MOC: One afternoon at the Honey Hole Hotel . . .
samurai-turtle replied to Deathdog's topic in LEGO Town
Poor guy. Why is called Honey Hole Hotel? (I guess I was expecting it to look more like a honey-comb.) -
Where is Tonto's horse? (I remember him having one.) [starts humming the Lone Ranger tune.]

Will this be useful in Valentine?
samurai-turtle replied to parchioso's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Does the original one have the darker red in it? And, if you want to impress the wife/girlfriend I would go with the rose model. -
Welcome, hope to see more of you around here.

Welcome, it looks like you got an impressive display going on their.

REVIEW: 8958 Granite Grinder
samurai-turtle replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This was my first Power Miner set and it is good over all. Except the orange dump-truck bucket, I think it is out of place but it is welcome no less. I also add to the helmets but, I used mostly goggles. I also think it was one of the better priced sets in the theme. -
It looks like some one had an accident there. Good delivery truck by the way.

I am 100% Dust in the wind. On somewhat more serious note I am 70% "Hoosier" and 30% "Buckeye". I will give you a cookie, if you can figure out what a "Hoosier" and a "Buckeye" are.

I do, got to love Gus (but not in that way).

MOC Marco Polos house in Venice
samurai-turtle replied to thomassio's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice fireplace and I am wondering where did the picture of the boat come from. (I think you need to re-size your pictures a little to big, 600x400 I think.) -

It is nice. And for direct posting a picture in the thread their is a button at the top of the posting screen it says "Inert Image" when you point at it. And their is a tutorials around here I think in "website & forum" threads if you need more help. -
Has anybody done the presidents as MiniFigures?
samurai-turtle replied to B-Lister's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I did years ago for a school project. And no I do not have any pictures for it. From what I remember I used castle wall parts and red slopes for the roof threw in some trees. And used two pirate figures one riding a horse and the other one running out with his flint lock rifle both wearing tricorn hats. -
The second version is definitely an improvement to the first one. The second looks like a complete "mecha" where the first one looks like body/legs was in repair or something.

I used the Star Wars Sandcrawler and a green base plate for this building. I also made the building modular. I guess the reason I turned the Sandcrawler unto a building was it's already a box shape and I figure why not. The Outside A The Outside B The Inn Part A Better View Of The Fancy Bed The Bar Room

Hello, so the story with this model is, I was trying to make a modular building and this is the end result. I only added the green base plate every thing else is from 7094 King's Castle Siege. Sorry for the slow reply. I glad every one like it. I did take some pictures of what is inside the stable with out the outer wall (sorry they are a little fuzzy).

A good lesson for any one.

If you have a samurai you are more than welcome to add me.

Why were cannons in the USA non-shooting?
samurai-turtle replied to Jack Bricker's topic in LEGO Pirates
The story I herd was some kid chocked to death from a missile in a Battle-Star Galactica "Viper". And then some law suit happen, then new laws passed for new toy safety. The original Boba Fett action figure from Kenner was going to have a shooting missile backpack. But, the new safety laws forced them to get rid of the shooting missile. I hope this gives some insight of what might of happen. -
I will echo the sediment about the dish and triangle parts. Of course I am wondering how did you attach the dishes to the rest of the wall? The only thing I am coming up with is some sort of gravity system.
