  2. The topic is updated with detailed review: Hi! I’m glad to show you my new MOC made for Lego and Volvo contest. The task was “Build construction equipment of the future”. My little pet was designed special for Mars developing. Artificial intelligence allows this machine to perform different operations simultaneously. This monster replaces excavator, loader, tunneler, dozer. It can be used for road construction, tunnel boring, preparation of construction sites and many other tasks. All-around lighting system and cameras form 3D vision of the surrounding scene in a wide electromagnetic spectrum. Because of low solar irradiance on Mars the machine is powered by a compact nuclear reactor. Model features: 100 x 36 x 45 cm, weight - 7.4 kg. The model contains 16 motors. 1. Chassis - All-track drive (4x XL-motor) - Independent steering for crab mode up to 90 degrees and zero turning radius (4x M-motor) - Central pylon has an automatic leveling system. The tilt sensor is the weight on a pendant. If lengthwise tilt occurs the weight turns the motor on (buggy motor, I just have no wires for PF motors). The motor is interfaced with four linear actuators which level the superstructure - Central pylon has two co-axial independent turntables for different equipment 2. Loader - 360 degrees rotation (M-motor) - Boom lifting mechanism (L-motor) - Boom extension with synchronized counterweight movement (mechanical binding, M-motor) - Bucket loading and unloading (M-motor) 3. Tunneler - 360 degrees rotation (M-motor) - Boom tilting mechanism (L-motor) - Drilling head has five types of movement (XL-motor). The central part rotates fast in forward direction, the second part – in opposite direction, the third part – slowly in forward direction, eight additional cutters rotate in perpendicular plane. In addition, the whole drilling head unit moves in a reciprocating manner like a puncher - Because of absence of liquid water on Mars I suggest to use a huge vacuum cleaner to remove dust from drilling (you can see six working propellers near the drilling head) All the functions have remote control except for the leveling system – it operates automatically.   4. This Lego tripod Is really useful if you want to make smooth clips, avoid shaky videos and even when you have to capture some really fast movements. It is compatible with most of the common phones because of its elastic phone holder. You should also use this LEGO tripod when you want to make a good timelapse because it stays stuck in the position, you need, because of the pneumatic piston placed opposite the handle.   5. I built this dump truck, because I have an excavator and the LEGO bucket wheel excavator, and I just needed a truck to have the complete construction side vehicle park. This truck has 3 axles, one in front and two rear. It has one xl motor to keep the truck going forward, one L motor to power the bed lift cylinder and a servo motor to steer. Its powered by Sbrick because it needs to have more than one speed to operate with the truck, otherwise, it would be so hard to operate the truck at small places.   9. Been a Lego fan since my younger days. I have a background in Industrial Design, worked in lighting and the commercial furniture industry for about 15 years. Purchased Lego Architecture Studio 4 years ago, while on holiday in New York. A lot of sets don't make their way downunder to New Zealand. Expanded the 'white bricks' with the help of a local Bricklink seller, enjoyed constructing a variety of architectural buildings. I have had a renewed interest in Lego Technic sets since my 7 year old daughter showed an interest in a Lego Technic Excavator 42006 that I had sitting in a bookcase. So we purchased and jointly built the Claas Xerion Tractor 42054, she enjoys seeing the mechanical side of builds come together. We have since brought the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, built it in it's standard form. Then went all out with modifications, the first being a right-hand conversion (we drive on the left-hand side of the road in New Zealand). Earlier in the year the Mack Anthem was added to the collection and we have just ordered the Bugatti Chiron, due in New Zealand in August at NZD$649.99! Looking forward to building another big car and following some of the modifications on Eurobricks. Cheers.

  12. Hello! I would like to share with you my new work. GAZ "Tiger" (GAZ-233036 or SPM-2). It's russian 4x4, multipurpose, all-terrain infantry mobility vehicle manufactured by GAZ, first delivered to the Russian Army in 2006. Primarily used by the Russian Federation's armed forces. Specifications: Four-wheel drive Independent suspension Open all doors, hood and sunroof The steering wheel in the car is synchronized with the steering Row 6-cylinder engine 4 L Motors for Motion Servo motor for power steering M motor to winch drive Power and control implemented by BuWizz 1.0 Weight - 2.3 kg Length - 50 cm Width - 20 cm Height - 20 cm Description: The model is executed on a scale of 1:11. The project was started in the middle of 2016, but it can be considered completed only now. The model is based on the GAZ-233036 armored vehicle, GAZ Tiger or SPM-2 (special police machine), which can be found in the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular in the OMON. In the process of construction, the main question was how to force a model that weighs more than 2 kg to go and not crawl like the Lego trial trucks, and indeed most large models weighing more than 1,500 kg. To the aid came BuWizz, the power of which was enough to allow the Tiger to move with the speed of SUVs from the Lego of medium size, while overcoming small obstacles and not adding weight (hello to the big Lego battery packs). Each axis is driven by separate pairs of L motors with a gear ratio of 2.8 through the open differentials in front and rear. For the steering is responsible servo motor, running synchronously with the steering wheel in the cabin. In the front bumper there is a winch, powered by an M motor.   13. Hey Guys, Here's my latest GBC module D.R.O.P (dark red olive pusher). It's not the most exciting module, nor did I do the original engineering of the mechanics. I did however choose the colours and changed up the original design so that this is a bit more sleek looking. It's kind of slow, and somewhat unexciting, but I did manage to hook it up to a shared power system (later in the video) which runs 3 modules off 1 M motor with a simple axle chain using universal joints. Its reliable up to around 22 balls, any more and the arm may not be able to get underneath the balls to sweep them out. Having said that it *should* be able to clear the 1BPS rate of the GBC standard. I'm planning on running this at BrickCan next week and if the module does seem a bit slow I will regear it from 8-40 to 24-40 at the lift-arm.

  15. Hello, this is the first GBC that I have ever made. It just has a shooter, which shoots the balls about 10cm high and 7cm far and a basket where the balls should go in. Its powered by the L motor, it has one battery box. It can´t be powered manually because the panels which stretch the shooter need the same speed all the time. Otherwise, the shooter will shoot the balls with different power.
  16. Until now I had a big problem with taking videos, where I can´t hold the camera (iPhone 6s) in my hands and I have to support the iPhone by some lego wheels or a bottle. It was horrible. But today I have finished with my LEGO iPhone stand, so I can take much better clips much faster.
  17. Hello everyone It’s good to have some spare time but better that sitting on the couch is to present one of my last MOCs – Front Loaded Garbage Truck. The truck was made almost three months ago (but I done it from scratch in 8 days!) for our local LUG contest. The goal was to made something up to 2000 pieces and maximum of 4 engines. I thought that front loaded garbage truck could be a nice playable model and I haven’t seen much of them made from Lego. The truck of course fit to rules so it has a four remote functions like: - driving and steering - lifting arms - moving front forks In addition to electric functions there are two pneumatic (with manual pump) – dumping the whole body and opening tailgate. If you want more accurate specification: Weight: 1700g Dimensions: 19 studs wide, 22 studs high, 53 studs long (15.2x17.6x42.4cm) Parts: almost 1900 The truck is designed to emptying big waste bins. Whole process don’t take much time. Lifting functions are motorized so you don’t have to even touch a truck to dump wastes into body. Lifting the arms are operated by L motor connected to two big linear actuators. For moving forks I used a M motor and built a long shaft through arm to connect small LA’s. Each small linear actuator is driven by 6 universal joints. Maybe it don’t sound good but I have to say that everything works fast and fine. First you have to do is drive up to waste bin. Then lift it above body using arms. Meanwhile flap mounted on top of body opens itself and then you roll over waste bin with front forks. When bin is empty simply lower arms and put it onto ground. For driving I used XL motor with total gear reduction 1:1.4 That ratio gives you an opportunity to push truck by hand (and engine will turn). Steering is simply operated by PF Servo. As I said at the beginning there are two pneumatic functions. For opening tailgate I used one small pneumatic cylinder and for lifting body – two big cylinders. Lowering body and tailgate is done by gravity – there is no need to use air pressure. For more playability I made two waste bins – green and red. Maybe this is not a masterpiece but it had to be light. So what say more? I think that movie will say everything that possibly I forgot to write :)

  19. Hi, lovers of Lego! Today I want to show you my new 4x4 MOC - Nissan Datsun '1996 in D21 body. Specifications of MOC Model Lego Technic Nissan Datsun built on all-wheel drive platform, has a beam axle with unlocked differentials front and rear, steering - rack and pinion. The body and chassis are separate elements and are fastened to each other by 4 points. Opened doors, hood and door body. Electrics: LiPo unit XL motor on movement Servo motor - steering IrV2 - Remote control Just want to say that this story of this model, I did not finish and I want to continue it in the back of double cab body. It all began with the construction of low general pickup, its theme, you can see here on EB. By the summer I want to build a second pick-up and take over the full video on the outdoor. I do not really want to ride on the dirty snow right now.

    Hi everyone As a new member of the eurobricks-forum I'd like to introduce myself here. I'm living in Switzerland and recovered my passion to build LEGO after my Dark ages around 3 year ago. Specially, I like to build LEGO Technic while using also basic bricks. The main topics of my MOCs are trucks and other functional vehicles. The main ambition of my building is to create models based on real vehicles with the same working functions as in real life. Furthermore, most of my models are remotely controlled. Normally, I control my models with Sbrick but I also built some models with PF IR control or with the Buwizz. From time to time I also take a LEGO set and make some modification to improve the functionality and make it remote controlled. In real life I'm working as research assistant at a University of applied science and love sports.   21. Right now I am doing on a big project, it´s Ford Raptor and I am waiting for some blue bricks from bricklink. And now it is about a month from the order confirm, so I wanted to build something smaller before the bricks come. I tried to build something like a drift car with a special drifting mechanism.   22. Hey Guys I am new to Eurobricks, but here is my first MOC that I have posted to the forum. It is a Corvette C7 ZR1 with a body made out of system bricks and a Technic chassis. The car has steering, a functioning small-cylinder model V8, and opening doors. However, there is no suspension or interior. I have plans to make the car RC, but that will be quite the challenge.   24. Hey Everyone! Well what can I say, if you are not Australian you may not have heard of this car. Therefore this is my tribute to it. This is a legendary car, simply because it represents the dream. The dream of buying a race ready fast car from the dealership floor, driving to a race track and potentially winning a national race! Of course these days that is impossible to do, therefore this car will remain in our hearts forever more. I won't go into huge details about the history of this car at the race track, but here are some quick facts about the car. With the rev limiter disabled it was capable of 250 kilometers per hour (160 mph) and would pull 7,000+ rpm in 4th gear 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8 (5.763 litre) Power (DIN): 224kW (300bhp) @ 5400rpm Torque (DIN:) 515Nm (380lb-ft) @ 3400rpm Weight: 1325kg (manual) 1415kg (auto) As for my Technic version, well I have been building this on/off now for about 9 months and ran out of orange pieces because 2 orders went missing. Features: 4 speed manual gearbox Independent front and live axle rear suspension Open-able doors, boot (trunk) and bonnet (hood) 2X XL motors for drive 1x Servo for steering 46cm x 20cm x 15cm 2.046kg I was keen to have a 4 speed manual gearbox just like the real thing and thought this would be a good opportunity to try it out. It turned out to be a real pain, mostly because the gearbox is off center and had to find a creative solution, which took 6 version from the ground up to achieve. The result was a very strong chassis, but at a cost of weight obviously. If any of you can remember, I started the body work first, which had its pros and cons HAHA. I'm quite happy with how it turned out and will try that technique again in the future. I enjoyed detailing the car too with a fairly realistic engine and dashboard attempt. I didn't go overboard as I prefer a suggestion of detail and was constantly worried about weight. I was disappointed with how much power is lost thought gearboxes and drive trains, and had to drop the gearing to save the XL's from stalling. Comparing this car to my hot rod, I thought it would be a bit slower, because of the smaller wheels and efficiency of the gearing. In the end I'm very happy how it turned out and feel I made a solid attempt at capturing the Aussie beast.
