    [CSE] Ice Crystal Cruiser

Scientists on the frozen planet Krysto conduct top secret satellite research, but dangerous forces in the universe want their technology! With the new Ice Crystal Cruiser, Commander Cold can put any Ice Planet foes into a deep freeze. If only 2002 was as incredible as Ice Planet. Here is my CSE. The Ice Crystal Cruiser is 2/3 the ship the Deep Freeze Defender. As expected, the two front pods detach.
  2. Villa Del Balbianello is a lakeside villa in Italy built in 1785 expanding on an existing structure from the 13th century. With later additions added throughout the years such as relics added from an explorer. It was also featured in films such as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and James Bond: Casino Royale (2006). Also a set on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85ec2902-0e20-40a8-9b18-4a79c9f560af
  3. I’ve always liked the classic Ice Planet theme that LEGO made, and after looking at Chris Perron’s incredible Ice Inspector and Siercon and Coral’s magnificent Ice Planet Base, I wanted to try my hand at a build in the classy blue, white, and trans-neon orange colors. I’m quite pleased with the result, and it was very enjoyable to build. The micro truck outside the main base is supposed to be a rendition of Chris’s monstrous Ice Inspector that I linked to earlier in the post, though unfortunately I wasn’t able to pack in all the details on it that I would have liked to. Hopefully it is still recognizable as being inspired by his masterpiece though! This build was my first time trying to incorporate lights into a model, which was both fun and frustrating at times. I’m pretty happy with the result, but if anyone has tips or suggestions about ways to improve it, definitely let me know! I also want to give huge thank-you to Graham Gidman for helping me out with the edit, I know it wouldn’t have turned out this well without his help! Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome!

    LEGO Clone Building Event (2002)

Well hello, today I have some what of a question/general discussion about an item Please please don't merge this topic with anyone else or else I may not get an appropriate response So I recently purchased 34 of the Episode 2 clones from the gunship 7163 and ATTE 4482 back from 2002/2003. Here is a picture: I understand that sometime in May of 2002, Walmart held an event of which kids built as many of these in 1 minute as possible. They were under orders by lego to destroy all items after the event. Here is a look at that: As you can see this came with 150 clones. A few people managed to get away with these. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one of these? I would pay hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for something like this. I have seen them on eBay before, but they never had the box. What is someone's thought on this? Again, plz plz plz don't merge this topic and let it stand on its own. I know there may be similar topics, but I hope to get an appropriate response. Thank you.
  5. BMW 2002 Turbo Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by! Collaborators: Built in Lego Digital Designer/Mecabricks by Marco. qm (me) Rendered by Wlange and Technic Man Very special thanks to Wlange and Technic, probably without their help you wouldn't be seing this awesome images. Information of the 2002 Made in 1974, the 2002 Turbo was the first car made by BMW that had a trubocharger. This little 2-door car made more than 170 BHP, which on those times was a lot of power, still it was a nice car that you could use to go on a trip with your family on the weekend. Information of the Lego version: I designed this using techniques from the Lego Creator Expert sets, such as the Mini, VW Camper, Beetle and F40, so it would look nice if you placed it next to the sets mentioned before. It also features opening bonnet, trunk, doors, detailed interior and engine. On the interior, it has 4 detailed seats, a straight 4 engine, and detailed dashboard. With a lot of space on the trunk and "glovebox". On the rear, you will see the opening trunk, detailed tailights and even an exhaust! Hope you liked it enough to click that support button! If you want, feel free to give feedback or suggestions on the comments and all the changes made will be added to the updates. ;) Also, building instructions here: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/433738 -Marco. qm
  6. Hello, my question is about the height/high of the set 10019 UCS Blockblade Runner (Tantive IV). I don't have this Set, for that is my question. In centimeters, and including the bases (or supports). Thanks for your help. LEGO 10019 High v2 by Kuek Cuac de Koki, en Flickr

Do we have images of the prototypes of the Toa Mistika that were supposedly closer to the 2002 Toa Nuva?

    Ice Planet 2002 Hologram

Yes I know this might seem a little odd, although I suppose it fits in with the Sci Fi part of the forum and it is hopefully interesting information to do with the Ice Planet line from way back when. Its probably nothing huge but I couldn't really find anything else about it so here goes. A few days ago I purchased a NIB 6973 Deep Freeze Defender from eBay to add to the small collection of new unused old sets that I was most fond of which came today. When I purchased it I noticed it had a label on it saying 'Free Hologram Inside,' and since once of the seals had come off that gave me an excuse to at least have a peak inside before I carefully put everything back and store/admire it. Along with the usual 1993 catalog, service leaflet and even a poster I found the hologram mentioned. It is only palm of your hand sized, but it's cool nonetheless. I have attached some pictures, sorry it is hard to show it off well. It is basically a picture of Commander Cold with the cool icy background and the stars/sky design Lego did back then. This is definitely new to me, most of the sets I owned for display including this one from when I was mostly into Lego before were from the 90s era and before and I've not seen this in them before, perhaps they were a special freebie that were on a certain few. Makes me wonder if there are any other similar things like this from sets at the time now. I do know that some 6990 boxes came with a free space background sheet.

    Galidor

What do you think of Galidor, The show and the toy, like pro's and con's. For me the show was CONS; a bit cheesey low production value ended on a cliff-hanger PROS; It was felt something LEGO would have designed with the city look character look ECT. Cool costumes cool concept and props fairly good storyline good principal cast TOYS CONS; Out of proportions with the characters made them look weird mcdonalds toys were lacking Just kinda weird as a whole set PROS; cool packaging cool organic looking pieces that can be used for MOCing (no matter how much people say its not) some have cool functions
