I usually don't post my Studio MOCs on Eurobricks, but a friend of mine IRL said Eurobricks might get a kick out of this one. I've read in several places online that some 80s kids used to use the old Alien Moon Stalker set (#6940, year 1986) as a substitute for an AT-AT when playing Star Wars with their Lego way back when. That makes last year's AT-AT set (#75288, year 2020) the natural starting point for a remake of the Alien Moon Stalker. This is still a rough WIP, lots and lots left to do, but I hope you like the idea! Comments and criticism welcome.

Multifunction vehicle. It can be converted to Cargo, Passenger, Small Vehicles, Oxygen, etc. There are 6 modular blocks of 5x7 studs, which can be unclipped, can be put in the hold, and can be put in the order you want. Include a mixture. The roof can be unclipped. The 2 types of Vityaz DT have many military or civilian variants. Surely one of the most varied vehicles in the world, however crazy it is. Excavator version, passenger / troop transport version, ballistic missile version, freight transport version, radar station version in arctic base, amphibious version, crossing bridge version, forest transport version, tank version (yes yes, with 2 turrets!), Version snowplow, mobile laboratory version, gas / mining version (currently used by Gazprom), etc. We are on a monster which is not far from being 3 to 4 large cars wide depending on the version. I wanted to stay a little in this “multifunction” spirit for the MOC. Custom radar, with lots of sensors. Cockpit, with an articulated twin-arm / view of the seat. Lights on the roof to illuminate everywhere = in the tundra, at night, in the cold, in the blizzard, in a lunar environment, etc ... Also, I focused on the armored aspect, trying to homogenize the 2x2 tile base on the hull. (or close). I made a maximum of modularity, I could not decide on one type or another of vehicle. So I made it simple and complicated at the same time: all types at the same time, lol! It's better :) I could also have made a command vehicle, with lots of consoles and control panels. It is quite possible, thanks to the available space. There is no limit to the imagination when it comes to converting the vehicle. Make a presentable base. Shall we say, a 1st for me. Especially the effect of the caterpillars in the sand, and the Lettering (which I'm not used to). The roof can be unclipped. All with a playable and accessible aspect. (I remain in the mentality / the spirit that a Lego must be playable, solid, playful, modular)

Welcome to the wonderous world of Yesteryears' view of the future! Where the moon is being colonized, robots are commonplace in our homes, atomic power is everywhere, and outer space is the new frontier! Here we see two Retro-futuristic trains together: the longest one is the "Nucleus Express" atomic-powered express passenger train, while the shortest one is the "Astrotrain" diesel passenger four-car train set, and the middle one is the "Moon Mover" diesel-powered freight service, with all three sporting streamlined Classic Space color schemes. ASTROTRAIN I already have a real-world Aerotrain LEGO model completed, and was fiddling around while bored when I came across this Classic Space version of the train from 2018. I had to take out the upside-down slanted coach windows because the parts don't exist in trans-yellow yet. I added different windows, red and green directional lights, and a bigger horn that looks like a thruster pod. I used black wheels instead of gray ones because they are cheaper and easier to find, but you'd never know that because I hid them behind SNOT'ed panels that look more like the prototype. Then, I deviated wildly from the GM Aerotrain and added a Baldwin Sharknose type-end to the front of the engine to make it even more unique. The classic space 4 x 2 slope from Benny's spaceship goes right below the headlight, of course. Also, as a side note, a 9V motor can be added to the engine for shows alongside my CS base / vehicles. (I don't own a 9V motor or track, but some GtwLUG members do and have offered to try out my locos wit h 9V power in the past.) The engine has been thoroughly made into a futuristic space locomotive... which wasn't too hard as it was already pretty forward-thinking designed originally. The roof is now removable, with seating for a driver and dual weight bricks for adding traction to the 9v motor. (when it has one for shows) As a concession to using trans-yellow as a window color, I had to remove the original slanted GM Fishbowl-bus style windows that were used on the original Aerotrain due to lack of parts in that color. The rear of the train has no coupler as it's "supposed" to be a part of one complete train-unit. Here we can se the original aerotrain working slightly at my dads. link to video showing Aerotrain in motion at Flickr Please excuse the pineapple couch, its my dads, as is the borrowed 9v equipment. The motor sadly only can pull three cars and at full speed only or not at all. But, it is a step towards having it run at train shows! (if anyone can help me figure out how to get the motor to move more than three cars, or add the video to my actual post, please respond below! Thanks to a suggestion by @XG BC, the locomotive now has weight bricks over the (potential) motor, so it should be ready for 9v power for shows next year. NUCLEUS EXPRESS PASSENGER TRAIN Heavily inspired by @Electricsteam's long-awaited Atomic Streamliner project, (as seen here ) I have designed my own Atomic-Age wonder for my "Moon Mover" fast freight service. It is, as is Electricsteams' engine, a fission powered turbine loco with 4-4-2 "Atlantic" wheel arrangement. This engine lacks the full streamlining of other locos, but it does have the nose streamlined. This allows for easier working on the nuclear powerplant that powers the engine's movement. Unlike the slower Earth trains, the Nucleus type of space-train is super-streamlined, and can go up to speeds of up to 180 MPH on it's special track, with super-elevated curves and a long straight-away over 101+ miles, all while using Positive Train Control (PTC) on the the mostly double-track mainline, where all vehicle crossings are flyovers and switches virtually non-existent once out of the city limits. Here are the three coaches for the Nucleus train. The inside of all the cars for this train look the same - three seats for each car. This dome car features spectacular views of Earth through it's car-width rooftop window. The rearmost-car features a large observation window. ASTRO-BASE COMMUTER RAILROAD STATION This commuter station will be the departure point for my two Classic Space trains. It features a very low floor with two accessibility ramps to get at the two train tracks - one run through and one stub end. There are two benches, two ticket machines, and a single double-sided analog clock. The manned ticket booth (for those uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the electronic machines) has a sign above it saying the train terminal's name, which is named Astro-Base. This is because it is located next to my Classic Space moon-base. Here we see the other side of the run-through track. OTHER STUFF The two identical doors of the space base has been re-designed to handle train tracks so the trains can enter and exit the walled-in base and the doors still open and shut. Atlantis City (located in Copernicus crater on Earth's moon, in XL shape and yellow on the map), the great domed wonder of the solar system, has a rail system to get people to work at it's outlying un-domed facilities. The interstellar transport hub of Reinhold is the next stop, and is the terminus for all the public passengers / galactic tourists. (The Reinhold crater is in green here) The following two branch lines are for specific crewmembers only: The Lansberg line is for power / shield generation over the city and surrounding land areas. It also was where the original city was located, before the original founders relocated to Copernicus Crater and founded the Great Glass City as we know it today. (Lansberg is in violet / purple crater) The Gambart line is for military personnel only, as it where the top brass pour over charts and make way for the latest improvements in "laser scanner" technology. (This one in the Blue with yellow rim crater) Potential new tracks could be laid to the planned 100,000 seat stadium in the older Stadius crater (barely visible near Copernicus crater) for Sportsball events. New tracks could also be laid past the space hippies encampment at Hortensius Crater (small yellow crater), but has been continually voted down by protesting neo-hippies, as it would bring bad vibes to their region by the loud construction vehicles just to get to the ice mines of the Mare Insularum. (No one has managed to get through to them that there is no sound in a vacuum!) (Photo from Google Earth, with railroad lines drawn and story by me. The colorful moon landscape background is from early 1960's NASA maps that I thought were really cool. More stuff will come as I think of it, so keep your eyes peeled for updates to this thread! UPDATED 7/11/21 This Zephyr-like loco is going to replace the engine at the head of my Astro-train. I decided to do this for one reason: motorization! I will soon be able to put a 9v motor at the head of the train, running it via electricity for shows with Gateway LUG. The inter-car connection is the same as before, and most of the needed parts for the engine (plus one more passenger car!) will come from the pervious loco. Thoughts? -
Hi, in the last weeks, I started to build a Classic Space layout. The first parts of the creation are ready, and it now in the voting stage on LEGO Ideas. Classic Space Rescue Mission: a LEGO Ideas project -> https://ideas.lego.com/projects/20a6b1ce-834d-4597-bc66-61846ebbb561 It is a Classic Space rover, a rock with alien vegetation and a mysterious golden monolith embedded in an other rock. The new minifigures and the neo-classic appearance are binding to the real classic era with a story. Originally, I wanted to have a Classic Space minifigure in a very special colour, but there was a lack of them in my collection. Hi, since I'm relatively new here, I figured I'd post some of the stuff I've been doing during COVID lockdown (mostly Star Wars related). Since I've recently picked up two large boxes from my parent's attic containing my old Classic Space sets, I've also started to design models in the spirit of the old Classic Space theme. I started with Classic Space / Star Wars mesh-ups (see here if you're curious), but then I wanted to do an homage to my favourite Classic Space set and here's the result: Unfortunately, my vision contains parts that use colours that Lego doesn't currently have in its inventory. So I had two choices, either to compromise on my design in order to make a regular MOC or to shoot for the stars and enter it on the LEGO Ideas platform...as the title indicates, I opted for the latter: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a57e5ea-cf61-4129-b4ac-b09fe3d15107 As you can see, I wanted to modernise the design with more curves, slopes and tiles while keeping the classic look & feel, the clean, sleek appearance and as many features as I could. Also, Classic Space sets usually had dope play features, so it was important for me to also include some kind of gimmick, which is the fully detachable shuttle in the back: Two ships in one! Hello to all members 😃 I would like to show this awesome gift that my friends have given me. This project was born from an incredible friendship story. Two guys, Jody and Roberto, to pay homage to myself, following a hilarious end-of-year live in which I pronounced the word "Space Shuttle" with a strong local accent (translated in "speisciattol"), took the ball and decided that, to tear me away an extra smile, they would have dedicated me a LEGO Ideas project in which I would have been the main minifigure along with my Classic Space shuttle (since it is a theme that I love) and therefore without my knowledge they "transformed" me into a LEGO Ideas project. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/aea1ad01-4e23-481e-9ee5-55e1b77d1c3f The idea is so crazy and beautiful at the same time that I'm sure it can open up new ways and ideas for new projects and I ask you, if you like, to help me get it to 10k votes 😃 Thanks all -
This was a project I undertook last year during lockdown. In fairness, I got carried away with it. Originally published on New Elementary's Patreon site and then shared (in a heavily edited form) on the brickset forum... so some of you Classic Space fans here might not have seen it. I thought I would share it here (in full) just in case anyone was the slightest bit interested in my silly project! Odyssey No.918 For my fifth birthday, I was given a 918 ‘one man spaceship’. The very same 918 ‘one man spaceship’ pictured below in fact, bitten, scratched and sun damaged... but still my original set from 1979. I can only assume my juvenile self was not the same fan of that little moon logo that the adult LEGO addict is. At some stage in the past, I had nearly rubbed and scratched away the whole logo. I recently took a pragmatic decision to “restore” the slope by removing the logo entirely with Brasso and replacing it with a homemade sticker. It held no nostalgia for me as it was and it really was unusable in the state it was in. My original 918 with “restored” 3939 6x3 slope. The box is an empty one I acquired circa 2007, when a 'Classic Space LEGO' habit was affordable! During lockdown I've been rebuilding many of my old Classic Space sets with my children as an “activity” for all of us to enjoy, well, for me to enjoy ;-) ...and that’s where my old 918 comes in. Often, we have no idea where the inspiration comes from for a LEGO project but this is not one of those times. This started as an attempt to reflect the classic moon logo by building an all red version of 918 and it quickly spun out of control. I ordered the parts I didn’t already own off Bricklink and the built ‘The Redbird’ above. It was really easy acquiring all the correct elements owing to the plentiful supply of red parts. I decided to go red with a few black accents - mostly because I had a lot of the missing parts in black as spares... and there aren't 3963 three-way direction jets (space rockets) in red. I’ve subsequently found that there was a brief availability of red 4x4 cones - I assume from a pre-production run that is now sadly all bought up. With the Redbird another tricky part were the red 3940 support stands and I wasn’t sure they added anything to this variant, but the two I bought eventually found a good home elsewhere :-) Since the initial foolhardiness of the ‘Redbird’, one 918 has led to another 918, as it were. I popped these pictures of the Redbird in various places on the internet and was delighted with the reaction they garnered. Casually one evening whilst washing up, I mentioned how inordinately pleased with my red 918 I was and other people's responses to it. My wife said to me "How many different colours could you build it in?". Oh come on! Loose lips sink ships, seriously, you shouldn't say something like that to an addict! Bricklink search time! You think 918 is made up of mostly commodity parts, but some are fairly rare if you stray away into "all the colours" territory. Some are simply beginning to become rare as a result of age and its associated issues. Others are just expensive because, well, Classic Space. According to Bricklink’s inventory we are looking for a meagre 81 parts. "This is doable!" I thought "...and anyway, we're down the rabbit hole now." My first considerations were wings and slopes. “Don’t Chrome crying to me that this isn’t a full ring!” The 4x8 wedge/wing with 1x1 notch/cutout otherwise known as 3933 & 3934 (the original classic space wings) are available in a total of 16 colours. Let’s immediately forget the chrome wings that came in the 10026 ‘UCS’ Naboo Starfighter from 2000. Why? Well, to be honest, the price per wing is enough reason. Additionally they're only available in limited quantities, none are on sale in the UK and postage from anywhere else would make the cost bankrupting. Furthermore Chrome has such a limited number of parts, unless you do go the custom route, it would only ever be the wings and antenna that are possible to include. I could buy very reasonably priced custom items from one of the reliable chroming boutiques, but then where would it end?! ...I see a red car slope and I want it painted black... The 3939 3x6 slope, comes in 8 solid colours and 6 translucent ones. You need a translucent one and a solid colour one in each variant 918. The solid colour either needs to be the same colour as the wings or a nice visual companion as with the original 918's colour scheme. Surprisingly, the reintroduced 6x3 slope 58181 doesn't actually help all that much. Available in only 3 solid colours and 4 translucent ones*. The exception being its appearance in dark bluish grey... which is a pretty rare piece as a ‘parted out’ component, owing, I am sure, to its singular inclusion in 75144 UCS Snowspeeder. *Trans red is also tantalisingly available too, but again, expense made me rule it out in its unprinted form. Once I had amassed all the parts I had in my parts store, I realised that some of these spaceships were going to be easier to complete than others, and at least a couple of them were going to require a few compromises! I had most of the parts for a black one but I couldn’t decide whether I wanted a regular Classic Space black or a Blacktron variant. An extra Blacktron 918 however, would mean that I would (just) need another pair of black wings and a few yellow parts. You can see where this is going can't you? 3963 direction jets (loudspeakers) are only officially available in 8 colours and they are not plentiful in yellow, or were (at least) rare enough not to appear in pairs in the UK on Bricklink. I realised a little after the initial batch of orders that the Blacktron 918 needed a yellow cone too. The yellow 3943b 4x4x2 cone was only available in four sets including the US exclusive 6954 Blacktron Renegade... which I've seen being coveted in a fair few quarters recently. There was only one used one available in the UK at the time (gone now!) but I was able to get two new ones from a good German store for not much more than the UK price plus postage. Combined, these things and minimum order costs pretty much simultaneously meant that I ordered enough parts to make a yellow version. Brackets of the 3956 variety don’t exist in yellow (not in official sets at least), but I worked out what I think is a neat enough alternative using the new 41682 2x2 bracket in yellow and 32028 1x2 modified door rail plate. Luckily the 12 colours that the original bracket comes in covered most of the variations I wanted to make. I used the bracket solution for one other ship. There is a dark bluish grey 3956, but it only came as an 'alternate' part in 8100 and more common in that set is the light bluish grey variety! Not that expensive on its own, but only two Canadian sellers had it listed on Bricklink, and although supply on ebay looks possible within the set, I would need to spend a minimum of £8 to get it! Stealth mode ON! I knew blue was going to be fairly easy, and I had everything but a spare trans blue 6x4 plate and a spare pair of wings. The model is missing just one final 3940b blue support stand, sadly this was owing to an inventory error with one Bricklink seller. Blue is definitely one for the purists, because it’s possible to do a faithful colour correct recreation (however, I did end up substituting a pair of wings for the 6104 wedge plate). Other variants that came together reasonably easily were White and Light Grey. Again, the white should be a purist pleaser. The Light grey is actually theme accurate if not 100% part accurate, sets 6901, 6861, 6891, 1968, 6952, 6940 and 1580 all use the Trans Green/Light Grey colour scheme to great effect. Dark Red has just one part that I would love to have the appropriate replacement for. My Dark Red 918 needs the 3956 bracket, but it doesn’t exist and currently at least I can’t use my 41682 “fix”. Also, I’ll make no bones about it, I would also LOVE a dark red Classic Spaceman! Dark Grey really needs the front forks/guns (otherwise known as 3839a or 3839b and please do see Inthert‘s excellent article about that part!). It could really do with the doors too, but the black ones are okay as the chances of there ever being original dark grey doors are between pretty remote and non-existant! I always order more “used” parts than I actually need. It’s a habit I’ve formed over the last fifteen years of ordering from Bricklink. Understandably, the quality of parts can be variable, even from the same seller, also, there’s never a single seller that has all the parts I want. Almost always there is some overlap of availability of the more plentiful pieces between sellers that have the rarer parts in stock too. Long story short, I usually end up having more than I need because most Bricklink sellers are excellent. During the process I found that I had enough parts to create a few extra additions to my fleet. I already had a good supply of Light Bluish Grey wings so Neo Classic versions of the original livery was a nice variation to be able to do and also there were also parts I wanted to try out with a Redbird variant. I also find that I’m easily muddled when ordering from a few places and this leads me to mistakenly order duplicate parts (particularly when I’m balancing the best deals). I doubt I’m alone but the pictures of left and right wings (and wedges too, etc. etc.) on Bricklink confuse me too. The happy consequence of that though, has been the multicoloured ship that has naturally evolved out of the spare parts. At this point, I decided that if I could, I’d like to build as many of the possible variations as I could afford to on my LEGO budget. Where 3939 is not available at all, I've allowed a configuration of 1x3 & 4x3 slopes - you need the width in the middle to have a big enough logo! Where neither 3x6 or 4x3 are available I have combined where possible with different colour wings to limit my overall number of separate ships. Brown wings are therefore partnered with a sand green 3939 slope that I thought looked like quite a nice companion... alternate parts are available but without the red crest, this ship just doesn’t earn its nickname! I'm also still working on my sand blue, dark orange, orange and dark blue versions. Collectively there are still quite a few parts to locate for the fleet, hopefully parts to plug some of the more important gaps are on the way. Not least, the Orange Spaceman that comes in DK’s ‘LEGO® Minifigure A Visual History New Edition’ will be a wonderful addition. As with many of these endeavours, you discover just how crazy prices can be, for example, the 6x3 slope 3939 in black (that I'd ideally have for both black and blacktron) was only available in one promotional set (2998 for Stena Ferries) in '98 and would have set you back a cool £16 each, minimum, on Bricklink (at time of writing). Amazingly, there are only 5 colours of the 3479 tail wing support, so decisions must be made as there's really no way to satisfactorily work around that element in modern pieces. All but the original blue slopes have homemade "moon" logo stickers, I know, I still need to add a few more! It really has been an undertaking, and one I partially regret right now, because I’m about three months’ worth of my LEGO allowance over budget. I’m happy with the results, it’s been a nice challenge. I had pulled from spares and acquired enough wings to make the full delta wing arrangements for the whole squadron but the corresponding plates to support them were more troublesome, and despite my efforts to account for all the pieces I would need... Plates are required in 4x8, 4x4, 2x10, 2x8, 2x6, 2x4, 2x3 2x2 aaaaand 2x1 & 1x1 in various quantities and believe it or not, not all the parts are available in all the colours needed to complete this job. Others meanwhile are rare and only available for just plain demented prices, I’m looking at you Sand Blue 3024! Luckily most are possible to substitute. Similarly 1x4, 1x3, 1x2 & 1x1 bricks are also needed... although, I think just about all the colours I needed are available. Trans colours for the 3032 4x6 plate you need for the canopy are limited to two, it only appears in trans yellow and trans blue! So, naturally I have had to use solid colours for the majority of the fleet. Homemaker stove switches 4x1 3010p41 also comes in only two colours (white and light grey) and I honestly didn’t see any real reason to worry too much for a part that won’t be seen and is pretty difficult to see in the original anyway. I did buy one very reasonably priced white one though. Only one real disappointment in all of this for me was the absence of any green wings. So in the interests of making this more of a rainbow in our troubled times I clad some spare yellow wings... vive la NHS. Rainbow, well sort of ;-) Finally, I was left with a "junkyard" of extra unused parts... ...and I think “Hmmm, could I use red wings to do a pink/magenta/purple in a similar way to the green?” ...I really don’t own much purple LEGO!

Hundreds of years in the future, a team of astronauts discovers a small moon orbiting a big ice planet. As they approach the surface, they discover wreckage of spaceships and large robots, some buried deep in the dust of the moon. Now, two years after the initial findings, the astronauts have built a base on the moon and are discovering more and more traces of an earlier battle as they excavate. Commander Chris Studstrong leads a team of scientists and engineers who have made it their goal to find out more about the earlier events on this moon. While some of the astronauts are on the moon's surface excavating, others are back at the base examining the discovered artifacts. Naomi, a chemist, researches the spacecraft's fuels and ensures that no dangerous reactions can occur while working on the wrecks. Ted, a scientist, and David, a geologist, study the lunar surface to find out more about the crashes and their causes. David's instruments have just made a very exciting find: a droid frozen in the ice under the dust! Gina works at the base and researches the technology and materials of the excavated objects in her laboratory. Jule, an engineer, makes sure the station's life support system is working properly and also keeps the spacesuits in good shape. There's nothing she can't fix! Bob, a reporter, accompanies the crew on their mission and documents all interesting objects and progress. An overhead railway is used to transport excavated parts and connect the base to the surrounding area. Pilots Phillipe and Cara can also use a crane to retrieve heavy debris. So, this is my first attempt at a Classic Space themed spacecraft (albeit not really following the rules of Neo Classic Space) as well as my first serious attempt at greebling. Not entirely sure it is good enough/technical enough for the forums, but would still like to share it. The hull is heavily influenced by classic cars from the 1930's, as well as offshore racing boats. Any feedback would be great, (better building techniques to use, better colour blocking schemes, etc.) even if you think it's a piece of gǒu shǐ! Classic Space car (early 1950-something style) - real world MOC

(MODS: I just thought it would be easier to see the car in a forum where it would be more in-tune with it's origins... I.E. a town-based car. If you need to move it, go ahead,I just thought it would fit here best.) Inspired by this recent @hachiroku build here, I have completed this new early 1950's car for Benny, who seems pretty happy with it. It will go nicely with my very '50's retro-looking Astrotrain (see it here in Train Tech), of which the final parts for have arrived... but that won't be built until late December. (It's a Christmas present from my family, so I have to wait.) The rear has a license plate, the classic space logo, and two coverings partially obscuring the rear wheels. The roof is held on by four studs, and is as such removable. The two doors open, but the obligatory space seat is missing, because any more height and Benny would not fit inside. As a courtesy to the driver instead, I have included a light bluish gray upholstery for the back of the seat. This is a comparison picture between Bob's 1960's sports car and Benny's classy 1950's automobile (More of which you can see in my Classic Space topic, and in my Nexus Force thread, both of which are in the sci-fi forum) Well, what do you think? -
I am normally building Pirates, but when my son got out of my minifigs my old first spaceman ever, I had to build him a new vessel to play with... This lead to this little cute one : I thought the vessel was good enough to be shared with the community, so here it is. Hope you like it ! You'll notice that the poor spaceman has his helmet broken (as always with those old helmets from the 70's-80's...) I chose to leave him as he is because of nostalgy. He is really my oldest spaceman minifig !

Hi there, I made some little Moc in a Classic Space style and today I'm here to show you. I made these Mocs to complete my Classic Space diorama, so I tried to make them by using just parts from that era, more or less 1979-1987. The diorama is about 160 x 60 cms The first one is a kind of a Command space centre: The second one is a little complex because I wanted to create a refinery, consisting of an extraction center, a refining plant and the storage tank. The last one is a little vehicle for the transport of debris... That's all folks.

For decades, Mankind has ventured into the unknown and build settlements, space stations and terraformed planets.And you know what these all have in common? Dirty landing pads. Spaceships collect a lot of dust and dirt while flying through space, and much of it lands on landing pads like the crumbs on a keyboard when you eat chips. Now who do you think cleans this mess up? Well, if you still live at your parents place, probably your mum.As for our adventurous fellows in space, it´s the job of the maintenance crew to clean the landing pads. Luckily they now have a powerful new tool to aid in their important bud mediocre paid job. Hitch the vacuum cleaner trailer to your lunar buggy and follow the trail of space dust. A couple of years ago I built a Neo-Classic Space display for Brickvention which I called A-83 Exploration Base (you can see photos of it here if you are interested.) as part of the display I built three ships of varying sizes/purposes and this one is my Viper, LL-997. It was designed to be a single-person fighter. This is a LEGO Ideas project of a Classic Space castle I built. It is a bit inspired by the LEGO castles from the 80s and is also based on a LEGO game I have created called Classic Space Adventure, which is an old school platform game that can be played in your browser. If you like this space castle it would be really appreciated if you would support it here. Like the LEGO castles from the 80s it can be opened and closed. . Classic Space ambassador spaceship LL99 (Naboo Royal star-ship MOD)

This model was originally a @hachiroku model of the the Nubian Royal Star-ship from Star wars Episode I (The Phantom Menace), as seen here. I followed his instructions and gave it my own twist with bulkier engines, elongated fuselage and a blue color streak or three, along with bumblebee stripes for the official neo-Classic Space look. Speaking of engines, these "glow" trans-orange whereas the original model didn't have any afterglow color. I also added radar dish pieces to them, as it wouldn't be classic space without these parts, would it? The ship is owned by Classic Space Ambassador and vintage 1978 white-suited astronaut Jenny, who uses the ship to conduct meetings with just-discovered worlds to talk to them about membership in the Lego Space Congress. They don't have to join with the Classic Space forces, as they can represent themselves (in the League of Non-Aligned Worlds) or join another force such as the Roboforce Alliance, M-Tron Company, Futuron Generational Holdings, Neo Nexus Force, The UFO and Insectoid Leagues, among many others. Usually, Jenny travels with a flotilla of other ships representing a smorgasbord of interests such as those listed above from across the Milky Way. (and beyond!) to each new world, where they each have five Galactic-standard minutes to state there case for their league, and why the world in question should join them. The world can then vote to join a established group, not join any and remove itself from the forum completely in self-imposed seclusion, or join the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. (This league of last resort is a patchwork of rebel colonies, drifting moons, mining asteroids, and separate worlds that is sadly the dumping ground for "everyone else" in the Space Congressional system. It is so fractured that they don't even have a appointed leader, but several semi-leaders of different categories of their members. As no-one is above anyone else, it's pure chaos in that section of the bureaucracy!) The inside of the ship, with one part missing from under the glass dome at the rear (the stellar map of the Lego Galaxy) In front of the cockpit is a storage area for cargo or consumables and the loading ramp. The ship has two forward-facing laser blasters under the main wedge shaped-front end, and three landing legs. The cargo area lifts away, while the passenger area roof folds open 90 degrees or so. This ship seats three figures, too. As usual, the Classic Space logo goes on 4 x 2 nose slope piece. There are two of these little helper bots to populate the inside of the cargo bay of Ambassador Jenny's ship. They are identical, and fit nicely in the space if the antenna is folded in front forward when stored inside the ship. (Only one of the two droids is shown here next to Jenny.) Hopefully this will be built at some point in 2020, as soon as I can find funds... but until then, parts are slowly being accumulated from my storage containers. Any thoughts?
