I got the Hydra Tank, and glad I did. A really fun build, with a great suspension system.

I never understood the appeal of King Tut or Egghead, but they're both canon now, so why not!

See, that's where we differ. I have always liked teen heroes. Young Justice was my first comic, and I am a huge Titans fan. Young Avengers was great on the Marvel side of things. You're free to call the minifigure Richard Rider, but it wouldn't exist if it weren't for Sam. And yet, Sam wouldn't exist without Richard. But it's nothing more than a p***ing match. "Rider is Better!" Who cares? Except those who are threatened by the existence of more options? Why can't we love what characters we love without trying to drag down the ones we don't? I am a Blue Beetle fan. I love ALL incarnations. But I meet people all the time who flat out refuse to acknowledge Jaime, who is an amazing character, simply because they refuse to acknowledge what they consider an usurper, never once acknowledging that Ted has no more claim to the title as he inherited it in his turn. Sam doesn't take anything away from Richard, but Richard fans try to take away from Sam. Why? If you want a Rider figure, make a case for one! Show Lego there's a market! There's a Nova set in GotG, is that Rider?

Yeah, I think it's time to give the Bat villains a rest. I want Brainiac, Metallo, Darkseid, Mongul. And Doomsday.

LEGO Doctor Who now a possibility?!
B-Lister replied to TheDoctor's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think only the current doctor should be made. Or all 12. The voting is unfairly favoring the current series. Classic fans didn't really even get a chance. I am so sick of seeing 10 and his dumb blonde sidekick plastered on everything Who, while the first 42 years get ignored. -
Stephanie was horribly mistreated in the end of the story. I am tired of seeing female characters die as a way to advance male characters. It was a good arc marred by a torture porn ending.

Over 100 DC characters made in LDD and MS Paint
B-Lister replied to SoupOrFishOil's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Some aren't bad, but there's plenty there I hope never get done. -
Aha! I was not aware......that means the Nova in the set is Sam Alexander! Now I gotta have that minifigure!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
B-Lister replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, even the 87 toon is a departure from the original comics, which themselves are a parody of Frank Miller's Daredevil. The only true constant is change. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
B-Lister replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really don't know what to think about this license. So much has changed since I was first a fan. Though I still love the original comics and the 87 cartoon, not much past that early stuff interests me. I want to love the sets, and have found a few that I do like, but I guess if I ever want a classic Party Wagon, or Technodrome, I'll have to MOC it. -
I hope this license lasts years, but I worry that they'll pull the plug. Seeing Nova and Beetle in the Marvel sets gives me hope, but I have yet to see an equally obscure DC character, save for Man Bat, and that gives me pause.

I think we'll have Hal by year's end. Perhaps Sinestro and another GL as well.

What is your least favourite Super Heroes set and why?
B-Lister replied to Godtshep's topic in LEGO Licensed
I believe it was a deliberate ruse on Marvel's part, in order to obfuscate the true villain/end of the film, and that TLG had very little say in the matter. -
I'm glad for it. I thought the changes in costumes were pretty ridiculous in some cases.

Kids get excited about new characters. I was the kind of kid who wanted to learn all about a new character being introduced. I got even more excited when I learned they had been around a while and there was a lot to learn about them!

I agree, but Flash and Arrow (Flash seems more family friendly than Arrow) exist, and could be ripe for merchandising. One hand washes the other. Granted, they're not cartoons, but TLG didn't strike while the YJ iron was hot either. I miss the days when the comics were enough to sell the toys.

DC is responsible. If they didn't want him doing it, Editorial should have stopped him. But editorial is Bob Harras, who was responsible for the same stunt at Marvel, only instead of The New 52, they called it Heroes Reborn. The fans had better sense, demanded the real MU back, and they canned Harras. Shame the same didn't happen with DC. But, DC is really getting the license out there, and it has resulted in some awesome sets from TLG. Just wish there were more classic styled minifigures, and more based on video game, movie, and film adaptations. TLG is sitting on a goldmine, I hope that they realize the fact that if they get as much out as possible, more fans will start buying. This license can be as big as Star Wars for them, if they just let the fans in a little.

So they took all of the NTT villains and are using them to prop up Green Arrow? Just another in a long list of inexcusable slights to Titans Fans in the New 52. Sometimes I wonder why I even support DC anymore. Alas, I'll still buy the sets and characters I love, and keep hoping for more.

The thing is, if they needed a Batman or Superman to anchor a CMF series, that still leaves 14 slots. Give us a Zur Enh Arrh Batman, and a Electric Superman (i'm all for Elseworlds, but not sure how deep TLG would want to go), then 14 new figures (not gonna post a list as that belongs in another thread) I doubt that would be an issue as there are plenty of other similar lines on the market. Some by Funko, as well as others.

Maybe this theme just isn't for you. I wish we could get a CMF series, I have literally dreamt of pulling a Ralph Dibny, or Boodikka.....of filling my shelves with Electric Blue Superman, and the entire Flash family. But unless I make 'em myself, I'm pretty sure that dream will never see fruition. But I dreamed of one day having Ghostbusters and BTTF Lego, and that is now a reality.

That is not an unreasonable expectation. We got Flash, and the rumor mill is abuzz with GL. SDCC is still a few months out, I'd expect a surprise or two then.

This theme is for mom and pop, not long time comics fans. Anything beyond the A and B List heroes is gonna be far and few. Appreciate that we're getting a few here and there, but expecting Stargirl is gonna end in disappointment. Best to learn to customize, or find a friend who can, if you want guys like Booster Gold, or captain Atom.
