  1. I will say that I think the print of the Technician looks like a downgrade from the previous figure. So much so that the Designer video actually has the older version without the printed arms on the display stand.
  2. It's weight is almost twice that of the older SSD that was only a touch longer. It's an absolute beast. So nothing that's going to be flimsy or less dense than the Falcon. This isn't a build that's 'way smaller' in any way.
  3. Have people come to terms with only two figures in the ISD yet?
  4. The figures for the Falcon fit inside it so are part of the play features of the vessel. The scaling of the TIE and Snowspeeder meant they weren’t part of the play feature so are there for display purposes only. The Slave 1 is minifig scale as is the Falcon so again, the minifigures are part of the play features of that set. The Imperial Shuttle was the same. Historically, UCS sets that aren’t minifig scale aren’t minifig-centric in their offerings (X-Wing had R2, B-Wing had none, Y-Wing had a single Pilot and Droid, Batman’s Tumbler had Bats and the Joker). If there’s no interior for play then they won’t include figures just for the sake of it.
  5. You really think an ISD that’s almost as long as the SSD and 33% bigger than the last UCS ISD needs figures? This thing is massive, and it’ll have some decent sized parts rather than just making numbers up with tiny plates and tiles. A tech and an officer for the stand (as there’s nowhere for them inside it) and a beast of an ISD. Sounds enough to me. And just to annoy everyone it’s not even an officer from ANH.
  6. Imperial Crewman and Imperial Officer with it. I'm going with printed arms for the crewman at least. New Imperial Officer rank. Probably with existing heads. This isn't about the figures. It's all about the build. I was rooting for Lego revealing this completely leak free but you can't legislate for some clown at a taking a pic of a display model as it arrives can you? Especially one that's directly under a sign that says no images.
  7. I think he got frustrated by people constantly asking for more info or getting frustrated that not enough was being shared. Either way, he isn't posting here anymore. He was a good bloke though. I echo the sentiments about Lego getting a leak free reveal. I think the lack of figures leaking through the factories has really helped also.
  8. Well after this it’s all new. But there will always we waves of sets that include rereleases. Just as there will always be a Falcon on shelves.
  9. I'm more inclined to believe there's only two figures. Probably something exclusive about them. I think it all depends on how much interior space there is. If there isn't much then no need for more than two figures. Personally I'm happy with there being very few figures in sets like this. These things should be about the build. I remember the Red Five just having R2 and the B-Wing having none. Figures populate the sets so it works for things like Ewok Village, CC and DS.
  10. I think anyone hoping for DS levels of figures will be disappointed in the same way the people who thought the Helicarrier would have 20 figures were.
  11. Didn't a BrickLink seller have loads of that unpainted hair a while ago? I think it's more likely that someone has grabbed an image off Taobao and people jump on it as a leak.
  12. Brikkyy obviously entered my head while I was asleep and posted my thoughts for me. I commend your mastery of the dark arts.
  13. So what’s the threshold for larger UCS sets? Is it just DS, Milf & ISD? Do we include CC in that at £300? Also... I may have missed it, and my box is in the loft, but can someone show me the ISD silhouette on the Falcon box?
  14. People seem to forget about things like the Snowspeeder being a UCS set. That didn’t appear as a silhouette anywhere. Any appearance is just coincidence.
  15. I'll go as far as to say that in recent years I've actually sold the latest iterations of the AT-AT, Star Destroyer, Jabba's Palace, Rancor Pit, Sail Barge and skiffs because I just didn't really like the sets anymore. And I'm pretty much strictly OT. I wasn't a fan of the scaling of those sets so they weren't working for me... hence they're gone. I'm far less concerned about feeling the need to hold on to something for the sake of collecting or any kind of peer-based attachment to a particular set. If you're just not feeling that Vonreg TIE then let it slide.
  16. Buy what you like. Don't buy what you don't. If you don't like a film but like a set then buy it. If you like a film but don't like the set then don't buy it. There are lots of people that are completists when it comes to SW Lego. They need to own everything released... That would drive me insane... a monotonous journey of buying stuff you may not be interested in just for the sake of completion. You may find that you have love for a subject matter but your interest in Lego drops. I've concentrated a little more on prop replicas and things like Hot Toys/Sideshow figures recently but still evaluate each and every Lego set with whether I want it or not.
  17. I think it'll be Milf pricing range. Not £1000 and not £500
  18. It’s got a 20th Anniversary tile on it and follows the Hoth dio formula. The Obi Wan polybag isn’t part of that single wave either but it’s got the same Anniversary packaging style.
  19. Has that been officially verified? Im not convinced by that set. Every other 20th Anniversary set, including polybags, have had the same style of packaging. But that one didn’t. Something seemed very odd about it.
  20. Because Lego does not deem it relevant or necessary at this point.
  21. It's possible but that this stage I'd say it's either the AT-ST or BrickLink for them. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for them definitely appearing in this form again in another set in the near future.
  22. But that’s not down to Lego. That’s down to the design choices of the team putting IX together. They’re the vessels that seem to be prominent in the new movie and as such are deemed to be the sellers. Vessels will be repeated... that’s the nature of wave after wave of toys. There’ll always be a Falcon on shelves too... whichever iteration of it. Nobody is forced to buy anything... and rumours threads aren’t the place to spam about something that isn’t deemed necessary by Lego at this point.
  23. If you're on Flickr then follow Hoth Bricks (I'm sure you may already do). When those hi res files are available they'll have them straight away.
  24. Images for things like the Speeder/A-Wing/Y-Wing/Kylo Shuttle/Falcon were leaked in perfect quality but it looks like Disney closed that door. I'm sure they're available somewhere though. Are they what you were meaning?
