Do you mind if I use that picture as an avatar? (I'll give credit)

Anyone notice Shahan Alama in the second last picture (in the background)? He looks very detailed, a good addition to the Weequay Pirates.
-
Yeah, I just built the falcon and judging by your pictures I doubt it's to scale. But I don't really mind, I think they'd look nice together.

Ha ha! Those socks better be real, or it'll be the second time today I got fooled.

A little off discussion here, but what's the likelihood that TLC will release a new MF, minifig scale? I'd love to have one for my collection.

Really cool, I love the use of "exhaust tiles" on the ground. The rebel carrier is sweet. The SW segway was also well built, and I love the door design. One question, why do the rebels have neon-green visors rather than black?

Thanks for the excellent review Big Cam. Do you know if the X-Wing is in scale with the Midi-Scale Millennium Falcon? (I just bought the Falcon and I'm thinking of getting a couple X-Wings for display)

Hey Svelte, thanks for the review. I like this set quite a bit, despite its poor piece-per-price count. The foliage is interesting, the accessories are there, and the figures are top-notch. A great add-on to Alamut, as now you can have a horse assault. The Hassassins are nice though plain, along with Dastan. That sword holder is really nice though!

I like the idea of the Creator castle set. It sounds like a great parts pack and it wouldn't hurt to include a rudimentary figure, just to scale. If I had control over TLC's set design, I would choose for castle: Knight's Quest: An small set with a knight and a bandit, with weapons for fighting and a rock with an interchangeable flag (to see who is king of the hill). 53 pieces, 7.99 CAN Bandit's Tower: Think the Wolfgang's fort, only made into a tower. With a ghost and 6 bandits, along with one peasant prisoner, like in the old castles. 490 pieces, $69.99 CAN Merchant's Cart: A travelling cart with various goodies, and gold. Mostly dark brown (rather than red brown) with large wooden wheels. Would come with a merchant, a knight or soldier and two bandits. 153 pieces, $19.99 CAN Knight's Keep: A rugged keep, with twisted plants at the base. Basically a large structure with culverts and crosses. Should be around 30cm tall, though wider at the base than the bandit's tower. Should come with 3 knights and 2 bandits, along with a king and a jester. Would also come with an exclusive knight with an exclusive weapon. Should be slightly broken down, and have breakable castle features like the King's Castle 2007. 1,002 pieces, $119.99 CAN Trebuchet Artillery: A set including a working "trebuchet", with two to three minifigs for crew. One of them could be a soldier of any class rather than crew, such as a soldier or musician of some sort. The trebuchet could be for either side, using small flags on the base to denote goodness or badness. 330 pieces, $49.99 CAN Peasant's Inn: An inn for the lower-classed citizens of Castleland. It would be a lot like the guarded inn from the 80's, only upgraded. It would include a couple of peasents, an innkeeper, and maybe a good knight). It would serve well as a special edition, although I suppose many would wish for a wide release. 253 pieces, $39.99 CAN

I might have to get this set, just because of the awesome Mola Ram. I remember ToD was my first IJ, and I loved it. My only worry is that it's priced $129.99 in Canada, and it only has $65.20 worth of pieces. I guess it makes up for it with the metre-long track. Looks like if anyone wants this set, now's the best time!

My thoughts are that that was an excellent train/Spiderman review. Personally, I like this set quite a bit. It's got a great amount of figures, Doc Ock (least favourite head, though), Spidey, J.J. Jameson and a basic train conductor. The train itself is simple but well designed for its purpose. The launcher definitely adds playability and is true to that part in the movie. I like the web wall, but I have one question: does it bend slightly when hit by the train or is the plastic too thick? I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was a LEGO/Spiteyourface made movie from 2004 about the Spiderman 2 sets- this one included. (thanks bunky213)

Good idea, but what colour would he be? I hope 2010 has a chrome Bossk, tbh.

That's amazing. I've never seen such a cool mod of an official set, it's really cool. I like the cockpit seats, and I have to say, your photography is excellent.

REVIEW: 7754 Home One: Mon Calamari Star Cruiser
The Eye replied to starstreak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the fantastic review! I'm torn between this and a few other sets for BDAY 2010. You've given me some more material to think about. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
The Eye replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My favourite would have to be Jabba's Sail Barge, or the Republic Swamp Speeder (not a joke). -
Amazing time lapse, especially for your first try. You have, however, convinced me not to buy this set, not by what you did, but because I don't like the set as much as I thought I would. It's nice, but I can't afford anything over 200$. Looks like I'll stick to the Imperial Flagship.

I liked the Aerial HK more than the HK tank, because I've only seen The Terminator and Terminator Salvation, and the parts with the Aerial HK were pretty cool (like when it crashed in Salvation )
-
In all honesty, I dislike Viva la Vida, but then again, there's no song that better describes him and his almost eternal rule. You captured it very well, though some parts didn't seem to make sense or go with the music. The best part was with Makuta rising in the tower and the music playing, as it was the most in-sync.

MOC: Maultarr the dark, and Gauki the tricky
The Eye replied to Leugi's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I love the use of Krana for masks, and the bodies look good. You should bulk up the limbs, however, as they look stringy and unappealing to the eye. -
I liked Keetongu because he introduced Keetorange and he killed Siddy. I also like Nidhiki because he's a classic villain, who looks like a spiderfreak. Finally, his partner, Krekka, my favourite Titan and Bionicle Set, because he was just so dumbfunny.

Dibs on William Blaze, seeing as he quit.

A great basilica/cathedral MOC. The roof and the walls are great, down to the towers, where I think the tan doesn't work out.
-
Excellent job! I love the mountainous terrain and the awesome log cabin with mossy roof (one of the best parts). I also love the joke with the gold underneath his house! A very good MOC.

Hi metalandi, An excellent review of an excellent set! This looks like a pretty interesting build, and in my opinion, it looks better with the baseplate than the two newer "modular castles" do. The minifigures are great and the barding on the horse shows the beautiful simplicity LEGO used to have (which is replaced with beautiful detail). I don't really like the crossbows and the front gate is strangely to the side, though I guess there's nothing really wrong with them other than being inaccurate. Looking forward to your other reviews.

Good vibes well placed. The podcast will probably become twice as popular as the already popular Behind the Helm.
