My last minute, (only 4 hours left folks), entry to Simon's micro SciFi contest. I had wanted to enter it earlier but my first try was horrendous. I built this like ten days ago, but it wasn't until I found the right angle for all the buildings and got some help from 4estFeller, Gabe, and Sam that I was able to get it all done. I noted a couple of things incase you are confused at the piece usage. Enjoy and God Bless! -The giant mushroom is actually a watchtower. -The chain is big strands of barb wire. -The lid over the lake is an Evaporation cover.

  10. This is my first posting of my MOC. Tried to build a modular bank (modded from bank transfer set) and a train station(modded from 7997). Did some research on this forum and internet and madey bricks purchases to get started. As this is my first attempt to MOC a modular building, do feel free to give me your comments. Some simple photos taken using my camera phone. More photos link: http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0092009/photos/toys_hub/8437126617/ http://www.flickr.com/x/t/0097009/photos/toys_hub/8437128485/
  11. Hello everyone, It is a great honour to have this exclusive opportunity for me to review this upcoming most exciting new very own LEGO theme known as the Legends of Chima. Special thanks to TLG (The LEGO Group) and Eurobricks Staff for providing me a special chance to bring up this coverage for our Eurobricks Community as well as the entire LEGO Community. Without further ado, let me share with you on the latest insight of this brand new set. Name: 70003 Eris' Eagle Interceptor Theme: LEGO System / Legends Of Chima Year: 2013 Pieces: 348 Minifigs: 3 minifigures Price: USD $34.99, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD $59.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 70003 Eris' Eagle Interceptor Back view of the original box image of the 70003 Eris' Eagle Interceptor A closer look at the illustrated official action scenes More illustrated official action scenes Just by seeing the back of the box with the supporting images above, it shows us and touch on the different playability approaches that it is capable of doing such as the flapping of wings, opening of the rear storage area, dismantle of aircraft separation, flick missiles, etc. Every bit of it simply adds more fun through the playing mechanism. Can't wait to show all of you on what this set is fully capable of. The Eagle's Tribe first line of aerial defence Ah ha, the Eagle Interceptor and it is actually one of my favourite set for this current release of the first wave of products. It is certainly the pride of the Eagle's Tribe to demonstrate its aerial supremacy in the Chima universe. Little background information is given behind the Legends Of Chima theme at this moment and we only have this teaser from TLG to tease us further. In a nutshell, it will be a conflict between six tribes which is likely to compromise of three good (Eagles, Gorillas, Lions) and three bad (Crocodiles, Ravens, Wolves). It will be one of the biggest launch of LEGO own theme without the usage of Licensed themes to be part of their product range. I believe it will be a huge campaign, if not bigger than the LEGO Ninjago launch campaign since 2011. I think there might be a cartoon series similar to Ninjago which might involve this theme to tell a story through this approach. This method will be very effective for children to be able to associate these sets with better comparison with the story and the sets together. The content of the sealed box Within the sealed box, it comes with 3 mint numbered packages, a sticker sheet and an instruction manual to build up the set. After the building is completed, these are the remaining spare parts in packet 1, packet 2 and packet 3. The complete Legends Of Chima unique characters and tribes for the first wave At the centre of the instruction manual, you will find this very comprehensive listing of the new Legends of Chima minifigures. It states the names of each unique character which can be found in the proper set(s). I do believe that there will be more new characters that will be introduced after the first wave of release. Upcoming Legends Of Chima sets which will be released in the first wave I do believe these sets are merely the tip of the iceberg and more Legends Of Chima sets will follow in subsequent waves by expanding and integrating into other mentioned animal tribes. Creating more awareness and reaching out to LEGO fans The new engaging experience of Speedorz and the LEGO website of Chima that will feature many interactive games and content, fans will also find out more about this new theme. I haven't checked the video link provided by the instruction manual yet but I do believe it will provide some insight to this new LEGO theme. How should you begin building the set? A simple illustration to show how you should start building the sets with some friendly reminder to facilitate better building experience. In this method, it helps to speed the building process but it actually takes away the fun of searching for the correct elements for the required steps among the pile of mixed bricks and parts. I do know some of the builders enjoy searching for it. The building content of Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 After finished building the content of Packet 1, you will have the Eagle Interceptor's self-propelled cockpit, Raven's Glider and three minifigures in it. This pack is the highlight of what you are able to obtain for the minifigures assortment inclusive of weapons and the small aircraft designs. A closer look at the official characters' images at the box image The new Legends of Chima minifigures As seen above, these are the three beautifully designed Legends Of Chima minifigures in this set. From left, the first Raven minifigure is known as Razar, followed by the Eagle minifigure known as Eris and the last Raven minifigure is Rizzo. The minifigures are extremely detailed. All of the minifigures have back printing on the torso and the head. I am particularly fond of the heads' designs with the print of the beak and its appearance. Then, take a moment to admire the front of the minifigures too. Looking at the back view with the arch feathered armour on, you can see the magnificence of the spread of the wings. In this image, it shows a detailed view of the arch feathered wings which is the first of its kind. This is another image of a simple comparison of the minifigures with and without the attached armour. Building up the minifigure for each of the mentioned tribes involves a decent amount of parts to form either one. It requires two of the clips to hold the feathered wings together by attaching both clips at the back of the chi-armour where I believe the source of the energy of 'chi' comes from to sustain their power. The helmet itself is special and it is easily recognised to be in the form of a bird species. This is a close up image on the two Ravens baddies. The main weapons highlights Both of them are wielding some hi-tech energised 'chi' weapons, which take the form of a sword that looks pretty much a combination of both sword and lightsaber together, while the other one took the form of a golden double-axe. These are the essential building parts to build up these weapons and the sword base and the axe head in particular are new. The Raven's weapon blaster This is certainly one giant weapon blaster which requires some bricks to build; this dark looking weapon is capable of blowing something big similar to a bazooka. This is the side view of the Raven's weapon blaster. Razar's Raven Glider I understand there are a few gliders being featured for the Raven's tribe and the 70000 Razcal's glider is one of such examples. However, this Razar's Raven Glider is definitely very different from the rest and it is exclusive to this set. Seeing the sleek design of the black glider, the first impression that it gave me is the potential capability of being able to pursuit its prey in top speed due to the lightweight of the aerial frame and the ability to make tough manoeuvres together with its dual-charged powered lasers to shoot down the enemies. This is not a glider that can be taken lightly. Different view of the Raven's Glider Top and rear view of the Raven's Glider Off to pursuit the enemy Eagle Interceptor's self-propelled cockpit Doesn't this look very cool? It looks just exactly like an eagle head and it is very easy to identify. It is also similar to those kind of big eagle-looking sci-fi robots. This is actually similar like an escape pod but I do believe it has a much different and meaningful purpose since it is able to detach itself from the main aerial frame. It is able to self-propelled to either escape from the enemies pursuit by breaking apart or to disengage itself from the burning end of the aerial frame to ensure survivability of the pilot. It is really up to individual's imagination to decide the intended useful purpose of this cockpit. Different view of the Eagle Interceptor's self-propelled cockpit Eris is inside the self-propelled cockpit You are able to place Eris into the cockpit nicely by removing both feathered wings. Later in the review, you will notice the placement of the feathers. Trust me, you won't place the feathers loosely by tossing it at the back of the storage area. Evading enemies pursuit The building content of Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 After opening the second packet, I have actually completed the built of the eagle interceptor's tail wing and the main aerial frame which consists of the storage area, engine compartment and the fuselage. The entire built for the packet 2 largely comprises of mixture of different shades of blue including dark, medium and azure, along with some white bricks to complement. The usage of blue is easy to associate with the good faction. It is a pretty good colour to begin with. Different view of the Eagle Interceptor's main frame Opening up the rear storage area You are able to lift up the rear storage area hood with ease and you can also notice that there is a 'chi' crystal stored safely inside. I can't entirely be certain that it will be safe from the enemies' pursuit but it is definitely an obvious interest to them since I believe this 'chi' crystal is a source of power to their energy. This is merely a speculation on my part. I can't wait to find out what purpose do these crystals hold. Can you see the forming of the shape of the eagle? The building content of Packet 3 The completed built of the eagle's talons Now we are almost finishing the entire built with the last remaining packet. The last packet focuses mainly on the distinct built of the eagle's talons and feathered wings. You notice the talons are fixed together to support the legs with armoured shins at the front. However, please note that the talons are easy to drop off due to lack of grip at the hinges. The grip is not very strong since the talons are meant to be adjusted freely. Therefore, when you start to play with this set, please be careful not to leave behind any of the talons in your playing area. It can be quite frustrating if you lose any of the talons since it won't be able to support the Eagle Interceptor firmly on the ground. The rocket boosters are beneath the eagle's talons This is the bottom of the eagle's talons, and are you surprised to see these rocket boosters? Actually, I am even pleased to note that these rocket boosters parts are printed. These printed parts are very neat and nicely done. It adds realism to see how the talons engage the source of taking off of the Eagle Interceptor through these powered rocket boosters. The completed built of the eagle's wings The eagle feathered wings are spread out nicely with four winged feathers on each side. The one nearer to the missile is azure blue while the rest are made up of medium navy blue. The winged feathers are soft and able to bend gently. It comes with decent weapon arsenal which is attached to both wings including flick missiles capability. Eris is preparing the controls of the aircraft The Eagle Interceptor is awaiting for clearance to take off Opening up the rear storage area where the 'chi' crystal is safely kept away Please note the pair of white feathered wings in minifigure's scale on the side of Eagle Interceptor wings. Eris's wings are attached to the side of the feathers of the aircraft. Eris' Eagle Interceptor is on the correct plot of the journey Eagle Interceptor taking some different poses The Eagle Interceptor is incredibly amazing! It far exceeds my expectations and it looks really nice with its different poses. I can hardly believe that you are not only able to swoosh it around which I actually did, to re-ignite my playful childhood experience of swooshing aircraft around. This set rekindle such experience. Furthermore, it is very posable with the rotating wings, feathers and legs. Regardless of the Eagle Interceptor flying or being on the ground, it will look different depending on what you will choose to play with and that is a feature which I love the most. Different views of the Eagle Interceptor Enemies are closing in Without the main frame, I will continue to evade further To conclude, this set is totally amazing and the built is pretty simple and easy to follow. The experience is very engaging and it is fun to play with, even with the set on its own. It does not require other forms of integrations with other sets in order to bring out the playability. Instead, the features in this set allow a wide range of playability such as swooshing, posing and illustrating an aerial battle scene between the good and the bad. It comes with 3 extremely cool minifigures filled with tons of details that encompass from the top and bottom with the introduction of new minifigures accessories. Furthermore, this set provides a very good introductory sample on the new Legends Of Chima minifigures which also includes two rivalling tribes of the skies. All in all, I am loving this set and I applaud the TLG designer for doing such an excellent work to create this Eagle Interceptor. My only two complaints are the possibility of its high price tag since it is targeted at USD$39.99 and it will likely cost double in many parts of the world with the low parts per cost ratio and the loose grip of the talons which are attached to the robotic legs. Nonetheless, this is definitely an outstanding set, which I strongly recommend to any LEGO fans to start and see if you will enjoy this new theme. Summary review Playability: 10/10 (Very fun to swoosh them around with lots of interesting playing feature.) Design: 9/10 (Design of the entire set is very pleasing and sleek. You are able to recognise the form of an eagle instantly.) Price: 5/10 (The price is definitely on the high side with the low parts per cost ratio.) Overall: 8/10 (Despite of its high price tag, the entire set definitely gives you the fun playing experience.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr and My Brickshelf (When moderated)
  12. First of all, I'm so sorry for forgetting to name this "Future of SW contest: Revenge of the Ewoks" (small)". Will I have to redo the whole thing? or is there a way to edit it? D: Behold! The Endor Tree, filled with man eating Jedi Ewoks (They only eat Imperials). It just happens to be that Ewoks have a very high midichlorian count, and that all have potential to become Jedi. They have been trained in the Jedi arts by Luke Skywalker. Their first mission is to clean (eat) the remaining Imperial Storm and Scout Troopers off of Endor... (The MOC is 2 studs less than the maximum size limit for the small entry) Luke Skywalker and the Ewoks....hungry of course YUMMAY DINNER!! ^ Front of the tree house :) Right Side of the house, the storm trooper helmet is a BUTTON for something ;) Back side The top balcony with catapults YUMMYYY YUMMYY YUMMY I GOT A RUMBLE IN MY TUMMY!! Inside The helmet button is a light (fireplace) for the Ewok House :D Nom nom nom Ewok: "Hi :3 nom nom " Good Night little Ewoks Guys, the Ewoks are hungry again, especially the one in the back PARTY AT MY HOUSE!! :D
  13. Hello! I am James, and I have been hanging around for well over 5 years now. Now, I have finally joined the forums. For a little over year I have been taking photos of Minifigs and Lego under the LegoGenre name. You too can check out these photos on Twitter (https://twitter.com/readblood), Instagram (http://instagram.com/readblood), and a few on Flickr. Feel free to let me know what you think. I hope to start making more elaborate MOCs as my collection is finally at a point that can support such a hobby! I think I can remember to not pluralize Lego…
  14. I have noticed that people have often wanted to alter their minifigures but have had no clue as to how ( me included ). You may have seen my Red Skull thread which I eventually got a resolution from the kindness of Hammerstein NWC's heart. So, I thought to myself, why start a new thread every time someone needs help with one minifigure hence my thread. Now, I'm kind of in Superhero-frenzy mode at the mo what with my B-Day and Xmas just past in which I received many of the new Superhero sets and I'm desperate to add to my collection so to start off this thread, I will make some suggestions which my help my, and hopefully others, superhero collection. NOTE: Before I begin, I want to assure people that this thread is not for my personal gain or so that I can nick everyone's superhero ideas. It is designed so that if ANYONE is stuck with a fig, they can ask for a solution and hopefully someone will give them an answer. I would be happy to help anyone who I can but in no way feel obliged to let others 'steal' your ideas, I just thought it would be a nice thing to do. NOTE 2: If this thread gets decent critical response, I may start up other themed threads but this is just a prototype, as such. On with the ideas: The Riddler's Cane: Now when the Funhouse set was released, I recall many were disappointed that LEGO could go so cheapskate with us and not supply Riddler with a good cane and instead, give us the common red crowbar relating to nothing and almost spoiling the figure. I am in aid of the classic gold cane the Riddler should carry and already have the start of something (possibly) brilliant, which involves a gold hook. The Penguin: Unfortunately (for me), the old penguin is too expensive for anyone me and the new one is somewhat j u n i o r i s e d so I am looking for an alternative. I think I'll use the Magician's suit along with short purple legs and hands and a top hat but the head is a real problem and that's where the help comes in... So again, my suggestions were just to get the ball rolling so if anybody else needs help with a figure, don't hesitate to whack it on here. Thanks a lot, TT
  15. Christmas came early this year for me as I was selected to review a few upcoming Hobbit set. According to my latest LEGO magazine these are available for purchase Nov. 27th, so here is an early preview. BASIC INFORMATION: Set Name: Attack of the Wargs Set Number: 79002 Pieces: 400 Minifigs: 5 + 2 animals Price: $49.99 USD, $59.99 CAD Theme: The Hobbit Year Released: 2012 RESOURCES: (high res pics available here) THE REVIEW: The Box Front: LEGO has a way of showing absolutely every feature of their sets in one picture. I don't know how they do it. I love LEGO box art so much that I have saved every LEGO box I've ever bought since coming back to LEGO in adulthood. This one does not disappoint I love how TLG is able to show all the features in action, like the fire being thrown from the trees and the small catapult. This is a good box! Back: Again what more can I say than look at the beautiful pictures that show every fun aspect of this set. The flick fire bombs, the catapult, the Wargs. I also like something i don't recall seeing before, and that is a section on the back showing just the weapons. I decided to do this in my review as well because I thought the weapon selection was worth it's own shot, apparently TLG did to. Side: The side of the box actually has a lot of empty space. there is the standard box with a "to scale" minifigure and that's about it. No worries though as the front and back of the box make up for it ten fold. Instructions: Per standard operating procedure, the image on the front of the instructions is the same as the front of the box. A great scene worth being repeated. instead of the usual random page of the instructions I'll show you something I absolutely love. Figures page: At the end of the instruction manual is this spread of all the minifigures in the what I assume is the first run of Hobbit sets. There is a little box for you to check off when you have one and they have gone as far as listing the set number that the figure comes in. Awesome! Instructions Preview page: As if the last page wasn't enough, you also get a nice preview of some of the larger sets in the Hobbit line. Both of these have quickly made my short list. Remember there are high res pictures at my flickr account. Instruction Preview page 2: Minifigures Front: From left to right we have Bifur the Dwarf, Thorin Oakshield, Hunter Orc, Yazneg, and another Hunter Orc. As in my other review, I'm not a big fan of the small legs, but they are necessary to get the size of the Dwarf just right. The torsos could easily be used in other historic themes, such as the Lord of the Rings, of Pirates of the Caribbean. Back: There is back printing on all figures, I removed most headpieces to show the printing on the back of the heads, or the other faces on the Dwarfs. I like Yazneg's chest piece, it reminds me of something you'd see on a prison guard in some old beat up prison. Bilfur with no beard and back printing: Per the special request I have taken a picture of Bilfur without his beard and in the process reminded myself I left out his back printing. Weapons: The weapons selection is pretty standard for a Historic theme. We get one of the newer style spears with the printed end. One of the large swords that was made popular in the Prince of Persia line, and some standard issue axes, a sword and bow. I don't mean to downplay the pieces as they fit the set perfectly, but there is nothing here we haven't seen before. The Wargs Front: Here is my favorite picture form this review. The new wolves which are known as Wargs. You get one of each color, white and grey. The white one looks much more sinister with the coloring around the eyes. The mouths open and close, there is a double dot system that allows the mouth to either remain closed or open. (see below) Mouth Hinge: You can see the large indentation which is for the main hinge, but above it there are 2 very small indentations and these click when you open or close the mouth. I think it's a nice feature as the mouth stays in the position you put it in, unless of course you want the mouth half closed. Side view: The legs do not move, and they have the double stud just like a horse does and the saddles fit them just like a horse. The set does come with color matched bricks to fill in the Warg if you don't want to have the saddle on. Pieces: Bag 1 Parts bag 1 contains most of the minifigures, some nice trans orange studs, some flames, and the pieces to construct the rock form that the Warg can howl on. Bag 1 build 1: The first structure you build is the base for the rock form. There is a small bone and skull from some poor soul who probably crossed a Warg. A nice mixture of light grey and dark grey. Bag 1 Build 2: We now snap on the actual perch that the Warg can attach to. With the Wargs having non-movable legs this is a nice place for the animal to be perched. Bag 1 Build 2: Next we snap on the small catapult. There are 2, 1 stud round bricks that act as projectiles. I will show how the catapult works later, but ti's very basic. Load up the catapult and press down on the opposite side. Bag 1 Build 4: Next you build two small fires which confused me for a moment when building. I assumed they were meant to be projectiles used in the catapult. It turns out they are just there as fire. Personally I think they'd make great fire bombs, and they do fit in the catapults holder. Catapult Operation: By placing one of the round bricks in the catapult and pressing down, the projectile will fly into the tree we will build later and presumably start a fire. Pieces Bag 2: This will be the last bag picture because I managed to forget to take a picture of the parts in bag 3. The pieces in bag 3 are similar to bag one as they only extend the height of the tree. Bag 2 build 1: Here we have the base of the tree. The center of the tree is on a turntable brick. The base starts pretty small, but the tree grows. Bag 2 Build 2: Layer two of the tree starts to branch out literally and like the layer below it, the center piece is on a turntable brick, Bag 2 build 3: The 3rd layer of the tree is shown here. If you can spot the forward facing stud, then you've found a flick fire feature of this tree. I'll go over this later. Bag 2 Build 4: Now the 3rd layer has been added and the tree is starting to take shape. The forward facing stud is more noticeable. I must say the leaf color combination looks great. Bag 3 Build 1: Unfortunately I don't have the parts picture of bag 3 but it is basically the same as bag 2, brown and green tree pieces. The 4th and final layer is shown and this also has a flick fire feature, you can spot it by the red technic brick holding the pin. Final Tree: With the 4th layer on top, the tree is now complete and looks great. It really reminds me of some of the great MOC tree's I see all over Eurobricks. The 1st and second levels can swivel on the turntable pieces, but the rotation is limited, so it's almost a moot point, at least when you have the minifigures in the tree. Complete Set: We now have the full set in all it's glory. It doesn't look like much, but the tree is actually pretty large. I was pleased with the size of this set in total. In this picture the tree is straight and the small fire pieces are placed strategically on the tree. The top left blue flame and lower right orange flame are in front of the flick fire pins so you can launch a fire bomb on any incoming Orcs. Complete Set alternate view: In this view, I have slightly moved the middle section of the tree as you can see by the now crooked brick and the flick fire fire bombs have been launched onto one of the Orcs. You can see the two flick fire pins clearly now. Totals: Design: 9/10 I really liked the design of this set. The Wargs are just fantastic and I like the large tree structure you get. I often am amazed at the foliage creations I see in custom MOC's and this tree reminds me of some of those creations. TLG really did a good job designing this tree. The rock formation basically serves the purpose of a perch for the Warg and that's about it. For the price point this set is at, I think a base plate would have really solidified this set and is within reason for this set, unlike my request on the 79001 set. Overall just judging design, I think this set was designed well. Parts: 8/10 I ranked the parts an 8 because I feel that for the money it seems like you should have gotten just a little bit more. Licensed sets usually do carry a higher price tag which is understandable with licensing fees and all. I'm a sucker for trans pieces so TLG won me over there. I have also been building up a collection of greens and browns since they are so useful in any MOC depicting the outdoors. I like the parts in this set but your mileage may vary. Build: 9/10 I usually factor in the difficulty of the build and how well a set is actually constructed. There was nothing difficult about this build yet I appreciate the rotating center of the tree, even though it does't turn that much. The rock piece is more of a piece to just look at but I like that they included something for the new Warg animals. The tree leaves do make this tree a little fragile but if you're careful the set will stay in tack. Minifigs: 9/10 The minifigs in this set are great. They look good, they have nice printing and you get 5 plus the two Wargs. The Wargs alone make this set a desirable one. I'd suspect these guys will fetch a premium until they are released in more sets. The minifigures are equipped nicely with a range of weapons and you get a good mix of good guys and bad guys. The beard piece on Bifur is similar to Hagrid's hairpiece but it's slightly different and I believe it is a new mold. Overall the figures really make this set worth it. Playability: 8/10 I love the playability features that TLG always manage to fit into their sets even in the smaller ones or odd shaped ones like the tree for example. If you take the minifigures out of the way the tree can rotate all the way around although I'm not sure why it rotates, I'm guessing the movie might clear that up. As much as flick fire type items have their lovers and haters, I really like these ones because you can attach the flame pieces to the tree so they don't fall out until you actuate the flick. I think a base plate would make this set a 10/10, but that's just my personal wish that LEGO would bring back the base plate in numbers. Overall it fits in well with the Lord of the Rings sets and other Hobbit sets, it would actually go very well with 79001. Escape from Mirkwood Spiders Price: 8/10 Granted I received this set as a review unit and I'm ever grateful to TLG for being so generous, the retail price on this set seems just a little high. In terms of piece per dollar, it's pretty spot on with any other licensed theme. I think since there isn't a vehicle or something besides the tree, it seems like it may be lacking. When there are a lot of small pieces, the set sometimes looks smaller than it is. The minifigures really do help justify the price though. Total: 51/60 At 85% this is a good score. Regardless of any minor gripes I may have, the set is great. I love the tree and how big it turns out to be. The minifigures and Wargs and the main reason to pick this set up. As of right now this is the only set that contains the Wargs and they are awesome. At 400 pieces the price is actually right on, but there are a lot of smaller pieces so it may seam misleading. This set fits right in line with the Lord of the Rings sets and if it wasn't for the Hobbit on the box and the unfamiliar characters, you'd think it was. As for the big question, should you buy it or not. I'd say if you like the series then yes. If you are on the fence then the minifigures may be the dealbreaker, as none of the parts are super rare or in any extra ordinary colors. The Hobbit line is looking to be as good as the previous Lord of the Rings sets and i look forward to seeing the rest of the first wave sets as well as future waves. Thanks for reading.

    Kooberz from USA!

Hello fellow AFOL's! My name is Alex Kobbs (aka. Kooberz) and I'm the creator of Kooberz Studios. I have made a career out of brickfilming for a while now, and I usually concentrate on the combination of video games and our favorite bricks. My goal is to entertain with the power of animation, while simultaneously teaching new-comers about what I do and raising the bar of brickfilming to a higher/artistic standard. (that sounds a bit pretentious when I read it back, but I just want to do my best and reach as many people as possible) I was featured in this on Lego Art not too long ago, and it basicly covers everything I do.One of the highlights of my career was opening the 2012 DICE awards with a last Feb...with a custom music track by THE Glen Ballard of musical fame.I hope you enjoy what I do! Please consider subscribing to the Kooberz Studios channel as I put all my work on there. I will humbly try to add more value to the AFOL community and help promote this fantastic hobby of ours. I'm also eager to learn and connect with more fans around the world. Happy Building! -Kooberz-

    Winter Village: Tavern

I present to you my entry for: Expand the Winter Village Contest III The Winter Village Tavern! (I apologize for the image quality) I don't have any of the winter village sets (all the more reason I'd love to win one! ) so I had to look them up online to get a feel for their look. I loved the way the Cottage was designed and decided to model mine after that! Here's some more shots The inside! The side! Where do the kids go while their parents are in the pub? Outside, where they have snowball fights, of course! Full set: flickr page with all of the pictures (much better quality): http://www.flickr.com/photos/70459923@N05/ I hope you enjoyed this! Thanks for looking Good luck to the other contestants! Why did only the last picture load? Sorry guys...

  22. Jovel recently wrote to me and asked: "I am big Technic fan. I love sets with lots of functions and all those kind of things. Of course, I also love Power Functions parts and especially Lego Mindstorms motors. But my main problem with Mindstorms is, it's too expensive (at least for what you get) -- only a few motors and some Liftarms, axles, and pins which I already own more than enough. So, I definitely won't buy two Mindstorms sets just for the NXT motors and sensors. "So I was wondering if I am the only one with this opinion; I think there are more! Are there more "normal Technic builders" that would buy Mindstorms if it were less expensive?" Please add your thoughts and comments below.
  23. Hi guys just wondering if anyone would be buying my old spiderman movies sets, they are: The Origins. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/4851_The_Origins I would want at least £50 for this. Doc Ock's fusion lab. http://lego.wikia.co...ck's_Fusion_Lab I would want at least £50 for this. Doc Ock's bank robbery. http://lego.wikia.co...'s_Bank_Robbery I would want at least £40 for this. Tell me if you are interested as I might put them up on eBay or bricklink, but I won't if no one is interested.

    MOC: Lego Starry Night

The Starry Night (Dutch: De sterrennacht) is a painting by the Dutch post-impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. The painting depicts the view outside his sanitarium room window at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (located in southern France) at night, although it was painted from memory during the day. It has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, part of the Lillie P. Bliss Bequest, since 1941. The painting is among Van Gogh's most well known works. In September 1888, before his December breakdown that resulted in his hospitalisation in Arles, he painted Starry Night Over the Rhone. Van Gogh wrote about this painting "... it does me good to do what’s difficult. That doesn’t stop me having a tremendous need for, shall I say the word – for religion – so I go outside at night to paint the stars.'" In mid-September 1889, following a heavy crisis which lasted from mid-July to the last days of August, he thought to include Starry Night in the next batch of works to be sent to his brother, Theo, in Paris. In order to reduce the shipping costs, he withheld three of the studies, including Starry Night. These three went to Paris with the shipment that followed. When Theo did not immediately report its arrival, Vincent inquired again and finally received Theo's commentary on his recent work From wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Starry_Night It is my goal to make this mosaic @ my home XD I got the difficult to collect the plates, but it was ready within 6 months at last Only finish 25% in the slow processing , but I enjoy the "bricking" I try to stick it but it seems it was failed. My wife join together to complete this work, it is our happy moment~ At last , we sticked it into the wood plate. Make the own frames Wow , it is completed. The paintings of Vincent Van Gogh set to Don McLean's "Starry Starry Night". Starry, starry night. Paint your palette blue and grey, Look out on a summer's day, With eyes that know the darkness in my soul. Shadows on the hills, Sketch the trees and the daffodils, Catch the breeze and the winter chills, In colors on the snowy linen land. But I can simulate it only by lego, it is quite different between the original one. And it is joined in the Brick adventure 2012 Hong Kong Please come visit my site if you free feel :] lego.alanstudio.hk http://www.flickr.com/photos/alanboar Thank you! Alan
