  1. Hi everybody. This is my entry for the Wacky wheels contest. The "Big Racoon". A few months ago I was thinking about rebuilding my old truck build in 1987. I build it with almost all the Lego parts I had at that time. I dismantled the truck 1997 and made some pictures. There were no digital cameras at that time so the pictures I took where very bad, I realised that when the negatives where printed. Picture taken in 1997 When I was rebuilding the truck, Jim came with the Wacky Wheels contest. I am not familiar with the game but took a look at some youtube movies about the game and came up with the idea to use Fabuland figure “Ricky Racoon” (the only Fabuland box I own). Ricky Racoon or on Brickset Have a look at the pictures and movie. My temporary building place. The "Big Racoon" Wacky functions: - Road Blocker / Road Sweeper (fully manual function) - Cannonball (Part manual, lifting and loading, and partly driven by motor, the shooting) The truck is equipped with: 1 servo for steering 1 L-motor for driving (at this moment only 1 axel is driven with a possibility to add a L-motor to another axel. 1 m-motor to drive the cannonball Build with mostly 40 year old Lego technic and regular bricks. The Wacky functions are built with new Lego technic parts. The movie: See all pictures at flickr.
  2. Hello everyone, as i didn't see any Mods topic for this set, i decided to start it myself, and to start, i would like to share with you the LDD file for the official set (not sure if there was one already), there are some parts missing and some pieces are not fully connected (could i have used developer mode to solve this? yes, but for some reason i decided just to place apart the pieces i couldn't fit in), here is the model: Missing parts: -x4 24118 Panels in Dark Purple (Brick-built and grouped in the model) -x11 6167281 (I didn't add any substitute) -x1 6187734 (The rope) LDD file:http://bricksafe.com/files/imanol/42069/42069.lxf And next is my modifications for this set so far, the first thing that i wanted to do was to put wheels and tires, and because this is an snow-themed set, i decided to put tumbler tires, and i knew that these tires didn't look good in those very wide axles, with these tires the vehicle would look silly, but after narrowing the axle a little bit, i think it is looking like an authentic snow expedition vehicle (it even looks like an JLTV from the sides), i also changed some colors, but is just a test (the model is still WIP): The goal is XL-Motor for drive, Servo Motor for steering and M or L-Motor for the winch (and possibly some lights): I hope you like it, i will try to make more improvements, and i am looking forward to see more modifications by any other member, have happy modding.
  3. First of all, for those who havent seen it allready: They claim it to be just for advertising and not to become an official set. Well, looking through the video, this is quite easy to build. So we dont mind^^ From what i could see, there are no new parts so this can be build with nowadays "standard" stuff. If you allready own some of the SC, this should be a piece of cake partwise. File is ready for LDD download via this link , though im not very sure on the inside structure. The shape however should be correct ;-) Enjoy Ford GT 40 Speed Champions LDD file by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr
