Time for another little MOC, and this little BMW E30 3 series is ready to roll. Free instructions are available at rebrickable.com. The Touring model features: Steering with HOG Rear wheel drive I-6 engine Four opening doors Opening hood/bonnet Opening truck/boot Lime! An I-6, but only 5 pistons move. Has been a while since I last showed some of my creations. I recently did an alternate model for the 42123 set with a special functionality and wondered if something like that could not also be done with the parts from 42093. And this is the result, the MDB attaccabrighe - an Italian fastback with gull-wing doors and a high-powered supercharged I4 engine (currently not fully color correct because of unavailable parts and also still WIP): Now about the special functionality: It's engine is swappable! So far you can use an I3, a V6 and a V8 as replacement engine for the stock I4 engine (all engines also compatible with the AMX 4s). The original I4 of the AMX 4 Turbo and the original V5 of the AMX 4 Biturbo can't be used unmodified in the attaccabrighe though, as it's engine bay is 2 studs narrower than the one of the AMX 4s and the V5 also requires a different crank shaft. The engines are attached to either two axle holes or two pin holes. The attaccabrighe will eventually be made available on Rebrickable and also receive a selection of aftermarket parts (like the ones for the AMX 4s) and maybe also some OEM modifications (e.g. wide rear wheels!) Sports cars like the AMX 4s or the attaccabrighe of course also need an opponent apart from themselves. And there is one car that has enough potential to keep up with them - the MM Hammond Executive. Once I got a veird idea to compare the exisiting "mid-scale" cars to see how they match (or don't in size, wheelbase and other dimensions). Here is the result of overlaying the folloeing cars: 42093 Chevrolet Corvette 42098 "Fake Chevrolet Camaro" 42123 McLaren Senna 42138 Mustang Shelby GT500 I used the front-left wheelarch (panted in red) as an anchor and that is what I get: The biggest surptise for me was that Senna is not that low as may look like - its roof is even the higest one. Only "Fake Camaro" is higer, but due to lifter rear axle. Another discovery - the rear overhang of Shelby GT500 (I saw it as disproportionally short) is just only 1 stud shorter than McLaren's one Corvette's front overhang appeared only 1-stud shorthet than McLaren's "nose" And now the wheelbases: early-built Chevrolettes shares the same wheelbase, than +1 stud longer goes Shelby and once again +1 stud longer goes McLaren -

Hi folks, I want to present my latest alternate build for 2021 to complete my lineup of 2021 alternates - the McLaren 600LT Spider made from 42123 McLaren Senna GTR. Instructions are available on rebrickable Follow this link for more content and other builds. Rebuild the 42123 McLaren Senna GTR into another McLaren - the McLaren 600LT Spider. As an alternate build, this McLaren 600LT Spider uses only pieces from the 42123 main set (Senna GTR). Other parts or spare parts are not required. Parts with stickers applied can be reused without any problem. The McLaren 600LT Spider uses 754 parts (more than 90%) from the set 42123 McLaren Senna GTR. Garbage Truck upgradable with Power Functions

My most technical and realistic model so far, the european-style Garbage Truck, fits in scale all other trucks with 49.5x20mm tires in the Technic-Theme, like the 42024 Container Truck, 42078 Mack Anthem, 42098 Car Transporter or 42112 Cement Mixer. With 1294 parts, it fits the parts count for mid-sized trucks. Instructions can be found on rebrickable. Most medium blue and dark blue parts comes from the set 42064 and 42066. If you take a look at the parts list, feel free to replace the colors and build this truck in any color scheme you want. Functions and Features: HoG steering openable cabin and doors 2-way-gearbox to select between opening the tailgate and activate the garbage press mechanism to hook the included garbage container and unload the trash all functions are operated manually, but the unloading of garbage (bottles in this case) is ready to be motorized My coolest linkage mechanism so far makes it possible to hook up the container, open the lid and unload the trash at the same time... ...as well the working garbage press Impressions: Ready for Power Functions: This model is designed to make the functions (those selected by gearbox) to be motorized. Hello, Hereby I'd like to present you my first MOC. It's a model of a DAF XF 105 with a Krone cooling trailer. The trailer is not really a model build by Krone, but it's inspired by several trailers. The scale is the same as TLG's midscale trucks. The tractor uses the same fifth wheel setup as the Mack Anthem. Hello, after quite some time I have found my way to Eurobricks forum... And even if it's not brand new anymore, in my first post I would still like to introduce my biggest MOC: The Lego Technic Launch Umbilical Tower (LUT) for the Lego Ideas Saturn V with integrated Crawler. Special feature: For the basic variant, you only need the parts from three Technic sets: 42055 BWE, 42082 RTC and 42098 car transporter. With the given parts from these three sets, I tried to match the proportions and add details as good as possible. As I dearly missed some details (e.g. the fuel pipes), I added some upgrades to the LUT. But this means to leave the parts bank of the three mentioned sets, and add some more parts. So far I have upgrades for the fuel pipes, a red crane front, more red parts at the tower, and better looking launch pad surface. Dear all, I show you my latest alternative model: Scania truck and steering trailer. The truck is a Scania Next Generation in 1:21 scale. It features: - HOG steering - opening doors - tilting cab - fake V8 engine - adjusting rear height It is in the same scale as my Volvo FH truck The trailer is a flatbed trailer with 2 steering axles. [TLCB Lockdown][C-model] VOMAK AT4-V8 Attack Helicopter

This model was the result of a choice I had to make. I could either come up with an entry for the Eurobricks small car contest, or I could enter the TLCB Lockdown Competition. I really didn't feel inspired to make a small car, so I went with making a C model. I chose 42098, largely because of the fact that it was the only set I hadn't started to mix into my large collection. Initially, I was going to build some kind of wheeled vehicle, but then I hit a real builder's block. At that point, I was looking at the small wheel arches, and thought that it looked kind of like the bottom parts of an attack helicopter cockpit. After I realized that, I made the cockpit section, and got going from there. This helicopter is ultimately a nonesuch, and combines design elements from a number of real and fictional helicopters, including the Hellhound helicopter from Patlabor 2, and a design I found on Deviantart called the Fujin, which was designed by MeganeRid, The rotors spin, obviously, but they also have collective pitch control, which was very hard to implement given the parts available in the set. 42098 includes a shockingly small selection of gears and other technical bits, so I had to get very creative. The rotors are at their lowest position in this picture. The collective does not use a turntable, but instead uses a brick built solution that hearkens back to the very first Technic helicopter, set 852. The actual control for this function is a lever with a red bushing, on the right of the photo. This is the blades at maximum pitch, which better shows the collar that is used to simulate a swash plate. The second most major function is the complex landing gear. A 12z gear at the end of both wings controls this function, which uses worm gears to prevent the gear from collapsing. The first pic shows the gear retracted for flight, the second and third show the gear down for landing. The last set of functions relate to the gun pod, mounted under the fuselage. The pod can be traversed 90 degrees to either side, and will clear the landing gear towers. This is controlled by a 12z gear located behind the air intakes. The gun will also elevate from horizontal to almost vertical, using a knob on the back of the pod. An underbelly view, showing the gun pod, as well as part of the rotor drivetrain. The rotor is spun by the 2 12z gears on the tail. The gun pod, up close. The rubber connectors on the forward fuselage are actually a travel lock, and can hold the gun in place when not in use. Maximum elevation. Or is this depression? I can't decide how you'd define this. On the tarmac. The landing gear do work, but I also built a stand so that this heli can be posed as if in flight, with the gear retracted. Some up close pictures: This detail is actually important. As most of you have probably noticed, this helicopter has no tail rotor, and is not coaxial, so what gives? My vision is that a real version of this helicopter would use a NOTAR system, which uses a ducted fan to effectively replace a tail rotor. That's what the large vents on the tail are supposed to be for. Now, in terms of scale, this model is quite large. CamelHog the hedgehog and Spam for scale. One last beauty shot: The color scheme may not be very military, but I'd chalk that up to this being an airshow/display team livery. All in all, I am quite happy with this model, it was a real challenge to make in the limits of the parts I had, so much so was actually running out of 3L pins, but it came together nicely, and the color scheme actually worked out a lot better than I expected it to. Now, on to the contest. Stay safe out there, folks. P.S. I'll give a shout out to the first person who is able to guess where the manufacturer's name of this heli came from. -
42098 - Car Transporter

It's Uwe's creation. The way the functions are incorporated in the main truck is amazing! HOG steering behind cabin, another HOG for cabin tilting linked with overhead deck lifting. And the B model is bloody hell gorgeous. It got me saying OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THIS upon seeing A-model functions: - Truck V6 - Truck Cabin tiliting linked with cabin overhead deck lifting to reveal V6 - Truck HOG steering behind the cabin - Truck lowering second deck - Truck elastic return-to-defaulr car locking cranks that go through rubber 2-stud liftarms on the passenger side - Truck opening doors - Trailer lowering rear ramps - Trailer lowering overhead deck - Trailer lowering front ramps so that car can drive on truck's lowered second deck. - Car HOG steering in the back - Car V8 Car doesn't have opening doors. The trailer doesn't have standing legs. Truck uses 6 Mack wheels. Trailer uses 4 wheels from 8109. Car uses 4 wheels from Corvette. UW logo on the truck's front grille. B model consists of: - 1 big truck with flatbed, using 4 Mack wheels - 1 trailer using 2 Mack wheels - 1 show car using 4 Corvette wheels. This car has a Funny Car (42050 Drag Racer) vibe. It has exposed front V6 and a supercharger on top. - 1 show truck using 4 wheels from 8109. It looks like a boxy fire truck. The rear compartment can be open upward to reveal a V8. The flatbed truck houses the show car, while the trailer houses the show truck. The colors are swapped. The show car is completely in red and uses the red small wheel arches from the truck in the A model. Meanwhile, the flatbed truck is in dark azure, LBG, and DBG, and uses all the dark azure of the sport car in the A model. B-model functions as visible: - Big Truck lowering flatbed - Big Truck HOV - Show Car V6 - Show Truck HOG - Show Truck opening rear deck (like 42070 B) - Show Truck V8 - Trailer standing legs - Trailer lowering flatbed. Parts in new color: - 5x11 tapered panel in RED - Corvette wheel arch in RED and DARK AZURE (42070 color) Rare parts: - 2x11x3 Steering Knuckle Arm (33299) in RED - 3x7 shell in RED (first appearance in 42082) - 2x5 panels in DARK AZURE (appears in 42083 and 42095) - 3x11 shell in DARK AZURE (appears in 42083 and 42077) - 5x7 panels in LBG (first and only appearance in 7160 Bionicle Drop Ship) I spot two gear racks in red holders. -
