Mooch replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
I feel like there was a treehouse set very recently. I’m most interested in the street food!- 136 replies

Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion
Mooch replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It’s really annoying that they can’t still take orders for it. I don’t know what the difference is between “backordered” (can still order) and “temporarily out of stock” (can’t order). Dumb. -
Should lego do Star Trek or just Star Wars
Mooch replied to Jimalaya's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I wouldn’t really be interested in any starship models... but a mining scale TOS Enterprise bridge set would be awesome! If it was decently sized. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Mooch replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I was lucky, as only Market Street was out of print when I started collecting, and I was able to get a new copy on eBay (from Singapore) for $350. -
I was hoping there would be a double VIP points promotion in Sept. Oh well.
-
My only complaint with this set is that I think the lighthouse needs to be taller. I don't know if I have the correct pieces to extend it, though.

How do you control your spending & what do you collect
Mooch replied to Seeky's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I try to restrict my collecting to City, Friends, and Star Wars, although I've cut out Star Wars pretty much since most sets are repeats of sets I already have. I still need to get the B-Wing that's out now. I haven't been able to buy much City in a while--I wanted to get some of the arctic sets, but I haven't bought any yet. I want to get a few of the Elves sets more. -
March's Double VIP- What are you buying?
Mooch replied to TheFuzz's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm getting caught up on the Friends sets (mines the latest Vet subtheme) on my first order (today), and getting a few Elves sets, the Detective Office, and B-Wing on the second order (towards the end of the promotion). It's expensive trying to stay caught up on lego. I've had to cut back my City & Star Wars purchases so I can buy other sets. -
That's weird, I got them ages ago. I wonder why the delay?

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary Minifigure (2014)
Mooch replied to DarthR2-D2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is there a new visual dictionary coming? -
Yes, and I've seen them at Toys R Us here too. I picked up the penguin and the tiger.
-
I find it humorous that the logging truck comes with one minifig scale tree trunk and two tiny little trees.
-
I don't see any mention of it on the Canadian Lego site. Maybe it won't be up until the new sets are available on Jan 1. It looks like Kate in 41037 (Stephanie's Beach House) is the exact same as Kate in 41000 (Water Scooter Fun) too. At least they are the same character.
-
Actually I just noticed it the other day, haha!
-
I was lucky, I got Cafe Corner while it was still in production, and I was able to eBay Market Street (NIB) from a seller in Singapore for a reasonable price (~$300). I definitely wouldn't pay what they are going for now!
-
I picked up 41039 Sunshine Ranch at a Toronto Lego store today. They also had 41057 Heartlake Horse Show, but those were the only new sets I saw (they also had some Disney Princess sets).
-
I saw all the sets except Rapunzel's Tower at a Lego store here in Toronto. I haven't picked up any yet though.

Ah, so they are! I was looking in the Friends sticky.
-
I was wondering if these would be in Friends-shaped boxes! It's nice that they finally have a "dress" piece that doesn't make the minifig taller than the rest, too bad it's not compatible with regular minifigs. I want these sets mostly so I can add the minifigs in regular Friends sets.
-
Is there a thread for the 2014 Friends sets? I don't see a sticky anywhere.

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
Mooch replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think a Friends-syle CMF series would be pretty cool, it would be interesting to see what they would come up with. I also thing Chima would have been interesting if it was based around the minidoll-style.- 208 replies

I put together the 60014 Coast Guard Patrol today, and I noticed one of the stickers says "HA 7190" on it. I thought that was odd. I looked up 7190 and it is a Millennium Falcon set from 2000.
-
Oh okay! I thought it was odd that they wouldn't release all the Coast Guard sets together.
