THE MASK OF ZORRO left its mark to my childhood in 1998. At my young age, I was pretty impressed what I watched. The way that this mysterious, dark hero with his black mask and cape was fighting for peasents against Spanish dons. The scenes, costumes, acting, story... they were all attracted me. Before I decided to make a Zorro moc, I planned to build an old Spanish manor, but later on I thought, why not. About the movie, I find many similarities with Pirates of The Caribbean so if you haven't watched Zorro but like PoC, give a chance. ~Z~

Curious if anyone has used the Build together feature in the Lego Builder app yet and what they thought of it? What set did you use? How many people? Were they all AFOLs? Did it 'work'? Was it fun? It seems odd that any concept of 'togetherness' begins with each member on their own mobile device but I suppose this is a necessary evil given the subject matter. I've always tried to get my friends in on the fun, especially when building the big Technic design released each year around my birthday. Admittedly, there have been varying levels of interest over the years... This year, everyone asked me what I wanted for my 50th birthday (you mean, apart from pretending this milestone isn't actually happening?!?) Naturally I feel inclined to force them through building 42146 with me. What do you think?

The interesting geometrical shapes of Broadway Tower in Worcestershire, UK inspired us to this MOC, which consists of approximately 35.000 elements. Made together with Ulf Andersen The layout is inhabited by minifigures and creatures from the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings universes. The MOC is illuminated by 52 LEDs from Light My Bricks.

[MOC] Mad Max's Peacemaker (C-model of 42069)

This is an alternative build (C-model) inspired by the Peacemaker from Mad Max's Fury Road (2015 film) The instructions are 2 PDF files. The first, includes the steps to build the chassis (this is a replica of the car tank built and used for the movie) The second PDF includes the instructions on how to complete the model by building the bodywork. I included a mount base for display. Model is functional with or without the bodywork. I made an effort to make as realistic as possible and therefore the model is manual. i will upload versions of this using Power Functions and Control +, But I am working on other models for now. G'day all! My name is Moz77 and I'm from Australia. Long term lurker on this fantastic site, but a new member as of last weekend! I've been collecting Lego really since I was born (in '77), but back out of some long dark years about 5 years ago. I collect mainly classic town (combined with the modulars and the odd other modern city and creator sets that fit into town layouts) and vintage trains, but will soon expand to pirates. MOC: Launch Complex 39 - Space Shuttle era, anno 1980 - 1:110

This is a MOC I designed during spring 2020 and originally published in the Bricks in Space Facebook group (original post) and on the Bricksin.space web page, but I want to publish it here as well. Inspired by all great 1:110 scaled space moc's in the Bricks in space group, I realized that there were no accurate scale model of the Space Shuttle's Launch Complex 39 so I decided to give it a try myself. During my research I found that there is basically no construction blueprints published for the Launch complex, making scale modeling very hard, but after much searching I managed to track down a demolision plan which accurately described the complex open frame structure and it measures. These plans gave me the opportunity to model the MOC with all major beams in the right place and get the model accurate in scale down to (most of the time) +/- one stud. To make sure that there was a Shuttle, MLP and crawler available to use together with the launch complex, the MOC is designed to match KingsKnight's excelent 1:110 scale Space shuttle and Eiffelman's Crawler transporter and Mobile Launch Platform. Together the four models form a nice display with almost 20000 pieces. About the MOC I’ve been aiming at the look the complex had around 1980 concerning colours and equipment level. The model consists of the Fixed Service Structure, the Rotating Service Structure, The WSC Tower and 9099 building, the Northern Pipe Bridge and the East access towers. Everything is placed on a base representing the top of the launch pad and flame trench. The FSS is inspired by Nathan Readioff's LUT and the Hammerhead crane on top is his design, which he kindly let me use in this model. The RSS was a really complicated thing to design. The open frame structure is hard to do in Lego and right now there is some weak spots in the design that must be resolved, especially the connection of the support legs and the main structure. There are a few angels there which is not easily handled with LEGO. But overall, I’m quite happy with the design, even if all the catwalks and staircases were driving me crazy for a while. The RSS will rotate around the hinging column just as it did in real life. This is still a work in progress. Whenever I get some time, I plan for doing two additional versions of this MOC. One 1990's version which will be gray and the orbiter weather protection system, hurricane lock, and other modifications, and one 2000's version without the hammerhead crane. Hey guys! I have a new MOC to share. This was a commissioned build that will be turned into a full kit for bricktraindepot.com. Will be doing additional full kits for Nickel Plate #765 and Pere Marquette #1225 as well. Pre-orders for all three kits will open on September 1st! If you purchase the C&O kit, $100 will be donated to Kentucky Steam to help with the restoration of #2716. Anyways, about the engine. The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway's K-4 class were a group of ninety 2-8-4 steam locomotives purchased during and shortly after World War II. Unlike many other railroads in the United States, the C&O chose to nickname this class "Kanawha", after the river in West Virginia, rather than "Berkshire", after the region in New England. During the 1940s, the C&O K-4's were being built to haul heavy freight services and were used mostly for high speed freight and passenger services throughout the north-eastern regions of the United States and part of Ontario, Canada by the Pere Marquette Railway. C&O Class K-4s were one of the few recognizable 2-8-4 (Berkshires) classes in North America along with the Pere Marquette Class N (road numbers 1201-1239), and Nickel Plate Road Class S (road numbers 715-779). Both the PM Class N and NKP Class S were manufactured by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio. NKP 779 was the last standard-gauge Berkshire to be built in the world, and the last steam locomotive built by Lima Locomotive Works. My model features 2x L motors in the boiler with custom battery box in the tender and all specialty wire custom finished, 3D printed XL drivers, BrickTracks wheel in roller bearings, custom side rods by TrainedBricks, and decals by OkBrickWorks. I've finished the physical build and have been doing testing while waiting for OKBrickWorks to print my decals and wheels. Hope you enjoy the renders for now. More pictures will be coming soon! Hi All! I'd like to share with you my latest take on the Castle theme. It's called Castle of Lord Afol and the Black Knights. I tried to keep it classic in general appearance, modern in detail, playable and sturdy. The latter features are yet to be proven, as it's still only a digital MOC While it may look a bit modest compared to some contemporary MOCs, it is so for a reason - it contains "only" 3000 pieces, which is a limit for Lego Ideas entries. And while some of the MOCs around boast insane shapes, this one is quite solid and, despite the name, I think it could be built without a big problem by a 10-year-old with some practice with Lego. Hi everyone, I'm Arthur, but my friends generally call me Thur. I'm a 38 year Dutch guy, married and father of 2 (boy and girl). Since my son reached the age of 4 a few months ago, his interest switched from Duplo to Lego and specifically City. He might me a bit stimulated by his dad ?. This re-ignited a long lost love for Lego within me, something many of you will recognise. In daily life I'm a purchasing manager for a wholesale group in beverages. I love to practice speed cycling to empty my head and keep my body in shape. I've become member of this forum to fuel the fire in me and learn more on to makee nice Lego buildings and cities. I'd love to make a nice city in the near future and hope to instill the love for Lego in my son and daughter ? I haven't got much experience in building MOC's, as a kid I was a real instructions builder. So I've got a long way to go to create buildings similar to the ones I see around. Which’ll probably still occur lol! I also decided to make a little guessing game of what it will be and to spice it up a bit I upped the ante by asking what the full title of the finalized project will be. Sometimes all the pieces seem to fall into place...I wouldn't know, this was another brain-bending build. The interior is mostly hollow for now, and I need to nudge some parts into place, but it's 99% done. This is my very own Tantive IV Main Corridor with Airlock Doorway MOC built of LEGO bricks: Served as an Alderaanian Diplomatic Cruiser, the CR90 Corvette TANTIVE IV played a central role in the events at the beginning of the Galactic Civil War, serving as Princess Leia Organa's personal starship in the leadup to the Battle of Yavin ... Tantive IV Main Corridor features the iconic round shape design for the walls, including very accurate wall-cubes and the iconic shaped side columns, as well as a smoothly sliding Airlock Doorway, that reveals an indicated Imperial Hallway behind to recreate the Borading Assault by using a pretty clever technique. The Hinge-mechanism allows you to get better access to the Corridor, and serves as a switch, so you can either close the Corridor, or open it which makes it easier to take shots of scenes with minifigures and reenact moments from Star Wars: A New Hope or Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The entire build is extremly sturdy which allows you to grab the whole build without falling apart, and every detail is securely locked in place. Hi All, Long time collecter, first time poster from Geelong Australia. I've recently begun collecting Lego again as an AFOL (with my kids as the excuse!).. At the moment i'm mad about Lego City Trains, and started the collection with 60197 and 60198. Hoping that lego will bring out some new models soon. I've also setup a new track at home in the dedicated lego room.. And sometimes I even let the kids play too. I'm currently collecting track, so i can build an outdoor layout. Hello everyone! The first couple of AFOL Designer Sets from BrickLink have arrived to the people who pre-ordered them, so I thought it's time to make a review of my design, The LEGO® Story (which now has a set number too, BL19008). The postman gave me a classic brown box, with the BrickLink logo on it. After I opened it, I was finally able to see the beautiful, high quality box design. It has a white sleeve, with a couple of images of the four vignettes, the BrickLink logo, the 60 years anniversary logo from LEGO and a nice sticker, with "Exclusive LEGO element included" label. When you remove this white part of the box, you can see a nice backdrop photo for the model (on the inner side of the white sleeve), and of course the matte black box, with the BrickLink logo, and a nice brick pattern. The box is closed with a special shiny sticker, which includes the set number and name, and the (user)name of the AFOL who designed it. Let's open this black box! You can see here a thank you message from BrickLink and The LEGO Group, the exclusive element, the numbered bags, and the building instruction: Here is the exclusive element! - 39789pb01 The set contains 9 bigger, and several smaller bags (inside the bigger ones, for the smaller LEGO pieces), which are numbered similarly to the official LEGO set bags. A1 and A2 contains the pieces for the old workshop, B1 and B2 for the old moulding machine, C1 and C2 for the designer's office, and finally D1, D2, and D3 contains the pieces for the modern factory with the big moulding machine. The building instruction booklet is really high quality, just like the ones which you get with the bigger Creator Expert sets these days. I believe most of you have already seen the set on different sites, but here are some photos of the final model, and an official unboxing video made by BrickLink! Official unboxing video:
