  1. UPDATE 15.02.15: New Version 1C Falcon below DeadlySpearThrowers 1a and 1b: The Griffin and the Raven Elves usually do not trust in machinery - except when it comes to giant bows. Initially designed as a ranged cavallery killer, the DST has quickly spread through the kingdoms as an all purpose war machine. Put them on your towers, put them on your ship and neither man nor beast will harm you. Mimicing color and shape of well known predators such as the griffin and the raven, the DST 1 strikes with force beyond the power of a human individual and spreads peace easily. Quickly deployed and maintenance free, it is popular amongst factions with different concepts of moral. The Raven version of the DST1 enjoys excessive use by the so-called "evil" factions, but other factions also like to employ it for nightime objectives. If this is ever becoming available on brickling mocshop, I recommend to equip your army with one of the many colors available. This is a redo of an older moc of mine, but I did not want to revive a long dead topic. Elvendale

I built all Lego elves sets that I have, and here is my Elvendale. I really like the castle (41078: Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle), it is my favorite set. Sets in the picture: 41071, 41072, 41074, 41075, 41076, 41077, 41078 and 851341.
  3. Glad to see this warzone revisited! After Arcannon Cresentthorn pledged his support to the High Council to help battle the Desert King, High Council forces set to rounding up Arcannon's brother's supporters in the Wither Woods. The first traitorous elf hit the ground hard but the second managed to hang on to the line for a few seconds. It didn't matter though as they were both restrained and marched off to Arcannon's camp for questioning. More on Flickr, C&C appreciated!

    MOC: Rivergate

This is my second entry in this universe I have devised :D The Rivergate - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/98977 Phantasy Realms The set This set is composed of a fortress like sturcture built over a river. The gates open to let the boat cross but the gates can also close trapping the unaware travellers inside. Four trapdoors open to let the captives be taken or they can also work as traps if someone invades the fortress - making the figures fall into the river. The story In order to protect the entrance to their capital city - Rainbow's End - the Wizards of Colour with the help of dwarven engineers raised a mighty fortress over the Tears of the Peak River, the only way into the magical valley where fairies and wizards dwell, among many other fantastic creatures. The wizards bought a mighty power crystal from the dwarves and draw power from the magical stone in order to activate the fortress' magical defenses. A group of sentinels dares to approach the Rivergate. They bring bad tidings... but Wizards and Elves are very suspicious of each other since the Magik Wars - a very old and long conflict between each other. Will they be able to cross the rivergate or will they fall prey to the wizard's magical trap? P.S. - first entry in phantasy realms is here - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/97483 - if you want to check it out. Cheers
  7. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96035 This is my latest/last LOTR Grey Havens project before presenting the humongous set that joins all previous ones. Description: Mithlond or the Gray Havens The Grey Havens was founded at the beginning of the Second Age by the surviving Elves of Beleriand, those who chose to remain on Middle-earth after the wars against Morgoth. It was afterwards used by the Elves to leave Middle-earth for Valinor. The Grey Havens was part of Lindon, the kingdom directly ruled by Gil-galad, last High King of the Ñoldor in Middle-earth. It was also one of the main sources for the Elven fleet of ships that sailed back and forth between Númenor and Eldamar in Aman. According to the map of Middle-earth Grey Havens's anchorage is divided into the Harlond (the "south-haven") and the Forlond ("north-haven") which occupy the southern and northern banks, respectively, of the River Lune. Because of its cultural and spiritual importance to the Elves, the Grey Havens in time became the primary Elven settlement west of the Misty Mountains prior to the establishment of Eregion and, later, Rivendell. Even after the death of Gil-galad and as the Elves dwindled in numbers by the year, The Grey Havens remained a focal point of the history in the northern part of Middle-earth. Third Age and beyondCírdan the Shipwright was the master of the Havens since its founding; Galdor of the Havens, his messenger, was among the Grey Haven's known inhabitants. Aside from Elves, Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins also went to Valinor from the Grey Havens, and a family tradition held that Sam Gamgee (having been himself a Ring-bearer, albeit briefly) did likewise, in the year 1484 of the Shire Reckoning. (Fourth Age 61) The Grey Havens still existed into the Fourth Age under Círdan but its population declined as did the elven presence in Middle-earth. It is unclear just what the Fate of the Elves of Middle-earth was in the early Fourth Age and how long Círdan or his remaining folk dwelled at the Havens and continued to build the great ships that carried the Elves to the Blessed Realm. The set: Basically I decided to portray in several mosaics the voyage of the elves to the grey havens - showing the ships sailing in sunny days, through storms, into the sunset, etc... The gate is a very tall one but it is firmly put together with the use of several plates along. And as usual I've used several motifs from my interpretation of Beleriand Architecture If you missed the previous projects you can check them out here: - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/51716 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/84919 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88866 - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96032

  9. Hey all, this is a review of the upcoming LEGO Elves Azari's Magic Fire Polybag. This is a promotional polybag given to anyone to purchase the LEGO Elves set in March 2015 on Shop@ Home. I was able to find it in Toys R Us Canada oddly enough (not on shelves but the cashier had a cart with a bunch of them). It only has 27 pieces and the minifigure is slimmer than the regular minifigures but lacks mobility in the legs. Full Review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-elves-30259-azaris-magic-fire-polybag-review/ Here are some pictures If you like the Elves theme you are in luck as I will be posting review of a bunch of the sets in the next few days!

  11. Hey all, here is my review of the first box set of the Elves theme. This is a cheap set priced at $14.99 USD. It has only 1 minifigure (minidoll) and comes with a squirrel animal. There is a little catapult you can use to shoot acorns and a panel with a key you can pull out but otherwise doesn't have much playability. It does have a bunch of new parts and some bright colored pieces that were fairly rare before. Anyways here is the full review: http://brickpreviews.com/lego-elves-41076-farran-and-the-crystal-hollow-review/ Some pics

    Warlen's Tale (Story with MOCs)

Ladies and gentlemen. Hi. Some of you (not many, I'll wager) may or may not have been following the growth of my character Warlen Melimane on the Heroica RPG. Now, it is time. This is the tale of how, so many years ago now, the tale of the Gladeborn, Warlen Melimane. And Quarion. Long ago, and by long I mean several years ago, Warlen was still living with his kind, and Quarion was still... living. Quarion was a rouge, who had come to the kingdom of the elves to help them defeat a dragon, by the name of Nebulae. He was bored for the first few days, so he took to wandering the forest, and it was by the river Darguill that the rogue met Warlen Melimane. He was practicing his wood Magic, and they soon became firm friends. On the day when he was deemed to fight Nebulae, the great dragon burned Quarion with dark flame from the pits of hell, scarring him and setting in motion events that no Elven cleric could heal without corrupting themselves. And so up came Warlen, a young Elven mage back then, and he cast a spell that meant his friend would live... with both reward and price. Despite being a Mage, not a Cleric, he did it. Somehow, impossibly, incredibly, it worked. The reward? Quarion was alive, and without his body, his mind could think freely, therefore allowing him to be amazingly intelligent. The Price? He was reduced to a floating, flaming head, and stripped of his Rougish powers. But Warlen paid a far worse price. The darkness corrupted him and his staff, so that he became a slave to the forces of dark Magyk, against his will. Thay left the Mages, and Warlen emptied his small home of all his belongings, and we began our journey. Ever since, they have traveled the land searching for cures. Authors note: I hope to update every 2 weeks at least,

    MOC: Elves and Hobbits

Hello, I wanted to design a MOC in which hobbits, elves (and the occasional dwarf) live together peacefully: Here it is. View from the other side: It is modular: With a nice bed for the hobbit inside: Hobbit is hungry: Dwarf on guard: Elves on guard: And auntie Galadriel is watching too: I hope you like it! 15. My entry into the Guilds of Historica Book II Challenge III Category B - Deceiving Elves For the Dwarves! The elves worked diligently and efficiently to help stop a dwarven invasion on Avalonia and the Drow, to prevent war and promote peace. They sent out scouts on their newly tamed wargs and built towers to detect any sign of dwarves, and to stop them. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, it all came to nothing. The dwarves secretly mined underneath their very nose, and gained entry into Avalonia, ready to take war on the Drow..." Overview: Phew! I can't believe I finished it in time! Thanks to the extension of the deadline and a canceled family gathering, I had enough time to finish my second entry into the GoH Challenge. Once again I experimented in one of Grant Davis's techniques that he created in his creation "Undermining." (If you have not checked out Grant's creation yet, what are you waiting for!? Go give it a look! ;) ) Tons of fun to build, making all the little sections of rock pieces fit together was so much fun (although very delicate)! The details on the top were also fun to add, I finally got to use my wargs! :D Even though wars in LOTR are evil, I always though they were kinda cool, so if you could tame them...they could be quite lethal and well worth the effort. ;) All in all, a decent build, there are a few more things I would have liked to try if I had more time, but deadlines are deadlines. ;) Thanks for viewing, and enjoy! Soli Deo Gloria! ~Matthew~

    Elves of Historica

I hereby present the Elves of Historica as I envision them, from across the Guilds. I've had these mostly assembled for almost a year now, but I was waiting for the new Hobbit sets to make final determinations. I am sure things will change once wave 3 of the Hobbit sets come out. I will be significantly increasing the size of the Sacred Oaks clan and the Evergreen clan once I pick up my many Mirkwood Elf Army sets. I did borrow the TMNT helmet concept from Ecc, but I already had Legolas and the Fili or Kili torso slated for Mitgardia. I knew I wanted to use the TMNT helmet somewhere, but I hadn't really considered them for Elves before. C&C Welcome!
  17. After investigating rumours of a Dwarven invasion of Avalonia, the Leanders of Historica has decided to do their part in avoiding war between Mitgardian Dwarves and Avalonian Elves. Thus, a Leander Duke has been given the task of bringing together dilpomats from both sides to discuss the situation. Perhaps reason and common understanding will still prevail? In the great hall of an Elven king, a number of Elven diplomats and nobles are gathered, as the Duke enters and bows deeply before the assembly. Leander Duke: "I am most honoured that you have graciously decided to heed my call for this meeting. A dwarven delegation is waiting for an audience, ready to discuss a solution to this... challenge. I trust you are as interested in discretion as they are?.." Elven Lord: "Were it not for friendship with your people and the trust I hold in you, I should not have allowed these dwarves within my halls... What these dwarves conspire to do is outragious! Encroaching upon our lands with weapons drawn..." Elven Diplomat: "You may rely on the discretion of anyone here... As opposed to the Dwarves, we take no part in warmongering!" Leander Duke: "Your sceptisism is understandable, but you must understand this: To the Dwarves your armistice with the Drow looks like an unholy alliance with all they despice. Like giving in to the whims of the enemy. They believe the Drow must be struck down at every single opportunity..." Elven Lord: "As should be evident to any sane mind, our armistice is nothing but a ruse to allow us to strike at a more opportune moment! We wish nothing more than to strike them back into the foul tunnels from whence they came!" Elven Lady: "Mylords, mayhaps we should hear the Dwarves out? Could not a sudden Dwarven assault upon the Drow prove a long awaited possibility to achieve our common goal and rid our lands of the Plague of our dark cousins? Elven Diplomat: "I concur..." Elven Lord: "As you wish... Let them in..." The guards open the doors, and the Dwarven delegation enters, respectfully bowing and presenting themselves in the characteristic, formal manner of their people. The elves take on their most diplomatic expressions and return the greetings respectfully. The Leander Duke steps into the background, following the conversation in silence. Elven Lord: "Welcome and well met to these halls of peace and reason... I have accepted the invitation extended by my friend the Duke, as I believe you have. In respect of him, eachother, and peace of the lands, we shall listen to what you have to say and seek a solution that will not require us to react upon your planned attack on our realms..." Dwarven Delegation Leader: "Mylord, we are honoured to be welcomed within these grand halls, and bring no desire to fight your people. Further, I must correct you - there will be no attack on your realms and I bring no declaration of war." Dwarven Elder: "Instead, we bring a declaration of peace, stating that no casualties or damage is to be caused on Elven people nor property, unless in the strictest sense of self-defense. Or in case the Elves actively sides with the Drow..." Elven Diplomat: "A most honourable thing to do. If we are to assume all Dwarven forces will adhere to this, I believe todays chances of success are reasonable..." Dwarven Leader: "We are an honourable people, and these instructions can be distributed to all forces within days, reaching them in due time for the assault on the Drow. You will find we are perfectly capable of living up to our part of the bargain... But can you live up to yours?.." Elven Lord: "I trust you are not questioning the honour of my people in our very own halls, sir!" Elven Diplomat: "I heard no such thing spoken, my lord. And you, my fine dwarves, have yet to share what our part in this plan would be..." Behind closed doors, the negotiations continue... Will these Dwarves and Elves come to an understanding, and will that agreement be accepted by their brethren? Will an invasion become reality? Will the Elves of Avalonia side with the Dwarves or rally to keep them from their lands? Are Avalonia and Mitgardia on the brink of a long and bloody war against one another, or will the Drow presence in Avalonia be stunted? And more importantly, what actions will Ravage and his minions in Nocturnus take in reaction. Evil still lures in the darkness of Nocturnus, no matter what outcome will come of the present conflict... ______________________________ C&C welcome. Hope the pictures came out ok - that will forever be my curse... And more importantly, I hope the story makes a minimum of sense! //Bregir out
  18. Wyndor's Saga: See what happened prior to this: The Laughing Dwarf At one of the passes through the mountains that stretch along the border of Avalonia and Mitgardia, a small band of elvish guards had been alerted by their spies to the fact that reneged dwarves would be trying to enter their green land to wage war and wreck mayhem. These elves were not used to the cold weather that came down from Mitgardia and filled the pass with snow. They often spent the day huddled together waiting for the evening when the next shift would take over for them and they could continue their huddling by a fire. That day had they had seen very little activity on the road. Finally a wagon made it’s way up the trail and past the guards. “Ho there!” shouted one of the elf guards. “What are you bringing into Avalonia?” The oversized man pulled back on the reigns and brought his team of horses to a halt. “Not’in here but beautifool trees from Valholl” the man said through his beard. The elves looked the cart over and under before letting the oversized man pass. “Alright, you may continue you on your journey” they said. “And may we say, these are some most magnificent trees you are transporting. It’s nice to meet someone else with good taste.” The oversized man picked up the reigns and prepared to continue. “By the way” the elf guard asked, stopping the oversized man before he could go. “Did you see anyone else behind you on your way up the pass?” “Uh… no, I was the only trooveler I could see” he answered. “Noo one was behind me.” “Alright boys,” the elf guard turned to say, “Let’s turn in early to the fire. If there was no one behind this gentleman then it will be at least an hour before a traveler would pass by.” The elves turned to head towards the camp and left the pass. The oversized man waited till the elves were far out of sight and then took off his overcoat. “A brilliant plan Rothgar!” said the upper half of the man. Three other dwarves popped their heads out of the logs and one of the asked, “Are we there yet?” “Almost,” answered Rothgar. “We’ve made it past the hardest part. Now we just need to get to the cliff so we can fire on the Drow in time!” OoC: Hopefully you'll caught that the oversized man was really two dwarves standing one on the other's shoulders. But just in case, I'll mention that here And yes, that is a Brian Regan reference in the title.
  19. It's that time of year again! The Holiday Season is fast approaching and we're already excited about the latest additions to the Winter Village from TLG: Santa's Workshop and the Winter Village Market. It's now becoming a tradition here in Town that we love to see people's own creations to add to the Winter Village, and this year is no different. Things have changed slightly, but the core of the contest is here - we'd love YOU to build us an addition the the World of Santa's North Pole Village or create buildings for other holiday characters. Does that sound limiting? Fear not! Even Santa's Village needs train stations and houses and bakeries and all the other things a non-Santa Christmas village would need so be as creative as you want. Frosty and Rudolph and other holiday characters could use their own houses and workplaces too, I think so there's a chance to be really clever if you want as well! So come on Eurobricks, what are you waiting for? Let's have some wintery fun, and show us what your Holiday Character Winter Village inspired creation is! The Rules Entries must be posted by midnight UTC, December 31st, 2014. One entry per member. Entries must be similar in size to an official release LEGO Winter Village set. Entries should be either Town-themed or Friends-themed and may include either (or both) Minifigs and Minidolls. Entries should be new (never posted anywhere previously) and be similar in style to the previous official TLG releases. All entries are to include only real LEGO. No clone brands, 3rd party parts, or digital entries allowed. Decals will be allowed if you've made them yourself, but no cutting, sculpting or modifying parts. Entries are to be placed in their own entry topic in the Town forum. The title of the topic should begin with "Winter Village: " and then give the name of the entry. The entry post (first post in your entry topic) may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. Entries are to consist of no more than 5 posted pictures of 1024x768 pixels or smaller resolution but may also include a link to a folder of additional images of any size. Photos of your creation can be manipulated with Photoshop for levels, proportions and color correction but may not include graphic enhancements. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. 20. Hi all, This is my entry for this marvellous end of year contest. I made a little house for elves which is on a side of a big rock. This rock was modified by the elves to add a bread oven in a part of it. After that, they constructed a small house to be just aside the oven. I was inspired by old farm here (in east of France) because many ot them had a bread oven 50 years ago. Unfortunatelly today a lot of them has disappeared. I worked hard on the snow because I would like to give it a real shape with curves and some snowslides on the second part of the roof because of the wind. I also add a light brick in the oven, with a "key" to turn it on or off. The key is hidden in the rock. Have a great end of year, thanks for reading. link to the album on photobucket : http://s204.photobuc...village contest
  21. Hello fellow AFOL Few days ago I decided to build something with the content of 21116 Crafting Box. I wanted to follow my "builder instinct" No instructions. I ended up building a sort of bridge. It looked suited for some Fantasy scene. I added few more bricks and I created this little MOC. I know it's not a great one but I had very limited resources for this project. Also this is my first MOC after a very long (about 10 years) absence from the Lego hobby, so any comment, feedback, criticism is highly appreciated. Anyway, here is a background story" for the diorama: "The Elves rule the Kingdom with wisdom and justice, bringing order and peace among the Land. Or so they claim. There are those who consider them invaders forcing their traditions and believes on the subjugated populations. Sometimes it’s hard to discern the hero from the villain, the savior from the conqueror. When doubt and contempt are paired with weapons and powerful magic, it can mean only one thing: war. The number of the insurgents grows each day. Operating clandestinely to avoid the inquisitive scrutiny of the “Open Eye”, one of the most dreaded Elven organizations, they fight to overthrow the current rulers. In a desperate attempt to capture the Elf Queen and force the Monarchy to sign a treaty, the rebels hired the infamous outlaw known as “Golden Terror” and the legendary “Clumsy Ninja”. By skills, bribes and a lot of luck they managed to sneak inside the “Temple of Five Seasons”. Relying on greater numbers the rebels plan to succeed but it won’t be an easy task. The Queen’s guard is one of the most skillful warriors, wielding a weapon that is stuff of legend and the Queen herself is a powerful mage. Who will prevail in this epic confrontation? " You can see more, high resolution, photos on my blog MOC: Protecting the Queen
  22. Hello! This is my first post and my first completed MOC! I have been lurking here for a while now, marveling at everyones amazing work and figured it was time to give it a try. I think I posted the pics at the right size and all that (please let me know if I didn't!) Anyways, I think the MOC speaks for itself but it's just a recreation of the Nativity of Jesus with Tolkien characters (elves, dwarves, hobbits, Earendil playing the role of the Christmas star, etc) Enjoy! 1 by fangorn_treebeard22, on Flickr earendil by fangorn_treebeard22, on Flickr Holy Family by fangorn_treebeard22, on Flickr There are a few more pics on my Flickr. Feedback is greatly appreciated! Merry Christmas!
  23. I made a bunk house for Santa's Elves to coordinate with Santa's workshop. Since I am leaving to see my grandchildren tomorrow I can't wait for my impending bricklink to furnish the kitchen and put a ping pong table on the first floor. Originally I wanted the bunks to be greens on the left and reds on the right, but since the tiles didn't arrive the Elves' beds are more individual. Each elf represents one of my grandchildren.

  25. Getting into Avalonia was not going to be easy, but dwarves are resourceful....and a brainstorm session can yield some great ideas! Raven Darksight was contemplating how to lead a group of his Dwarven Army into Avalonia, but those elves seem to notice everything. There has to be a way in to get past those elves! Ibun, son Mim spoke up, "I got it! We all know how Elves love the forest and the trees right?" "Aye!" "Well, all we need to do is have Rowyn and Bowyn dress up like a tree. They wander over near those Elves and start yelling 'Oi, Me leaves hurt, me branches hurt! Please help!' We know that those Elves won't be able to resist helping out a tree." "Stupid Elves, they'll probably still be munching on their croissants and sniffing their flowers while rush over to help the tree too!" "Yeah, then we sneak by and we can hold some leaves to hide us!" "Yeah, stupid elves!" They all laughed as they pictured those stupid elves sniffing flowers and helping out the tree in distress. If this doesn't work, nothing will!
