The head looks too large...too long. The front legs should be more massive. Rear feet are too small.

Whats funny is I remember similar reactions to the Diner, which you love.

I like the brown technic pieces for the barrier in the corner closest to us. Clever parts usage. -
Looks great.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
gotoAndLego replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Yeah and half the people on here want big buildings without much in the way of interiors which kind of defeats the purpose on an apartment or hotel. -
A couple of thoughts to replace the roof-line technic shields:

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
gotoAndLego replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The only problem I can see with a hotel or apartment building is size and cost; how much space would each apartment in the building take? Another thought is how would you avoid the build being repetitive since you are basically repeating the same interiors in different colors and exteriors; to be frank, Grand Emporium was pretty repetitive but since modulars were fairly new (both in sets and MOCs) I didn't mind. Maybe something the size of GB Firehouse could hold enough rooms and apartments to actually feel like a hotel to apartment building. They would probably need to use the large brick pieces and panels to give us the necessary size without driving up the parts count. -

While that depends on the kid's skill it really isn't a complex build.

Why don't you integrate your lighthouse into it and use it in that corner.

I was wondering if you were going to do anything for the TT. Have you thought about a Manx radio office in Ballabreek?

People often forget that building up and adding layers is often more interesting than building out. Takes up less too as well.- 9 replies

You could modify them to be the correct scale. -
Its so nice inside its a shame you didn't design one wall to be removable.

It makes sense that an Emerald Night re-release would be in the form of an Expert Hogwarts Express.

One strategy would be to message the builder.
