  2. Good day! Today I present you my alternate for 42032 - A bulldozer with snowplow! It has: removeable front and rear snowplows lifting front attachment rotating a gear detailed brickbuilt engine added grey seat Complete gallery on Bricksafe : http://bricksafe.com...F/42032-c-model Rear Without attachments The little but powerfull engine The grey seat Thanks for reading!
  3. Since there are images available without watermark, I think it is time to give the 42036 its own topic as well. I copied my post from the general 2015 Technic topic and pasted it here as a topic starter: As a motorbike rider and fan of most Technic bikes, I must say that I'm disappointed in the 42036. - It presents no new technical challenges like an interesting way of propulsion (through a drive shaft for example), exciting swing-arm configuration, new engine layout (would love a boxer) nor gearbox. - The aesthetics are not very satisfying as well: The body shape is not very pleasing and looks unfinished, the windscreen is too bulky, the stickers for the saddle look poor and the rear tire is too skinny for this type of bike. It almost looks like a B-model. - I really miss attention to details which would be possible in this scale: No license plate at the rear, no fuel filler cap, no realistic dials, no brake and clutch handles, no radiator, it doesn't even have foot pegs. - I appreciate the light blue panels, but as a whole the color scheme doesn't work for me. I would have loved a Martini color scheme with orange, white and light blue, but I guess this is copy-righted. This could and should have been done much better, I'll MOD it for sure, but with all the modifications, it will probable be more like a MOC. I'm curious in the B-model of this set, could be better than the A-model in this case.

[MOC] Welcome to Gaza (Banksy Cat)

Hello everyone, here is my latest creation inspired by the artist Banksy : Make this the year YOU discover a new destination - .A local man came up and said 'Please - what does this mean?' I explained I wanted to highlight the destruction in Gaza by posting photos on my website – but on the internet people only look at pictures of kittens. - Banksy Welcome to Gaza (Banksy Cat) by TheBrickAvenger, sur Flickr Deeplinks : 1-2-3 I hope it will please you
  5. Just over a year since I first joined GoH I finally have a more detailed character backstory! As a boy Parimere grew up in the Ansfel border post (were his father was garrisoned) situated between Kaliphlin and Avalonia. During his late teens he journeyed with his father through three of the four guilds- Avalonia, Mitguardia and Kaliphlin, (his fathers diplomatic work never took him to the guild of Nocturnus). Following the passing of his father he was left with a choice, since he had spent most of his life in either Kaliphlin or Avalonia, he was left with a hard choice, the guild of trees or the one of deserts? In the end he chose Kaliphlin in the south as his home In the years that followed he became a lord of Kaliphlin, frequently wandering through the guild, especially near the coast and occasionally abroad. And that is the tale of Lord Parimere of Kaliphlin.
  6. My modifications to skull villains and Ekimu. I especially wasn't fan of orange in other sets then Grinder, and Skull Scorpio (it was really bad set). Toa Kaita and Protector Kaita

Goodevening all, Me and my brother bought the new bionicle sets over a week ago (in the UK) and we have been really enjoying them, however we have been discussing the supposed 'combiners' that lego are currently using with the toa + protectors weapons. We decided to have a go at building them both and some kaita of the protectors. Akamai Wairuha Protector Akamai Protector Wairuha Battle! 11. Hello all and welcome to my first ever Eurobrick Review! Sorry about the links I'm trying to get that fixed. I am LegendsOfNinjago and I will be taking you through the newest Ninja HQ: Destiny's Bounty II! Because I built the sets 3 days ago, there will not be any Building or unopened bag pictures. So sorry in advanced. HERE WE (NINJA)GO!!! 70738 The Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty Pieces-1251 Minifigures-9+2 Screamers Year-Summer 2015 Prices-UK-£99.99, €119.99, $119.99 (Bought mine via AmazonUK for $140) Let's start with the box! This bad boy is big and brooding. I didn't get pictures of the back but will try to upload those later as the box is not in my grasp currently. 2015-06-10 12.43.15.jpg , Along with the box, ou have the instrcution book. I only took a picture of the box to show you how large it is. Something like 232 pages make this bad boy my biggest book to date. There are also 10 numbered bags in this set and a sticker sheet with (I think) 18 stickers. 2015-06-10 12.43.51.jpg , (I also want to point out that the book began falling apart on me. I am unsure if this is widespread or if it was just mine.) Here are some new and recolored pieces. I like the new navy blue mouth cover aswell as all the new ghost pieces. Also the new Ninja masks are beauiful! The screamers are funny looking but can cover the top of a minifigures head (which I didn't get a picture of, but will with my Ronin Rex review). The AeroBlades are pretty coole and this set come with the Gold AeroBlade. 2015-06-10 12.51.29.jpg , Okay so here we have the Good Guys. 2015-06-10 12.45.03.jpg , Lloyd and Nya in her water garb are exclusive to this set, while Cole and Sensei (Master) Wu are not Without weapons 2015-06-10 12.46.07.jpg , Backs 2015-06-10 12.47.17.jpg , This is a new varient for Wu. This also appears in the Master Wu Dragon and his Dimension Pack. 2015-06-10 12.46.51.jpg , On to the new ghosty Baddies! 2015-06-10 12.48.18.jpg , Here we have Bansha, Morro, Spyder, Soul Archer, and Ghoultar respectively. Without Weapons 2015-06-10 12.49.19.jpg , Backs 2015-06-10 12.49.47.jpg , Morro and Spyder are "exclusive" to this as Spyder is just one of many of the named Ghost Ninjas with the same basic 3 looks and Morro has a cape in this set compared to the capeless one in his Airjitzu Flyer. ON TO THE DRAGON!!!! So the dragon in this set is meidum sized and one of the better looking ones in this line of sets. 2015-06-10 12.56.29.jpg , From head to tail he's over a foot. 2015-06-10 12.57.06.jpg , His head is super poseible, but because of the way it's attached to the neck, it has a problem of falling off. 2015-06-10 12.33.27 , He's made up of alot of nice piece but has alot of exposed studs, gaps and a set of technic spheres just sitting there. (balls would've sounded dirty). 2015-06-10 12.57.15.jpg , BOUNTY TIME!!!! This guy is a monster!! far my favorite ship Lego has ever produced. Alot of really nice details and alot more deck space that the previous Bounty. 2015-06-10 13.04.33.jpg , So the sails are the same thick plastic used for the Space Batman wings and HawkMan's wings from he DC sets. There is a lever you can pull down to expand the wings and a very clever locking mechanism to keep them from falling and all you have to do to have them "undo" is pull up the small lever. This entire wing system is lock into the hull of the boat so they are super secure. 2015-06-10 13.04.42.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.09.26.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.09.37.jpg , Here's the magic underneith the wings. 2015-06-10 13.08.56.jpg , On the boat there are also these cool cannons. Just press down the black stickered "L" piece and you have studs all over the place. 2015-06-10 13.07.18.jpg , For the rest of the deck you have the new dragon head which is nicely brick built, 2015-06-10 13.14.17.jpg , You have these to prison doors locking up swords. (They are probably in time out for being too mean) 2015-06-10 13.13.57.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.14.07.jpg , Then there is the Cabin. Here's the enterance. I was alittle disappointed there are gaps on either side of the doorway, so I may try to fill those. 2015-06-10 13.06.37.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.14.30.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.08.29.jpg , Here is inside. There isn't much buts some comupter screens, 2 chairs and some levers. There is also a mouse and a cheese wedge, which is accaully representing a cheese wedge! 2015-06-10 13.08.11.jpg , Here is the back of the cabin. You have the newish spring loaded cannons with the hooks. This area springs out with the wings on the side which I'll show you next. 2015-06-10 13.07.38.jpg , So, here are the side wings. There are things of beauty! Here are the steps of the transformation. 2015-06-10 13.10.23.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.10.46.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.11.00.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.11.11.jpg , Pretty cool, ehh? Probably my second favorite the about the Bounty, but my favorite is the hidden AirBike. 2015-06-10 13.11.58.jpg , Located in the roof of the cabin, this little bike shop could almost be missed! The Bike shop is complete with the all the tools Nya could need including a few extra. 2015-06-10 13.13.33.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.12.12.jpg , 2015-06-10 13.12.26.jpg , "WEEEEEEEE!!! I mean attack!" 2015-06-10 13.13.02.jpg , This boat also has a handle, but it's kinda flimsy. I took it out, but out it back in for the sake of the review. It's only help in a small technic pin with a ball joint attached. 2015-06-10 13.09.54.jpg , The set also come with a black teasure chest and a boox full of what I assume to be silver coins. 2015-06-10 13.15.20.jpg , I didn't get a picture of all the extra pieces as they have already found there way into sorting bins, but here are the notible ones I could remember. 2015-06-10 13.15.47.jpg , FINAL WORDS All in all this set is extemely worth the money. I payed $20 more than the US MSRP and the equivilant to the UK prices and am extremely happy with the set! The Bounty is very sturdy and has great "swoshability", trust me once my family left the house last night, it was open season on the ghost. The Bounty is also very well detailed and has a ton of cool features including the AirBike, the side booster Wings, and the top wings. The dragon while having some minor design flaws is still really cool and can be fixed with alittle TLC. The minifigure are all very well detailed! And this bad boy has 9 figures! Easily a 5 out of 5 in my books. Full Set: 2015-06-10 13.31.04.jpg , Hope you liked my review and if you need any more pictures or have any questions ask away! EXTRAS!! Althought Lloyd doen't have a face mask in this set they do look pretty cool with the suits 2015-06-10 13.16.14.jpg , Sensei Wu with the pirate hat!! 2015-06-10 13.28.30.jpg , Dragon Dance! 2015-06-10 12.58.59.jpg ,
  12. ... excitement! (seems my topic title was too long!) I'm a longtime lurker at Eurobricks, pretty much the only Lego site I visit. At 37, I'm old enough to have had Lego pirates ("Classic Pirates") as a memorable part of my childhood... I only had the earliest sets they made, but one of my favourite Lego sets was the "big pirate ship" (which I only now know was the "Black Seas Barracuda"). Like many others, once I'd got older, my Lego remained in an old chest and was moved around from house to house, to finally the garage, and left there, forgotten. I came out of my Lego "dark age" several years ago thanks to Heroica and Alien Conquest, two themes I discovered by chance and that made me fall in love with Lego all over again. I've bought other sets since, but when Lego released the 2015 Pirates wave I was hit with a shocking amount of nostalgia. Buying them, building that pirate ship (the "Brick Bounty"), assembling "bluecoats" with the backpacks and seeing those shark and cannon pieces just brought back *so* many memories for me. Even though I felt the sets were slightly underwhelming compared to some of the recent elaborate modern sets I'd bought from other themes (Star Wars, AC, Galaxy Squad, LOTR), it was nonetheless amazing to have brand new Pirate Lego in my adult hands! Of course, it didn't take long for me to discover that I'd missed out on a whole ton of older Pirate Lego stuff since I was a kid... I was so sad especially that I'd not come out of my "dark age" earlier to discover the Imperial Flagship, the even older Islander and Spanish sets and even the impressive ships of the POTC line. :( Though many of those were likely too old, rare or expensive to track down, I knew I needed more Pirate Lego than the current sets, so I set out to see if I could at least get hold of some of the 2009 "Pirates II" wave. Well, thanks to the miracles of Bricklink, yesterday I opened up several parcels to reveal good-as-new, mint-in-box Loot Island, Kracken Attackin', Cannon Battle, Pirate Survival, Soldier's Fort, and Battle Pack, as well as the 2011 (I think?) standalone Battle Pack. The "collector" in me feels rather guilty opening these wonderfully well-kept old sets up (is that odd?), but so far I've had *such* fun building those I have. I do wonder now though if I should have done some kind of "review/unboxing", from a less typical perspective, or at least taken photos? Regardless, it's so interesting to see the improvements and changes in the 2015 sets compared to these, particularly as many of the new sets are somewhat "updates" of the 2009 ones. I'm not sorry I got the older sets, though... the castaway minifig in Loot Island is my favourite Pirate figure so far, and having only ever owned "bluecoats" as a kid, the attraction of completely new "redcoats" was huge enough that I've ended up getting doubles of some of the smaller sets just to "army build" them and pit them against my 2015 bluecoat forces! :) Now I'm strongly thinking about tracking down the last couple of 2009 sets, including the ship ("Brickbeard's Bounty"), though I'm not sure if it will be worth the expectedly-high price; from what I can see, the 2015 "Brick Bounty" is actually very similar but superior in most ways (especially sails/masts/rigging). I would *really* like to get that Imperial Flagship... but I don't know if I have much of a chance nowadays. Do other Pirates fans here know if it's as expensive and rare to find (boxed) as I anticipate? Oh, and yeah, I got all these "MISB" even though I'm building not reselling them, because early on in my emergence from my "dark age", I thought it would be cheaper to buy "used" sets I'd missed, only to discover that nearly every time what I bought was in worse shape than the remains of my own childhood Lego, so I decided that it was worth spending the extra to meet my own (probably excessive) standards of quality... as well as to best recapture the feeling of opening a "brand new set" even if it's from many years ago. The downside is obviously that I'm already a lot poorer now! :( Finally, for those who've bothered to read my excited rambling this far (thanks!), I got another parcel today that made me feel like I was eight years old all over again. I didn't know Lego did "re-releases", but it seems they DID re-release my beloved childhood favourite: the "Black Seas Barracuda"! So yeah, I bought that too for probably way too much money, and now I'm looking at that gorgeously retro, sealed box and wondering if it's considered a crime in the eyes of Lego fandom to open her up and revisit my childhood by building that beautiful baby...? :) (sorry for the long post!)

  17. All pics link to Flickr! Description: The villagers of Okoto play this ancient sport to bring pride to their villages. The first villager to shoot a gem through the hoop three times wins the ceremonial mask. They are armed with weapons to knock away the opponent's gems and shooters to fire their gems through the hoop. Two score counters are also included. Background: This year I was able to attend the LEGO Inside Tour for the first time. The 34-person group I was in, which toured from the 19th of May to the 22nd, was the second tour group for 2015 and the 28th since the LEGO Inside Tour began. The most thrilling part of the LEGO Inside Tour, for me, was getting to meet and spend time with so many LEGO designers and others who help to make the LEGO Group the company that it is. However, the biggest surprise for me was connected with the building competition at the end of the first day. All tour participants were invited to think like a LEGO designer and design a potential set to meet certain constraints. The designers would judge them the next day before announcing the winners at an awards ceremony that evening. The parts provided for us included many BIONICLE pieces, but I was one of the only builders to create a primarily BIONICLE-based creation, since that is the style of building that comes most naturally to me. When I finished my model at around 10:20pm, a lot of other builders were still working on their own creations, so I didn't get to see what my model was up against until the awards ceremony. To my amazement, the model I created won first prize! It was the first BIONICLE creation to win first prize in the history of the LEGO Inside Tour. The designers liked that it had a clear play scenario and hit the desired price point almost exactly. I was awarded a LEGO set and a brick-built trophy printed with the Inside Tour logo. And yes, they let me keep my creation! Bonus pics:

    [MOC] Skull Ripper

(All pics link to Flickr) Function Video (5 seconds) I was realizing the day before yesterday that the 2015 Toa have one strategic advantage over the 2015 BIONICLE villains: none of the villains appear to be able to fly. So I thought I'd even the odds. Obviously, I had to use a few placeholder parts, but I still think it conveys the general idea I was going for. Skull Ripper includes 87 pieces total, and so I imagine she would hit about the same $15 price point as the other skull villains. Skull Ripper's torso features the same Technic function as Skull Basher's, but here it serves two very different purposes. From a standing position, it allows Skull Ripper to stab an opponent with her talons. In flight, it allows her to flap her wings. Ideally, I'd prefer Skull Ripper to use Tr. Blue instead of Tr. Light Blue, but from a practical standpoint I found that I had a more useful range of pieces in Tr. Light Blue. Thoughts, comments, criticism? Please share! This is my first MOC I've completed to my satisfaction in a few months, so I'm very proud of it, but I'm sure there's room for improvement!

    Bionicle 2015 Toa Mods

Thanks to some Bricklink orders that arrived today I can now show off my mods for the 2015 Toa One thing to mention with all of them except Onua. I built a custom torso since I didn't like the exposed ball joints on Tahu, Pohatu, Gali and Lewa. I didn't with Onua cause of his large chest piece. I won't show how its built until LDD updates. Till then feel free to guess how I built it. Also they all have silver armor save for Tahu and Kopaka's chest plates. I hope in later waves we get Silver Red or White printed chests for Tahu and Kopaka. Gallery when public http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554632 Tahu I shortened his legs and change his feet from silver to red. Swapped out chest armor for Breakout version. I might change his eyes to orange once I get the summer sets. [MOC] Strange Fruit

Hello to everyone I present you my last creation : Strange Fruit an adaptation of a poem / of a song in Lego. Strange Fruit (Illustration of Adel Meeropol's poem) by TheBrickAvenger, sur Flickr Southern trees bear a strange fruit Blood on the leaves and blood at the roots Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees Pastoral scene of the gallant South The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth Scent of magnolia sweet and fresh Then the sudden smell of burning flesh Here is a fruit for the crows to pluck For the rain to gather for the wind to suck For the sun to rot fort the trees to drop Here is a strange and bitter crop Composed by (aka Lewis Allan) 1937 1939------------------------------------ Deeplinks : 1-2-3-4 ------------------------------------ Following the lynching of Thomas Shipp and Abram Smith , the sad but famous photo of their murder marked many people of whom Abel Meeropol. He wrote then in 1937 the poem Strange Fruit, the real hurting indictment of the lynching, which he published under Lewis Allan's pen name in the magazine "New York Teacher" and the communist newspaper " New Masses ". A little later, he put the poem in music. This poem was finally taken back by the Afro-American singer Billie Holiday who interpreted it for the first time in the Café Society in New York in 1939. This poem counts among the artistic indictments of the lynchings usually practised in the South of the United States. The term " strange fruit " moreover became synonymic of lynching. Here is thus my interpretation of this poem, in particular inspired by the movie " Of Mice and Men ", I voluntarily wished to add it members of the Ku Klux Klan who were at the origin of numerous lynchings... The Art, under all its forms, allows to express the creativity, to deliver messages, to educate, to illustrate, to depict, but also to denounce, to criticize, and not to forget, Lego is art. I hope you will like it and I look forward to having your notices

    [Review] 75089 Geonosis Troopers

Hello again everyone! Continuing to review the sets I bought during the May the Fourth sale. This is my last review of the 2015 winter wave as I don't have the other sets that still need a review and I don't plan buying them. They are: 75081 T-16 Skyhopper 75084: Wookiee Gunship 75086: Battle Droid Troop Carrier 75087: Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter 75090: Ezra's Speeder Bike If anyone could review these. Thanks! So now on to the review This is my third review : 75089 Geonosis Troopers Name: Geonosis Troopers Theme: Star Wars / Expended universe / The Clone Wars Year: 2015 Pieces: 105 Minifigures: 4 Price: USA 12.99$, ENG 11.99£, CAN 15.99$, EUR 16.99€ Ressources: Brickset Lego store description The front of the box with the new 2015 art: A stormtrooper helmet tagged with a rebel alliance crest. Your standard box art for 2015. On the back of the box, we see the play features and the number os stud shooter and the number of spare studs. Also shown is the clone troopers and the walker's features. In the box, the pieces come in 2 bags and with the instruction booklet. The instruction booklet with the same image as the box on the cover. The back with the win minifigure. Spare parts: mainly spare studs. It's a battlepack! The completed model. The walker with the new stud "gatlin" gun ready to fire! Side view 1 Side view 2 Top view Back view With the legs posed like it's recommended in the manual The walker as 3 features: movable legs, the "gatlin gun" and the opening cockpit. Here is the cockpit opened and closed. Closed The walker is unstable if both legs aren't placed the same way And now what you were all waiting for: The Minifigures! We get 4 of them; 2 Geonosis airborne troopers and 2 Geonosis troopers. The battlepacks comes with 2 different heads: the standard clone trooper face and another one with a different facial expression. The Geonosis trooper compared to the to the Kashyyyk trooper and Utapau trooper. We can see that the camo pattern is different then the Kashyyyk trooper. It has the same back printing as the one from the Utapau BP. Back view The airborne trooper compared to the Utapau BP one. Back view Rating ------ These three points are not included in final score. Price: 6/10 – 105 pieces for 12.99$ is above the 10 cents per piece ration. Also like other battlepacks with the gatlin gun, 20 of those piece are studs for the guns and the canon. Still we get 4 amazing minifigures and a small vehicule. Parts: 7.5/10 – Many of the pieces are studs but we get a nice assortement of pieces in geonosian tan that could be usefull for any desert moc. You love or you don't the new gatlin gun. Build 7/10 – The build takes around 10 minutes. No special technic are involved in the build. Battlepacks are about minifigures and not the building experience, so no surprise here ------ Design 5/10 – This walker is not based on any source material but we have seen enough walkers that we know how it should look or not look like. From the front and from the side the model does look good but looks bad from behind because of a complete lack of detail. There is only so much you can do with 50-60 pieces. You can fit 2 minifigures and their guns on the walker. The legs are movable, the cockpit can be opened and closed and the gatlin gun does shoot fast and far. Still it's a little hard to place the legs in display mode. (refer to image legs posed like it's recommended in the manual) If both legs aren't place the same way, the walker will be very unstable or it will fall. Besides, the walker can't stand on 1 leg and thus it limits the different poses it can take. It's an average build. Nothing amazing. Still it might bring some memories to some of the first walker of the very first battlepack released: the clone walkers BP. Minifigures: 10/10 – The minifigures are outstanding. The camo printing on both troopers is very detailled and beautifull. Printed legs, and backprint on all 4 minifigures. The airborne trooper helmet is also very well made and looks just like the source material. Troopers from a new clone legion is always welcome for MOCs and dioramas. Also we get 2 different faces wich is good for an all clone battlepack. Playability: 6/10 – Not much play features except for the gatlin canon and the opening cockpit. It's hard to set the legs in display mode and both legs must be placed the same way if not the model will be unstable or it won't even stand. The movable legs can't really considered a play feature in this case. Still the shooter is fun to use and so are the minifigure's guns. This is a one faction battlepacks. It's meant to be played with other sets so you can have targets to shoot at! OVERALL 7/10 – A good battlepack. The minifigure are definitively the highlight of the set as you would expect. Adding a new clone legion to your collection is always nice even tho some would have prefered a more "famous" legion like the Galactic Marines or the 501th. Seeing another variant of the airborne trooper is also very nice because the mold for the helmet is amazing. The vehicule included could have been better. In the end this is an above average battlepack with outsanding minifigures that carry a rather average walker. Thoughts and critiques welcomes! Also if there is any grammar mistake burning your eyes, please PM me and I will edit. Thanks for reading!

MOC - Cox Rural Merchandise Store

Building number four way underway.....only a little bit to go now and then I can start on the grain silos......keep watching !
  24. Seeing as the Guurahk staff was used again for Pohatu and Kopaka. It had me thinking what other old Bionicle parts would still work for Gen 2 I personally want to see the Bohrok tooth make a comeback. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=42074 There using Bohrok eyes in summer sets. Skull Scorpion and Skull Grinder. So why not this part as well. Another part I'd like to see is the Vahki waist piece. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47330 It small and is good for making custom torso's so there's potential for it in CCBS I'd also like to see this piece remolded into the new ball style. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x1192px1 Its unique and would help with more custom CCBS limb designs. What pieces would you like to see come back for Bionicle Gen 2?
  25. Hello again everyone! Continuing to review the sets I bought during the May the Fourth sale. So here is my second review : 75088 Senate Commando Troopers Name: Senate Commando Troopers Theme: Star Wars / The Clone Wars Year: 2015 Pieces: 106 Minifigures: 4 Price: USA 12.99$, ENG 11.99£, CAN 15.99$, EUR 16.99€ Resource: Brickset Lego store description The front of the box with the new 2015 art: A stormtrooper helmet tagged with a rebel alliance crest. Same as the other sets of the winter wave. On the back, we see the troopers in action, the number of spare studs included and the play features of the canon. In the box, the pieces come in 2 bags and there is also the instruction booklet. The instruction booklet has the same image as the box on the cover. The back with the win minifigure. Spare parts. Mainly spare studs for the guns as you can expect from a battlepack. The completed model. The canon is equiped with the new stud "gatlin" gun. Side view 1 Side view 2 Back view Top view The legs can be adjusted Legs down Legs up The canon can be aimed up and down. This is the lowest angle it can be placed in. We now move to the minifigures: the highlight and purpose of the battlepack. We get 4 of them. Three senate commando troopers and one senate commando captain. The captain as a different face from the 3 other troopers. The 3 troopers have the clone face from other clone battlepacks. The captain as some white painting on his helmet, torso and leg. The back printing is similar. Rating ------ These three points are not included in final score. Price: 6/10 – 106 pieces for 12.99$ is above the 10 cents per piece ration. Also 20 of those piece are studs for the guns and the canon. Still we get 4 great minifigures that were really expensive on the aftermarket because they were released in only 2 sets years ago. Plus the canon is a nice little build. We are use by now to this kind of pricing for battlepacks. Parts: 7/10 – 20 of the pieces are studs but we get 7 pieces in republic red and only 2-3 technic pieces. The "gatlin" canon is a really nice piece. Build 7/10 – Nothing fancy here. The building process will take you no longer then 10 minutes. No special technic are involved in the build. ------ Design 7.5/10 – Since the canon is not based on any source material it's difficult to compare it. Still, with the colors and style we have no problems imagining this canon as an anti aircraft gun that would be around the senate protecting it from attacks. The canon looks great overall, but the side of the barrel (Image: side view 1) could have been better. Also, some might find it too "bulky". It looks more like a mortar then a canon. Minifigures: 9/10 – The 4 minifigures are amazing. Printed legs and printed back torso. The fact that we get a captain and 3 troopers is great. Its nice to have a captain. It adds diversity to the battleback but they still look good displayed together. Only complaint: we should have goten 4 different faces since the senate commando troopers are not clones. Playability: 7.5/10 – Like other one faction only battlepacks, it complement other sets really well. By itself you can shoots the canon and play with the troopers but you will defenetly need bad guy to shoot at. The shooter on the canon rotates on the sides and up and down. It works really well and shoots far. Kids should have a blast using it. OVERALL 8/10 – A nice little battlepack. The minifigures are great and so is the canon. Its not everyday we get a senate related sets and non clones troopers of the prequel era. In fact this is the first prequel battlepack wich does not contain any clones. They look great standing next to Palpatine in his office and you can make an Emperor arrival moc PT style. This is an above average set that you should pick up if you would like to add to your republic force with non clone elements and a neat canon. Thoughts and critiques welcomes!
