Hello! Fellow Lego addict here.
samurai-turtle replied to Legononymous's topic in Hello! My name is...
Yes, some older than me. Don't worry it is only by nine years. (I hope I am not being annoying.) And, welcome to Eurobricks I hope you have fun here. -
Nice speederbikes motojets. The rest of the base is pretty rad too.

At first I thought you threw the plane, until I seen the original picture. Over all a nice plane.

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
samurai-turtle replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The one I look at 8957 Mine Mech is around $4.50. The others I did not look at with the price scanner, sorry. But I am guessing your market may be different. -
Parts you wish TLG would use less of
samurai-turtle replied to jonwil's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just because it is the best part, does not mean it is not getting overused. I will agree about the flick-fire function. Is it not in any Star Wars sets today? That will probably be in second place. -
I will add my $0.02. The only reason to get this set is for the mini-figures. At the time I did not have any of them so I bought the set at full price. (I probably would of waited for them to go on clearance other wise.)

I will say the front wheel seems out of place compared to the back wheel. If you could replace the front wheel with a ball I would think the bike would be able turn on a dime or better.
-
I will second that.

It kind of looks like Plinko from "the Price is Right".

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
samurai-turtle replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
K-Mart is having an additional 30% off clearance-priced toys. It might be worth a look. I did spot a Power Miner set on clearance with a couple of Bionicle sets. Sale ends on February the 13th a Saturday. -
Review: 6081 King's Mountain Fortress
samurai-turtle replied to metalandi's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Ahhh memories. I got this set for Christmas (well my brother too, we had to share). At the time the ghost and princess with the barding where the best(the only ones we had at the time). But sadly the instructions went missing that irked me at the time, good thing I found them online now I can rebuild the set. My set is complete but, the base plate is cracked in spots (sadly that is my fault it is cracked another thing that irked me) fortunately is still usable. -
Pretty good hope to see the final version.

I think the background is distracting from the MOC. Other wise it seems average to me.

REVIEW: 8189 Magma Mech
samurai-turtle replied to Aanchir's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I liked the set but it could of used a extra umph(SP?). Was it just me or did any one else had trouble with the "knees" staying together? I would pick the thing up and the bottom part of the leg would drop off. -

9 Year Old Suspended because of "LEGO" Gun
samurai-turtle replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think you might be thinking of something completely different. -
Welcome, the Medieval Market Village is a nice set. (I got it on the Black Friday sale @ LEGO.com. And no I not have the Imperial Flagship but I would like to get it one day.)

For all of you Kristin Kreuk fans she is going to be on a few episodes. The episode names (all start with "Chuck vs.") are the mask, nacho sampler, first class, the beard, and the nose. Some of these are all ready online if you had not see them.

{Disturb you} For that category goes to "Idiocracy". If you watch it and are not scared you must have a lot of hope for the future. The main reason it scares me is how easy this can become true. One more thing this is a comedy (for those that do not know). {Why?} This one goes to "The Adventures Of Sharkboy & Lavagirl 3-D". First of the director's son wrote and he made it into a movie. Second if you are over five do not watch this. Now I can normally stand to watch "kids movies" but this one I regret watching in it entirety. Third it is in 3-D I do not think it was that good at the time (and no I didn't see it in 3-D. I watch it at home, where I didn't spend any money on it, one good thing about it.) And fourth :skull: George Lopez :skull: is in it as the bad guy no less. (I guess Mr. Lopez is all right in small does but he can get annoying after awhile.)

What is with the scorpion in the treasure chest? Is it some sort of trap to keep out thieves (I was playing Final Fantasy, I guess I'm getting ideas from the game).
-
Funny little MOC, of course I do not want to drink the water by that thing.

Tombclone: Ye Olde Stage Coach MOC

You are mean to your horse first thing their is a big chunk missing from its back and second he needs a buddy helping him pull the big wagon full of people. Other than that it is great. -
