The subject today is Donnie Bricko, M.A.N.T.I.S Engineer level 6 clearance. ID number CLASSIFIED. Begin with subject... Hello Donnie Hello? Where am I? You are currently involved in a M.A.N.T.I.S. social testing experiment. This will be a test, you must answer one question in order to end the simulation. The question: What are you? That is a simple question, I am a M.A.N.T.I.S. Engineer. Yes you are, however that is not the correct answer to the question. You must take in your environment to determine the correct answer. Okay, so it's a riddle...I don't really see anything here except the ground. Am I a lonely Engineer? It is a riddle of sorts. No you are not a lonely Engineer. Let me give you a hint? Wait, what? Are those sticks?..they look like giant chop sticks! Huh? You are clever, how about another quick hint? Um, that's definately giant sushi...yuck! Yes, keep going. Well I'm on a giant plate of sushi, but what am I? Am I dinner? No, no...Think in more simple terms Im on a giant plate but I'm not food...what am I? What the hell am I? Hmm... Well I'm plastic and I'm on a plate. Wait, am I a minifig on a plate?? Yes, you are in fact a minifig on a plate...congratulations the simulation will now end! Location: A06 - Guinevere Tags: Exploration, Engineering My first mission back I was dispatched to Guinevere. Objective, build a mobile research platform for our scientists and gather several samples from the heart of the lava. After several days I've amassed several samples but my scientist has yet to arrive. Well I keep climbing and gathering, grueling work but well worth it. - D

Location: F02 - Lesser Drigo Tags: Land Vehicle, Spying Vedauwoo and I have been dispatched to Lesser Drigo for a quick spying mission. Our job is simple, ride out and locate Octan climate control towers and affix wireless M.A.N.T.I.S. tech which will allow us to track and even take control of the devices. We hopped aboard our two man bike and dusted off in to the desert. - D

Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Military, Building Based on my previous build Long Range Strike Tensions on Arium Major are high, Kawashita/Octan relations have broken down over the past few weeks. Several Kawashita patrols have been ambushed and Octan sabotaged a communication station. Kawashita engineers and military personnel have been dispatched to the surface to construct a long range missile station. It's time to take the fight to Octan. With the station assembled it was time to strike. Targets have been acquired, lock the locations and let the rockets fly! -D -

Location: E02 Jurin II Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship Based on this build by mediumsnowman. Excerpt from the M.A.N.T.I.S. Pilot's Equipment Guide, Version 7.1 The M.A.N.T.I.S. M204 Personnel Transport is designed to move troops and equipment short to moderate distances. The ship is powered by the M.A.N.T.I.S. LD400 triple frame awesomenium reactor with an upgraded hyperdrive sequencer and is equipped with heavy armor, advanced blaster shield tech and duel burst proton cannons. Capacity without cargo is 16 personnel and two pilots. Donnie Bricko is not happy about sitting in the middle. The ramps fold down and top and side sections come off to reveal the interior... Location: F03 - Forring Tags: Land Vehicle, Exploration Back on Forring with a new assignment. There are several areas of the forest on this planet that have gone unexplored by M.A.N.T.I.S.. It's time to learn more about this planet. Several of us have been sent out in M.A.N.T.I.S. XT Core 7 Gorilla Exo Suits to navigate the dense forest areas. Several hours after departing I began to discover a path through the forest where many of the trees have been downed. As I followed the path I discovered a body dangling from one of the trees along the path. It appears that Octan has been exploring this area and are probably responsible for the pathway as the body is definitely human, and wearing an Octan uniform. I need to make note of the coordinates and report this back to HQ. - D

Location: C06 - Hyreal Tags: Land/Air Vehicle, Spying I've been dispatched to Hyreal to join a spy/infiltration mission. M.A.N.T.I.S. has managed to confiscated a Kawashita supply steamship on Hyreal in an attempt to infiltrate their operations. The plan is to get a man inside on the next delivery. Everything looks normal as we approach, time to see if the plan will work. Steam Ship - D

Location: F03 - Forring Tags: Vehicle, Spying Back to work on another spying mission. I've been dispatched to Forring with a small M.A.N.T.I.S. security force to locate and tag several Octan satellite launches that are preparing to lift off. Thus far we've received little resistance or security. - D

[M - B06] Reestablishing M.A.N.T.I.S. Communications on Sorn

Location: B06 - Sorn Tags: Land Vehicle, Engineering After being away on spying missions against Octan, I almost forgot how much I dislike Kawashita. That dislike was quickly resurrected upon my return to Sorn. All of the work our engineering core put in on Sorn creating mining and communication operation facilities has been destroyed by the Kawas. Well were back to rebuild and own this planet again. We started by establishing some communication stations and remapping the islands via satellites. I was able to construct a small comm station, now I'm on to the next island to continue the work. - D -
Location: F03 - Forring Tags: Spying, Land Vehicle Well, Ceil and I continue our spying sweep on Forring. Our current mission has us documenting and planting tracers on Octan Driller Drones that are releasing pockets of Awesomenium. This isn't a difficult mission as these drones are not manned or secured, typical Octan arrogance. We were able to locate and track seven drones without resistance. Location: H03 Kaalin Tags: Spying, Land Vehicle My first spying mission...after two weeks of R & R, I complete the rigorous M.A.N.T.I.S. spy training. I was dispatched with Ceil an experienced M-spy to the planet Kaalin. Our mission was to determine how Octan is cultivating and find their water supply lines. Based on satellite photos we were able to pinpoint our first location. We arrived and surveyed from a health distance. We realized that the location wasn't secured by any Octan security. I wanted to get a closer look to the chagrin of Ceil, she insisted that it wasn't a good idea but reluctantly followed me. She was right, as we were inspecting the generator and condensation unit, an Octan speeder pulled in. We ducked for cover hoping that the pilot would fail to notice us. He filled his barrels and sped off. Time for us to collect as much intel as we can and get outta here. Octan Speeder -D

Location: D-10 The Hamilton Belt Tags: Land Vehicle, Exploration After exploring several of the asteroids in The Hamilton Belt, M.A.N.T.I.S. scientists found rich Awsomeonium deposits on Asteroid C7B11. I am heading up a mission to drill on C7B11 using a heavy ground drilling rig. We landed successfully on the asteroid, now it's time to have some drilling fun. - D

Tags: Exploration, Science, Vehicle Location: D10 - The Hamilton Belt This week we're being led by the M.C.F. Scythe Exploration ship on a space expedition through The Hamilton Belt. My mission is to accompany a small Science crew to the surface of one large asteroid aboard the Pod Surface Explorer. Due to the unknown hazards I will be aboard the Pod to handle any mechanical issues that may occur to ensure that the mission is a success. We landed on the cluster without incident, but several hours in to the mission one of the landing supports was damaged by a small rock cluster that broke free. I suited up, tethered myself and repaired the damage. Hopefully these scientists get the drilling done soon, I'm ready to get back to the fleet and get some rest. - D

Location: C10 Marden Tags: Military, Building After scouting the surface of Marden for rival corporation facilities we discovered that our intellegnece was correct. Kawashita had established several communication centers on the surface. M.A.N.T.I.S. was prepared for military operations to take Marden if necessary. A short range missile station was completed to carry out the operation and destroy the Kawa facilities. I was dispatched with my team to the station when there were complications and system malfunctions. My team worked diligently to get the systems up and running. Time to watch the fireworks. - D

Location: C10 Marden Tags: Land Vehicle, Exploration, Building Finally I get a mission where I can get some alone time. The council sent me to Marden to scout for resources and rival corporations activity. I landed on the surface and uncrated the new M.A.N.T.I.S. Snow Speeder. Time to take it for a spin...the conditions are perfect. It didn't take long to find some Kawashita activity, it appears to be a communication station of some sort. Location: A08 Crentium Tags: Vehicle Land, Building, Research M.A.N.T.I.S. outpost, Crentium. We've found it difficult at best to locate natural resources on this planet. Engineers have been dispatched to build several outposts for resource scouting, drilling and soil testing. I am returning from another trip with unsuccessful results. And of course Caro is lounging as usual. - D

With all M.A.N.T.I.S. engineers being hailed for ship design, Donnie Bricko had the chance to bring one of his prototype plans to life. The Greentail Spacehawk, a craft designed to be light weight with extreme maneuverability and abundant firepower. Initial field test have proven this craft to be a successful design and formidable opponent to any threat brought upon M.A.N.T.I.S. -D -
Location: D04 - Terrial Minor Tags: Building, Vehicle, Land Vehicle, After our Equipment Malifunction in the desert, we were stranded without communications. Luckily the emergency beacon on the sand buggy automatically actived when the tire went up in flames. The MANTIS base camp dispatched a drone to rescue us and return us to safety. Location: Terrial Minor - D04 Tags: Exploration, Land Vehicle Here we are on Terrial Minor exploring. Ugh, I'm not happy in the hot desert especially when your surrounded by dozens of different types of alien species. Making it worse is the fact that we know very little about most of the creatures, they could be aggressive, predatory or just rabid. Sure some could be friendly but I'm not taking any chances. We should be okay if we keep moving, but guess what we just got stuck. And I smell smoke!!! The wheel is on fire, NOT GOOD. Worse there are some kind of flying bugs coming out of the ground...I gotta get this fire out so we can get the heck out of here before it's too late... Location B06 - Sorn Tags: Engineering, Mining, Vehicle Operation low hanging fruit: M.A.N.T.I.S. explorers discovered several deposits of Awesomnium in the shallows of Sorn near a small cluster of islands in the southern hemisphere. I was dispatched with a mining group to establish a collection platform. The Awesomnium is bountiful in this location. We've been collecting for days and have much more to gather before we can move on. Underwater collection miners fill the Awesomnium barrels which are moved to a larger island facility by amphibious wagons where they are prepped to be moved off of the planet. M.A.N.T.I.S. Location: Sector D03 - Terrial Major Tags: Exploration Mission Terrial Major - I've been dispatched to the surface to find an ideal location to construct a barracks and science encampment. This is a two man mission and I've been assigned a rookie, Mal Decko to accompany me to the surface. Upon approach Mal noticed some debris near the mountains. We circled the area again and we could clearly see some debris with the Octan logo exposed. "Mal, let's touch down and get a closer look," I said "Are you sure Donnie, it could be dangerous!" he replied "Not to worry, I'll go in alone and be certain that I will be cautious." As I approached the debris something didn't quite feel right. Then the ground began to tremble and boom, two large tenticles burst from the ground with a rush of water. Uh-oh time to get outta here and quick. As I scampered back to the ship I realized how lucky I was to escape from whatever that creature was. And that explains what happened to the Octan equipment. - D

Location: C04 - Aeristus Tags: Building, Military, Science, Civil To establish a presence on Aeristus M.A.N.T.I.S explorers were dispatched to the surface. They discovered that the sub soil on is ideal for soycabbage crops. The crops need to be protected from the atmosphere in order to thrive. A small team of soldiers and engineers were sent to clear an area of grasses covering a rich plot and build a greenhouse. A military presence and defenses are required to ensure the horticulture teams' safety. Shot without the greenhouse dome with a view of the soycabbages. - D

Location: Sector A04 - Mynderis Tags: Building, Military After the scouts returned from the surface of Mynderis, the core of engineers were dispatched to establish mining, research and communication centers. My team was moved to a surface location that is roughly flat and void of alien activity. Here we constructed the long rage communication and research center. All communication sectors have establied channels with our unit. Research can now begin on the lava formations where trace amounts of Awesomnium are being detected on the surface. This could be a potential future mining operation as well. In the next days the Military and Science experts with take over the location and I will be dispatched on my next mission. - D
