  1. Hello everyone, some time ago i got amazed when i saw the lego trains, and after a long time watching thems i wondered, if there was any lego technic train, so i decided to search, and i didnt find any one,i ve just found some trains on internet, but none really a technic model, so i wanted to make one by myself, so here it goes: This is the main idea its to have a fully working lego technic train, i wanted to make it to work without rails (because it would be to hard to make or buy them), it would work like a crane like movement. The whole model isnt very good because i had almost no time to make it, the idea its to have 2 bogie motors, both powered and steerable, i have used normal wheels with tires, because normal lego train wheels arent enough big or grippier, also the profile and the look wouldnt work, so i made this: The bogies would be powered by XL motors in the frame (from the green part) and rotated by servos, the drivetrain its like a normal truck rear transmission (but without suspension), differentials are to prevent damage to the axles during turning: And this is a picture showing how it would work: I know this model is really ugly and simple, but is because i hadnt time and im first designing the working parts, there are obviously some strength problems, but i will do my best and i will keep working on it to make it better (and maybe bigger), any suggestion for an improvement or ideas are welcome (sorry if i have a wrong spelt or misused word). Thanks.
  2. Carnage on the Bluecoats' fort! The evil sea monster pirates are attacking the bluecoats from the sea. The first evil act is underwater, where a soldier is drowning whilst being attacked by a hideous monster. One soldier is attacking the emerging monsters from the fort's rum cellar, whilst above, the pirate monster captain battles a fellow soldier. The next act of evil is another soldier being decapitated. One sea creature has spilt a barrel of rum on the second floor. With his torch, he sets it alight, causing a raging inferno. Down in the armoury, a soldier can't keep in his fear of the disgusting green sea creature chasing him, whilst another is putting on a brave face and snatches a cutlass from the rack. Meanwhile, one soldier is being burnt alive. Finally, this soldier is at the wrong side of the cannon. A link to the LXF can be found here. Thanks for looking and please vote for me!
  3. Hi, I have been looking at gameplay of the Lego Worlds game for PC on the web and wondered if it was possible to export vehicles/other models to lxf / lxfml files. I decided to try to build some models, starting with vehicles first, I have also noticed that some models are actually from official sets. So I opned those in LDD and checked the accuracy compared to in lego worlds, and it matched 100% Other (2 or 3) vehicles are partially based on existing sets I then decided it would be cool & useful to actually purchase Lego Worlds. The game is excellant however. you can only export basic bricks to a lxfml file currently (this is also the same story with imprting from LDD to the game). Assumably more brick support will be added in later versions of the game. Never the less, Here is the collection of models in the current progress http://bricksafe.com...ipe/lego-worlds Heres some examples of cood models: More to come shortly! Regards, Snipe
  4. I'm building a SD40 In LDD but i can't put plates on bricks with knobs on the side? I'm sure its possible but i don't know why and I searched for tutorials on youtube but i can't find answers there. Im pretty new to LDD and i only know the basics. I hope someone can help me.
  5. Leaving from Kings Cross' Platform 9 & 3/4 to Hogsmeade Station at exactly 9 AM, this train carries students (and sometimes faculty) to and from Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft & Wizardry in the Harry Potter series of books and movies. NOTE: Students leaving school (for reasons including Christmas vacation or expulsion) are subject to leaving on the Hogwarts express. The Express is made up of four corridor coaches though sometimes a special fifth coach is attached with an open floor plan. The train is supplied with all kinds of goodies and sweets, from Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans to Chocolate Frogs. The locomotive is a 4-6-0 (that means 4 leading, 6 driving, 0 trailing) Hall class steam engine built by the Great Western Railway and later used by Hogwarts Railways. It is named Hogwarts Castle and numbered 5972, which is something of an irony as the Hall class is closely related to the Castle class of steam engines, so "It's the Hall that thinks it's a Castle". Four BR Mark 1 coaches painted in Hogwarts Railways colors. The coaches include two corridor coaches, one corridor guard's coach, and a baggage coach. The end car is not accurate the the films, but it is what I prefer compared to the alternative: a gangway leading nowhere with no red light on the end. This locomotive is a heavily modified version of LDDModelmaker's Black 5 model with some parts from set 79111, Constitution Train Chase. The numbers 5 9 7 2 go on the sides of the tender... it's not prototypical, I know, but it works well enough. The tender features a three wheeled bogie design modified from the one in Anthony Sava's famed ALCO MRS-1. The middle axle moves side to side, as to allow going through switches and curves without issue. The sideways stripes are also a Sava inspired feature, and are derived from his American 4-6-0. Hogsmeade Station (Version 1) This station is the terminus for the Hogwarts Express on it's school-ward journey. The platform is four tracks long, with the possibility of adding more sections due to the modular design. Their are two end-caps, two platforms and one station structure. Four benches are also included on the platform sections. This part is supposed to be on the tan 1x4 sign out front ( http://www.bricklink...asp?P=2431pb022 ) but LDD doesn't have the print. The inside features a ticket desk, and post box on the lower floor, while the upper floor features a station masters office space with a desk on the right side, and a switch / signal machine on the left. Two fireplaces (one per floor) keep the building nice and cozy during those cold winter days. These models are grouped separately in the LDD file: 2 Platform end-caps 1 Platform, left 1 Platform, right 1 Station, ground level 1 Station, second floor, 1 station roof Here is the street side. Notes: This model is based off of the building in set 10132, Hogwarts Express, from 2004. (motorized edition) The LEGO Digital Designer files for the Hogwarts Express train cars, Hogwarts Castle locomotive, & Hogsmeade station are available here: Hogwarts Express train coaches: http://www.mocpages....1426728491m.lxf Hogwarts Castle 5972 steam locomotive: http://www.mocpages....1426728306m.lxf Hogsmeade Station: http://www.mocpages....1412793766m.lxf Thank you for reading. [LDD MOC] Modular Archer HQ

I don't know how many of you watch FX's Archer, but I love the show, and of course I just had to make it digitally in LEGO and as a modular building, so it will fit in with any city layouts, in theory. For those of you who don't follow the show, Archer is a spy-comedy about a spy agency named ISIS. It lampoons James Bond and all other sorts of things. The exterior of the building. As you can see, it also has the parking garage. Let's move onto the characters (left to right): Sterling Archer, our womanizing functioning alcoholic lead; Lana Kane, Archer's on-off again girlfriend and their kid AJ, and her twin SMGs; Malory Archer, Archer's overbearing mother and spy master, along with her scoped pistol; Cyril Figgis, the comptroller; Cheryl/Carol Tunt and her ocelot Babou, also includes a microphone for when she sings as Cherlene; Pam Poovey, the HR head and her dolphin puppet. Dr. Krieger, the crazy German doctor/scientist and one of the Pigglys and his "jazz hands"; Ray Gillette, the flamboyant spy who loses the ability to walk but regains it thanks to Krieger; Woodhouse, Archer's butler; Bilbo, the overweight tech support; Krieger clone; Krieger's Virtual Girlfriend Bobby, Archer's arch nemesis and cyborg who works for the KGB for sometime; Katya, Archer's ex-fiance who also becomes a cyborg; and Popeye, the man who runs the laundromat on the first floor of the building. Next we have Krieger's van, which changes color throughout the series as they get destroyed. Ray's wheelchair The garage where employees can park their cars, with removable roof. Only the first floor is accessible. The laundromat, with sliding door for the hidden elevator The next floors are attached and at the top is Krieger's lab, which can be accessed by the elevator. It includes a tank to put the Krieger clone in. The armory and gun range is on the next floor and stocked with various weapons. Finally we have the office floor. It has all of the main rooms I could fit, and many are smaller than the show just to have everything fit. You can see from left to right: Malory's office, Cheryl's desk, the breakroom/torture room, and the mainframe. On the other side (left to right) we have the computer room where Bilbo works, Cyril's office and Pam's office. Enjoy!
  7. Since these are not real bricks, maybe this series cannot enter the contest officially. Even then, it was fun designing them. Avalonian minifigs: Elf sorceress The elves of the Enchanted Forest often call the help of great spirits. The Green Knight A hedge knight dressed (almost) all in green. He thinks a little high on himself, but surely skilled with his spear. If you can win him for your cause, he will be a great help – until he finds another, even greater cause! Rebel noble lady Priscilla is tired of being the well-educated and polite daughter of an Avalonian nobleman, and prefers sneaking outside wandering in the forest and practicing with her crossbow. Falconer This fine bird is a skilled hunter if you know how to handle it. Its beak and claws are sharp, wear gloves! Migardian minifigs: Tundra warrior They live in the land of forever ice. The harsh weather made them though; they fight even with polar bears, when it is necessary – what else, do you think, is their weapon made of? The klan leader's wife Even in the cold climate, the 1st lady has to be elegant. Cheers! Miner Working in the mines is exhausting, but the people of Historica need the resources, so he doesn’t complain. Gunpowder expert Some clever dwarfs discovered that some gifts of the earth can be combined into something...exploding! Throw that flaming barrel before it goes KA-BOOM! Kaliphlin minifigs: Jungle warrior In the jungle of Gorr, people dress lightly. The tribe’s females are not less dangerous than the males. With their whip they can travel fast between the trees, and they are deadly with the knife! Sea captain Come aboard and travel with my merchant ship (okay, I’m just an employee of the Petraea Merchant Company) all over Historica and see what wonderful items are harvested or produced in distant lands. Red face of Death These assassins can sneak into every fortress and eliminate the guards without a sound. Whoever saw them and is alive to speak, remembers only a few red streaks. Astronomer The pass of seasons is important for the agriculture, and this wise man is responsible for telling it. Nocturnus minifigs: Cyclops baby Ooooh, you are a cute little monster, you! And look, what a lovely toy bear scorpion you have! Lady in the lake She “lives” in a hidden lake in the heart of Nocturnus. Every man who is unlucky enough to go near the lake, will be enchanted by her beauty. But only for a few seconds, before he hears a slash… Torturer This dirty scum enjoys hurting other people. So his profession as an “interrogator” matches him perfectly. Whatever you know, you will tell him. Even those you don’t know! Bug soldier Not the brightest creatures, but you can hire a swarm of them pretty cheaply. They are easy to replace since the breed like..hmm...flies.

    Christmas Market

Hi everyone, I guess Black Friday is a good day to show you this digital creation. It is a small Christmas Market with some stalls and happy costumers.I hope you'll like it. And an extra picture: I tried to make a more detailed Santa as the official one. (I didn't want to open a topic just for this one picture)
  9. Today I thought, that I should share this spaceship here, because despite its flaws (it may look a bit boring and repetitive) I think, that it's still a pretty decent ship, which fits into this part of the forum (here are already some Rock Raider MOCs). This post is similar to the one, that I have made on rockraidersunited, but without the development of rather bad pictures to pictures, that I have made in POV-Ray etc. XD, but since I haven't uploaded all pictures on flickr yet, there is still some stuff in the rru-thread, that isn't here (like a separate model of the bridge): http://www.rockraide...file-available/ I will also post 4 other MOCs (3 smaller LMS Explorer models and one action-figure MOC) on eurobricks :). 10. It is easy to find something on Ord Mantell. As long as you’re looking for something that hasn’t been destroyed yet. The facility we’re headed to is surrounded by junk, and seems to be mostly built with junk. But still, it has something… different. It seems like the one place on this planet where something constructive is happening. Approaching a free space that seems supposed to be a landing platform, that thought becomes contradictive. This constructivism seems to come forth from destruction. Yes, the equipment seems to be made from old parts, nothing fancy here. And the facility seems to be made to recycle the pieces of junk that have replaced the planet’s vegetation. That explains why this facility is a concurrent to that… cancer on Fondor. There, they squeeze the planet out, not caring about the consequences. Here, they relieve the planet. For once, industry makes me happy. But the ominous absence of employers, the lack of movement and the complete silence remind me of the reason why we’re here. We’re here to find this constructivism probably destroyed… As the cloud of dust settles from our landing, probably the only living human in the environment approaches. A lone, shadowy figure. “We’re here to investigate the murder of your employer” There’s no escaping the truth. “Investigate? No one ever comes here to investigate! This is Ord Mantell. Half of us don’t even know what the word ‘police’ even means. But alright, I don’t want to mess with you. I hope you Imperials will punish the Rebels for what they did. The crime scene is this way. I’m the janitor by the way” Since the facility has no hover platforms, we walk. On the left, giant chaotic heaps of junk. On the right, neatly stacks of cubic blocks of metal. We ascend a riding maintenance platform to have a better view of the heart of this part of the facility. [soNE Ep. VI] 3 - Just another horror by Bert.VR, on Flickr “The trash compactor here is where it happened. The Rebels must have used this very platform to drop their victims in it. A technician once told me there’s a scanner in the machine that measures composition of whatever is in it. That’s to keep the metal pure, and it should prevent people getting caught in the machine as well. But those murderers were prepared, and as far as I can tell, they overwrote the system. Their victims died a horrible dead…” Atrocious. The bounty hunter could just have shot the boss. Maybe he thought that wouldn’t deliver his message clearly enough. No, he disposed of his victim as if the human was nothing more than a piece of junk. And in an act of perverse symbolism, he used this machine that gives new life to the junk to take the life of something as beautiful as a human. A human that once had conceived this great facility, that had tried to give a new life to this planet, hope to the people. And now he’s just another victim… No, it can’t be true… “And why? The boss was a good man. And his family … they didn’t even deserve a worthy dead.” Words fail me. Thoughts fail me. Goatm does the talking. He doesn’t seem to be affected at all. “How do you know it were the Rebels?” “They left a datapad behind, probably the one they used to overwrite the system. I haven’t had a closer look, but it is just too obvious. We don’t need an investigation. And who else would do this? Aren’t those terrorists the only ones who should commit such atrocities? Aren’t they the only beasts that are cruel enough? No one dares to come to work anymore, this might be a sign. I don’t know why, but it seems they want this facility closed. Maybe to prevent people having the means to defend themselves. But only they would be cruel enough to take away the hope of all the workers. I’m the only one left, just looking around to see if something could be of further use…” “Still, you can have no objection for my colleague taking a closer look here. I would like to have a word with you in the meantime.” I descend the platform, still baffled. The two are heading somewhere else with the platform. I can’t get over it. Some moments ago, I despised the bounty hunter, but I thought he wasn’t the only one to blame. There were still the people who gave him the task. If they hadn’t given it, he wouldn’t have done it. But now… murdering the family of the target could never have been the assignment. He did it for no reason, purely for the pleasure that gave him. The murdered boss was a businessman. He knew there were risks to what he did. He could have taken precautions. But his family… they had never taken the risk. Yet the bounty hunter took them, and killed them in the most atrocious way for absolutely no reason. This is no war. This is no job. This is plain murder. Of the most atrocious kind. But this bounty hunter, this plain murderer, he got away with it. Nobody suspects him. They suspect the Rebels. He even gets handsomely paid for this. This can’t go on. But nobody does something. Nobody even seems to care. Nobody knows… This is war. With all these battles going on, all these casualties, all this misery, such a murder is just ‘normal’. People die every day. They die by the hundred. Why care about these unimportant victims? It isn’t even important to find out why they died, not even who killed them. There is no police anyway. These things just happen every day. We should accept this. What has war done to the people? It has made a murderer of many a soldier. And it has made everyone indifferent. Nobody cares anymore. Nobody cares that there are more people dying than living these days. Whether it is in the war or not. From time to time, if someone gets killed they know, people wake up and think this can’t go on. But only to fall asleep again. It’s the war that killed them, and what can we do about the war? This just happens. Killing has become the new normal. How can this go on? How can people keep adoring murderers like Boba Fett? How can we want to thank him for his good work? How can I participate in this madness? I have to wake up, and stay awake. Before I can even start to think how to end this, how to wake up the world, I have to wake up myself. How? I have no idea, but this murdering ‘hero’ is not getting a thank you card from me. But I will find him. Datapad, show me the way to the land of the living. [soNE Ep. VI] 3 - I'm going to find him by Bert.VR, on Flickr _______________ The story continues in goatman461's build, right here. _______________ Thanks for reading another one of my heavy stories. I hope you like it as well as the build, and i do hope it makes you think. Let me know! I wanted to do something else for Ord Mantell. Because it would fit my story, and because making wreckage and pile it is just impossible in LDD. I hope this unexpected take can still please you. I tried to keep everything plausible to build, but with the complicated mechanics, it is often hard to keep track of the stability. And I know those pieces that make up the pillars of the platform have a certain flexibility. Maybe they're rigid enough to keep it up. If not, this would be the equivalent of fishing rope here, and I hope that's okay. Hopefully, this doesn't offend anyone. Finally, if some parts look a bit strange to you, that's due to artefacts in the render. Olive green renders horribly, more like sand green, so I had to adjust everything, and this might have some strange implications. Also, there were some polygons astray, and I had to edit them out. Hope it isn't to offensive for the eye... Thanks again, and if anyone want to have a look around the model, here is the LDD file.
  11. [i combined two threads from rockraidersunited to make this post/topic more compact.] What contains 1178 pieces and looks like the LMS Explorer? If you guessed something but the 1:16 LMS Explorer, you we're wrong. I thought a long time about the idea of building an even smaller version of the LMS Explorer, because more people would be able to recreate it at home due to the lower piece count (things like the lack of some teal bricks are still a problem though). It was a bit difficult to integrate some details (this version has its flaws) and the 1:16 version doesn't look near as good as the 1:8 version, but I hope, that you still enjoy it. [2015-11-23]: I made new pictures with another render program (personally I prefer the new result):
  12. [As promised in my 1:1 scale L.M.S. Explorer thread this is one of the smaller L.M.S. Explorer models] In January 2012 I thought, that it would be a funny idea to build a smaller version of the L.M.S. Explorer, which could actually be build without owning the inventory of several Lego Stores ;) (turns out, that it's still impossible, because those cheese-slopes and other parts aren't produced in some colors like teal etc.). The result is the "Mini" L.M.S. Explorer. pieces: 5320 (aargh, so many small pieces^^). My latest version has ~5000 pieces (I eliminated some smaller flaws and exchanged smaller parts with bigger ones to reduce the brick count). building time: hmm, maybe 30 to 50 hours (changes not included) scale: not exactly 1:8 but very close to it (~1:8,25) (compared to my 1:1 scale version of the LMS Explorer, which is 975 studs long) construction program: LDD (but I have converted the model into ldr (MLCAD) and lcd (LeoCAD) files, too) dimensions: Length: 116 studs/ 91,36 cm/ 35,97 in. Width: 17 studs/ 13,49 cm/ 5,31 in. Height: 16 studs/ 12,70 cm/ 5,00 in. [2015-11-23]: I made a new picture with another render program (personally I prefer the new result):
  13. The Fondorian at the reception told us his employer was inspecting his mine. The officer I accompany just had to lower his eyebrows a bit to convey he was in a hurry. One of the mine’s hover platforms was assigned to us promptly. Your average platform. Average enough for me to pilot it. I was brought to make sure we didn’t need any unwanted guests. That would only complicate things. So now I’m flying this primitive platform around on this primitive facility. This place where they never end scraping the skin of the planet, to dump it in great piles, in search of whatever preciousness they may find. Because war’s hunger for construction materials is never satisfied. So they dig, dump and search. No need for fancy, clean equipment. The planet doesn’t charge tax for keeping it clean anyway… Between this chain of dusty mountains, inhabited by dirty excavators and with conveyors for trees, a bold white figure stands out. This vision of neatness in all of this toxic chaos. The officer has no doubt is the boss of this mine, inspecting the premises. We’re about in hearing range. [soNE Ep. VI] 2 - Worse than war by Bert.VR, on Flickr “The bounty hunter Boba Fett frequents this place” It wasn’t even a question. “Tell us what you know of him” “No one knows him. How could I help my friends of the Empire?” “Tell us everything, or we’ll make this official” The Fondorian seems the kind of businessman to understand what this implies. “Well, I don’t know him. Not beyond the point of his business. I can’t really say he works for me, but let me say I give him… inspiration. From time to time, when my sales aren’t increasing, I give him ideas what to do. War is great for business, you know. Because war brings fear, and fear brings the want for protection. And for that, you need materials. But war seems such a far-off thing for some people. The fear disappears. The money disappears. So we need to get war back to those people” “And that’s what you need the bounty hunter for” “He eliminates certain well-chosen targets. He destroyers certain facilities. But that’s something every bounty hunter can do. But to make the people believe it were the Rebels, you need the best. You need the best to frighten people with their own illusions, to make them feel unsafe, to make them long for protection, to make them buy, whether they really need it or not. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of terror. On the contrary. It’s good for commerce. And it keeps people awake, always on the lookout for the enemy. And it keeps people asleep, not complaining – this world is perfect, as long as they keep those Rebels outside. That’s why you Imperials let me do this off the books. You’ve known this for ages. But why this sudden interest?” “The bounty hunter was here recently. For a job of you” “People in the junkyards of Ord Mantell seem to think they have nothing to lose. They think everything there has been destroyed already. It was time to make them see that differently. And the loss of a concurrent won’t hurt business” These last words can only faintly be heard from the platform I’m steering back to our ship. But that doesn’t stop me of feeling a deep disgust. Of this man in whose mind resonates only the vocabulary of commerce. It’s not about the planet he is poisoning, it’s about the resources. It’s not about the fear people experience, it’s about what makes them hunger for those resources. Using war as a lucrative selling strategy. Using terror as marketing. There are no casualties, only losses of clients. I thought war was the worst thing imaginable. But people fighting a war are no villains. They want to end the war as soon as possible, in their favour. They are no villains compared to these… They don’t want the war to end. They want it to go on, to be everywhere, to destruct everything as long as it is profitable. This is not a human. This is not even a machine. But these villains could be stopped. If there was no cause, if there were no means to accomplish their goals. War gives them the ideas. And scum like bounty hunters, like Boba Fett, give them the opportunity. He doesn’t question what he’s doing. He can say he’s just the blaster in another’s hand. And he is right. The blaster never questions the actions of that hand. The killing is not his responsibility. But the blaster gave every one the opportunity to murder without having the need of the courage to look into the victims eyes. The blaster invites the user to use it, to kill. And so it is with the bounty hunter. The killer doesn’t even have to see his victim, he never has to touch a weapon. Boba Fett can say he hasn’t killed a soul in his life. But he offers the possibility. And should he who offers the opportunity be a bit less despicable than he who takes it? I never liked the bounty hunter, but now I’m utterly disgusted by him. _____________ LDD File to be found here. I really wanted to go for a different side of Fondor for this one, vast and dirty. I had a lot of fun with the bucket conveyor and the platforms, but the heap of dirt proved to be very difficult, both due to the shape and to the limited amount of bricks in dark orange. I hope you like the way it turned out (with a lot of studs!). It was quite impossible to contain it to the 16x16 base, so I hope the judges are okay with a one stud overhang of some plates. I also had to make the decorations for the torsos of the officer and the pilot. They can be found in this album, if anyone would want to use them for their renders. I hope you like this installment! Comments are always welcome!
  14. I wanted to create a rounded tower using the hinge plates as a base and moving up from there using 1x2s of various heights. However, I can't get the hinge plates to create a circle with equal quadrants. I want it to be round enough, but not too round. Can someone give me a few sets of angles I could use to do so?

    Fairground Dodgems

Seeing the new 10244 Fairground Mixer set made my excited, and the idea of an amusement park ride being mobile is brilliant. I thought it will be quite a challenge to continue what TLG started and design something similar. Here is what I came up with: Fairground dodgems The whole thing can be packed onto a truck and assemble on site. The two half of the building is attached using clips. As the total area covered is quite big, it has no floor- use it on flat surface! The Technic axles on top help the whole structure being more stable while traveling. With three cars and a ticket booth. The truck is basically the 3221 LEGO City Truck. I wanted to concentrate on the dodgems.

    MOC - Fairground accessories

Hi to everyone, Since the press release of 10244 Fairground Mixer my love for amusement parks/fairgrounds flared up once again.I loved designing the rides and shops for Roller-coaster Tycoon, and now I want to continue that road somehow. The set gave a great idea of traveling fairground so I designed a movable dodgem ride, and then I planned to continue with some “accessories”. For inspiration I visited the usual market in my hometown. The town of Debrecen hosts the Saint Michael’s Day market twice a year, in May and in late September/early October. A few blocks of the town is a huge (some kms long) market at this weekend, where sellers of clothes/shoes/dishes/candies/you-name-it try to sell their goods. A small fairground is part of the fun too. The following, smaller “activities” are regularly seen in these market: Ice cream motorcycle (How the ice-cream section is connected to the motorcycle section) Candy floss stand Indian musicians These guys always appear at the market. I don’t know how many such group travels around Europe, or even the same people come back each year (twice), but their music is an integral part of the market, and I love to listen to them.

I was inspired by some sport events I've just seen in the Sochi olympic games: Bobsled Luge Skeleton
  22. Lately, there have been surfacing some great mini models here. Please take your time to accept my micro (not just mini!) models here as well. Because finally, after half a year of sweating, I can proudly present these micro ships to you . I've been wanting to make these guys ever since my A-wing, to expand my lines of micro SW ships. But it didn"t proove to be easy. [MOC] micro B-wing & Y-wing by Bert.VR, on Flickr I had already built a Y-wing with 5 pieces, but didn't consider that as what I really wanted . So I sat down again to play with all kinds of pieces. The idea of using Technic axles for the columns was what sparked the Y-wing. It also offered a chance to use my favorite part, the wrench. It may look a bit skinny, but at least a sence of greebling is there. The hardest part was the head of the fighter. I really wanted that sloping form, and it had to be thicker than the body (that wonderful SNOT brick). I came up with the frogman's foot inserted in a claw piece. And tada, a 15 part Y-wing is born (16 parts if you would like to add a minifig hand on top to simulate a cannon)! In my opinion, it's much better than the version from the advent calendar... [MOC] micro B-wing & Y-wing by Bert.VR, on Flickr A B-wing had never been featured in the advent calendar (the scale I aim for), and pretty soon I discovered why. To make it look good in this scale, it has to be as thin as a single plate, and studs would completely ruin the model . So I was left with all those specialty pieces. I scrolled through the whole part inventory of LDD multiple times, only to find nothing. The B-wing remained unbuilt for several months. Do you know that feeling when after a very long time, you finally find what you are looking for? Well, imagine the feeling I experienced when, completely out of the blue, I stumbled across THE piece for my B-wing . Recognized it already? The piece that makes the central wing of the B-wing is... It had everything (apart from not being produced in grey) to make my B-wing look good. Some claw pieces, and my favorite wrench part soon snapped into place. The wings were a bit tricky, but I'm satisfied with the minifig neck pieces. The hole in it can be assumed to be that logo on the wings. They're not foldable, but can be swapped out easily with normal 1x1 plates to go to landing mode. The B-wing is my smallest model yet, with only 8 (!) pieces . I hope you can enjoy it nonetheless. It's not buildable in real life, unless you want to paint a Buzz wing. The Y-wing is buildable (hurray!), if you go with regular yellow instead of cool yellow, and pick the technic axles in dark grey. so in fact, you could put it next to my x-wing, or any other micro's you might have. [MOC] micro B-wing & Y-wing - exploded by Bert.VR, on Flickr I hope you like it. Comments are always welcome, as well as suggestions for further micro's. Because Size matters not. Judge me by my size, do you ?

    LDD lamppost

Played with light sources a little. In theory it should have worked, but the outcome is not yet perfect. But not too bad I hope

    Rivendell extended

Hi, This is something I just made the other day. I tried to design it to be similar to the official set. I hope you like it.
  25. Yes, another Fiends set concept art. I hope you are not bored. Purplestone Park Camping A little camping spot in the woods. With a tent and a small campfire were you can roast(?) marshmellow. The sleeping-bag and the lamp fits into the opened tent. Sunshine Beach Bar A place where you can have some refreshments or eat some juicy fruits. Thanks for mechamike about this idea!
