Jurassic World 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

But it would be quite boring. The thing about Dimorphodon is that it is completly different from a Pteranodon. -

Thats a nice one. And I don't think, that since it is essentially a single piece of rubber would be that unrealistic. Themes like Ninjago or Star Wars get a lot of obscure Monster/Alien head and stuff that will be used in a single set, so why not JW? I think that Lego is finally realizing, that Dinos are very good for selling sets. -

They will be more visible for the visitors but have problems with sunburns. -

Yes, looks like a typical dreamworks animation. And I wonder why they didn't already do that AMG 6x6 after JW came out. And can somebody tell me what that Camp Cretaceous is? Summercamp for rich spoiled kids? -

Is there a reason why they are explicity male? I think that a Dimorphodon could be a good alternative to the Pteranodon some people are a bit tired of. It would be a bit smaller and have a tail, but functionwise ti should be the same. Stegosaurus is a no-brainer and Ceratosaurus could be that way to introduce a medium/large sized bipedal body-plan between the Rex and the Indoraptor. -

I think it is interesting how much their design improved between this and the new Dilo. In case of the Baryonyx, I would claim it is recognizeable. -

At least in Germany Outpost Attack isn't available since at leat half a year. You can still find it at some places, but the big ones don't have them anymore. You mean the only decent 2019 set? -

Talking about combining different sets: Am i the only one, that finds it weird, how we had about half a dozen sets containing fences but all with different styles and not two of them designed to be combined? And I don't know if selling the Dinos on their own or at least in sets that would contain much less additional bricks would be really that bad for buisness. Just think about it: How many kids would like to have a T. Rex but can't afford the 70-100+€ a set containg one would cost. But at 20€ or even 30€? Despite being much more expensive then the "Dino price" you have to pay extra on the larger sets. The same with smaller Dinos. I could even think of a large variety of very unique Dinos as collectible items. Each one prominent visible in a clear plastic container with a bit of landscape or a single figure. -

Not to mention, that many characters are really boring in the end. i mean, how many fedora guys would people want? It worked for HP because the characters there are quirky, almost cartoonish which translates to Lego quite well, but the adventure/outdoor guys from JP don't -

And they still decided to change helmets for no reason after 20 years. A new smaller Raptor wouldn't only make them more accurate, but also make them a cheaper alternative for smaller sets. Or the actual posibility to form packs of them. -

Still wish for a minifigure size raptor. Those monstrosities don't work for me. -

For me Zia has the same Problem as Claire: That hairstyle doesn't work on Lego heads. And I do wonder if there are really chracters that had a role in the movies but no figures. Of course many of the were only in one set, but the movies also were overly centered on Claiere and Owen. And this doesn't mean that there aren' enough Owens out there. -
Does this already includes the collapse of the Pound or is there another Swampspeeder I don't know about?

Can we just agrree that there are too much bad Owens? And why has Claire in the Gallimimus set her Fallen Kingdom outfit? Doesn't make any sense except for making Buisness-Claire an exclusive for the 100€ set. I mean, the figure doesn't even look that good, since the very hard and orderly look of her doesn't translate well into Lego. -

I like that they know use a candle pice for the clones blaster rifle instead of a technic pin. Not sure how it will look IRL though. -

Probably, because some genius didn't order enough of thise sets to be produced because he misjudged how many sets will be bought. (Something that happened to Lego quite often in the recent years) BTW, can somebody tell me why those sets still aren't on Amazon? -

Nah, it is clearly based on a vehicle i built as a kid during Dino2010 times. It also used very big wheels while being relativley short and not very high above the wheels. But instead of a Lab it had a Dinocage in the back. (i wasn't allowed to have the Hummer because I recreated it myself appearantly) -

Is it me, or does that net shooter not work any better then the turbine? What I dislike now about the batmobile, is that it doesn't really have a theme. It is big and massive, but only transports that small lab and only has a very small netlauncher. And it has two drones, but no command centres for them. It is just missing something. -
Custom LDD bricks and fixes

Superb work so far, but some of the bricks you are showing in the main thread can't be found on Github. (For example the roller coaster parts) -

The new Sets are now available. While the Indominus set is kinda ok at 99€ and the lab is good at 20€, the Gallimimus set costs 60€. Is it me or is that way to high, even for the standards of Lego JW? I am taking bets on the price Amazon will start those sets with. -
[LDD] Better Preview for Decorations
mon-o-mat posted a topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I haven't found anything here in the froum, but after using LDD for years I wonder i there is any way to increase the preview/selection window for decorations. On my monitor it is so small, that especially for minifigure bodies it is really hard to recognize what you are looking at. There doesn't seem to be anything in the Option menue, but maybe there is a way somehow hidden.
