Hi everyone, 20 years ago were the Knights Kingdom sets in the store. I was happy at the time that a new Castle theme was in the stores. My mother said that the sets were too easy to build and we already had Castle sets. Looking back, the sets are not quite challenging. To celebrate the anniversary of the theme, let me show you my latest creation. Deep into the forest is the hideout of Cedric the Bull. The hideout is located under ground. John of Mayne is imprisoned and knows that Cedric the Bull and his gang will attack the castle of King Leo very soon. Gilbert the Bad is working on a new catapult. Cedric the Bull is monitoring the construction of the artillery. I don't know where I've read that Cedric the Bull had a hideout in the forest, but this was always in my mind. Hello to the forum. Below my first non digital Castle MOC I realized with LEGO. The MOC was built end of december 2019. It's nothing special but after some Star Wars and Space MOCs this was a nice change. Enjoy the pictures. Dear LEGO® railroaders, dear LEGO enthusiasts, dear model railroaders, We are LEGO train fans from Leipzig, Germany. From august 13th to 26th 2020 the BAUSPIELBAHN-TREFFEN (train meeting for LEGO fans) will take place for the second time in the "Old Tram Shed Schkeuditz": You can find a review of the first BSBT in June 2019 here (only in german, but with many pictures) (1000steine.de) here and here (video by bananenbuurman). Like in the previous year, the focus of the event is at the large collaborated train layout we want to build together with your modules and models. We want to build a railway line across the old tram depot in Schkeuditz. For the second time, we will creating a large railway landscape with a double-track high-speed route and some side tracks on over 600 square meters of hall space. If you want to be there this year, you have to register yourself ans your models until may 31th 2020 by send us a mail (see bottom of this article). Some hasty interested guys have already submitted their advance registration to us; we wil send you the planning sheets for the BSBT20 in a while. We absolutely need photos and informations of your models in order to plan the layout. example for "landscape with rails" by Pelle We are looking for: LEGO train and railroad fans who want to be part of a large collaboration train layout with your railway landscape model (free route, industry, level crossing, tunnel, bridge, train station or anything else). For this you should have built a MOC with a railway connection, ideally embedded in a landscape. This can be detailed as best, but it doesn't have to be. What should you ever get: For such a large system, we always need tracks and switches, whether 9V- or Power Functions, third party manufacturers or even self-made. Transformers (we need a lot of power feeds, maybe we uses block operations again...) If you want to bring a train model, please bring at least as many tracj as the model needs (standing model) or more (driving model) Extension cables (sockets are available, but only in the walls, not in the floor or in the middle of the train shed. And finally: We don't want to have more empty tracks as nessessary between all the great models. That's why we will be happy about everyone who wants to bring along an additional part of "landscape with rails" - whether straight route, curves, switches or similiar - using as railroad between stations and other models. In last year, we hat a six train stations and some other stuff, but only a few tracks with landscape to connect them :D It doesn't matter... ... whether you build in a system (MILS, LEN, ... ) - or not. ... whether you use LEGO or third-party or DIY rails. ... how long your landscape is (everything from a half up to many meters can be planned. ... whether your locomotives run with 9V, PowerFunctions / Powered Up or SBrick or Buwizz or something else. ...if yor models need or have a certein curve radius - just let us know. Whenever possible, we strive to take all factors into account. However, the entire system cannot be planned until all participants have registered. Therefore, please note the registration deadline until may 5th 2020! For registration, please send us a mail: The following is currently planned: Thursday, August 13th, 2020: Building day Friday, August 14th, 2020: Driving day without visitors. Testing some play features (shunting, train cards, or something else) Saturday, August 15th 2020: Visitors day I, Exhibition from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., maybe AFOL evening Sunday, Autust 16th 2020: Visitors day II / exhibitions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - dismantling Like 2019 this year it's also possible to sleep in your tent or camper on the site of the tram shedule. This scene made up part two of my entry for the From Field to Goblet category of the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. Credit for the swan design goes to Steven Erickson. See part 1. As the apples are picked, full barrels of the tasty fruit are carted back to the farm where they can be processed into cider. Both Eryl and Elise have a grand time seeing more of the fields and livestock as they escort the cart. Their dogs are also greatly intrigued by the various new animals to investigate, much to the amusement of their young farm boy friend. More pictures on Brickbuilt. Feedback always appreciated

Hi everyone, I build in many themes and this year I want to build a landscape based on the battle on Geonosis from Episode II. This is the first time I have build a Star Wars vehicle. Here is my medieval landscape from HUNLTC's recent exhibition in Budapest, Hungary. Only about 150 out of my 700 soldiers were present, but this time the emphasis was on landscaping. This 35-baseplate display is just the first step: I'm planning to expand it to 60 beseplates by next year. Inspiration & ideas for this came from a multitude of great builders here, among others Derfel Cadarn, Sirens-of-Titan, DNL, Mark of Falworth and Jojo. Thanks, guys!

This was part one of my 10th entry into the CCC XVI, for the From Field to Goblet category. This entry focused on the production of apple cider, so of course the first scene shows an orchard. When researching the process for making medieval cider (not much different than today’s process actually) I found it interesting that they often used long poles to whack the tree’s branches and cause any apples to fall to the ground where they could then be easily picked. So I included that in my rendition of a medieval apple harvest, as well as stone walls making terraces in the orchard. In the fall Eryl and Elise have a grand time helping with the apple harvest. Plenty of wildlife is always present around the fruit trees, and apple picking is one of the twin’s favorite harvest activities. Find more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

This was entry number nine for the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. The Great Wall category was one I liked a lot, and I quickly thought of building some of the fortified city of Carcassonne in France. While my model isn’t an exact replica of any section of the Carcassonne, I did base it mainly off of one of the gate areas, and every tower and wall setup was influenced by sections of the real thing. It is one of my biggest builds ever, weighing in at 35 pounds. Harburg isn't far from the famous fortified city of Crasonne. As such, Karsten has often visited Crasonne on various administrative matters. Today he is accompanied by Eryl, who hasn't seen the city since he was a small child. After a brief meeting with Mikill, lord of Crasonne, the Storrars are given a tour of Crasonne's defenses by a sergeant of the guard. Eryl has a hard time focusing on the details about tower placement, multiple gates, and stone construction that his father discusses with the sergeant. He can't help but feel tiny atop the massive stone walls, and there is plenty of interesting hustle and bustle on the city road. A group of knights are leaving Carcassonne after a tournament in the city, while various guards and peasants go about their business. Someday I'll compete in a tournament, Eryl thinks to himself upon seeing their brightly colored armor and mighty warhorses. One of the Crasonne guards takes advantage of their sergeant being distracted with the guests from Harburg. See plenty more images on Brickbuilt. This scene is my second entry into the Colossal Castle Contest XVI, for the Fantasy Siege Weapon category. I took inspiration for the landscape from the style of detailed model bases you often see for things like Lord of the Rings scenes. Mitgardian dwarves are masters of warfare, and their powerful ballistas are feared by all enemies. See more pictures on Brickbuilt. Once I figured out the ballistas, this scene came together quite quickly, and it was fun doing a larger landscape again. C&C welcome

Entry number four into the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. I built this house for another project, but figured I might as well enter it into the miscellaneous category. There is a full interior inside the house, accessed via lift off roof. I'll be using this build in a tutorial covering how to angle buildings on landscapes in the future - but it probably won't be posted until the CCC is done Many farmers have small homesteads in the tundra of Mitgardia. As we are close to Christmas, I wanted to present some photos of my Diorama Winter Village in the full 2018 version, never presented before. This landscape completed in 2016 is the result of 5 years of work. Each building from the smallest to the largest has been built with a continuous search for quality and study in the details of the interior furnishings. The diorama currently consists of 42 bases of 32x32 studs with 300 minifigs and over 62,000 pieces. I was fortunate to have been called to exhibit my complete work at the "Palacio de Gaviria" art museum, Madrid, Spain for a period of 3 months from 10 December 2018 to 24 February 2019. On my Flickr profile you can see some other photos as a whole and in the other Albums you can see the details of each individual building that make up the village. Hi all. This is my first post in this subforum. I'd like to share my first Ninjago themed MOC that I made late last year with you, a raid on a shrine (and defending it!). I have no idea what the plots of Ninjago are - I just used some of the figs I had acquired to make a little scene based on a variety of Asian inspired influences (like Ninjago itself really). I hadn't bought any Ninjago sets until a few years ago (the Temple of Airjitsu seduced me), and since then I've bought a few more sets - there have been a number of great sets released lately and I quite like the dragons and buildings. This MOC started from an attempt to build a roof using the "cheese" slopes - getting the centre roof section done took the longest part of the build! The rest of it flowed from there and it was an opportunity to use some of the exotic leaf colours I had acquired to see what they looked like in a MOC. This was built for the "Ninjago" monthly build theme for our LUG. Thanks for looking.

I built this model as a prize for the 16th Colossal Castle Contest, which just started recently. As the name implies, it is a model of Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. Since I had already built a scene named Rivendell, I used its alternate name this time. Unlike my last Rivendell build, I didn’t base this directly off any source material. After the freedom of Anakin from Tatooine, Qui gon Jinn and the young boy walked to the Queen's ship. Before reaching the ship, the landspeeder of an unknown appeared just behind Anakin. Darth Maul, a lord Sith attacked Qui Gon Jinn in aim of killing him. The duel on Tatooine began. ________________________ Hi everyone, this is just my second Moc based on Star Wars. It include the landspeeder of Darth Maul, darth Maul himself, the young Skywalker and Qui Gon Jinn I Hope you will like it. At the beginning, i wanted to build a huge landscape with a medium blue sky. However, i had to change a little bit the plan because I had not all the bricks. So, I decided to build this creation in the limit of my stock, and only my stock. A lot of things had to be cancelled with this limit. This was my build for the 6th and final round of the 2017 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. The category was ‘Switched Teams’; so someone who was a villein would now be a good guy, and a place like Rivendell would be evil, etc. I decided to do Minas Morgul, which is the fortress of the Witch King in the Lord of the Rings, so in my version the Witch King is now a noble leader with a valiant force of warriors guarding the splendid fortress. In order to make it look less scary/bad guy-ish, I opted for a white/grey colorscheme and changed the architecture to be slightly less pointy (though I did keep the buttresses and battlements rather spiky), while still keeping the same general layout. I’m quite pleased with the result, and although I didn’t plan on it getting quite this big, it’s now my heaviest build to date, weighing a smashing 31.2 pounds! There are also a few things you can try to find in this build, if you would like (though not many of them are very well hidden, I admit!): 4 frogs 1 bear 2 hedgehogs 1 bird in a birds nest 3 chickens 2 goats Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. My latest and so far my largest creation was The Rainbow Park. The name originates from the colorful flower beds by the fence, where I tried to use the petals in all the colors I had. As can be seen, some are more common than the others. The park sits on 12 (32x32 studs) baseplates in a 3 by 4 layout. It's fenced on two sides only, as the idea was that it extends beyond the city layout. Here's a view from the birds' perspective. When I started building it, I knew I wanted to make the paths more round than straight, which is a challenge with bricks. Since I didn't have enough curved tiles in LBG, I experimented with round tiles to get this look. Here you can also see the flower beds by the fence and the changing colors of the petals. Although I had many ideas about what to include in the park, the building of this project actually started with the fence. This was meant as a collaboration project with @MstrOfPppts, and the fence idea was his design. He also gave feedback on other details. I initially wanted the fence in a non-SNOT position, but the SNOTed fence (as he suggested) looks much better. These ornamental fences create an interesting pattern. The park offers activities for all generations, there's children playing with a ball, couples enjoying romantic picnic and boat ride, food vendors and elderly couples playing chess. One of my favourite details, also a bit hidden from a view (especially if not looking at the right angle), are the neatly trimmed bushes spelling the name of Slovenian LUG (Kocke Klub). My entry for the LEGO House Rebrick contest. Upon seeing the categories, I knew I wanted to create a landscape – the question was, what kind? After much deliberation, (and even a couple of failed starts), I decided on doing a serene winter forest. I tried to create a deep, fluffy feeling for the snow, which I think ended up working very well. The icy trees are something I’ve wanted to try for a while now too – let me know what you think of them! Credit for the idea of using light yellow in the path goes to Mark Erickson, and his Northward Bound build. My first model of 2018, this is based off of the watermill located in Riverwood from the game Skyrim. It is meant to be viewed from all sides, and has a completely irregular border. I took inspiration for the landscape colors from Wochenender and his incredible Jernsteein creation, while the water wheel was based off of Brick’s design. The trees are again taken from the tutorial by Chris. Finally getting around to posting this model here. This completes the small storyline I had started a while ago, as well as finally finishing Age of Mitgardia! Previous story installments: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. Dedan, Glorfindel, and a new man dressed in dark blue robes made their way to the watermill at Firoir. A few of the villagers were around, and were obviously curious about the three visitors. Some had heard of a confrontation between Glorfindel and their Lord Tuinis, and wondered what it meant for the Officer of Valholl to have returned. Firm steps could be heard upon the wooden walkway over the river as Lord Tuinis approached, flanked by three Mitgardian soldiers. And it was obvious from the guard's gleaming weapons and armor that they were not any of the local troops under Tuinis' command. As he neared the small group, it was clear to all that his rage was barely contained. "What is the meaning of this, Sir Glorfindel," blustered the man, placing sarcastic emphasis on the term sir. "Invading Firoir with armed troops is no small matter, and I will have you brought before the Valholl Council and banished from Mitgardia!" Glorfindel answered with just a hint of a smile, "That will not be possible, Tuinis." "Further insults! Let everyone here be witness to the fact that this man has not even had the decency to properly address a lord of Mitgardia." "Your status as lord has been revoked, and the Parliament has also removed your control of Firoir." This statement from Glorfindel was brought with a fleeting moment of terror on Tuinis' face, before his usual arrogance returned. "Lies!" He spat back, "You have merely brought some of your own lackey troops, and used armed force to take this town!" At this point the oldest of the three soldiers spoke up: "I am Captain Mattr, and can assure you that this was all done on behalf of the Valholl Council, I am not on any orders from Sir Glorfindel." "You will find all of the legal documents in order," said Dedan, as he extended a sealed letter towards the former lord. "Those papers also instate Vigr here as the new lord of Firoir," added Glorfindel, gesturing the man robed in blue. Tuinis had a nasty glint in his eye as he made his parting statement before the guards escorted him to the prisons of Valholl, "I can see your trickery was thorough, but be assured that you will not escape this debacle unharmed!" The villagers breathed slight sighs of relief at the man's departure, though they dared not hope their new lord was any better of a man. In time Vigr did gain their respect, and also that of the neighboring lord's who were only too happy to see their troublesome neighbor replaced. See more pictures on Brickbuilt C&C always welcome .

This was my fourth entry into the Colossal Castle Contest, for the Video Game Castle category. This model is based off of the watchtowers in Riften from the game Skyrim. The birch trees are versions of John’s tree design shown in our tree tutorial. I did include the stairs that make up most of the tower’s interior, though I wasn’t able to get a decent picture of them. Nordheim has various large watchtowers along the main roads leading to the city. Sir Glorfindel is on his way to visit the dwarves there, and bring them news from their kin in Hradcanny. My 2nd entry for the 15th Colossal Castle Contest, for the “Ye Old Switcheroo” category. I used a technique somewhat similar to my technic rockwork, but using plate modified with clip and handle instead of technic bricks for the cliff, and really like how it turned out. Getting a dragon’s egg is always a dangerous business. This Mitgardian adventurer thought switching an egg for a similar shaped rock would allow him to make an undetected swap. After a long climb up the cliff face to reach the dragon's nest, he finally seems to have achieved his objective. But will he really get away with the egg?
