4chan's obsession with ice planet is largely benign as far as I can tell. The fascination lies in the way multiple orange chainsaws can be fitted together to make ludicrous shapes.

Well, sometimes you have to wait for a bargain. Personally, I love after Xmas sales. Sure, it's a gamble on what you'll find, but you can usually find something worth your while. -
All good, buddy.

This set is turning up in the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart for half price. Good assortment of mini figures, and plates in uncommon colors. -
For airships, there IS a blimp balloon piece from the Adventurers theme. It is rare, and expensive, but looks good in pairs.

The brown could represent copper. Further in many Steampunk settings, ray guns exist, so a wooden barrel would merely direct the beam, rather than contain the pressure of gas expansion. Finally, it's his MOC, and he can use whichever parts he likes, perhaps these were the only parts available to achieve this design?

Grays, browns, and metallics (copper and brass being the most popular), hoses, gears, vents, etc. You don't have to have a ton of brown but it helps. Seems if you have sets from the era of Rock Raiders/Western/Adventurers, you tend to have the assortment of parts required for Steampunk MOCs.

Since my request went unanswered, I took the liberty of designing my own. More to come. (Next one will be the Golden Age Flash).

Lego can't touch it because Mega Bloks has the license. Until that changes, the answer is no. But, by the looks of the sets, they are doing a good job with it. Still, my loyalties lie with LEGO.

Actually, Harry used the sock he was wearing. Still a sweet dio.

Awesome. Nice use of the Hippogriff as a gargouille! -
Love the little details.....the grate under the dock, the white water near the boats...... Sweet work.

The new Robin. Superman

Plates are a convenient way to fill large space with a single color, I see no fault in using them.

Looks great! Big comic fan, and this doesn't just evoke Hellboy, it also evokes the heavy blacks of Mignola. Well done!

Which is why I gave it to the Joker, as he, and the crowbar (and Jason Todd) have had a torrid romance. I noticed that too. They need to stop giving us Batpods, and give us a proper Batcycle. It'd be neat if we could get some sets with a classic, Bronze Age Robin, too. -

I tried doing this with mine, and failed, so it's nice to see it can be done. -
Yeah, Marvel is still pretty much holding the reigns and calling the shots as far as the 'publishing comics' thing goes (which is why the MAX and Icon imprints continued after the acquisition), so the parent company branding should be lower key than with the house brands.

What sets do you have? I'm certain the WB logo is on the box, because I have four of the new sets, and it is on all of them.

Even if we don't, we now have a bowler hat piece, so how hard can it be to make your own?

Found the Knight Bus for 25 this week. Make sure you're scanning the item, sometimes they do not mark the item as clearance, but it still rings up on sale.

Which characters would you most like to see? Warner Bros and DC Comics are the same company.

Just got this set and it is hands down, the best in the new theme thus far (Lexbot is a close second). -

Why can't they do boxed minifigure sets like they did back in the 80s? -
Sincerest apologies! Completely missed that. Still, like this better than either of TLG's versions, but understand the reasons they did them the way they did. I like certain things about each, but this combines a lot of what I like about both, while changing some of what doesn't.
