My detective super powers revealed that the owner of the Brickshelf has posted bzpower reviews in the past.

Gorilla and Eagle legend beasts look like actual decent sets, the rest not so much. The addition of minifigures improves things significantly.

I love stickers when I don't want the pieces to have the design in the first place. I hate them when I do. In this case, I couldn't be happier. Evo XL machine is looking wonderful. What worries me is that they barely brought a couple of small HF sets this year, so Evo XL might not even come here :/. Pondering very seriously in buying online ( All $$$ burned in shipping). It seems the cockpit only works for HF figs. That is an absurdly huge fail. Pictures appear to confirm that the spiders' carapace will be a useful armor piece in its own right. Black skeleton torso and red minifigure head. I approve the reuse of old elements. Close up pic with the new minifigure parts tell me the legs and hands will be useful for general purposes and the armor might be wonderful space marine armor for minifigs. Which means I will have to buy many more mechs than planned. I really like this:

Now I am like splitter beast even less than before :/

Evo Walker looks like a cool set. Many spiders, original build. Easy way to get minifigure parts and cockpit. I think the Kaiju are the weak part of the theme. Whilst I think I might get all the mechs because they are too cool, the Kaiju all look like the same thing. They tend to have the same head even. Not only that, but their builds are the same humanoid stuff we have been getting; The only thing difference is the new bricks. The last hope would be that splitter beast actually splits, but that's looking less likely the larger the pictures we get. A win for LEGO, there aren't really so many HF fans, but there are tons of system fans.

Hero Factory: robots built by/for robots?
vexorian replied to badbob001's topic in LEGO Action Figures
For some reason, after reading the title, I was expecting to see a Mindstorms MoC that can assemble HF sets. -
I like transparent color cockpits. In this theme there was an opportunity to have them in different colors. Edit: I found the really high res images and it seems Freeze machine uses light blue wind screen. That's sexy. I just wanted to see more like that. Like trans yellow ones. It appears Front is not trolling when saying that these use normal-sized minifigure heads. I hope the faces are helmets put over a MF head.

I hope those canopies are stickers. I don't need canopies that say "stormer" on them. Also sad they are apparently clear plastic, that will be so much boring,

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
vexorian replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am sold. This looks like a version of time twisters that has cool quality sets and far more mechs. My only complaint is that Lord Bussiness' giant legs are going to be the most unstable build ever.- 2626 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion

Toy R Us = not everywhere. -
That's really not a big deal as long as there are many other jokes that everyone can get.

I think it looks good. I think it is the picture quality that doesn't do him justice.

This guy I made a while ago doubles a minifig in height: But we can always try and do Villain MoCs using system bricks. Biggest issue is the faces.
-
I think you can approach WD's size in same scale as the HF minifigs using XT4's torso.Villain minifigures sounds like 2014's MoC project.

I would love something like shells in that metallic silver color that is sometimes used in system. Of course it would be for a large, special set. My next unfulfilled fantasy is for a set of Von Nebula riding a giant , black dragon. Which can totally happen if it turns out VN is really the mind behind the brains and the monsters from below. Just make VN a minifigure. The world needs a VN minfigure.

Something I hate about this wave is that I can't fin the posts I made yaers ago about how I'd like a theme that combined minifigures and mechs using Hero Factory 2.0 style .

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
vexorian replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I will only get Lincoln, Panda, girl with black dress , Shakespeare and the Mexican restaurant worker (mostly because I couldn's get any of series 3). The rest are not great ideas. Specially the robots, they aren't great as robots or as the characters the robots are portraying, too movie-specific I'll pass. -
I remember Witch Doctor having an odd prototype in one of the fairs, but did that strange prototype ever appear as box art?
-
Whenever they show box/canister/bag art with "confidential" watermarks on them, I don't remember any time at which the models were really preliminar. I don't remember any actual change in the design from what the bag art showed and the final set. The only difference was that the lack of watermark, the high res , and the white background made it easier to notice the details.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
vexorian replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I googled for lion legend beast, and I think they would be creator-style brick constructed monsters with some new bricks for the details. I doubt they would be constraction. Probably they intend to use Chima as a gateway theme to niches. Wait till 2015 Chima has technic tanks and 2016 Chima has friends minidools. -
So, it was hard for me to notice (mostly blame the watermarks), but Evo Walker confirms it when zoomed in: the mechs have canopies. Yes, same piece as the NinjaGo technodragon's feet.
-
Not thrilled to see that Evo appears in 3 sets.
-
Hero factory figures will likely appear in bricklink at a fair price eventually.
-
No "blocky" appearance = not real minifigs. Anyway, Evo Walker's bag has the best shot of the figure build, when zoomed in. I don't think they use Darth Maul's piece, it appears to me that the chest is a new brick made to look like HF armor and also has the entry point for legs. Some of these sets seem to be overflowing with content. This is the best idea constraction design thing had. Evo XL will deliver all sorts of fun. Comparing its role play value vs. the previous XL sets makes the comparison seem so unfair. Edit: Stormer ice machine's bag art confirms that the bugs have at least two pieces, a technic connector is visible. What's cool about the minifigures and scarabs is that it seems their pieces will also be useful for constraction.
-
Dissappointed they are not real minifigs, but they look cool. I hope the scarabs are made of more than one piece, optimally the legs should be a piece each. Watermarks make the large figure details hard to see I so far love what I am seeing. Stormer's machine gives me throwbots and roborider vibes, which is good. Splitter beast seems to be my favorite. I wish they got rid of bags. First wave in a while that makes me want to buy ALL of the sets.
