Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Ground Vehicle, Exploration Mission Log: Entry 18 ~ It was three days later when we found it. We'd given up on the Search and Destroy mech when it ran out of fuel, and had resorted to using the Spiri - a multi-functional two-wheeled monstrosity which could travel both in the air and on the ground. Its wings doubled as mudguards for its huge, misshapen wheels. Among the four of us, we called it the 'Water-Boatman'. I had sent Agent Kytes back to our command ship to fetch reinforcements - we were crossing into Octan territory, and as much as we didn't want hostilities, they might not believe the true nature of our mission. We came across a remote Octan bunker deep in foothills of Arium Major; it had clearly been abandoned for quite some time. Trees sprouted from cracks in the walls and roof, and to our shock, the skeletal remains of its occupants lay sprawled by the door and gun position on the roof. And standing over the bodies was our missing mutant. He had taken a gun from the dead Octan employees, and brandished it threateningly, screaming in some obscure language. His arm had now solidified into a claw and he appeared completely unafraid of the hulking Spiri behind us. Agent Sharpe and I advanced, keeping our weapons trained on the mutant, hoping to capture it without shots being fired.... Then suddenly, without warning, the creature flipped the catch on the gun and fired. Agent Sharpe was taken completely by surprise. He never had a chance. Seeing Sharpe go down, I launched myself at the creature, but it fled into the undergrowth and disappeared from sight before I could reach it... Location F-10 Arium Major Tags, Land Vehicle. Exploration We've landed and started traveling across the land regions of Arium Major. It is a beautiful planet that we have never explored in great detail before. My redshirt brigade is excited to be apart of this mission as we are on good hard ground and in a safe exploration rig. We can travel for weeks aboard the "Big Truck" since it has all the equipment and supplies to keep itself repaired and maintained in this rugged terrain. The interior has room for five and still enough space for a light recon ATV. When the trails get tough this little rig can scout ahead and find us a safe pass. With these redshirts, safety is #1. Murphy's Law struck right away for us. Just as I brag about this Big Truck being tough we get a jammed front tire and the suspension is broke. "Ok guys, we need to change out the tire for sure and inspect the suspension for damage. Let's work together and get this done so we can get back to work." "Nice and easy, lower it down slowly.....there ya go......WATCH OUTTTTTTT!!!" "Redshirt #2? You OK?" "Hey, no worries! It landed on the plants and I didn't get hurt!" "Wow, that is some luck. Sir, #2 is alive!" "Somebody by a lottery ticket!" "Sir, the wheel is bent and the suspension needs adjusting, the toe is pushed out, I need to line it up." "OK, just be careful" "LOOK OUT!!" CRUNCH!!!! "Redshirt #7, you OK?" "Yup, a brick stopped it from crushing me!" "Wow, lets get this fixed, get done exploring and get home before our luck runs out!" Finally we are finished with the repairs and can get back on the trail. I cannot believe I didn't lose a Reshirt today, Raven will be so proud!

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Mission Log: Entry 17 ~ My father filled me in on the mission as we boarded the shuttle. Exactly a week ago, a certain Kawashita Space Marine had reported into the medical centre on Orinshi with a strange malady. He said that he had been shot with an alien weapon during a spying mission on Arium Major, but he didn't know who had shot him. The medical staff had seen nothing like it, so they sent him to Avindrian Laboratories for examining. The scientists managed to extract some sort of bullet from the soldier's skin, but noted a strange redness emanating from the area around the wound when they removed it. Within days every patch of skin on his body had turned a deep red, and his eyes turned yellow. Upon removing his shirt, scientists found that one of his arms had developed a thick crust of red skin and his hand was hardening into a claw. The next day, he was gone. The body of a lab assistant was found in his room, clearly murdered. He'd used the assistant's security card to gain access to a shuttle; operatives tracked it to Arium Major. Paradoxically, this was where the soldier had sustained the injury. I was sent along with two special forces commandos, Agents Sharpe and Kytes, to track down the mutant soldier and bring him (or it) back to Kawashita space for interrogation and analysis. I was also tasked with investigating the origin of the bullet. In case the planet's ruling Octan council sent operatives to stop us, or we ran into hostile aliens, our party was assigned a Kawashita Search-and-Destroy mecha, equipped with the latest weapons technology and piloted by none other than Ekira Mitoshi himself. After weeks of sailing, The Knight of Stedor arrived at a desolated beach, unknown to the current maps. Captain Ben D'anvers yelled to his crew: "Time for a break and start exploring lazy sundayworkers!" An explosion of joy was the answer! Finally they discovered an island! Once disembarked, Officer Giancarlo noticed a small wooden structure in the middle of the beach. He pointed it out to Captain Ben and together they walked curiously to the mystical shrine. "Huh, this is a strange place", officer Giancarlo said "look at that small statue with the funny hat". Captain Ben D'Anvers was looking around him. This certainly is something very uncommon. He knew there were natives found on one of the other islands closeby, but he recognised the helmet from one of his trips to the National History Museum of Corrington. "That's a viking helmet" Ben said "and I guess that blue statue under it was the original wearer of that helmet." "But it still is a strange shrine then, look at those shields above it..." Giancarlo replied. "Wait a minute, this is not just a shrine, I think we are standing on a stranded Drakar!!! That really looks like a stern of a vessel to me" answered Ben a little bit too loud because suddenly... .. Suddenly 2 norse warriors ran towards them, their weapons swinging in the air... "Soldiers! Here!" yelled Ben... Quickly 2 MAESTRO-soldiers entered the scene of action, pointing their muskets to the warriors. They never saw something like that before and thought it was just a wooden stick, so they started laughing, not at all frightened by the gunpower of the soldiers. So one of the 2 soldiers aimed for a flying bird and shot it down. Now the 2 vikings stopped and looked in awe to the magical weapon their opponent had "That was close" Ben sighed. "Thanks for coming so quicklyi" He bowed for the Viking warriors. Meanwhile one of the soldiers brought a chest full of shiny golden stuff and opened it in front of the 2 Vikings. Stunned by all the gold and understanding this act of friendship, they bowed towards Captain Ben D'Anvers and said something in an unknown language before pointing their hands to an invisible place somewhere in the woods. They started walking and guiding our explorers into the woods. The 2 MAESTRO-Soldiers constanlty watched out to ensure the safety of their masters. Giancarlo whispered "Why do you gave them gold, they are barbarians and I guess they can't offer us anything valuable". Captain Ben D'Anvers replied: "You know Vikings attacked our homelands 300 years ago. They are the ancestors of the modern day Kingdoms of The Great Raider, west of Corrington and Oleon. But they didn't only raid villages in the east, they also explored the seas west of their homeland. Somehow one of these ships has stranded here and I guess their captain died too soon, so they never had the possibility to return. If these stories are true, we may find prove the world is round. If so, they should have somewhere ancient maps of the unknown area east of where we are now. That would give us a big advantage over our competitors!" Is Captain Ben D'Anvers right about this? Location: B08 Greater Direstan Tags: Exploration Credits to CallMePie for this build. I hope I did it justice. Mission Log: Entry 14 ~ It was nearly midday when I opened my eyes. I didn't know who I was, where I was or how long I'd been asleep for. I was lying face down in the earthy soil of some planet; in front of me, dense forests gave way to vast cliffs of solid stone, permeated by purple twinkles. The name "awesomnium" occurred to me, although I had no idea why. To my left, the entire planet was a barren, charred wasteland, small flames licking at the skeletons of trees and bushes; it was as if a great area of the planet had been slain, razed to the ground and turned to ashes and dust. I was horrified: who could have done such a thing? I then became aware of a curious robotic ... thing hovering above the canopy of trees. It was grey, with dark red highlights and an emblem in the shape of a flower entitled "Kawashita Group Probe Drone Mk. IV". The... drone, I guess, hovered down until it came face to face with me. A curious, gravelly voice emanated from it, "Scanning.... Identification Approved." I peered into its luminous red eye, "What identification? Tell me about myself." It replied, and as it did, as if from a jigsaw puzzle, pieces began to fall in place within my head. Who I was, where I was and what had happened to me. "Name... Cjalus Avinder, alias Agent Dragonfire. Homeworld: Earth, Milky Way Galaxy. Occupation: Senior Board Executive at Kawashita Group, Ltd." I blinked, taking all of this in, "Where... where am I?" "Location: Greater Direstan, Andromeda Galaxy. Currently under MANTIS control." MANTIS. For some reason I thought I ought to remember the name, but it escaped me once again. I did know one thing, though. They must be the ones that did this to this beautiful planet. I felt a cold feeling of rage at the wanton destruction; it was interrupted by the drone. "Message from the CEO of Kawashita, Agent Raven. 'Dragonfire, is that you? Where have you been? We've lost almost all our members and the other corporations are encroaching on our territory. There's a shuttle in orbit above this planet. Come quickly: Kawashita needs you." I got to my feet, a determined feeling in my mind. I would find out what had happened. EDIT* TITLE IS WRONG, LOCATION IS B06 SORN!!! (I requested for it to be changed ) Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Exploration Doctor Weifu sent me out to do some investigating on Sorn, one of it's small islands had some very strange Awesomnium readings she wanted investigated and it was a perfect excuse to field test these new prototype droids team Ypsilon has been working on. While still relatively unfamiliar with Awesomnium I found something very peculiar, as I recall from the logs most often it is found in ore deposits but somehow these strange Awesomnium readings came from trees which appeared to contain liquid Awesomnium resin. I'll bring back a sample for the scientists to investigate. More pics: I had to use photoshop to touch up the lighting our they would've been pretty dark, I blame the winter My story will be continued later, what I had planned was too much work during the hectic holiday period and I hope I didn't overstep any bounds with this build particularly having Awesomnium trees

Mission E-11 Fascini Cluster Tags, Exploration, We have been exploring these huge rocks for weeks now and I detected a man made structure on one of the larger asteroids so we decided to land and investigate. "Sir, this looks like the entrance, what do you think?" "I don't know Redshirt 4, those arrows and round door......could be a soda machine, or a bubbler." "Bubbler sir?" "Never mind......" We found a silver device of some sort on one of the chambers. Redshirt 4 decided he wanted to hold it. "Sir, there seems to be a on off switch.....should I activate it....while I point this end at me?" "Nooooooooooooooooo" Well....at least I don't have to fill out his pay sheet this week. We moved on, leaving the carnage behind us and found another room with a odd looking helmet in it. Concerned was I, odd it is. The chamber was lit up with torches, a odd power was in the room. I couldn't put my finger on it as much as I forced myself to try. Redshirt 3 decided he was going to be funny and put it on. "Look sir, it fits.......arrrrrggghhhhh......You.....you will bow before me......there is some dark force......BOW" "Redshirt, don't make me do it!" "DARKSIDE!!!!" I sliced the poor reshirts head clean off.... That's it, I am noping the heck outta this place, no way, no how do I want anything more to do with this odd hocus pocus stuff from wherever it came from! Yup, bury the entrance, don't tell anyone at all about this. Not even CEO Raven is going to hear about this. I am going to go back to my hanger, work on my ship and pretend this never happened. I am going to stick to being a Pilot, this exploration stuff is way above my pay grade.

The SMP got into work immediately but the moment the saws hit the ice they made a nasty grinding sound and Tariq knew something was wrong. The ice was 5 times thicker than Tariq had thought, a consequence he had not foreseen. The extraction would take at least 5 hours, but he would keep on trying

Mission : K-D10 The Hamilton Belt Trying to get back to work after a long hiatus I have enlisted some new employees to help with supplies. They work harder than the red shirts I have and don't seem to die all the time. Easily identifiable as not Octan or MANTIS, these orange and white uniforms should confuse everyone. They are clumsy at times though.... I don't know what is in the rocks, but I've been told it is worth something to someone I sure hope the corporation is ok with my little extended vacation I went on.

In addition to exploring, Rose had been teaching Ender how to fly. Now it was time for a crash course in attacking and evasive maneuvers!

Location: A06 - Guinevere Tags: Science, Exploration Mission Log Recording - This is Dr. Steven Quin Livingston with my tenth weekly mission in Andromeda. For this mission I have been asked to go to Guinevere and explore a network of caves. I entered into the caves loaded down with all kinds of sophisticated mapping equipment and tools to detect small quantities of gold. Within about 90 minutes I found a large vein of gold ore that was begging to be removed. I left the equipment in the cave and returned with all the gold that I could carry. I would need to return with different tools. Comments and criticism are welcome.

Location: D08 Angornal Tags: Vehicle, Driver, Exploration While pandas of a different kind had been spotted on Arium Major, Ender tested out the new Red Panda mech the boys in the Kawashita lab on Angornal had cooked up. It came equipped with all the tools needed to cut through the forests found on many of the islands on the planet. Which was perfect since Ender had also been tasked with exploring one of the chains of islands near the main contingent of Kawashita colonists. And while the alien activity on the plant was said to be sparse, it never hurt to be packing a little fire-power. ​All in all, Ender felt the mech was ready for use on any suitable frontier.

Location: C10 Marden Tags: Land Vehicle, Military, Exploration Double D's log 17: It's another week on Marden, but this time I get to test out a new kind of remote-controlled weapons system. I get to drive a sweet tank around in the snow and blow up things (mostly snow). The tank is part of a new lineup that MANTIS is doing - MANTIS Mini Tanks (MMT). Apparently you can control many of these tanks at once. What's also neat is that there are cameras on each tank can be seen on the controller's screen. I can definitely see these being very useful should MANTIS need a bunch of heavy-duty inexpensive tanks that pack a punch! This tank in particular comes equipped with a snow plow just in case. I wonder what other accessories it can have... ~ DD out --------------------------------------------------------------------- I like how compact the tank is, and I'm really pleased with the treads marks.

Location: E03 - Ertauq Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle, Exploration ...{{){})})(>......[begin log transmission]:: Day 5....After days of bland unchanging grey sand desert, finally came across something interesting....a mineral deposit of some sort.... SATCAM image from Ertauq: The metallic minerals seem to be aligned to the planet's magnetic field.....the resulting stress points allow eruptions of gas and liquid that deposit a crystalline mineral....nearly clear to blue in colour: There is also a curious life form...a semi-sentient plant of some sort....I will call them "frond friends" for now...as they are quite pleasant, and make good company... Overall, the YV-745 that M.A.N.T.I.S. provided has worked rather well....for a simple transport mission... Other than being a bit ugly, it was a fun ride.....I look forward to my next assignement.....

He was in the process of leveling out the seabed when something shiny came into view. He had stumbled across a crystal forest! Not wanting to destroy such a beautiful creation of nature, Ender called in to HQ to see if the underwater base could be placed elsewhere.
