  1. I know that I shouldn't start another build before finishing all those previous ones but you know, when you get an idea, you sometimes just can't resist... Well, this time it's an electric tractor - John Deere SESAM 2 (Sustainable Energy Supply for Agricultural Machinery) because I've realized that it would be useful to have something to pull a trailer full of harvested "beets" from my ROPA harvester. I've decided to build this specific one because I wanted something that no one has built before (presumably) and I find this concept quite interesting as well. The problem I've faced from the very beginning is lack of any documentation - I can only build according to the video below (and photos that are mostly from this video). All I know is that it is based on a 6R tractor and its cabin comes from some kind of a harvester. The idea si that it can work as an autonomous tractor as well as a classic tractor (well, you can attach a cabin ) I also wanted to try designing a model in digital form before ordering all those expensive green parts This is where I got: Powered by 2 Mindstorms RI Hubs 7 motors (already placed), a distance sensor at the front and 4 pairs of lights (front, rear and indicators) 4WD with central differential and automatic rear diff lock (@JoKo will know ) by 2 Large Angular motors Steering via 1 C+ L motor Rear PTO (1 Medium angular motor) Front hydraulics (1 Medium angular motor) Rear hydraulic (1 C+ L motor) Sariel's pneumatic pump with switch for power output Pendular front axle First prototype of the front grille: Cabin: The internals: I know, it's already quite crammed inside but as I've already built it IRL, I'm really satisfied with the result! Everything seems to work well, the drivetrain is efficient (thanks to batteries at the front it can easily pull heavy objects) The only thing that isn't that fantastic is the diff lock (as many of you definitely spotted even in the beginning) - it works well, however it's only useful when one of the rear wheels is lifted off the ground. I can only pray that the front pendular axle will always copy terrain and have enough traction at anytimes I hope I'll manage to make a few photos of the real thing this week. Thank you for reading & comments with any suggestions are welcome as always!
  2. Well, it certainly wasn't easy but I managed to reverse engineer most of set 43217 - 'Up' house (seen above in spoiler) and add a back to it using just two box pictures. I added a back half and raised the build by a brick and a plate. Unfortunately, I just couldn't figure out the roof from the set or the original bay window. The former just got swapped for a brick-built roof, while the latter was removed and replaced with something simpler after much stress. The new rear half. It had it's issues trying to get everything to work. But it's good enough for me. The house folds open and even wraps around the chimney as much as possible. (The odd-size flue sticks out into the back half's space a bit) The lower floor features a living room, foyer, kitchen, and dining room while the upper floor features a bedroom. The first floor worked out well design-wise, but the second floor is an absolute mess due to all the supports / arches / beams needed to hold the roof together. Speaking of the roof, both sections aren't very pretty, but it works... at the cost of taking a whole bunch of upstairs space on the inside, as you can see. This vintage car was heavily modified from a model by BricksAA and these free MOC instructions over on Rebrickable. The car features a spare tire hanging at the back of the vehicle. The roof is removable to seat the three figures on the inside. EDIT 3/11/23: Car photos added! Thoughts?
  3. *A Lego IDEAS submission* Frankie's Farm by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Welcome to the farm! This is a farm-themed freight train set that features the small diesel engine Shiro-chan. Shiro-chan v2 (front) by Nick Jackson, on Flickr There are three freight cars to transport cargo from the farm to your LEGO town. These are an all-purpose gondola, a tanker car, and a wood-paneled livestock car. Gondola (v2) by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Tank Car by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Stock Car (open) by Nick Jackson, on Flickr The farm consists of a barn with a loft, a mini tractor with a trailer, and a raised goods platform with a crane hoist. Barn Full by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Tractor (front) by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Farm Platform by Nick Jackson, on Flickr In the barn's loft there is a spot where a minifigure can take a quick nap next to the hay! Barn Loft by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Barn Open by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Drive the tractor and trailer to haul crates' worth of goods and supplies between the barn and the platform. The cargo platform has attachment points in the base which allow you to rearrange the ramps and staircase. The barn can also attach to the platform. For minifigures, there are two train operators, three farmhands, and an assortment of farm animals including cows, chickens, dogs and cats. Barn, Tractor, & Minifigs by Nick Jackson, on Flickr I built this digitally via Stud.io, but I have also built Shiro-chan (the engine) in real life. Depending on how the support campaign goes, I will attempt to construct the rest of the set. Not all of the parts exist (yet) in the colors depicted however. Thanks so much for taking some time to look at my project! **UPDATE** 6/28/22 So, I ordered some parts and set about building this in real bricks! I think the set turned out rather well! Can you spot the differences between the renders and the irl build…?

    Æmilia Brick Farm

Hi, pleased to present the latest Æmiliabricks Lug work, a typical farm of our country. It required a long work and many buckets of pieces. This version is a work in progress as we still have to refine many details. Hope you all enjoy it.
  5. *This entry has earned 20 XP* WAR IN THE OUTER RIM The Triumvirate has besieged a number of remote worlds, their most brazen attack yet. The New Republic must respond, but lacks the military strength to oppose the Remnant alone: the call for aid goes out across the galaxy, and the Freedom Fighters answer. Warriors from the Confederacy of Free Systems, Freedom Fighters, and New Republic commandos battle alongside each other on the wind-blown farmlands of Telos IV. Jun Kanda--former-Jedi Knight, former-bounty hunter, and current hero--leads them all bravely into the fray. 6. Here is my review on latest 10775 Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck's Farm: THE GOOD: Lots of animals and the new sheep is great! Nice farm outfit torsos for Mickey and Donald. New Mickey Logo piece. Nice printing for the windows. THE NOT SO GOOD: Can't find any to be honest, i guess I would prefer a proper saddle piece for the horse. Overall, I like this very much. It's a decent set. Originally bought this set just for the new sheep but the minifigures and other new pieces are great, also it's not often you get a set at this price with so many different animals. The sheep is actually great and I would like an army of it before it becomes another goat situation (hopefully not). I also wish we could just order more of the Mickey logo piece. I really can't find anything bad on this set. Recommending this to everyone!
  7. *Your entry has earned 12 xp* Given the recent attacks on Muunilinst by state-sponsored mercenary forces, the Dantooine garrison of the Pentastar Patrol has been on high alert. Captain Pavay walks the local farmsteads with a few patrol troopers (both of whom forego the full stormtrooper facemask, per garrison policy). He greets the farmers amicably and makes sure everyone is doing well, answering any questions and assuaging any concerns. The Captain has been walking this track for a number of weeks now; the farmers are happy enough to see the man, who in their eyes has become something of a local sheriff. While the Pentastar Alignment is, at its core, an Imperial Remnant, there are many among its ranks who seek to create the Empire as it should have been: a strong government protective of its citizens, providing for a grateful populace with the strong arm of justice. No less authoritarian, but precise, intelligent, and benevolent, not cruel or wasteful. Pavay is one of these "visionaries," a term used distastefully by certain members of the cabinet. Whatever their opinions, the loyal citizens he protects know they have nothing to fear. MORE PHOTOS Thanks for looking!

    [MOC] Leland's farmstead

Another build I made recently: Leland's farmstead At the edge of the small village lies the farmstead of Leland and his family. He's currently fixing the roof. Many passerby's can be observed on the main road of the village. Thanks for looking. Leland's farmstead by Ids, on Flickr

    My first MOC

Hello everyone. So I faced my fears and decided to finally share something here on Eurobricks. This is as the title suggests, my very first MOC and as such, I would appreciate feedback About the MOC: A small medieval fantasy farm. The baroness and her henchmen have come to collect taxes from the farmer and his wife. Unbeknownst to them, a whole new threat looms right around the corner. 10. The grain silo has been a landmark across the North American breadbasket since the railroads moved west. For my layout, I built a small setup on a 32x32 baseplate. The roof over the grain load/unloading area is removable for play value at shows. Additionally, one wall is removable so the interior (including grain elevator) is visible. The brick built ear of corn is based on design on the combine harvester from 2009.

    Stables near Batuhan

There are many small farms around Batuhan, in the northwest of Kaliphlin. At one, a farmer and his son put the livestock into the stables for the night.
  12. Benedict Thorpe had thought it might be hard to start a produce farm in Wullham, but the rich soils on the island of Panarium meant everything he planted thrived with only basic tending. He had planted extra carrots, onions, melons, squash, and wheat thinking not all of it would make it, but the vegetables seemingly doubled in number during the growing season. The result was he had more produce than he knew what to do with! As Thorpe stood pondering his good fortune, Corporal Newbury returned his dairy cow Elise who had wandered off down the track. Without many trees to be found on the island, the farmer used driftwood to build his garden fences. After Elise the cow was re-secured in her barn, the croaking of the frogs at the nearby pond helped Thorpe doze off into a nice nap. Licensed by Wullham as a medium vegetable plantation OoC: Wanted to try a SNOT base with darker soil colors, went with reddish-brown and dark orange, which are darker than what we commonly see in pirate builds. Also wanted to begin to establish a whitewashed architectural style for Wullham that incorporates little bits of the lavender color. I'm imagining fancier buildings will have slate roofs and more ornamental features.
  13. EDIT : It's no more the Panther 2 but the Tiger 6s, please scroll down for further information. Hello everybody. A few weeks ago I've started to build a German sugar beet harvester ROPA Panther 2 in 1:17 scale. Here is the fourth version of the chassis and its features (still far away from completion): 2 C+ Smart Hubs (first is for steering and drivetrain and second is for other functions - not finished yet) 2 C+ XL motors for drivetrain (front and rear axle aren't connected together) 1 C+ L motor for front axle's articulated steering 1 C+ XL motor for rear axle's steering Pendular rear axle Front hydraulics operated via 2 short thick pneumatic cylinders Automatic security levers connected to rear steering I'd like to make it fully working (put some bricks on the front belt to go through the whole mechanism and fall into the container), everything works except the cleaning section (no idea how it will work yet) So a lot of work still left to do.... Thank you for visiting! & Comments are welcome.
  14. Hello, since my somehow succesfull moc the Challenger MT965E i decided to build more, and now in form of familiar Case ih tractor, i already builded bare chassis, this time i switched to servo operated steering instead of linear acctuators, videos of progress are here, if you have any ideas and recomendations, ill welcome them :) Current form PART 1 PART 2
  15. Last year i finnished one of my biggest and most serious project to date, and now after a long time i am trying to make first entry to this forum to reach more people with this creation, and gain some feedback too, have to say that thanks to some lego builders and also my nature i like agro machines, and in lego they combine look with functionality almost perfectly. Challenger MT965E This model was created to showcase me as a builder and the way i would like to go, along with instructions which may help me to gain some interest in future creations, this was the first spark to see if there is any further interest in agriculture stuff. The scale of tractor is 1:17-ish ...since wheels are a bit smaller around 1:19, overall the model is my first entry into scale modeling so i may learn more stuff along the way of future projects. It has basic functions as drive with XL motor, with manual locking differentials on both axles, steering is operated by two small linear acctuators powered by one L motor, then the rear hydraulic hitch is powered by M motor and PTO is propulsed by L motor. Instructions are made by myself, also there was quite a learning curve as a begginer in that kind of field, so there still may be few missing features and little bugs, but so far nobody had any major complains. Instructions can be bought at rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/users/MK.Technic/mocs/ More photos: https://bricksafe.com/pages/MK.Technic.Creations/challenger-mt965e VIDEO:

    [MOC] Spring Plowing

It's almost that time of year again...time to bust some clods! I've been experimenting with different designs for a horse-drawn plow, and this is what I finally settled on. The field is just filler in my railway layout using whatever green and tan plates I had left. C&C welcome! Soli Deo Gloria

    The Farmer's Van

Please let me introduce you my latest creation, the farmer's van. This car and the minifigure tools will be the part of a larger countryside layout. Despite that, I think the van, the chicken coop and the large variety of minifigure utensils make a whole separately. So I decided to start a LEGO Ideas project. You can check it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/81cec135-0576-4922-a198-7b06e7384185 If you like the idea, please support it. If you share it, please use #bringbacktheLEGOgoat hashtag. Provide fresh fruit and vegetables, milk and eggs to the citizens of your LEGO city with this ultimate farmer starter pack! Ensure that everyone can get healthy organic food from you – a trustworthy local producer. This idea includes: The farmer’s car with opening doors and with enough space for two minifigures. A large food supply: carrot, asparagus, apple, cherry, egg and milk in bottle. Two chickens with their house. The farmer and his daughter. Last but not least, a free-range goat, an original LEGO goat. Yes, we really should #bringbacktheLEGOgoat ! Behind the ide: Do we know what we eat day by day? Eating quality food and knowing its source are getting difficult nowadays. As a conscious consumer, I want to highlight the importance of locally produced organic food and promote it with a nice LEGO set. Furthermore, as a LEGO fan, I wanted to create a set idea that contains a lot of food minifigure utensils and the legendarily hard-to-find LEGO goat. The goat in the pictures was lent by my friend – I don’t have one either! :) Thank you for your feedback and support. You can check the pictures in large resolution on my flickr gallery: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmBNeXFn
  21. Good Day. 8281 is a $10 set released in 2006 which had a simple harvester(?) attachment that could be lifted up using a lever to disconnect it from the driveshaft. Even being so simple it's a neat set nonetheless and it was my first ever Lego set (was 5 y/o). This would be an homage to my grandmother as well, who gifted me this set, making a perfect introduction for me to Technic. The goals of this build are: PF remote control Green color + yellow wheels rear PTO Some sort of harvester attachment, red-colored Front pendular suspension Cabin with shock absorbers Rear axle with locking differential 13x24 front wheels (rear ones on 8281) 62.4x20S rear wheels Progress so far: This is the approximate wheelbase I planeed initially, however, as I won't be using a buwizz, it can be shortened by1-2 studs. The front axle is pretty much solved, it has even got ackermann geometry (not accurate one though). The pivot point is the steering shaft, and the axle will be held onto the chassi using the 90° connectors on front&rear. Rear axle hasn't had the same luck. The current encarnation has a locking diff and is powered by a XL motor. However, the 16z between the 24z crown and diff slips even under the speeded-up motor. Also, the motor is positioned way too high, so most of this will have to be rebuilt. EDIT: will use a worm gear As the motor will be moved to the front, a 9v battery will be used to allow space for PTO, suspension & proper cabin. Hopefully this won't be another failure as it is pretty much out of my comfort zone

    Mitgardian Farmhouse

Entry number four into the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. I built this house for another project, but figured I might as well enter it into the miscellaneous category. There is a full interior inside the house, accessed via lift off roof. I'll be using this build in a tutorial covering how to angle buildings on landscapes in the future - but it probably won't be posted until the CCC is done Many farmers have small homesteads in the tundra of Mitgardia. This particular family’s livestock consists of chickens and goats. You can find more images on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, and feedback is always appreciated
  23. So LittleJohn and Kai had a great idea to get a collab going and landed on the idea of showing Kaliphlin at work. As I wanted to expand Mophet to a proper town (or city...) I felt it was a great opportunity to get building. Noticed our guild had been falling behind a bit in the gold-standings but that will hopefully change in the coming month So this is the first in a coming series of builds showing the everyday life in Kaliphlin. Make sure you check out the other builders' MOCs which are coming along during the following weeks :) Starting out with something that every aspiring settlements need, a farm! This particular farm is located in the outskirts of Mophet and is growing Juz-albieta, a very nutritious plant which is able to thrive in the harsh deserts of Kaliphlin. It's sort of a mix between a potatoe and a carrot and is a base-food for many of the inhabitants of Mophet. The MOC shows a couple of farmers going about their everyday life, harvesting the crops. Hope you like the MOC as well as what's coming during this collab. Stay tuned, more is on the way :) As peace had returned to Kaliphlin, and the rebuilding was slowly coming along, life started to return to normal. Farmers were able to go back to their normal lives and do what they knew best, farm. The Arkbri river, which ran approximately 15-20 miles north-west of Mophet, had always been vital in supporting the otherwise dry land with water. A series of canals and aqueducts had been constructed (and recently rebuilt), which made farming in this climate possible. One such farm was run by a couple of brothers, the Hazans'. Like most living in badlands, they were grateful to still be alive given the turmoil that had ensued for the last couple of years, and looked forward to aid the people of Mophet with their crops. Going back generations, the Hazan family had been farming Juz'albieta. And they were mighty proud of that heritage. Their father had always preached the importance of being able to support one self, and the pride one can take in an honest days work, especially if that meant being able the feed the people around you. The younger brother Ma-hi enjoys the work a bit more than his brothers...

    MOC: Farm Truck

Farm Truck Inspired by my childhood growing up on a farm and a cool idea to build a truck with an actual frame. Farm Truck by Fred Cleaver, on Flickr Farm Truck by Fred Cleaver, on Flickr This design also allows me to use a more realistic trailer hitch system. It would use this part for the trailer end. Farm Truck by Fred Cleaver, on Flickr Farm Truck by Fred Cleaver, on Flickr Farm Truck by Fred Cleaver, on Flickr The cab could be better as I had to make some concessions to create the attachment to the frame. The minifig actually adds a fair amount of structural strength when he's in the cab. Thanks for looking
  25. The path out of the orchard leads Sir Loth Strongarm by the family's produce garden, lush with crops. There he sees his granddaughter Yura, the middle child of his son Stenon, harvesting vegetables. Hard working, strong-willed and beautiful as her mother. She is of marrying age but, like her older brother, does not seem to give much thought to it yet. Granted, the current small Vale community does not have many potential compatible suitors. Another thing that might change with the return of Lady Eleanor, with the possibility of the return of some of those who left the Vale and the arrival of new settlers.
