Most bars sell pub-food as well, Wings, Nachos, etc. How about yours? If it were a british pub it could have a cool name, maybe something like "The Brick & Plate".

When I read this I initially thought you were looking for the victim. I was going to suggest burnt Anakin from the new Palpatine's Shuttle set.

I saw this a while back and still think its great. With as cool as the brickwork is its a shame the rest of the building doesn't have more detail. Regardless, good stuff.

That's beautiful.

Mid-Scale Republic Gunship & Dropship/AT-TE
gotoAndLego replied to gotoAndLego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks guys, wow front-paged. I'll post new photos towards the beginning of next week. I can carry the combo around without concern. I cheated the connection with this. You can see them in the first LAAT/c photo. The arms and white dish are not structural, and I can pull the pins, topped with the yellow technic washer, and separate the two. Maybe for a bit of the neck, but that's like saying everyone who does a Star destroyer has to credit TLG because they used an internal frame and slanted plates and wings. My first version of the white sides had some convoluted bracket and turntable method of connection which I replaced with the tried and true technic bar/blue pin technique. Hopefully you don't feel I aped yours without credit, my apologies if you do. -
Mid-Scale Republic Gunship & Dropship/AT-TE

I have the system gunship and my mids are little less than half. I can't take photos as its disassembled to be turned into a dropship to carry my 7675. -
Mid-Scale Republic Gunship & Dropship/AT-TE
gotoAndLego replied to gotoAndLego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While it can sit alone I didn't really design it to. The arms that connect to the AT-TE rotate back on their single pins. The back will be propped up on the black triangular technic connector, but its not long enough to keep the /c sitting level. Making the connecting arm a structural element really bulks it up which throws off its already questionable proportions. -
I like it, just not as a Pub. Pubs don't have that many windows and are dark. Maybe it should be a martini bar or wine bar, but then it would need some yuppies, trendies and chavs. :D What are you going to do for a Jager machine?

REVIEW: 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT
gotoAndLego replied to starstreak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's not an option. Lego's AT-TE is proportianally correct to their Dropship/ATOT set. To leave the gun forward you would have to have a significant space between the front of the ATTE and that part of the DS. Then it would no longer be a proper sized DS. I went back and watched the movie, and I think the main gun sticks forward and just to the side of the front DS part. -
I think its very swooshable, assuming you swoosh it at the same speed it moves in the movie. :D While I would never do something like this, I bet if you packed this sucker with a bunch of M80 firecrackers it would make for a fantastic end to a stop motion movie. With it being as delicate as you say it is I bet you wouldn't destroy any parts.

REVIEW: 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT

Just spin to gun around so the barrel points out the back. -
Holy cow, I remember that torso pattern. With the simplified face, he might just be an intern. Thanks for the memories.

Well that's way nicer than mine, then again, I ran out of bricks.
-
Yeah, I know my color palette is pretty sweet.

Was it my quality photography or my lack of detail that peaked your interest? OP. Lookin good, can't wait to see the whole diorama.

You should have someone surfing on one of those little square Death Star mouse-bots. If you want to be truly enigmatic, try this...

LOL. All I require from a Transformers movie is big-megablocks robots beating the hell out of each other, things blowing up, and Megan Fox wearing very little. So far MB has delivered on all accounts.

Just use a minifig for scale and base it on reality. You can also look at existing modular houses for comparison.

I put together the used one I just bought and its a great set. I also like the new yellow one.

So what, I don't have that Han so I'm happy he's included.

What happened to Western discussion?
gotoAndLego replied to David Thomsen's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You should inject some life by building a MOC or creating a competition. -
Rebel speeders would not be inside an Imperial AT-AT, I think he means sort of as a diorama.

Actual ship has sphere, Lego set has sphere. You could do something radical like NOT put a droid inside the sphere, which is accurate to the ship, and even has relatively accurate printing, and be happy that they gave you some extra minifigs. At least they nailed the number of thrusters so you don't have to complain about that as well. PS. Its a $20 set.

I have my Midi - LAAT/i and /c finished and want to make a small display for them for BrickSouth so I figured I'd park them in landing bays. It doesn't have to be the Venerator, but I figured that's the most likely they'd be parked. Does anyone have links to images or photos of what they look like?

Yeah, there's no place to fasten bricks inside those cockpit pieces and I can't see an official set having a loose brain flopping around in there.
