    Mercedes Unimog Camper

Next project (while I wait for my Cabover Truck Bricklink orders to come in) is a Unimog camper. I like to use the bigger doors for my truck creations and all online MOCs used the small door so this is a complete new build. Also I have lots of LEGO service packs with the blue train doors and windows so blue it is: Inside has toilet/shower, overhead cupboard, oven and hot plates, fridge and seat/table that converts to a bed. Still have to design fuel tank, batteries, jerry cans for underside. Here is the render so far.
  3. What started out as what to do with 2 chrome fuel tanks has morphed into a monster. Also wanted to design and build a cabover truck so this is what I ended up with. Already have 75% of cab and trailer parts at home. Will get the rest plus forklift parts from Bricklink. Forklift can slide fork hoist back and forward as per prototype. Turning the air cleaner also steers the back wheel.

    MOC: Canal Street

Hello EB members. A short post of my most recent MOC, its a street alongside a canal of European influence. There are a couple of shops within the two buildings with a small grocers along the canal selling plants and various fresh items. Just the one pic this time round; As usual you can find the rest of my MOCs here Thanks again!

    [MOC] Lego City Space Rover

Wasn't fond of the small minifigure or technic rovers released this year so I wanted to build my own. Made it just in time for march, the month where everyone is building space rovers. Honestly didn't know if I should've posted this here or in the lego town theme. The top detaches to become a small Cargo tug that should be compatible with the modules seen in the big rover, the space base, and the space station sets. Nothing else can plug into the rover body though.

    Allan's Food Truck empire

I have just finished building my food truck empire. 8 USA based food trucks and 8 Italian based Piaggio Ape food/drink/toy selling trucks. Donut Food Truck: Piaggio Ape Wood Fired Pizza Truck: Has a LEGO light brick installed to simulate the pizza oven glow. Popcorn truck: The popcorn machine is from the polybag set so the corn can bounce by inserting finger thru rear door and tapping lever. Piaggio Ape Coffee Truck: Coffee machine this side. Coffee bean grinder and top opening milk fridge. With doors down.
  7. In this second episode of the series, we present our MOC “Royal Customs House / Toldboden”, which has been completed with illumination from Light My Bricks as well as some interior and exterior detailing. Our MOC is based on a real-world location (Toldboden in Aarhus, Denmark). The basement in the left side is now home to a pack of rats, which has attracted the area's cats. In the other side , the basement is haunted, so "Ghostbusters" have made their way past Toldboden to get things under control. More details in the video:

    REVIEW: 60404 Burger Truck

Here is my review on LEGO City 60404 Burger Truck: THE GOOD: Refreshing design for a food truck. Like the burger stand is actually detachable. No stickers! Nice new minifig torso with the shop logo print. THE NOT SO GOOD: None. Great small set and I like it very much. I'm genuinely surprised with no stickers, this open up opportunity to buy the printed pieces later to build a burger shop. The design of the prints are great and it's love they have the logo on the minifig torso too. It's actually a breath of fresh air with this design as usually you get a similar design in LEGO city food truck. And allowing the burger shop to be detachable, you can easily replace the burger stand with other shops or features utilising this sporty looking truck =) Really can't find anything negative about this set, and it's a good price too. And I managed to buy this with a 25% discount, so I'm very satisfied and totally recommended to everyone.

  11. The 709.600 studs foundation of our LEGO layout is finished, and the first part of the layout is now completed. The central part of the finished section is based on our previous MOC "Møllestien", which depicts a real world location (Møllestien in Aarhus, Denmark). The MOC has previously been on display at the Christmas Exhibition at the local department store Salling, but has has now been modified and integrated into our own layout. In our new version, Møllestien is surrounded by train tracks and landscaping, and all houses are illuminated by LEDs from Light My Bricks. Compared to the original version, four additional houses have been added, covering the posts for the upper level of the layout. As shown in the video, the full layout consists of three levels. Everything is built in LEGO - including the posts for the upper levels and the upper levels themselves. A lot of technic elements were built into posts and upper levels to provide strength and stiffness, so that heavy MOCs can be added without risk of collapse. More details in the video: Pictures:
  12. Hello to everyone! Today I would like to introduce my new modular: it is a T-shaped building, a solution that allows me to create some interesting views as well as allowing me to create a bit of movement with classic modulars. On the ground floor there is a take away pizzeria, something typical of our towns but which I think is catching on almost everywhere. Inside the pizzeria, in addition to the counter and the electric oven, there is a pasta press, a pantry and a fridge for drinks, as well as a car for home delivery. In addition to the pizzeria, there is a small post office with everything needed to handle mail, including a scale for weighing parcels. At the back, the T shape allowed me to create an underpass with two street lamps hanging on the wall. Above there is a multi-storey apartment. The entrance coincides with an extremely bright room in which I have placed a wicker lounge, a small desk and many plants and flowers. I wanted to give the impression of a very welcoming and natural area. Initially I saw it as a terrace. The entrance leads to a large kitchen and then through a room with stairs to the second floor, to a living room with TV. Here too there is a plant above the bookcase. On the second floor there is the double bedroom with rather classic furniture: a massive, curved wardrobe and a wooden bed. Also on this floor there is a second bedroom for the couple’s son who is a gamer and has a nice tower desktop PC and a bathroom with shower. In the corridor there is also a wardrobe with the washing machine inside and between the two bedrooms a bench with other plants including a bonsai. On the ceiling there is a trap door with a folding ladder which opens by extracting a pin located on the side of the building and gives access to the attic. The building ends in a medieval tower which according to my idea has been incorporated into the building below and from the attic it is possible to access the roof. Two construction techniques particularly excited me when creating the building. The first concerns the front cornice that I created with R2-D2’s legs alternating with the shoulders of the Nexo Knights. I’ve wanted to use droid legs as an architectural element for a long time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them used in this way. The second concerns the battlements of the tower with Ghibelline style battlements. I would like to say a few words about the project I am carrying out. It is a city diorama measuring approximately 13.5x6 baseplates, all in all a decent surface area, in which you will find a part of the ancient/medieval city located on a hilly area and the rest of the city in the valley. The downstream part, according to my plans, should represent the most recent part of the historic center, therefore buildings from the 17th-19th century which in some cases still have medieval remnants. Thus we have a medieval tower (K8004), a pedestrian gate of clear eighteenth-century design with a pub (K8007), as well as a medieval vehicle gate (soon to be designed), connected by ancient walls which acted as external walls for buildings overlooking to an avenue. This avenue will then lead to a park and subsequently to the ancient part with different solutions to be able to reproduce the irregularity of the ancient buildings with the typical lanes and streets that represent this type of urban environment. Beyond the walls downstream, therefore, we will have much more regular modular buildings in the Lego standard with a central street that represents a typical walking and shopping street. In this case I’m making sure to position the modulars Lego, making changes to complete the interiors and exteriors, without distorting them architecturally. The furnitures of several Lego modulars can already be downloaded for free from Rebrickable. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/albums/72177720313458661

    [MOC] Buckle’s Mining Outpost

@LittleJohn and I collaborated on this build for the “Place of Business” category in the Wandering Skies contest. It was a challenging model due to the numerous additions off all sides meaning you couldn't simply build from the bottom up. Was a nice change of pace trying a large steampunk model though! It's complete on all sides, and through some of the doorways you can catch glimpses of interiors, though we didn't have time to fully complete all of them. R.G. Buckle’s mining outpost travels far and wide in search of valuable ores and metals on the many floating islands of Wandering Skies. The rugged and functional mobile outpost contains storage silos, a massive smelting furnace, and docks for their scouting and mining airships. Once they have collected a large supply of metals, the crew navigates back to civilization to sell their goods. Additional images on Brickbuilt.

    (MOC/MOD)-Pet Shop Furnitures

Hello everyone, today I present to you another mod of a Lego modular. This time it's Pet Shop 10218. With a view to wanting to complete all the Modulars by Lego for my diorama, I started thinking about how to exploit the few spaces available. I must say that the apartment above the shop gave me the biggest headaches, as there was very little space there and although I managed to use all the original pieces, I had to add a 6x10 plate on the top floor. This allowed me to move the bed, add a small closet and the bathroom. On the first floor, however, I completed the furnishings with an armchair, another chair and a guitar. As for the painter's apartment, I was very hesitant to represent it as an apartment under renovation, but in the end I decided to furnish this one too. On the ground floor I created a recessed cabinet for the television and moved the couch towards the front. This way I was able to raise a wall to place a small kitchen near the bathroom and a corner table. On the first floor, where the painter is working, there is the bedroom, while on the top floor I left an attic area, but on the terrace I placed a barbeque. Hope you like it. The stud.io model is freely downloadable from Rebrickable. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/albums/72177720312356334 https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-161481/kevin8/10218-pet-shop-furnitures/#admin
  15. Hi everyone, to do something lighter and to be able to position this modular in the diorama I'm designing, I decided to add some details to the back of the building and to complete the furnitures of the various floors. Without altering the original construction it would have been almost impossible. I got away with it by simply moving the carpet and the clock on the second floor. In any case I managed to create a kitchen in the bay window and a living room in front of the fireplace on the first floor. On the second one I built a bathroom and a bedroom. I think I've found a good compromise. In any case you can download the model from Rebrickable for free. If you like it or have any comments, please let me know. Ah, I managed to close the unsightly space in the turret roof. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/albums/72177720311560042/with/53222704953 https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-159531/kevin8/10185-green-grocers-furnitures/#details

    [MOC] Olympic Gardens

Welcome to the Olympic Gardens! I'm by no means an engineer, but I started out wanting to create a beautiful domed European-style modular. There was going to be a tower, and a balcony, and an arcade along the front, to enhance my city layout. I got to the bottom of the dome and it did NOT translate well to the tower portion. The angles were terrible! So instead, I pivoted and turned it into a garden pavilion. And I like the result so much better! Some of my favorite parts are the planters holding the cypress trees. The main portion is a technic piece that makes a really cool textured planter. I'm a big fan of gardens and fountains, so there's tons of flowers and greenery in the finished build, and a main fountain up on the level with the pavilion. The cow horns near the bottom of the model (under the arches) were originally supposed to be teacups, but I didn't realize until too late that the pieces were too big for the gaps until later. So it's just a cool bit of statuary now. I plan to try and recreate this MOC in real bricks soon, as soon as I can order new bricks. It has more of a diorama style footprint than I normally do in my MOCs, so I can display the finished model on my shelf. There's tons of little details hidden in the scene as well, such as animals and lost coins, and bees everywhere. The flower bushes in the planters at the top of the stairs utilize a cool little piece with three studs, where I inserted the vines and green wolverine claws. The koi tiles are my absolute favorite, so I knew I had to include some in the build. I also like to make up primary stories to go with the MOCs I build, and for this one, the lady gets a text to meet her friend the artist at the park for a portrait painting. I also like the little grapes in the garden pavilion, they give it more of a pastoral atmosphere that I like to see in real-life gardens. The only thing that's really silly is that the balustrade on the side is a bit off center compared to the main balustrades, but that's something I can tinker with more when I build it in real bricks. Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any comments! :) Edit: I've created a time-lapse of the digital build, you can see it below: It took a lot longer to edit than to take all the photos, video software likes to keep crashing when you add 2,766 photos to it and try to shorten the frame length all at once!

    Rava Restaurant

Dear all, it’s been a while. This is my latest Moc. I called it Rava Restaurant. There’s a restaurant (Europe restaurant), a Lug association in the middle and a Clothes’ Shop. The building is a modular building with some bizzarre touches since it has to fill a specific place in my town (Rava Town). The back of the building is more detailed than usual because it has to keep a presente on the square behind (wip). The balcony is prominent to fix the gap with the Tower Museum. Hope you like it! 😀😀😀 Bye bye! Lego City Layout - Rava Town 2023 part 1https://youtu.be/STRcAJ14Fl0

    [MOC/Collab] The Lost City

A collab for the Silhouette Category of the 2023 Summer Joust with Sean Mayo, Carter W, Eli Willsea, Micah Beideman and myself. Loosely based off of some concept art released with the announcement of Alto's Oddysey: The Lost City. Instead of making a 6 stud depth build myself, I thought it would be fun to have 6 builders build 1 stud depth "layers" and then compile them into one seamless image, and this is the result! The layers were built by the builders as follows: Dk Brown: Sean (Because Grant had to bail last minute) Reddish Brown: Me Dark Tan: Carter Sand Blue: Eli Medium Blue: Micah Medium Azure: Sean And now that I've dissed Grant for bailing last minute, I can also thank Grant for "breaking into" Eli's house and taking pictures of Eli's layer while Eli was out of town so that we could make it by the deadline! To Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior be the glory!

    [MOC] 00s Police Interceptor (6-wide)

6 studs wide Police Interceptor from the early 2000s as known from countless movie classics.Features: -Compatible with narrow new road plates -Fits 4 minifigures sitting side by side -Doors, engine hood, trunk open -Backbench separated by a divider wall -Spacious trunk that fits 2 helmets, 2 handcuffs & 2 batons -Rotatable searchlights -Police computer & shotgun After an almost decade-long hiatus, I got back into Lego in early 2022. Considering how much had changed in the meantime, I made it into my first major project to deliver something that to me appeared to be much wanted, yet not available: Minifigure-scale (or close) cars that fit minifigures side by side, are narrow enough for the new road plates and have full functionality (such as doors, engine hood, trunk). At the same time, I wanted them to be good-looking and stable enough to be handled easily. I'm very pleased at the results so far, please let me know what you think. Instructions are available on Rebrickable; they're quite detailed yet cheap (compared to the effort): https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-153012/Perfectionist/full-size-police-interceptor-6-wide/#details

  23. In general the new arctic/explorers wave is pretty interesting and surely nicely designed. The multitude of included animals is really a crowning jewel of this wave. I have however very mixed feelings about the "ratio" of arctic and underwater sets in this wave. We had an arctic AND seperate underwater waves back in 2020, so it's a nice refresh. Still, I feel that the "arctic" part is underepresented here with only 2 sets being stricly arctic - 60376 Arcitc Explorer Snowmobile and 60378 Arctic Explorer Truck and Mobile Lab. And even with the Arctic Explorer "Truck" it's not a truck. It's not even an expeditionary vehicle. It's a snow-plow - a service vehicle. It looks great, sure, but it misses the point in my opinion. The rest 3 sets are all underwater/water themed and they only share a color scheme with arctic sets: 60377 Explorer Diving Boat which has tropical looking seabed side-build with turtles and a shark. That's like completely opposite of arctic theme here. 60379 Deep-Sea Explorer Submarine once again a strictly underwater themed set with no hint of association with the arctic explorers. Also way overpriced IMO. Only the 60368 Arctic Explorer Ship bears some hints of "arctic" theme with some minifigs wearing warm caps and caps. So in the end only 2 out of 5 sets of the arctic wave are really arctic themed. I just wish for at least one normal wheeled "exploration vehicle" set in the arctic theme, something like 60035 or 60195. Do you guys feel the same about this wave?

    MOC: The Metropolitan club

Hello fellow EB members, its been a while but I finally started building again and have put this together in the last couple of months: The Metropolitan club - A 30's inspired bar and nightspot with elements from Art-Deco, streamline and some decopunk fantasy too. A few images to share; They are also hosted on my flickr below; https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ I'll try to answer as best any comments on building techniques or any feedback! Regards Andrew
  25. "This is the police! Come out with your hands up, we have you surrounded! Surrender now, or we are going to use force!" These two identical models were heavily inspired by a Checker Taxicab build I found on Rebrickable by user Labronco Brick Designs. (This builder had reverse engineered the taxi from the LEGO City Undercover video game) I changed the model around a lot to create a '50s police car. This car isn't based on anything too specific (but apparently there WERE Checker police cars in Springfield, Michigan at one time!), but it does get the general "look" of the stereotypical 1950s police car correct, from the single red 'gumball' light on top to the streamlined styling. You can see the original builder's model (alongside a whole bunch of other cool cars from the video game) and their accompanying free instructions here. The rear of the car with the stylized taillights and non-functional trunk latch. Each vehicle seats two: an officer upfront, and a suspect behind. That's all I have for these models, and thoughts / comments / questions / feedback in general would be appreciated!
