  1. My newest character build, The Dean of Unseen University from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld books: The Dean's fat, vicious and hungry for food and power. He's also prone to external influences, and made a leather coat with "Born to rune" written on it during the onslaught of Music With Rocks In. It's naturally included here. With my previous Discworld character build, Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully: More on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy!
  2. In my City Wall project I have missed some stuff showing here. not to faal too far behind I give you the City Wall - Dimensions section. In a fantasy era wonderous gates to new realms are reality. You just might find yourself somewhere in Ankh-Morpork. This is just a simple module but was a lot of fun designing and building. 3. An updated version of the Small God's Cemetery just in time for the 25th of May, a special day to most Terry Pratchett/ Discworld fans around the globe. Each year on the 25th of may a small commemoration takes place at the Small God's Cemetery honoring the casualties of the Glorious Revolution wearing lilac and occasionaly a hard-boiled egg. Commander Vimes, Sgt Colon, Cpl Nobby Nobbs and C.M.O.T. Dibbler stand in front of the entrance. Reg Shoe just wakes up from his yearly nap in his grave and at the back we find Lord Vetinari not admitting to anything let alone sentiment. 4. Just for fun (and to decorate my bookshelf), I made my own Discworld Witches Collectible Minifigures. From left to right : - Granny Weatherwax, - Tiffany Aching, - Magrat Garlick, - Agnes Nitt, - Nanny Ogg, - Erzulie Gogol. Don't hesitate to expand the spoiler area to look at the close-ups. C&C welcome! P.S: sorry for Granny being out of focus in the group shop - I I guess she doesn't like to have her picture taken and deliberately stepped out of the focus area! [MOC] Mustrum Ridcully Bust

Here's my newest Discworld build, bust of current Archchancellor of Unseen Univeristy, Mustrum Ridcully. I've built the character in normal scale couple of times, and this bust project is rather old too - it began in autumn 2016 and was on top of a self for over two years... But when I moved recently, I decided to finally finish it, as it looked quite promising. Here's the results. I'm particularly pleased with the facial features and the expression. The beard is bit plain, but it was a conscious choice to reduce the visual noice on the model - it's a large creation, after all. As on the reference books, the hat as couple of drawers to hold fishing hooks and stuff, and there are few hand-tied lure flies stuck to it. More photos and stuff on Cyclopic Bricks.

    [MOC] Sergeant Detritus

Sergeant Detritus, succesfull troll officer in Ankh-Morpork City Watch, head of recruit division and the cultural attacheé of Ankh-Morpork. Sergeant needed his muscular chestplate, toeless watch boots and clockwork cooling helmet; He also wields his siege crossbow The Piecemaker, a weapon of mass destruction. More photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  7. These two are among the most beloved Discworld characters - Esmerelda "Granny" Weatherwax and Gytha "Nanny" Ogg. Granny has her pointy hat full of hatpins, big iron boots and bump-starting broom. The details of the cloak are somewhat inspired by Paul Kidby's art. Nanny has her wide grin, red boots and a banjo to accompany the dreaded Hedgehog song. These two were on a WIP stage for a year or so. Not the hardest build ever, but it was somewhat challenging to capture the essence of these characters in brick. They will be displayed in Worldcon in Helsinki next week, too. More photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks, as always.

    City Gate

After having build the Lekpoort (Gate to the river Lek) for an exibition in Vianen (NLD) I took apart the landscape but deciided to keep the gate building itself. I liked it a lot and thought it would work well in a new modular project. It is now part of the old citywall of Ankh-Morpork. To preserve its heritage I kept the twon flag. Also the small top tower has been added to keep up with the current looks of the building. the wall is expendable according to the MILS standards. i created my own standard for the wall to make it easier to connect other modules and keep them in line. [MOC] Bursar

Good so be would you if, duff plum of helping second A. Bursar (by Sir Terry Pratchett) My newest character from Discworld, Bursar the crazy wizard. The main idea here was to capture a glint of his madness with unlevel eyes. I also managed to include details from different books, like bare feet (Reaper Man), crossbow bolt (Moving Pictures) and new jar of dried frog pills (Hogfather). More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  12. The Lecturer of Recent Runes, a member of the Senior Faculty of Unseen University, the greatest magical university in Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Not very important character in the books, but I the UU wizards are my favorites, so important part of my task to build Ridcully's faculty. More on Cyclopic Bricks.

    [MOC] Lu-Tze

Lu-Tze, or The Sweeper, is an old, wrinkly, bald smiling man, master of martial arts and sort of a policeman of time. But mostly just a sweeper. Based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  15. The old-fashioned backbone of Ankh-Morpork Police force - Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St John "Nobby" Nobbs and Sergeant Frederick Colon. These two are among the most iconic Discworld character, so I had to build them! More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  16. Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson of Ankh-Morpork. Strong, honest and honourable man with a plain yet sharp sword. An another character from Discworld. Flat silver curved slopes enabled me to make Carrot's shiny breastplate. More photos on Cyclopic Bricks.

    [MOC] Cohen the Barbarian

It's the time of the year when old bearded chap travels from house to house... Stealing the treasures, taking the virgins and killing the monsters... It's of course Cohen the Barbarian, Disc's most infamous barbarian hero! Cohen's 90-something and haven't managed to get killed; Decades on barbarian business have made him tough. He leads his Silver Horde of equally aged heroes and does what he's always done. He's the last old-school hero. This is based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett; Especially on Paul Kidby's image on the cover of The Last Hero. More images on the blog! And Merry Christmas to every one of you!
  18. Especially for the CCCXIII I finished the Troll Bridge. It is now 216 studs long, 32 wide en 90 bricks high, measuring 68 inch long, 34 inch tall. There are 7 separate modules so it is possible to make a shorter bridge. MOC: Rincewind & The Luggage

My latest Discworld MOC featuring two of the first characters on the series, coward wizard Rincewind and his magical chest monster The Luggage, both appearing in Color of Magic from 1983. Rincewind is based on Paul Kidby's impression. The Luggage's design was pretty universal; I'm especially happy how the teeth and the tongue turned out. More can be found on my blog. Enjoy.

    MOC: Commander Vimes

My newest Discworld build (which are both here and the Other Themes Subforum...), The next Discworld character is Sir Samuel Vimes, His Excellency, His Grace Duke of Ankh, The Blackboard Monitor and the Commander of Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Sam is here in his trusted old Night Watch uniform with dim and rugged breastplate, slightly rusty chainmail and second-hand boots. I also built a baton as it felt like suitable copper accessory. More can be found on the blog. Enjoy!

    MOC: Susan Sto Helit

Susan Sto Helit, granddaughter of Death and the substitute Grim Reaper from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel Soul Music. I threwn in The Death of Rats too. That felt necessary. More on Cyclopic Bricks. Enjoy!
  23. Last Thursday, 12th of March 2015, world lost one of its greatest writers, Sir Terry Pratchett. This creation is dedicated to his memory. Mustrum Ridcully, the Archchancellor of Unseen University, is my favourite Discworld character. This creation was result of two days of intense building, beginning with the beard and finishing with the hunting crossbow. There are more photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
