A collab for the Silhouette Category of the 2023 Summer Joust with Sean Mayo, Carter W, Eli Willsea, Micah Beideman and myself. Loosely based off of some concept art released with the announcement of Alto's Oddysey: The Lost City. Instead of making a 6 stud depth build myself, I thought it would be fun to have 6 builders build 1 stud depth "layers" and then compile them into one seamless image, and this is the result! The layers were built by the builders as follows: Dk Brown: Sean (Because Grant had to bail last minute) Reddish Brown: Me Dark Tan: Carter Sand Blue: Eli Medium Blue: Micah Medium Azure: Sean And now that I've dissed Grant for bailing last minute, I can also thank Grant for "breaking into" Eli's house and taking pictures of Eli's layer while Eli was out of town so that we could make it by the deadline! 6 studs wide Police Interceptor from the early 2000s as known from countless movie classics.Features: -Compatible with narrow new road plates -Fits 4 minifigures sitting side by side -Doors, engine hood, trunk open -Backbench separated by a divider wall -Spacious trunk that fits 2 helmets, 2 handcuffs & 2 batons -Rotatable searchlights -Police computer & shotgun After an almost decade-long hiatus, I got back into Lego in early 2022. Considering how much had changed in the meantime, I made it into my first major project to deliver something that to me appeared to be much wanted, yet not available: Minifigure-scale (or close) cars that fit minifigures side by side, are narrow enough for the new road plates and have full functionality (such as doors, engine hood, trunk). At the same time, I wanted them to be good-looking and stable enough to be handled easily. I'm very pleased at the results so far, please let me know what you think. Hello modular building and City fans, This modular Gothic Cathedral was my entry to Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. I have received many kind comments and support, but unfortunately it has not been selected, therefore I decided to make the instructions available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-148170/_TLG_/gothic-cathedral Kit is available here: https://buildamoc.com/products/gothic-cathedral It is not actually based on a real building, but it contains many typical details: lancet arches, double lancet arch windows, a ridge turret, flying buttresses, portals with series of receding planes, rose windows etc., and there is a matching street lamp too. The roof assembly can be removed as one piece and in this case the internal details are visible: there is an altar with a cross, a candle holder, a church tabernacle, a brick built bible, there are benches, an organ, a holy water stoup etc.. The middle door on the facade and the side doors open outward, and work perfectly, the side doors on the facade open inward and they can be opened if the door handle pieces (the taps) are removed, but it is not se easy to close them in this case. It is a studless build, the unnecessary studs are hidden by tiles. When I started the design, the first version included appr. 4600 parts, so I had to optimized and simplified it a bit, but I am still really satisfied with the result. For example it could be very nice if there was trans color plates in the holes of the window fences, but it would mean too much additional parts (and I am also not sure if it is a legal technique). The building instructions guidelines have been followed. It is built from the palette "BDP Series 1", so there are some color and part restrictions. The part 15744 could be awesome as rose window on the facade, but unfortunately it is not available in black or light bluish gray. However, the technic gear 40 tooth works too. The bells could be pearl gold or something similar, but the best available option is the black which is ok. I hope you like my design, I appreciate any feedback. In general the new arctic/explorers wave is pretty interesting and surely nicely designed. The multitude of included animals is really a crowning jewel of this wave. I have however very mixed feelings about the "ratio" of arctic and underwater sets in this wave. We had an arctic AND seperate underwater waves back in 2020, so it's a nice refresh. Still, I feel that the "arctic" part is underepresented here with only 2 sets being stricly arctic - 60376 Arcitc Explorer Snowmobile and 60378 Arctic Explorer Truck and Mobile Lab. And even with the Arctic Explorer "Truck" it's not a truck. It's not even an expeditionary vehicle. It's a snow-plow - a service vehicle. It looks great, sure, but it misses the point in my opinion. The rest 3 sets are all underwater/water themed and they only share a color scheme with arctic sets: 60377 Explorer Diving Boat which has tropical looking seabed side-build with turtles and a shark. That's like completely opposite of arctic theme here. 60379 Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine once again a strictly underwater themed set with no hint of association with the arctic explorers. Also way overpriced IMO. Only the 60368 Arctic Explorer Ship bears some hints of "arctic" theme with some minifigs wearing warm caps and caps. So in the end only 2 out of 5 sets of the arctic wave are really arctic themed. I just wish for at least one normal wheeled "exploration vehicle" set in the arctic theme, something like 60035 or 60195. Do you guys feel the same about this wave?

two 1950s vintage police patrol cars - real world MOC (based on LEGO City Undercover model)

"This is the police! Come out with your hands up, we have you surrounded! Surrender now, or we are going to use force!" These two identical models were heavily inspired by a Checker Taxicab build I found on Rebrickable by user Labronco Brick Designs. (This builder had reverse engineered the taxi from the LEGO City Undercover video game) I changed the model around a lot to create a '50s police car. This car isn't based on anything too specific (but apparently there WERE Checker police cars in Springfield, Michigan at one time!), but it does get the general "look" of the stereotypical 1950s police car correct, from the single red 'gumball' light on top to the streamlined styling. You can see the original builder's model (alongside a whole bunch of other cool cars from the video game) and their accompanying free instructions here. The rear of the car with the stylized taillights and non-functional trunk latch. Each vehicle seats two: an officer upfront, and a suspect behind. That's all I have for these models, and thoughts / comments / questions / feedback in general would be appreciated! -
Today I have a pair of MOCs that I deem the first of their kind on the internet. I felt that the world of Lego was lacking in little-known warehouse vehicles, so I built a Hubtex-style sideloader forklift and an electric pallet truck. I have only seen one other sideloader, however it was a technic model with power functions. Hello! A year and a half ago, I saw somewhere on Flickr a building assembled on something like that. The idea came up to assemble an entire city from such buildings. At first standart basis were used, then doubled and quadruplet, and sometimes more. During this time two cities were built. I will share renders for those who are intrested. Ladies and gentlemen, Since i was a child, i was disappointed byr the firefighters' helmet of the lego sets. So we had to make some ceremony for the distribution of the new helmets, especially because some of older guys where in service since 90s. So with kids we organize a beautiful ceremony for this great event, and still don't know what to do with the old helmets (trashcan?). But there are some dinosaurs hidding in it from 1990, and a firefighter from the fuel truck 6459 from 1999.

I am working on a moc that uses parts from 60320 to make a Shell gas station like the sets 1254 and 1256. I also am using instructions for 7993 and 3177 for reference on how to make cars. Any suggestions, let me know! Thanks.

This is my entire to "Life in Cedrica" contest. At the perimeter of Cedrica there are remains of the old city wall. Around these pieces of stone walls, the houses have been built so that they enclose the parts of the wall that still stands up. In the block, several craftsmen has moved in from the four guilds. All have come to Cedrica to seek fortune in the city with the crafts and skills they have. A business man from Kaliphlin has his fish shop on the ground floor of his house. He buys much of the fish from local fishermen. But since he is financially minded, he also pulls up fish directly from the channel as well and sells to his customers. From Varlyrio comes a baker who sells fresh bread every morning to the neighbors. When there is time, he devotes himself to his passion in life, reading books. A potter from Avalinia has moved into a small house on a back street. Here he sells the produce of his craft. A cabinet maker and his family live in a house next to the old city wall. On the ground floor is the carpentry shop where many of the block's furniture have been made. Had to build something for this challenge! It has been far too long since I made a large medieval scene. I got quite a lot of elements in the new flesh colors last year, and have been wanting to make some buildings with them ever since. However, that did lead to the city block looking more Venetian than I initially planned The model is viewable from all sides and features full interiors throughout with businesses on the ground floor and apartments above. There is even a section of sewers underneath street level. Any sections of the buildings that overhang the base size can easily be removed in case I ever choose to add on more modules with buildings that sit flush against these. Lord Karsten was honored to have an invitation to appear in Queen Ylspeth's court as one of the representatives for a Mitgardian embassy, and for the first time was able to bring Lady Karin and the twins with him to the capitol city. Harburg is a good sized town, but the crowded streets of Cedrica were an entirely new experience for Eryl and Elise. Even Valholl couldn't compare to the sheer size and density of Historica's capitol. There was so much to see and explore that Karin had a hard time convincing her children to return to their guest quarters each evening. The canals were especially fascinating for Eryl. After some work in my (not so much ) freetime, I almost finished my project for a F1 racetrack with paddocks. I started to work on it some months ago, due to I like F1 and motorsports and I was partially inspired by old LEGO sets I played with when I was a child. First design idea was based on old road plates, but I cannot find a plate that really matched my idea and needs. So I decided to move on to new LEGO modular roads and I think it was a very good choice: they gave you ability to reach high details level. I was able to reproduce racetrack start line, cars positioning lines, pit lane markers and so on. In addiction to it I was able to add studs on pitlane so you can attach mechanics minifigs. The top section of each team-box can be detached easily and can be swapped togheter as you prefer. I designed some race commentary rooms with microphones, race statistics on monitor and so on and a podium part. The podium section is two team-box wide, fully detachable and has a pilots after race interview room on the back. MOC has width compatible with standard 32x32 road plates (2 of them) so it can be easily added to an existing layout. I also tried to imagine some stickers to be placed on podium section top panels. I tried to design this as modular and extendable as possible and now I'm working also on the part for the spectators which will be attached in front of paddocks (where there's the small green grass part) and it will be also compatible with 32x32 road plates. I haven't built a MOC in quite a while, been a bit busy with work and everything else. And the inspiration doesn't come as often as it used to when I was younger. But this January I decided to sit down and build a really cool MOC for a contest. And I thought, I enjoy Victorian architecture a lot, why don't I build a Victorian cottage? (I mean, technically it's a house but cottage sounds a bit more charming). This was a really interesting model for me to design. I actually started with the balcony and the tower, and then built downwards from there until I reached the baseplate. From there, (because it was all in one step in the stud.io file at that point), I ended up separating the entire model piece by piece, and building it again from the ground up! I am definitely the type of builder who will build everything at once and organically flow into a completed model. Only to find it is in one big step with no indication of how I got there. Wasn't going to fly for the contest, since we needed to build instructions. When I started building, because it was actually going to have more of a rectangular shape with a porch in front of the tower, I made one of the gable ends longer. But that really made the roof angles wonky. So instead, I decided to make it more or less the same on either side, which worked out in regards to the gable ends. The shell design over the windows on the tower went through several iterations before I found the one I liked. To add further complication, the whole model was then split into three parts, built again from the ground up, and instructions were made for those three parts. There were a few part problems to work out along the way, this step was incredibly helpful. The submodels were then reincorporated back into the final model with an accompanying 628 page instruction component. And of course part problems cropped up everywhere which meant the instructions had to be formatted again a whopping three times! What a journey! I think I definitely know the model inside and out by now. The most challenging part for me was working on the roofs. I am definitely not the best at coming up with angles and figuring out how to make those work, it definitely took a lot of time and a lot of trial and error. There was also a hilarious mishap at one point realizing that the detailed, hinged roof that I intended to be able to open and close would not open at all, and instead it just crashed into the porch roof. Which prompted a redesign to a more doll-house open wall style build. Oh, and there's no toilet. Which is a bit of an inconvenience for whichever minifigs end up buying this house, but it's nothing a little redecorating can't solve. The furniture was pretty fun to create too. I'm not the best at coming up with fantastic unseen-before techniques, so a lot of it more basic. It was a great experience to be able to build this model. The idea was rather spontaneous, and I settled on the Victorian house theme because I've always loved Victorian architecture. I especially loved the Monster Fighter's Haunted House, and I wanted to create something that had somewhat close to the accessibility of a dollhouse while still having the stability and bulk to be a stand-alone display model. There was quite a bit of trial and error on the trim, some of the pieces clashed in ways that the program wouldn't detect until it was too late. But overall, I'm very satisfied with how the build turned out! This MOC I've currently entered into the Bricklink BDP Series 1 contest that's currently ongoing, and it has just entered the voting phase. This is my moc/alternative/combo build “corner market” Mr produce has fallen on hard times, forcing him to downgrade his grocery store to a corner market, he still is very popular with the kids, though, his only complaint about his current situation is the bank at the top In the back, a fresh delivery from the farm! Jackson unloads the truck, getting the shipment ready for the store! Mr produce welcomes the first few arrivals to the store, Amy and Natasha! Jackson meanwhile, has gotten the crate and is about to put it on the conveyor belt Jackson loads the crate… And pushes it through! Mr produce, on the other end, receives the delivery, all locally grown produce! And by local… we mean VERY local Upstairs, Ben works on managing the banks reserves, everything is in order! 9 hours later, mr produce closes up for the night… little does he know, the truck is back, but why? Midnight delivery? Recreational driving? No! Crime!, as daisy kaboom has been behind the scenes the whole time! Using the lift she secretly had in the truck, she is able to get up to the bank… A few minutes later, KABOOM! She has blown a hole in the side of the building Daisy helps herself to the goods inside And then escapes through her secret exit, through the roof! That’s not her only secret, however As daisy enjoys her snack, she doesn’t realize she has more imminent problems… Will daisy kaboom escape? Does mr produce know about this? Stay tuned to find out!

Here we are with the latest modular I made. It is a medieval gate renovated in the eighteenth century with a decorated clock and a Pub on the side. The rear wall of the Pub coincides with an ancient medieval wall. Inside, in addition to the rooms of the pub, I've put a small room where bands can perform. The version made is only 28 studs wide as I needed it for the diorama I'm making. In this diorama some modulars will be moved by 6 studs to be able to put the sidewalk on the baseplates of the streets. This will give me the possibilty to put modulars face to face, but have a street in between that can be a 12 stud wide pedestrian street that represents those typical city center's, crowded with small shops and tourists. Obviously, during the design and implementation of the instructions, I also created the 32x32 version which appears in the gallery only as a rendering. I hope you will appreciate.

Hi everyone It's been a while since I've posted any new MOC's on Eurobricks but I wanted to show the latest project I've been working on called "Red London Telephone Box". In the past I've included miinifig scale phone box's in a couple of my other MOCs, which gave me the idea of building a much more detailed, large scale model of this British cultural icon. Although the red phone box can be found throughout the UK my model is based on an early version of the phone box called the "K2" which was designed specifically for use in London. As well as the phone box itself I've also included a red British pillar box and a street lamp complete with hanging flower baskets and plant pots. The front door can be opened to reveal a vintage telephone and detailed interior. LEGO IDEAS Thanks for checking out my latest MOC and I hope you like it. Hi all, I was quite pleased with the Lego city 2022 line-up of sets, so I decided to sell some older sets and buy a lot of 2022 sets. By doing so, I also "refresh" my Lego collection. Together with the new train sets, I decided to build a 2022 Lego city and shoot a video of it. Enjoy!

...so here's a half-finished one! ...hey, it's more than there were before, I call that a win. I used my usual inelegant method of throwing bricks at the wall and seeing what shapes work. The main thing I'm not happy with is the nose, I think it needs to be shorter but not sure what I can remove. Also not thrilled about how gappy it looks. I am happy with how I managed to add the little blue Ford logo in front though. I really don't want to change that. Also happy with the mosaic-like build on the roof. Suggestions welcome! Also, does anyone have pictures of this van's electric motors? I saw one picture but it doesn't show exactly how long they are or much details at all.
