1960's UK car (Anglia 105-E Super) real life 4728 inspired MOC

This model was originally by Hachiroku24 as the flying car driven by the Weasley's in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In real life, the car type used in the film was made by Ford for sale in the United Kingdom and was called the "Anglia". This particular version (a 105-E Super) was built from 1959 - 1968. I've wanted a accurate version of the flying car driven by the Weasley's in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I have been doing this cycle of building, revising with newer parts, tearing apart, and repeat since 2002 when the original set 4728 (Escape from Privet Drive) was released. I changed the color from the original medium blue to black around 2004 and revised the wheel size around 2011. Now I have added a new style front end to the car via a design by Hachiroku24. Oh, and the mini-figure in the picture is my sig-fig, which is NOT included with the car in the LDD file. The car without my sig-fig. The car can seat two mini-figures on jumper plates, and also features opening doors and trunk with plenty of space. The rear of the car features a license plate and a jumper plate to represent the exhaust pipe. As I said, the car fits two mini-figures comfortably. (The steering wheel is in the wrong spot for UK driving, but I live in the USA so I changed it for right-side driving here in the States.) Here you can see the original Hachiroku24 model, which inspired me to revamp my car. This is my model of a Ford C-Series truck (prototype here). I tried to cram as many details as possible into it, which was a challenge for this small of a model! Unfortunately minifigs don't fit inside. More pics can be found on my Flickr. Comments and criticisms welcome! -Matt

I'm a huge fan of the Lego Speed Champions range but when I saw that they had Ford sets, I was dissapointed to find that the new GT was not among them so i've had to build it myself. Stickers and all.

First of all, for those who havent seen it allready: They claim it to be just for advertising and not to become an official set. Well, looking through the video, this is quite easy to build. So we dont mind^^ From what i could see, there are no new parts so this can be build with nowadays "standard" stuff. If you allready own some of the SC, this should be a piece of cake partwise. File is ready for LDD download via this link , though im not very sure on the inside structure. Hey Guys, right now i`m building another Vehicle for my "Lego City Future" Theme. This Time,it`s a small and ordinary old Car (modeled after a Ford Model A) that was once retrofitted with affordable Aftermarket Pieces to turn it into a Hovercar. The Main Body is pretty much done but i still struggle to think of something for the Chassis (the Area with the orange Bits) I know that there are a lot of talented Masterbuilders around here and i`m sure someone has a cool Idea. This model was inspired by two Harry Potter sets numbered 4841 (Hogwarts Express, 4th Edition) & 4728 (Escape from Privet Drive) plus a single Friends set number 41101 (Heartlake Grand hotel) to create this single vehicle type, the 1960's Ford Anglia 105-E. This isn't my first time creating this car, but it is my first time reworking the model so heavily.... usually I follow the same pattern set forth from this model: This is from way back in June 2007. And this is from today. Unfortunately, the only colors you can build this car in is white or black. To keep it visually interesting, the black car has white furnishings, while the white car has a dark bluish gray interior. The front of the car features headlight styling cues from Heartlake Grand Hotel's Taxicab, while retaining the grille work of set the Weasely's Anglia from the Hogwarts Express set. I also added hinge plates to the sides by the doors to represent mirrors. The rear of the car has the trunk design from 4728's version of the same flying car from the 2002 Chamber of Secrets set line. Oh, and the bumper features a license plate and tailpipe. The model features two off-center seats for mini-figures (two can fit in the car), opening trunk with plenty of luggage space, and two opening doors. I built different hot rods and T-buckets in the past few months: a Green T-bucket, a Tow Rod, a classic black Roadster, Show Rods... ...but this time I built a unexpected machine... a '23 Ford T-bucket in pure Steampunk-ish style. This little machine features classic T-Bucket elements - an oversize small-block V-8, a short and reinforced chassis, drag slicks, "T" style radiator - mixed with Steampunk characteristics. Black, gold and brown colors are really a great combo and they seem looking tasteful on this little strange vehicle. Even if there are two pipes above the engine, necessary to exhaust the steam, this "T" can also use petrol, it's a sort of hibrid car...in fact on the back you can see the gas tank. Scale is 1:11, Features 90 degree V8 fake engine, steering, 4 speed transmission, double wishbone front / live axle rear suspension and everything that should open, does. Except the glovebox. I'm not very car savvy, but I'll have to admit that this one is pretty cool. Trying to build it was quite a challenge though! I decided to go for accuracy over play-ability whenever there was a trade-off; so no fancy opening doors or trunk or hood, but there is a full interior! Started this off thinking that at this scale the curves would be easier to achieve than they would have been at a smaller size. Boy, was I wrong. One of those builds where you have to build three different versions of every single section - but in the end, it was worth it. Thanks for looking!

[MOC] Fire Truck | '67 Chuck Miller’s Ford C-cab

This crazy machine is my LEGO replica of the well known "Fire Truck", a Show Rod designed in 1967 by legendary Chuck Miller. Miller founded Styline Customs in Detroit in the late 1960s, specialized in building custom and concept cars designed to attract attention and win awards. One of his major successes came at the 1968 Detroit Autorama, where he won the prestigious Ridler Award with the "Fire Truck". Below the LEGO replica and the real one. My LEGO model features many details: - "muscular" chromed blown small-block V-8; - single windshield; - abbreviated wooden ladders; - Good Year drag slicks; - fire engine style gold leaf “Engine n° 13” lettering on the cab sides; - older-style drum headlights; - vintage Model T taillights; - a Motometer radiator cap; - a roof rack. Inside the Cab there are a fire extingusher, an axe, a pick and a fire helmet from Fabuland theme ;) I also used many chromed bricks. While the Fire Truck could be driven on the street, it was really designed to win custom cars shows, and it succeeded decisively, taking the coveted Detroit Autorama Ridler Award in 1968. [MOC] '32 Ford "Tow Rod"

Take a classic '32 Ford Hot Rod, paint the whole machine in bright yellow, add a crane on the back and you've got the weirdest Tow Rod ever created! My latest work is based on my previous Ford Roadster cutomized with a classic LEGO crane from early era. I love using old pieces to build my models and the "string reel winch with metal handle and crane arm complete with string and metal hook" fits perfeclty on this crazy Tow Rod. Below the back with the vintage crane and the custmomized license plate The Green "T" seems having some troubles...the yellow machine tows the "T" at the Speed Garage for mixing up, soon it will be back fit. [MOC] "Green T" - '23 Ford T-bucket

Hello, today I show you my latest MOC: the "Green T". Even if I don't live in "The Golden State" I love the strange vehicles called "T- buckets". Seeing these Buckets moving from a beach to another is very usual in California, where I live a little bit less... Anyway, the "Green T" is my last MOC and it's my pride and joy (especially photographed in my Speed Garage). This genuine T-bucket has the two-seater body of a Model T roadster with a little turtle deck in the backside. A full chromed Model T-style radiator is fitted. The big V8 sends power to the oversized rear wheels, with the typical dog dish hubcaps, through the strong drivetrain. A big charger is fitted on the top of the engine. This time I've used many chromed bricks and I think they look great on the "Green T". I love also the white-green color combo. Recently I have built a few custom Harley Davidsons and a Cadillac lowrider, all in bigger 1/10 scale. My latest addition in this scale is this 1932 Ford Tudor Hot Rod. It has suspension, steering, engine wiring and hosing, and a lot of retro-chromed parts and a few custom stickers as well. The model also has working doors, full interior and fully detailed chassis. [MOC] ’32 Ford Roadster: Classic Choice

Hello, today I show you my latest MOC: The Roadster. My ’32 Ford roadster is probably one of the most classic and iconic “old school” Hot Rod around. Recently people has discovered again the old school Hot Rods with their smooth design, classic colors and without frills. Original and vintage Hot Rods are considered today as a treasure to conserve and preserve indeed they are sought after and very expensive. I'm fascinated by classic Rods and for this I built this Ford ’32 Roadster with the body of a Ford Model B, released by the American manufacturer from 1932 to 1934, painted in total black. The Roadster fits the V8 flathead with three carburettors and wheels are "oversized" respect to the original ones that were narrower (I didn’t find LEGO wheels that fitted well, at least to me). I used few chromed parts that I think look great on the car. I especially like the big rims with the chromed dish 4 x 4 inverted (Radar). The engine is made of light grey bricks with a touch of chrome. I like to imagine this Roadster racing at Bonneville Speedway in the fifties. Racing number: 74, of course! [WIP] 2016 Ford GT

Finally I get some time to build! WOOT! Well I've been wondering what to make for my next project, as I really wanted to make a modern curvy supercar for once! And just when I was about to give up look what pops up! What can I say? I love the looks, and I wasn't really a fan of the old and really old GT, but this one I like! I'm also looking forward to building in a new style for me consisting of Black and Blue rigid and pneumatic hoses. The idea is for it to be ultra light and cheap to build using 8070 rims and tires and possible those nice Ferrari rims. I'm not sold on the back of the car tho, kinda looks like a skull with firey eyes! LOL Looks nice in silver! http://www.motorauth...icago-auto-show Here is my WIP The bodywork will be completely pneumatic hose, and I'm aiming for under 1kg final weight. The hose on the Left is 3rd party, slightly more stiff and off blue tho. I must express my disapointment that my previous thread was locked after only 4 days with no WIP, but anyway we shall move on. And no discussing what makes a supercar or not! Make another thread please. -
I made Mention in my last MOC thread about building a car from "yesteryear" well after looking over many great cars from the 60s and 70s i settled on the Iconic Ford GT40, in particular the 1966 MKI. *History Lesson* As Many racing fans know the Ford GT40 holds quite an amazing chapter in Le Mans history. starting in 1966 the GT40 had come out of its development years and was primed to dominate the endurance racing scene. the MKII would win 24 hours of Daytona along with 2nd and 3rd. Sebring was another 1, 2, 3 finish for the Ford cars with the X-1 Roadster taking the over all. at Le Mans of 1966 the GT40 was running 1, and 2 late in the race and in an attempt to keep both Drivers happy with the result Ford tried to arrange a tie. Driver Ken Miles was however not satisfied with a tie, and in protest to Ford slowed his car in the final straight still taking second but removing what could have been an amazing side by side finish. 1967 was equally as successful with the MKVI taking Le Mans. in 1968 a rule change was applied that limited engine size and eliminated the MKII, MKIII and MKIV, leaving the older MKI cars still eligible. this change in rules left the MKI in great position for the season and lead to a Championship for Makes victory for Ford. the following year would be the end of the GT40s reign being almost 6 years older than its competitors. in a very close battle with Porsche's 908 the Ford GT would win but by mere seconds unlike previous years. the most remarkable detail of the 68, and 69 victories is that it was achieved by the exact same car - the legendary GT40P/1075. this to date is the only Car to win the 24hours of Le Mans twice. *end of history lesson* I've spent quite a lot of time on this one, more than my previous cars combined. with the history of the car, and my long standing appreciation of the car i had to get it right. My model is 16studs long and only 3 bricks 2 plates tall. so, without further ado here is my LEGO 1966 Ford GT40 MKI (road car). *Update: revised headlights to better match those found on the actual car* Ford GT40 headlights 2.0 as always, I hope you enjoyed my build, there are more pictures of the car in my Flickr, for those that want to see more. Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year! I'm very pleased to present instructions to my 1932 Ford Hot Rod from the popular demand that I had for them. I have been working on these now for about 3 months taking up most of my free time, but I am very very happy with the results. These are truly unique instructions made from the 450 photos I took using a 200mm lens, with the camera touching the ceiling on a tripod. This creates the very nice near isometric look that I wanted, to make it clear to follow visually in each step.
