    Brick Shenanigans - Star Wars

Brick Shenanigans - Star Wars Hello everyone over at Eurobricks! For the past few weeks, I've been working on a solo man stopmotion animation project based upon Star Wars. What inspired me to do this genre (comedy) was the Robot Chicken series of Star Wars episodes which made me want to see if it could be done in Lego form. I hope you like this episode, I plan to do more but in different themes in the future (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones etc). Thanks for taking time to watch the video, if you like what you see, feel free to subscribe. We have more exciting projects to come! Feel free to give your opinions below. P.s. Greenscreen was planned for this video, although a few mistakes prevented this from happening. *NOTE - Can't seem to get the video to display in the post, but rather only in link form.
  3. Hello guys! I've got a new stopmotion for you! Tough superheroes survival racing championship! Check it out! :) In case you like it don't forget to thumb up!
  4. Hi all! I have recently bought a Dino-Attack T-rex for an animation i'm planning on doing in the near future. It's such a beautiful and underrated model that i really want to do it justice onscreen. However, my issue with the model is the articulation; with the legs, arms and head all being on exo-force style ratchet joints. (NOT my image. Belongs to -R8- on Flickr. For demonstration purposes only) Would anyone know a way to mod the creature so that the legs retain their strength but enable smoother motion? I'm considering sanding down the ratchets to a point where there is still friction but no places for the leg to 'snap' into. My only worry with this is that the friction will be lost and the legs will become loose. Any suggestions? They would be much appreciated! Many thanks :)
  5. Check out my latest animation involving Tahu, Uniter of fire: Umarak, The Hunter: And finally, Lewa, Uniter of Jungle: All videos took about a day's worth of work to make. I used Dragonframe 3.6, Adobe After Effects CC, and Sony Vegas Pro 11. I intend to do all seven of the 2016 winter wave sets.

    Hello from a Brickfilmer

Greetings, My name is Jayko, though in the past and in other forums I've been known as Jayko8646. My favorite theme is Castle, and I'm primarily a Brickfilmer. The last film which I made with my friend was a commissioned piece in which a live concert band performed a "sinfonia" beneath a screen with this playing on it: But we'll be starting work on another, more narrative film this month. Looking forward to being a part of the forum! -Jayko

A few years ago I created a Pingu project on LEGO Ideas, but it didn't reach 10000 supporters before the project expired. Now the project is up again for a second try, so please have a look at it here, and I would be happy if you gave it your support! :) For this new project I have also added new photos of the interiors of Pingus igloo home. Hope you like it! Noot noot!

  9. Hello users! I'm glad to show you my first lego movie: A funny short film about the Lego Star Wars 75099 set: Rey's Speeder! Enjoy! More to come!
  10. Hello Eurobricks! My name is Isaac, I am a student living in England and have been playing with lego since I was 4, like many of you, i'm sure! I've been doing animations on Youtube sporadically for a good 6 years now, mostly related to the hit BBC show Doctor Who. However I don't like to feel limited to it. A lot of the lego creations that I share will be made as sets or props, like some train projects i am working on; but I will occasionally enjoy creating ideas for commercial sets. Who doesn't! I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and suggestions with everyone, and I hope I can be a help where I can! All the best, Isaac
  11. Hello! This project took me around 1 month to finish. One month for 50'ish seconds movie. That includes 5 days of actual shooting. Thinking, planning, writing, editing, montage and of course building took the rest of that time. Warning! I suggest to watch movie before continue reading because text contains spoilers. Ah, and it might be worth to watch 2 times, because action is pretty fast and can be hard to notice all the flavors. 12. At the end of tonight's Newsnight on BBC2, there was a fan LEGO cartoon! It was pretty well done. If you're in the UK, you should be able to catch it soon on iPlayer. You might also be able to see it on BBC America - I'm not sure. Elsewhere, you'll probably need a proxy server.

    LEGO Mars Mission: EPISODE 1

Hi everyone! I made Episode 1 of the Mars Mission Series! Check it out!
  14. Hello there, I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, but I am a brickfilmer, and few friends and I would like to create a Lego animation which features dialogue and also facial animation. In the past this has typically been done in post, but I would like to give it a try actually manipulating the faces. I came across some really terrific decal templates by Capt. Kirk a number of years ago, but they do not contain all of the basic mouth positions essential to animation: Just wondering whether there are any graphic designers out there who might like to help me out? And if you'd like to see the sort of animation my friends and I have done in the past, here is an example: Cheers, Jayko

    Is LEGO dying?

I've noticed a lot of people on youtube who do reviews of Lego Sets often complain that the new sets are not really very special and maybe even overpriced. Personally, I completely agree with them! What do you think?

  19. I'm back with my first public LEGO stop-motion animation! This is a music video I made of the song God of Possibilities by Brian Free & Assurance. I've had experience with a few Brickfilms (some of them have remained a work-in-progress since years ago), and I have another one I've been working on recently that's coming soonish! I also apologize for the prolific 4:3 format; next time I will aim for 16:9 widescreen. Animated using iMovie: 6 FPS (Frames Per Second) Music: God of Possibilities, from album Unashamed, by Brian Free & Assurance. Visit their channel here: – Enjoying my content? Brick Squad saying hi!

Hi everyone, New to saying hello! Also we would like to share our YouTube channel with the Eurobricks community. Any feedback would be great. We are now working on bigger sets as we've just invested in new lighting and a Canon 70D DSLR. Our latest build is set 41005 (Friends Heartlake High). Many Thanks! Brick Squad
  22. Hello guys! I came up with a nice idea, let's see if it starts to fly or not... ;) What I had in mind was to create an awesome Lego-animation trailer about the Thrawn-trilogy (Heir to the Empire) that would be released slightly before the official Episode VII -movie in celebration of the new Star Wars -movie. The thing is that to make it to be awesome, all of the cutscenes should contain only MOCs. Also it should have many frames per second to make a smooth appearance. This apparently sounds very difficult and workful and so it is. Actually there is no one on the Earth I guess that would have all the necessary MOCs for the effort. So what I propose is to make this trailer as a team work. There are many highly skilled builders that have made some fabulous scenes or vehicles of the Thrawn-trilogy already. And of course the ones that could still build one scene in due time, but not all. If enough enthusiastic persons would agree to make this, all it would take would be to animate a very short clip or two by each individual from the scene they have built. You know what they are like in real trailers, something like less than 5 to 10 seconds maximum and cut to the next shot. Of course, there are a couple of key persons that should put here some more effort. - One would be the director (not me) that should have some experience on animating and leading projects. The director should also hold contact to the builders. - Script writer. I can help with this, but in such a big community, maybe here is someone with some professional experience actually? - A semi-professional editor would do good, too, because there should be some vehicles flying around. Then we would need the MOC-builders. Luckily as I said we already have some and I know here are many super talented builders/animators so this shouldn't be impossible. A couple of examples I know: Thrawn's Command Room http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=107447 Hyllyard in Myrkr Cloning Chamber in Mount Tantiss http://www.eurobrick...pic=101238&st=0 Vehicles: X-Wing, Imperial Shuttle, TIE-Interceptor, Speeder Bike, AT-ST, Probe Droid Vehicle: Y-Wing http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84780 So, what do you think? Do we have the necessary enthusiasm and are there persons for this project in this forum? If there is something you would like to do, make a post beneath and let's see if this can actually work or not... ;D Personally I can help to make contacts with the people. And I can also provide a busy supply of detailed MOC vehicles. Imperial Star Destroyer and AT-AT on the way as next. -Samppu
