CADA battery with 4 motor outputs and remote control
le60head replied to Ivan_M's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello! Very useful read, thanks for sharing! After a bit of search I discovered, that the remote & receiver are available for sale in a Polish-based shop here: https://allegro.pl/oferta/zestaw-zdalnego-sterowania-2-4ghz-do-lego-technic-7808911436 The posted link aims to assist those of you who prefer to order it from a European location. I hope posting links to items for sale does not violate the forum rules. I will share my opinion about this product as soon as I get my hands on it.- 292 replies

Illegal Distribution of MOC Instructions

I was afraid it would be difficult to take actions against this case :/ Sariel, you could at least send you hamsters after the ill-doers! -
Illegal Distribution of MOC Instructions

My wish is to raise attention to this torrent. Thanks rm8! If any of the authors of the corresponding authors fell that their work is being illegally distributed, please advice on how to proceed. -
Illegal Distribution of MOC Instructions
le60head posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello! I came across this site: http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4852398 Unfortunately i do not understand Russian, but the linked page seems to contains instructions for MOCS by Sheepo, Sariel, Madoca, Nico 71 and others. I suspect the MOC instructions from those authors are not free for sharing, so my guess is that the above page is illegal. May i ask someone who understands Russian to confirm? -
TBs TechChallenge, 2014 - Reverse 42034 (Quad Bike)
le60head replied to BusterHaus's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi! I also looked for the pullback motor part in LDD and i cant find it. Tried all the numbers i could find for that part. I didn't notice any change from the pullback motor used in the technic sets from 2013 & 2014. Are you sure about it? -
Mindstorms RCX ... in hindsight
le60head replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Good question! Since all 3 generations of LEGO Robotics have some sort of built in wireless connectivity, my guess would be that was the reason to use infrared in RCX. For NXT and EV3, they replaced IR with Bluetooth. So in therms of connectivity the major difference between RCX and the latter two generations NXT & EV3 was that they included a wired connection between the Brick and a computer. Another thing i would like to mention is the Spybots and the Micro Scout. Those were from generally the same time as the RCX, and both used only Infrared to communicate with a computer. In the case of the Spybots, an optical cable was plugged directly into the Scout, so that i could transmit IR signals between the devices. -

Some help needed with Original Mindstorms RCX 1.0
le60head replied to calypso's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
From what i know, for the LEGO RCX Remote to work with the brick u need to have firmware installed to the brick. I do not know if u can download firmware to the RCX using BrickCC. I am sure u can download the firmware with the original software though. If u still cant find it, let me know :) Good luck! -

Hello! You can probably still find it uploaded somewhere. I wish not to say exactly what sort of sites u need to look in. Try using google! If you are unable to find it, i might be able to help you still. Unfortunately you cannot yet use Personal Messages :/ Best regards, Legohead -
[HELP] Control Mindstorms EV3 using Bluetooth gamepad
le60head replied to le60head's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you for your reply! So a driver must be written for the EV3 in order for it to communicate with the Bluetooth gamepad? If you tell me this would be impossible to do, it would still be a big help. -
[HELP] Control Mindstorms EV3 using Bluetooth gamepad
le60head posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello everyone! I was wondering if it is possible to use a wireless bluetooth gamepad to control a Mindstorms EV3 robot. My goal is to drive a car-like robot with two motors: one for steering and one for fw/back movement via bluetooth using a gamepad like Sony PS3 Sixaxis controller or another wireless bluetooth controller. The thing is that i do not want to use a PC to receive the signal from the gamepad and send commands to the EV3. I want direct communication between the gamepad and the EV3 brick. If anyone knows IF and HOW this might be done, i'd be really thankful if you shared your knowledge! -
