Pirates is just as exciting a theme as Castle, and I daresay FAR more interesting than City. I don't see why they ever discontinued it in the first place.

I really hope with Series 3 and all future series they remove the barcode cheat, so that the distribution is TRULY random.

I love how MOC fans make use of ANY new part, to help along! I never would've DREAMED the surfer torso would apply to a Pirate MOC, but that's because I sometimes fail to see the bigger picture. thanks, though, for showing the way!

I'm working on completing my vintage pirates stuff, and it's all about accessorizing now. so, is there any difference in the cutlasses and pistols?

I don't want to rock the boat or anything, but I have a Quick Question: why aren't MegaBloks allowed, but Brickarms stuff is? to me, that seems like pretty much the same thing. Secondary companies creating stuff that ISN'T officially LEGO.

I have the first Hagrid's Hut they did (with the paper roof) and while it looks good, I prefer the second one.

at $2 apiece, 30 bucks should net me near a complete set, or at least enough to trade for the ones I want.

Looking for the first couple issues of TwoMorrows' Brick Journal. I plan on collecting all of them, and having them custom bound.

I'm still on the lookout then, for the first issue of volume 2. I'm a big fan of Two Morrows' Books about comics, so I know that Brick Journal is gonna be a quality publication. anybody have a spare copy of Volume 2 #1? it's the only one I cannot buy online.

I'm a big fan of clubbing baby seals, so long as they stay away from the bar, and nobody lets them take Ecstasy. and they should have to pay a cover charge since they're not old enough to drink.

I always wanted a gripper claw without a stud on top. one of the 1x1 tiles, with the modified claw, but no stud.

color inconsistency is going to be a factor when you have more than one factory producing product, it's been that way since toys were made out of plastic, and it's not going to end, so, like it or not, it's a fact of life. there are plenty of deco variations on vintage Star Wars figures that attest to that, and it continues to this day in other lines.

at first, I'm not gonna care what I get. I plan on buying TEN of these things, and hoping that I don't get too many doubles. to me, my first purchase of ANY random product is always exciting, because I'm always guaranteed something I don't already have. are there ones I prefer more than others?, sure, but the only one I don't care for completely is the clown.

I still call them legos, and will do so probably forever. I don't see what the big deal is.

Star Wars is too hot a property. Anybody who forges a contract with Lucasfilm does so long-term, because it's the license that keeps on giving. think about this, the Lego license is already 10 years old, and shows no signs of stopping. the Hasbro/Kenner License is already fifteen years old, and they signed an 18 year deal, just after Episode III (during a time when the property's future was uncertain). so it is a brand with legs.

I've got a few, so it'll be nice to add more. apparently, 'officially' the Wolfpack is considered an offshoot of the Forestmen, so I've got even more!

I always wanted a Lego Sombrero, as a kid, we used some of the mustached pirates as Mexicans (I Had a friend who was mexican, and his dad looked a lot like the Mustache Pirate, so we always called that pirate "Jose").
