UCS Super Star Destroyer 10221 Review

Hey all. Just wondering if someone (original reviewer or anyone else who has the set) can take a picture of the completed model without the two stands. Can't find any pictures of it online since the stands are put on in the middle of the instructions. Reason being, i'm brick-linking the parts I need to complete the model and i'm thinking of maybe saving some money by not buying all those smooth black pieces needed for the stands. Much appreciated.

    Star Wars sets anyone?

I'm in a Australia too and 700 is a no go for me. Nor am I an epic MOCer. I've already started planning my brick linking plus i'm surprised at how many parts i've already got.

LEGO Exclusive 10221 - Super Star Destroyer

Really doesn't look 125 cm. I know Lego wouldn't lie about it, just saying. Also the Star Destroyer next it looks more dominant. Maybe it's the perspective of the photo (which i really appreciate BTW) but I can't help but keep changing my mind about getting the set.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Just a question about the upcoming Super Star Destroyer. Lego told us how much the set would be in US dollars and Euros etc. How would I go about finding the price in Australian dollars? Query Lego directly? Or is it just a wait until September?

    MOC - TR 116 Rifle

I've never been good at life sized lego guns. Just not enough simple bricks of the one colour I suppose. This is great though. Must be pretty heavy. From the looks of that reference image you were very faithful.

    MOC Corps Stealth Bomber

Actually when I was wooshing it around I realised it might look pretty with the wings inverted. Might swap it all around and post a pic jsut for an experiment. Yeaaaah about that... Ha ha you would not beleive how many different things i tried out at the front, it's just it also looks pretty weird with just a single lego stud at the front. This is my first proper plane MOC and I realise how hard it is to get the nose right. Not yet but I will eventually build on a hatch on the bottom to drop a missile out. Sadly at the moment the word bomber in the title is a bit of false advertising. I experimented with some guns around the nose but it ruined the smoothness.

    MOC Corps Stealth Bomber

Wanted to create something for while with that HUGE wing piece from the latest City Airport. Finally a friend was round yesterday and built the interior of a stealth bomber. Spent some hours today doing everything else you see below. Not the most elegant piece of work but acceptable given it didn't take four months like my other MOCs. Four hours FTW.
  8. **Last Known Transmission, Currently MIA** After the Temple of Atlantis our numbers are now five. During the brawl Samantha managed to collect a scroll as the temple collapsed. It included some lines in the Atlantian indigenous language as well as a small diagram of directions. The small amount of words which Doctor Fisher was able to translate read along the lines of "…the in-elderly one is is lost in the tombstone…" We were eventually met by the crew of the Poseidon Tunneller. Apparently by using their scanning instruments, the crew knew what they were about to face, and they seemed sure the massive drill beneath the hull of the Poseidon could drill past the toughest of surfaces. Upon reaching what the crew nicknamed "The Podium", they set to work, drilling into its' base. A CRACK rang through the hollow water of the deep ocean. The surface of the Podium had broken, and as the smoke cleared a human figure was revealed. He was still… still as stone. Lying amongst the darkness was one of their very own divers. My fears were realised as I read the serial number on the back of his helmet. Bobby. He had gone missing days ago after we travelled through the portal but none of us suspected this. Our youngest comrade, converted to pure white stone by some unfathomable force. I felt the collective guilt that we had gone too far, and we asked ourselves why we came on this search to begin with. Probably -- The darkness beneath the stone body is moving -- Scales twisting and quivering with ancient awareness -- The pillars -- (.missing text.) -- A mass darker then any void -- (.missing text.) -- Screaming -- I yell for Samantha -- No air --...//// incorrect key //// incorrect key ////// incorrect key //// key/ (FILE CORRUPTED) -- Archeological Atlantis Exploration Attempt 2 'Podium' Pacific Rim, 2011, Depth- 500 ft. Codename - Brazil -- **To this date: No Further Transmissions Received** This is my entry for the D2C contest. The set includes the large Poseidon Tunneler, six minifiures (including an exclusive stone Atlantis Diver), Tripod Mech, Auto-spider Backpack and the elusive Atlantian 'Podium'. Pushing down on the satellite dish makes the drill appear from the hull of the ship. The drill can be used to break open the surface of the 'Podium' (or anything your lego heart desires). Hidden beneath the 'Podium' is an Atlantis Diver turned completely to stone. As I mentioned before, the set comes with a Tripod Mech, Auto-spider Backpack but also a small native Atlantis fish. The Auto-spider Backpack can easily attached to the back of the Diver, this can be seen in the first pic. Well that's my entry, thanks!
  9. Lets just say i would buy this. I think this is a great entry because it could easily be a set, to me that's the most important thing in this comp.

    D2C Contest: Leviathan Dragon Fish

As an avid fan of Atlantis (I have three Neptune subs ha ha) I can say I would definitely buy this set. This is also probably my favorite entry so far mainly because it could actually be a set, (which I won't overtly say is missing from other entries). I guess atlantis isn't the the most popular in this competition with the two other newer themes but I look forward to any others in the pipeline. Mine is coming soon enough, wish you luck anyway though.
  11. Hey all, still hard at work with my entry, just wandering about the judging process. In the info about the contest it says a public vote, but what's to stop someone (god forbid) creating a hundred email addresses and a hundred eurobricks accounts and getting a bunch more votes? Maybe i'm just not understanding the process correctly or just being paranoid. Just thought I'd ask anyway.

    MOC: Jungle Temple

Pictures with low pixel count are alot better than a blurry one or one with ridiculous amounts of flash. A picture from the side would be good though just to see how long it is and how everything fits together. When I first started MOCing I downloaded instructions and did alternate models of existing sets for a while. Of course you won't have all the pieces for a set you don't own but that's point. It'll tech you to substitute pieces to get the same result as the official set. Just an exercise that might work. But about your model, it could easily be an official adventure set from the nineties and the red railings used as a ladder caught me off guard, didn't realise until i looked closer.

    Standardized Action Theme?

I'm pretty sure that is just the ideas themselves. So we don't go off writing children books or something with the same ideas we submitted. The process doesn't really give away much about anything. Except how far TLG plan ahead with their themes.

    Standardized Action Theme?

Ha ha, I guess Lego already have 2012 far enough in the works. They seem like the company that has their future planned out carefully.
