    A Snowy Stroll

A vignette with just 99 elements for the RogueOlympics. Always good to build in Mitgardia again, and this time I even gave Glorfindel an outfit change Sir Glorfindel enjoying the frigid beauty of Mitgardian winter. Thanks for looking, feedback appreciated
  2. To those not familiar, chalk art is a kind of geoglyph cut into hillsides, mostly in England. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hill_figure I have been trying to make one to have in a MOC landscape. However, the mosaic technique looks too flat (For context, it is something I want to put into new Adventurer series of MOCs set within exploration of ruins closer to home ) but adding a few extra layers here and there looks too blocky or a mistake. I have been playing with SNOT techniques also but have dislike the end result more. Has anyone seen a MOC of this sort of thing before? I'd like to see how others achieved it. Any tips for it? Currently google is not bringing anything handy up and it seems to no be something people have made much, mostly a confused mix of the actual real landscape art and white LEGO horses.

    Life in Allanar Forest

One collab wasn’t enough, and we just managed to squeeze in a second build before Isaac returned to Denmark. It’s yet another scene set in our Alnya, and we returned to our roots by making it viewable from all sides, and even including a full interior! It fits on a 48×48 baseplate and is an entry in the Civilian Building category of the CCC. Extra credit to John for handling the last details and photography! Allanar Forest is home to one of the largest Dwelf communities in Alnya. Its beautiful trees, plentiful wildlife, and rich soil are a perfect match for the Dwelfs favorite pastimes of raising livestock, nurturing gardens, finding new uses for herbs, crafting beautiful cottages, and of course eating. See more images on Brickbuilt. Always feels good to post something new for the Guilds

    Landscape

My creation for the september Bricknerd contest "Cube your enthusiasm". Well, I didn't win but I enjoyed the contest and I'm not unhappy that I got out of the usual designs. Here is my landscape :)
  5. Hi everyone, On LOWLUG is a Castle contest from beginning of March till the end of April. There are 5 categories in this contest. Vignet Flora Battle/Duel Village life Headquarters I've build several MOC's for this contest. I'll share them in this topic. Vignet - Classic Castle This is the only Classic Castle minifig I have. It was suitable to use for a vignet. Vignet - Knights Kingdom II A young Vladek is at the small gate of the Black Fortress. Duel - Knights Kingdom This is the duel between Cedric the Bull and Princess Storm. Flora - Fantasy Just a small scene with more focus on plants and trees. For this build I used a Magenta baseplate. Inspiration for this build came from the album cover of a Melodic Death Metal band called Black Forest with the album Dream. Flora - Forestmen Of course I've had to build a Forestmen MOC for this contest. The Forestmen are in the forest for hunting. They have spotted a deer. Headquarters - Lion Knights Photo is a bit too bright. Sorry for that. Lion Knights are leaving the city. Some people are in the street getting the usual stuff. In the alley are a few spies of the Dragon Knights. For more pictures, please look into my Flickr Album. Feedback is appreciated.
  6. Hi everyone, This is a recent build of mine. After the adventure in the jungle and among the Ancient Amazon Ruins, Johnny Thunder and his friends made it back with the boat. Gabarros had left after Johnny paid him and the adventurers are loading the cars to travel back to the airport. Senor Palomar was killed by Achu and Rudo Villano had escaped with a raft on the river. Enraged by seeing the Adventurers after what happened in the Jungle, he stabs Harry Cane. Johnny Thunder is angered by this and grabs his sword and attacks Rudo. How will this end? Feedback and questions are appreciated.
  7. Hi everyone, This is my latest build: Ambush in the forest. The Lion Knights are marching home. In the forest the Lion Knights are ambushed by the Wolfpack Renegades. I wanted to experiment with different plants and trees. This was also the right scene to experiment with SNOT build rocks. Feedback is appreciated. More pictures are in my Flickr album.
  8. Hi everyone, This is my latest MOC: Battle of the old ruins of Lyon's Keep Another war between the Lion Knights and the Black Knights. This is the battle takes place in the ruins of Lyon's Keep. For more pictures please look into my Flickr album. Feedback is appreciated.

    Feeding the Flock

As usual, this young lad starts his day by feeding the family's flock of chickens. More photos on Brickbuilt, and there's even a timelapse on Youtube. Thanks for looking
  10. Hi everyone, A happy new year to you all. I want to show you my latest creation. This castle is the home of the Black Crows. The men are preparing to march through the lands. Some people are moving crates and barrels to the storage rooms. I wanted to use the Tournament Knights. This was a great excuse to do something with the new minifigures. For more pictures, please look into my Flickr album. Comments/feedback/questions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Folwin's Garden

After his hearty breakfast Folwin gets down to his daily gardening tasks. Today he’ll be delivering carrots, so he picks some fresh ones while his pet chicken follows along. More photos. Thanks for looking
  12. *Your entry has earned 3 XP* Mato's Tale: Chapter IV Their ship coasted through the atmosphere, breaking through the clouds into the world below. Farmland and rolling hills, covered in trees, stretched out below them. Shimmering blue lakes dotted the landscape. Mato, swelling with delight, launched himself from his chair and jabbed a finger at the view screen. He couldn’t hold it in. “Blue water! Finally!” he shouted. Yigs laughed. After requesting clearance, Yigs brought the freighter down to a landing pad near the seashore. She lowered the ramp and Mato steeled himself to go out. Yigs came up along side him and couldn't help but notice the Weequay's jitters. “You ready to see your new home?” Mato nodded, unconvincingly. What if the people of Wayland rejected him? He wasn't like them. He came from an evil life, and had done evil things. He wouldn’t blame them for running him off the planet as soon as he’d arrived. Yigs' face suddenly came into view, smiling kindly. She held out her cloak. “Here, wearing this has always made me feel better. Put that thing on.” Frowning, he took the earth-toned garment from her and tied it around his neck. He had to admit, the weight and drape of the thing did boost his confidence just the slightest. He took a deep breath and they departed the ship. A breeze blew across the landing pad, carrying the salt-scent of the ocean and the fragrances of flowers. Mato was so stunned by the smell that he stopped in his tracks and didn’t think to leave the ramp until Yigs urged him on. They passed droids and humans and non-humans working the small pad and then passed onto an unpaved road into a wooded vale. A Trandoshan and a Wookie spearfished in a nearby river. They cheered and waved when they caught sight of Yigs, while Mato stood a little ways back and watched. “Inseparable, those two,” she told him. “I’ve never seen a place where people genuinely like each other as much as on Wayland. Our leader, Ko-Yode (you’ll meet him soon) says that people in the Core Worlds despair because they’ve lost each other. They’re suspicious of their neighbors, estranged from their families, trying to get something from their friends. They try to dull the pain of not really having anyone. Out here, everyone found each other. Everyone lives for everyone else. There’s trust, and trustworthiness.” Mato understood. “It’s so . . . peaceful. Not like my homeworld at all. Is it all this . . . clean air?” “Well,” Yigs tilted her head. “It’s a lot of work, too.” They passed under wooded canopies accompanied by birdsong, crossed stone bridges, and walked besides patchwork fields and farmland where they were greeted by more colonists. There was nothing they saw at which Mato didn’t marvel. Except for when he was spooked by a butterfly, which Yigs thought was very funny. He could not have imagined a place like this existed from his pit on Nal Hutta. It was as different as could be. Wonderful, new, frightening. It made his life up until now seem like a distant, dark dream.

    [MOC] The Bear's Fortress

Hi everyone, At LowLUG was a member, who wanted to see more Castle at the forum and he wanted to build Castle. He started a contest on the forum. The rules were simple, build a Castle on a 32x32 baseplate. This fortress is located in the mountains. There is a small tunnel that leads to the tower. The knight known as 'the Bear' is preparing the men for an attack. Sorry for the background, I am looking for a replacement. For more pictures please look into my Flickr album. Sander
  17. Dear LEGO® railroaders, dear LEGO enthusiasts, dear model railroaders, We are LEGO train fans from Leipzig, Germany. From august 13th to 26th 2020 the BAUSPIELBAHN-TREFFEN (train meeting for LEGO fans) will take place for the second time in the "Old Tram Shed Schkeuditz": You can find a review of the first BSBT in June 2019 here (only in german, but with many pictures) (1000steine.de) here and here (video by bananenbuurman). Like in the previous year, the focus of the event is at the large collaborated train layout we want to build together with your modules and models. We want to build a railway line across the old tram depot in Schkeuditz. For the second time, we will creating a large railway landscape with a double-track high-speed route and some side tracks on over 600 square meters of hall space. If you want to be there this year, you have to register yourself ans your models until may 31th 2020 by send us a mail (see bottom of this article). Some hasty interested guys have already submitted their advance registration to us; we wil send you the planning sheets for the BSBT20 in a while. We absolutely need photos and informations of your models in order to plan the layout. example for "landscape with rails" by Pelle We are looking for: LEGO train and railroad fans who want to be part of a large collaboration train layout with your railway landscape model (free route, industry, level crossing, tunnel, bridge, train station or anything else). For this you should have built a MOC with a railway connection, ideally embedded in a landscape. This can be detailed as best, but it doesn't have to be. What should you ever get: For such a large system, we always need tracks and switches, whether 9V- or Power Functions, third party manufacturers or even self-made. Transformers (we need a lot of power feeds, maybe we uses block operations again...) If you want to bring a train model, please bring at least as many tracj as the model needs (standing model) or more (driving model) Extension cables (sockets are available, but only in the walls, not in the floor or in the middle of the train shed. And finally: We don't want to have more empty tracks as nessessary between all the great models. That's why we will be happy about everyone who wants to bring along an additional part of "landscape with rails" - whether straight route, curves, switches or similiar - using as railroad between stations and other models. In last year, we hat a six train stations and some other stuff, but only a few tracks with landscape to connect them :D It doesn't matter... ... whether you build in a system (MILS, LEN, ... ) - or not. ... whether you use LEGO or third-party or DIY rails. ... how long your landscape is (everything from a half up to many meters can be planned. ... whether your locomotives run with 9V, PowerFunctions / Powered Up or SBrick or Buwizz or something else. ...if yor models need or have a certein curve radius - just let us know. Whenever possible, we strive to take all factors into account. However, the entire system cannot be planned until all participants have registered. Therefore, please note the registration deadline until may 5th 2020! For registration, please send us a mail: The following is currently planned: Thursday, August 13th, 2020: Building day Friday, August 14th, 2020: Driving day without visitors. Testing some play features (shunting, train cards, or something else) Saturday, August 15th 2020: Visitors day I, Exhibition from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., maybe AFOL evening Sunday, Autust 16th 2020: Visitors day II / exhibitions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - dismantling Like 2019 this year it's also possible to sleep in your tent or camper on the site of the tram shedule. We can also assist you in choosing a pension or hotel. We're looking forward to a wonderful railway experience.

    [MOC] Medieval Watchtower

Hello to the forum. Below my first non digital Castle MOC I realized with LEGO. The MOC was built end of december 2019. It's nothing special but after some Star Wars and Space MOCs this was a nice change. Enjoy the pictures. 19. Hi everyone, 20 years ago were the Knights Kingdom sets in the store. I was happy at the time that a new Castle theme was in the stores. My mother said that the sets were too easy to build and we already had Castle sets. Looking back, the sets are not quite challenging. To celebrate the anniversary of the theme, let me show you my latest creation. Deep into the forest is the hideout of Cedric the Bull. The hideout is located under ground. John of Mayne is imprisoned and knows that Cedric the Bull and his gang will attack the castle of King Leo very soon. Gilbert the Bad is working on a new catapult. Cedric the Bull is monitoring the construction of the artillery. I don't know where I've read that Cedric the Bull had a hideout in the forest, but this was always in my mind. For more pictures, look into my Flickr album. Feedback is always appreciated.

    Loads of Apples

This scene made up part two of my entry for the From Field to Goblet category of the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. Credit for the swan design goes to Steven Erickson. See part 1. As the apples are picked, full barrels of the tasty fruit are carted back to the farm where they can be processed into cider. Both Eryl and Elise have a grand time seeing more of the fields and livestock as they escort the cart. Their dogs are also greatly intrigued by the various new animals to investigate, much to the amusement of their young farm boy friend. More pictures on Brickbuilt. Feedback always appreciated

    Apple Picking

This was part one of my 10th entry into the CCC XVI, for the From Field to Goblet category. This entry focused on the production of apple cider, so of course the first scene shows an orchard. When researching the process for making medieval cider (not much different than today’s process actually) I found it interesting that they often used long poles to whack the tree’s branches and cause any apples to fall to the ground where they could then be easily picked. So I included that in my rendition of a medieval apple harvest, as well as stone walls making terraces in the orchard. In the fall Eryl and Elise have a grand time helping with the apple harvest. Plenty of wildlife is always present around the fruit trees, and apple picking is one of the twin’s favorite harvest activities. Find more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
