and somehow your deliberate misspelling of fanboy, as well as your constant "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!" ignorance is intelligent or legitimate? you're screaming into an empty room. The only reason I even care is because you're getting so worked up about it, and I think its hilarious. it never fails to amaze me however, when a troll like yourself runs out of anything to say (or in your case never had anything worth saying in the first place), they resort to personal attacks. can't you realize that everybody here thinks you're clown shoes? It's pathetic. But then, your life must be pure bliss if the only thing you've got to complain about is toys. -

I'd venture a guess that the Zombie is the most popular, and most anticipated, and the one everybody will want most. I know I do. but I also dig the Caveman, Luchadore, Indian, Crash Test Dummy, Magician, Robot, and spaceman. I'll likely try for the whole set, however. -

well, it was intentionally hilarious, and accidentally ridiculous, but my point still stands. what's not historical about a cave man?, they existed. And if I was seven, and pulled that figure in a purchase, I would probably want to know more about Cave Men, if I didn't already know anything about them. so yes. History. but then, I've always been naturally inquisitive, and a little snarky. That said, the Caveman is definitely one of the best figures in the set, and I can't wait to add at least one to my collection. -

"Producing to Demand"? seriously? you show me ONE toy company that has ever gotten that right, and I'll tell you where to find the lost Dutchman Mine. Trust me pal, I've tangled with better, and more important than you, and came out the winner. don't believe me? head on over to criticalmess.net, and have a look for yourself. My reputation speaks for itself. Your ignorant, fingers in your ears reputation isn't worth the bandwidth that's hosting it. I absolutely LOVE how miserable this line is making you, and I hope its success makes you even MORE miserable, because if something as simple as a TOY can get you foaming at the mouth like this, I can only imagine what a REAL problem must be like for you. But please, I beg you, for the sake of your own health, if your left arm goes numb, take an aspirin, then call an ambulance. just for the sake of argument, just so we can have some frame of reference: When was the last time you WERE happy about a new Lego Set? -

Gashapon Figures are not 'trash'. grow up. You're acting like a child. Lego IS an educational toy, and with these blind-packaged figures, you're getting lessons in economics (the rarer figures are gonna be worth more) Fractions (each figure has its own rarity, or percentage of being 'pulled'), lessons in disappointment (if you don't get a figure you particularly care for), and victory (when you find one you do). as well as fair play, and history, in the Caveman, Indian, and Spaceman figures. -

The Penguin's Aladdin.... )

man, these are great. Makes me long for a Disney themed....theme....... I'd buy a lot of 'em, to be sure. maybe even branch into Kingdom Hearts territory, so we could get some Final Fantasy characters! but I digress, great customs. I can't wait to see more, and I'm not even really that big a Disney fan! -

The shovel just looks to have a plastic 'swirl' in it, not a scratch. it sometimes happens as hot plastic fills the mold, that it doesn't fill the cavity evenly. -

it's got nothing to do with pokemon, the 'blind boxed' toy is directly from the 'urban designer toy' market, that LEGO inspired! take a look at Kubricks, Qees, and even MiniMates, all of which are inspired by the design of the Lego Minifigure, and all of which are offered 'blind packed'. I think it's exciting not knowing what you're getting. Could be a Robot, could be a Ninja, could be a Zombie or a Clown. I, for one can't wait to start buying these, and I for one can't wait for the next wave! -
Island baseplate for me, followed by the telescope, new fire, and all the new food elements.

What is the hardest Lego set you have ever built?

Y'know, you may be kidding here, but it took me a while to figure out how that leaf attached to the headlight piece the first time. and I was one of the smart kids! -
What do you look for most in a lego set?
B-Lister replied to sok117's topic in General LEGO Discussion
for me it's all about the MiniFigures and the accessories. -
well, today it finally happened.... I completed all of the Pirate sets I had as a kid. I know that this really doesn't belong in this thread, but it kinda relates. awesome. I still need instruction manuals for most of 'em, but until then, there's always Peeron. So, that's Castle and Pirate finished, now I need to get Space and Town finished. I've gotta get pieces for the Vector Detector, the Allied Avenger, and the Galactic Peace Keeper, then a couple town sets, and I'm done with my vintage sets, and can focus on my new collections! not that I haven't been buying new lego all along anyway..... I oughtta review Cannon Cove sometime.

I'm not sure, but I'd imagine a lot of people like the Raid VPR, simply because Rench is wearing a Blacktron 1 outfit, as well as a button with the Blacktron 2 Logo. I love little nods to the originals like that. It's the only reason I bought the set!

looks like Lego is responding a bit to certain complaints that "Castle" has become "Epic Fantasy" and they're scaling the fantastic bits back. I'm not gonna complain much, I DO love the dwarves and the Orcs (and the skeletons to a lesser extent), but I think you can branch the Fantasy theme off, as a sub-theme. So long as they continue to support it, anyway. really, I just lament that Pirates is going on Hiatus. It feels like we just got it back, only to lose it again.

incredible, my only regret is that I can't see more high-res pics of it! :D

Derfel Cardarn You should turn the pics of your MOC in your signature into links, I'd love to see some of your other work!

Has anybody done the presidents as MiniFigures?
B-Lister posted a topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'd like to see some more Revolutionary Era MiniFigures. And while I know the majority on this board are not American, I think it'd be cool to see some of the key figures in the American Revolution done up as MiniFigures. so, has anybody tried?, are there Lego versions of Franklin, Jefferson, and Washington out there? did someone create a MOC of the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere? -

man, these are great. I have a complete set of the Marx Toys presidents from Washington to Nixon, but I'd also like to have a complete set of Lego Presidents!
