 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getter from the Part 3 Poll) idkwhoyouare's red Jeep -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=374 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getter from the Part 4 Poll) solic's Light Bluish Grey offroader with satellite dish on roof -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=481 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getters from the Part 5 Poll) idkwhoyouare's black offroader with black brush guard -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=498 : timtimgo87's orange offroader -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=533 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getters from the Part 6 Poll) rumpletump's yellow offroader -- http://technic.us.le...=latest&index=9 : FCorreia/ Conchas' blue Dunechaser -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=591 : technicsupercars' yellow Jeep -- http://technic.us.le...ldest&index=640 : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * (Top vote-getter from the Part 7 Poll) rm88's The Boss musclecar offroader -- http://technic.us.le...latest&index=71 :
  16. This is a Lego Vacuum engine I made. It is made of 100% Lego. Each cylinder is specially made of one common design and is connected both to the main Air block and the Frame. The Air block has a internal channel which air can flow through. The frame sets the proper 60 degree angle for all the cylinder. I have built a F4, V4, V8, W6, Y6, X8, and this 6-cylinder radial using the same cylinders pistons and valves just like the fake Lego car engine.
  17. There is less than 2-1/2 days are left in the 2012 Lego Technic Competition! Here is "Group 7" of compliant submissions, to join the previous polls in the Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, and Part 6 topics. He description of his MOC: "LEGO Technic Lattice Boom Crawler Crane Lattice boom crawler crane with 9 kg lift capacity made from LEGO Technic. max. lifting capacity 9 kg at 200 mm (25 studs) max. load moment 18 Nm Main boom 432 to 1152 mm (54 to 144 studs) Lattice jib 420 to 1120 mm (60 to 140 studs) Crane weight (base + superstructure) 2.7 kg Central ballast 1.8 kg Superstructure ballast 6.2 kg The superstructure is mounted to the base through a turntable powered by 1 small power functions electric motor enabling slewing under full load. The superstructure is equipped with 4 winches and 6.2 kg of counterweight. The base is equipped with 1.8 kg of ballast and crawlers powered by 2 small power functions electric motors enabling the crane to move with full load. The lattice boom consists of 2 to 5 sections (54 to 144 studs length) and is connected to an A-frame which is raised and lowered by 2 times 12 falls powered by 2 winches each with 1 large power functions electric motors. The hook is lifted with 2 times 12 falls powered by 2 winches each with large power functions electric motors. T he jib is raised and lowered by 1 winch with 1 small power functions electric motor (12 falls) and the jib hook is lifted with 8 falls powered by 1 winch with 1 small power functions electric motor. Non lego parts: 2 axial steel roller bearings are fitted to the turntable to allow slewing with max load moment. The crane will have similar load capacity without them but slewing will not be possible. 1 mm braided ropes are used on all winches."
