Yep. Hopefully soon I'll get enough moneys to buy parts to start building a frigate. Update: I did take out the bottom yardarms, along with editing the canvas sail to still look like a functioning sail even without the yard(tied a bit of string to the bottom of the sail to make it look like its catching wind). & replaced the red bricks with gray...except for the keel because I only have those bricks in Red. New pix to come later, till then ttfn

Thank you :) Now that you mention it, the red on the bow does seem a bit...awkward...I'll see if I can find some brown, black or gray plates to replace the red. And I am aware that the ships didn't have the bottom yard, I just added them in so I could have a full set of sails. But thanks man for the feedback. Oh yea, the bow chasers...I'll put up a pic of it deconstructed in just a sec Here's the best pic I could get of the whole cannon design...for some reason it's only allowing me one picture per post. [pid][/pid] 122B I finally finished her over the holidays & at last got around to posting her pix. Pardon my "studio" if ya wanna call it that. I removed her 6 large cannons and finally buckled and went for putting on 10 small cannons, as well, I took out the curved hull and rebuilt the hull itself in black white and gray. Also miniaturized her bow cannon to get it closer to "minifig scale" Anyways, here are her pictures... Oh, and By the way, White Rose is a Blue Coat ship. In case anyone was wondering...

As Far as sails are concerned, I personally use Duck Cloth(Canvas), but a bit of forewarning if you use it, I highly recommend that you get them hemmed, or they'll fray around the edges...like mine have. But they look great as sails. Aha! Found the list: Glorious Illustrious Courageous Zealous Tenacious Audacious Majestic Lexington Intrepid Triumph Centurion Triton Crusader Endurance Saratoga Agincourt Avalon Swiftsure Roanoke Union Exeter Success Adamant Hope Athena & Isis. Personally, I think Athena, Audacious, Centurion, or Sentinel would go nicely with that warship ‘a yorn, but that my good sir, is completely up to you. The perks of building a ship, is the promise of getting to name it whatever you wish to.

All i ask is that you dont copy my ship's name (White Rose...im too fond of it). But i do have a few ideas for your dilemma...but she is a B-E-A-UTIFUL ship, a fine vessel worthy of meeting someday out on the battlefield. But anyways, normally a ship would be named for something it stands for, or embodies. first names to come to mind: HMS Sentinel. HMS Behemoth. HMS Vanguard. HMS Radiant. Furious. Colossus. Victorious. Voracious. Ambitious. Morning Glory(Couldnt resist throwing in a flower). Umm...Steadfast may or may not work...idk yet...HMS Lioness? that would certainly match her current figurehead...now i had a list of of ship names somewhere 'round here...where'd it go...i'll have to get back with ya later when i find it...

Not yet...currently Dark at the Moment, I'll try to get a few when i can find an iron-on sheet for my banner. Yes it is. It is a specialized cannon built specifically for my White Rose. In the book it is referred to as a Dual Mortar Launcher, which fires a projectile somewhat in relation to the Bottle Rocket...but its many times larger & has a special grappling iron mounted at the head of the explosive. No i don't cuz i'm trying to keep it under wraps for a bit. It's still in progress & ive seen some of the things that ive written out on the internet being copied, so im trying to keep things under the radar for a bit, until i can find a publisher(names were copied, ive seen a White Rose ship out there, an Atlantica video game with pirates, & idk what all). But i might upload the 1st 5 chapters at some point...

Thanks for the constructive (lego...constructive...nvm lol) criticism, its rly helpful. Umm...yeah haha, the Crayon Flag was just a quick fix for now, i'm wanting to print off another one on those Iron-On sheets then Iron it to a piece of fabric. Also, I did edit the midsection of the hull, so, she no longer has the red bricks, she now has the light grey plates in a sloped fashion so it appears at least a little more natural...I'm sorry, but uh, what's IMO?

You most likely have noticed that the midection of my White Rose isn't a stock mid-section piece. This is because i do not have said pieces in stock & was forced into just making a quick fix for the sake of the build. umm...Can anyone suggest any solutions for a better fix? I have searched Bricklink & eBay for the parts, but because they are rare, they are expensive and seldom seen parts. The cheapest one's i have found are in Europe, but since i do not live in Europe, the shipping costs could get pretty high. I do have a supply of parts at hand, but i'm just not sure what combination of bricks could make that section of her hull more aesthetically pleasing...

Why thank ya :) I kinda like the current bow guns though. In the book, the Rose has a steampunk-like gun on the bow, that fires an explosive round called a Lightning Bolt, and without that gun, my ship wouldn't be the same. Oh, and duly noted on the rigging lines...would you suggest any certain material of string or something, or just whatever i would happen to find?
