    [MOC]Isla Nublar

Jurassic Park Isla Nublar for the Rebrick Contest - Iconically Jurassic World. MOC will be displayed on my LUG upcoming event - Pixel Heaven in Warsaw (8-10.06).
  2. The T-rex is the apex predator in the Cretaceous age, and the most perfect masterpiece evolution has ever managed to accomplish. Because 65 million years after its extinction, it is still the biggest and most powerful carnivore ever walked the earth. When I first watch Jurassic Park, I was immediately captivated by the power and beauty of the T-rex, and hopelessly fell in love with her. And what beats watching a T-rex movie? Building one yourself! At 59 cm length and 930 grams weight, This model is possibly the world*’s largest posable T-rex that stands on its own. * LEGO world :-) For more pics of the beast, please visit me on flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHskCpW3Se Features: 1. It grew bigger as the building went on, for we are all greedy in the detail department. As a result, at a certain moment, It suddenly hit me that this thing may never be able to stand on its own when finished, and that would be an ultimate bummer (Yes, it’s my second MOC, I never knew LEGO was so heavy!). But due to a technique (mixel joints served as tendons), a lot of time and effort put into banlancing, and many compromises made to aesthetics, the completed T-rex stands on its own. (It may not pose a problem for digital building, but I consider this the No.1 feature of this build.) 2. Play features: This beast is not only a display piece, It is moderately posable thanks to a lot of joints. And it has to be from the conveiving because there are so many cool postures and it would be a waste of bricks if it ends up to be just a statue. Again, aesthetics has to give way… to gaps. But the very essence of LEGO saves the day again: with a few parts (modules) added or removed, the gaps left by maneuvers can be covered. 3. Sturdy. Every time I had to choose between appearance and sturdiness, I chose the latter, for which I think is a virtue of official sets. 4. I try to get the proportions as real as possible. Oftentimes I see a T-rex MOC, the head is over-sized to stress the beast's ferociousness and the feet are disproportionately large to increase stability. 5. Stud-Not-On-Top design, and all “legal” LEGO parts and techniques. The T-rex is a LEGO Ideas project, if you like it please support me at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/146539 . Thank you so much :-) Check another of my posts, Extreme Evolution: Arctic Triceratops: http://www.eurobrick...opic=135937&hl=
  3. Accordidng to Wikipedia, Some triceratops could grow up to over 9 meters long and weigh more than 12 tons. That put them in the same weight class as the ultimate predator T-rex. So their only appearance inJurassic Park obviously didn't do them justice size-wise. And if you know anything about polar bears, you would know Arctic beasts usually grow larger than their relatives in other regions of the world. Imagine how powerful and beautiful this creature must be. Features: 1. Play features. It is not a statue. It's moderately posable with tons of joints. I made it this way so it could fight a T-rex in the short movie below. You can have more poses with a few modules added or removed. 2. Sturdy. Every time I had to choose between appearance and sturdiness, I chose the latter, for which I think is a virtue of official sets. 3. Stud-Not-On-Top design, and all “legal” LEGO parts and techniques. The Triceratops is a LEGO Ideas project, if you like it please support me at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/144697 . Thank you so much :-)
  4. Hello, I am new here. I made a MOC about T-rex vs Triceratops. But I am not sure which section of this forum most fits them. Thank you for some directions. Here is a sample image. and my LEGO Ideas project Extreme Evolution: Arctic Triceratops Your support would mean a lot to me. Thank you.
  5. Here's my entry for Bob's fantastic maze competition - another theme park entry, this time based on the 1993 blockbuster classic Jurassic Park. Start at the dark green tile by the InGen helicopter and roll through the iconic gates. Pass the Galliminus grazing area and visit the beautiful Visitor Center. Watch out, the T-Rex has escaped! Don't hide in the outhouse... Continue on past the Raptor Enclosure and discover the empty jeep that Nedry once drove on his way out. Finally, pass the Stegosaurus, reach the generator bunker, and restore power to the park! Here's the obligatory shot with the standard maze frame: The tiles near the helicopter and Nedry's jeep are actually trans-blue, but they showed up weird on the render. Likewise the flames are trans-orange. All parts exist, including the red dinosaur: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?S=4079-1#T=S&O={} C&C welcome!

    Jurassic Park jeep

I thought that I'd share a little MOC I put together a while ago, the jeep from one of my favorite movies, The original Jurassic Park. Front View The front was the trickiest part to pull off, I wanted it to look as close as possible to the original jeep and so i had to put a side mounted number plate and also make the entire sides of the jeep half of a stud off the rest of it to make the cheese slope stick over the bumper the right amount! The bonnet Up until the windscreen, this thing is crazy accurate and looks like a jeep, I'm quite proud of the bonnet also. The back side of the jeep Definitely not as good as the front half. I hope you liked it Columbus

    Jurassic World custom mod

Hello! This is my first post on Eurobricks. I had some spare Jurassic World stickers and I figured out that I can build some additional structures that will go along nicely with the dinos. So I transformed an police station, changed some pieces and created some kind of outpost . Let me know what you think :) 12696567_1166148920069581_1463571670_o by Anda Diaconu, on Flickr 12674731_1166148916736248_1869590731_o by Anda Diaconu, on Flickr 12669976_1166148913402915_985352213_o by Anda Diaconu, on Flickr
  8. Hey folks! Let me start on how this happened: I wanted to join TC7, with a pretty viable idea in my head. But then, my older son found out, and the project got derailed. He likes mobile cranes very much, especially the tracked version. So, here's my entry, I hope you like it. Sorry for the low-quality photos, I had no other choice. Jurrasic Revenge Crane mode: It's a fully functional tracked crane, with a rather long boom that's raised pneumatically, working doors and the common blue chairs :) Back view, can you already guess what's it transforming into? Demonstration of the boom mechanisms, it can extend more than this but I had little time to take pics. Let's start transforming: it all starts in the cab, watch those chairs closely. They turn to the sides, touching the doors. Then I slowly push out 4 bush-pins, so the cab can slide to the back. The cab goes all the way back, connects with the boom base, and the hidden dino head goes out the "window". The arms are detracted from under the cab, revealing the 2nd mode: the Tyrannosaurus Rex battle machine! T-Rex can now stand up on its own 2 feet, that were hidden under the crane body. He can now stomp anyone who stays in his way! But wait, an Enforcer jumps from the bushes, aiming with his flare gun. Luckily, T-Rex extended his leg cannons, just in time. A direct hit! The enforcer lies unconscious on the ground... T-rex grabs him by his feet and tosses him up in the air! Then catches him on his way down with his ferocious jaws. There's no escape, puny Enforcer! Well, that's the story so far, I will add some lore later on, as well as the video, which needs serious editing. if you want to see higher resolution images, check out the Jurassic Revenge album on my Flickr account.
  9. Here are a brick built Tyrannosaurus and Indominus Rex I made for Lego Ideas. They are approximately minifigure scale with moderate part counts. Both dinosaurs are built with multiple points of articulation suitable for posing, as indicated by in the images. Part counts are 324 for Tyrannosaurus Rex and 373 for Induminus. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/109869 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/109869 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/109869 Also, here are the LDraw files for all who are interested: i_rex.ldr t_rex.ldr

    Jurassic Park

  11. Hello everyone, As promised in the official Jurassic World thread, I'm sharing the LDD models I made of some of the JW vehicles. Like many of you, I was a little disappointed by the vehicle builds in this theme and wanted to make my own more movie-accurate versions of some of them. Most are heavily inspired by offical LEGO builds (mostly from the City line). Note that the stickers are obviously missing from the vehicles so I'm afraid you'll have to use your imagination for that part. The first vehicle is loosely inspired by the Textron Tiger armoured truck which appears towards the end of the movie. It is based on the offrad pickup truck from the 1st Avengers movie (set 6867). I turned it into a two-seater and added the rear section. JW Textron Tiger 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Textron Tiger 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Up next is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van used by the ACU to track the I-rex. This one is based on an ambulance from the City theme (set 4431). JW Sprinter 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr There's enough room for about 4-5 figures in the back but it's a tight fit... JW Sprinter 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The next vehicle is the ACU 6x6 G36 from the same scene. This one is an original design but I'm still not 100% please with how it turned out. Hopefully you'll still like it and maybe some more talented builders will improve it. JW 6x6 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW 6x6 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's how it looks next to the Sprinter van. JW by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Next is the G-class SUV, which is pretty much JW's version of the Jeep Wrangler. I made two versions of this one, the first of which is pretty much a recoloured police SUV from set 4440. JW Mercedes 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr I then made a second version of the car, which is a two-seater with working doors. JW Mercedes 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr And finally, we have the Unimog. I used City set #60083 (which is a much better representation of a Unimog than the JW one) as a base for this one and tried to improve the official LEGO design from the JW theme. JW Unimog 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Unimog 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The rear section was made shorter and I completely modified the interior but you can still fit standing minifigs in there without problems. JW Unimog 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's an example of the vehicle with a different rear section (this one is inspired by set 4205). JW Unimog 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr If you guys like them, here's the LDD file containing all the vehicles: Jurassic World Vehicles.lxf Thank you for stopping by. ;)

  13. I was talking about the upcoming Jurassic World LEGO-Sets with a friend of mine and said, that I hope they will also realease some Sets from the older movies (like they did with Indiana Jones). She answered that she would love to see a "toilet-scene"-Set where the "bloodsucking lawyer" gets eaten by the T-Rex... Since that probably won't happen I decided to give it a shot myself More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  14. Hello LEGO community. I am an avid LEGO collector as I'm sure all of you are. I wanted to ask opinions on my latest project that I have listed on Cuusoo. Has anyone got any tips in how to get my idea seen and whether or not you like the set? Please head over to the Cuusoo website and search for natural history museum. I look forward to all your feedback
