    LEGO's own pirate ship?

This is a post card, I saw while browsing BrickLink: Here And it appears, it has a mighty pirate ship on it! What are your thoughts on this? It looks like a mighty fine ship.
  3. Here is the review...for Broadside's Brig 6259! A set from 1991, with a handsome count of 64 pieces, 3 figures, and a sale price of $8.75! The building(and parrot): We'll start off with the front. It looks like a good solid building to hold those scurvy dogs! We yonder over to the left side: And see a nice open back: And yonder to the plain right side: Back to the left, we find the corner, with a nice area to rest your tired soldiers! We see the platform in the corner, a lovely place for soldiers to stand on! It's a bit...skimpy, so watch your step! The middle is blocked by some stones, assuring security! But still open enough to stand in! The jail is cramped, and fits only TWO people, but we only need one prisoner in this set :-) ! Moving up is the watch tower, a place for your soldier stand and stand watch or for silly parots to sit on! Here's the front middle part, again those stones blocking the way! Figures and Accesories: We have a delightful number of a soldier, a sailor, and a scurvy pirate! A lovely parot! And a generous assortment of weapons! That concludes our review. Overall: It's a fantastic little set, and great for army and supplies and bricks gathering! I can't find any faults with this set, it's just the neatest little thing you've seen in a port *wub* Highly recomended *y* . And to end our review: A comic!
  4. I must say, listening to Wagner's Ring cycle is the perfect soundtrack to reading this mafia game
  5. Awww, the finest? ! Sveinn wishes the best for the true Einherjar in this fight!

    Trench Coat Custom

Well, I made this, at least half an hour ago, took a stove, and fire to complete it, anyway, here it is. I wanted a Trench coat/Cloak for my captain, who is named Captain Matinet. He is going to be in my movie "The Black Goblet": Well, here is my idea for the Trench Coat/Cloak using lego's cape:

  12. "Host feedback: Will you please stop being a Scummy killer in my games? You got a lot of pings during the game and I'm not sure how you avoided more suspicion. Your team stopped you from explaining that you've played Scum a lot and so your reactions were really mild and calm. In the last two games that you were a FABULAND killer, you always say the craziest flailing things when you're accused. No offense. This time, you worked with your team and took the advice to keep the reaction simple and focus on the team tactic. I don't even want to give the overall Scum tactic away. That'd be free school for the next team and the strategy would become more and more recognizable." I'm only scum killer because of you , next time I likely will be too! Black crow forever. I was hoping to be town (I usually always do :p ), then I saw I was scum...then the scum killer again...mixed feelings, but I got in the evil groove and then we worked so well as a team together. Anyway, I made it a point to not stress out this game (considering recent game experiences and real stressing out) and I'm happy to have fulfilled that. Still more to polish on my game. Thanks for the feedback.

    Mafia Mafia Sign-Ups

Well, this looks interesting. I wont be able to play, but wish everybody the best, I'll be watching on the sidelines
  14. It was the right course of action. That black figure (which I speculated might be our killer, but thought it didn't match up with the pictures, so I dropped that idea) made me drop my doubts that a recruiting scum in this game would be a bit too much. Fortunately, there was no recruiting and we were just mis-leadingly paranoid . The answer to that will be no, and usually is a no in mafias here. Our secret evil discussions shall be kept secret Still, to answer your question, it was certainly noted you calling us out, but, especially on the advice of Panda/Rick, we took a controlled, chill approach to those sort of accusations, and hey, it worked!
  15. "Clanure (who is steadily stepping it up!) is the only one to ask how def could know Dave is Town if they blocked and killed the Investigator. Scouty blows it off and says it must be the Watcher. It isn't Scouty. Explore all avenues! There's a serial killer out there so someone will be lying besides the Scum. But they don't expect a serial killing team! Mwahahahahahahaha." I think Clanure was asking how Helena would know if we were messing with her, not how she knew Purplonia was town, so I replied watcher, or rather that the watcher was in contact with Helena (which, though, we reasoned that she saw the vig (Purplonia) target Krup (I think it was Krup that night) and so tried to save her at great risk/bravery). But, still, I didn't see the sk duo coming up. I think Rick/Pandora suggested something similar as a possibility.
  16. We did know who the members were behind the characters, yes. Also, I read on the dead board that the mysterious black figure was just accidentally left on the roof. Haha and here we were thinking it was a SK recruit or something!
  17. Oh, my heart dropped when I saw Chapter: 6 and not "Conclusion", haha. Glad it's one and the same. But, yes! Our wonderful scum team did it and did an amazing clean sweep! You guys were great to work with. Rick/Pandora were no doubt the strongest of us and really scored some great victories for the scum (such as Rick spotting out that Boris must have had an action and it was the investigator!) and being so helpful with their advice for the whole team. Thank you so much! We had a team of vets and newer players and we always helped each other out, so this was just a great experience for me and I hope for everyone else as well; wouldn't have done it with anybody else Now, to point out one more thing: OH. MY. GOD. I was the scum killer third time in a row in Hinckley's Fabuland game. I couldn't believe it, I even called shenanigans on it . But, really, I guess third time's the charm and I'm pretty happy with how I played this game and not get myself lynched or anything. I was hoping, in the beginning, for a different role, but, I have no regrets taking up the black crow spirit again ! I have more to learn and my play can definitely improve, but I'm glad to have done well enough this time around and not panic as much as I did before. Definitely took a more chilled, controlled approach this time. Lets go for a fourth time, now ! Thank you so much for letting me play, Hinckley! This game felt so very polished and the story was amazing, if not a little crude (but fabulously hilarious all the same) . I definitely love the idea of anonymous playing. It frees up everybody to be a little different and you're not so focused on meta gaming and such. It also helps one to be more like their character and not just a simple facade. I would like to see this implemented for all the EB games, if hosts want to bother with the logistics , were the logistics particularly tough this time? It seemed to all flow very smoothly. Anyway, fabulous job on hosting, you deserve a great pat on the back What was with the dark figure behind Def on night Four (or generally the dark figure on the roof)?
  18. Well, as Col. Whipstick has suggested, there should be a contrasting poll of the good guys, than the bad guys. So, what do you think? Is the Imperial Flagship better than the Caribbean Clipper? Is the Caribbean Clipper better than the Imperial Flagship? Do you need pictures? Here they are: Imperial Flagship Caribbean Clipper (There may or not be a poll on this already. I searched and came up empty handed.)
  19. I sent in posts (and sometimes received) with a telegraph, so I don't know what the problem is
  20. Yeah, no other way to put it really. Just those annoying early game jitters. Would have loved to play longer, but I started andgot booted out on the wrong foot. Being lynched, I'm not sure how well my scum reads were, but by the end I did figure TBW, Rick, and Danny (day one assumption) to be most likely scum (though I did have some town pegged as that, too...). I would have probably pursued TBW and Rick more had I lived since I didn't find their game suspect (Rick since he only analyzed and spot out errors in people, but didn't pursue it beyond that, so that raised a red flag in my view; TBW, said so before, but obvious scum perspective.) how much of that enlightenment was from being lynched, I don't know, probably wouldn't have suspected as much if I was let off the hook. Oh well, wish I could have played more, maybe next game then
  21. I may not be able to provide that for other people
  22. Nice of you to pop by when I was getting lynched ^.^. I was hoping we would talk, but you never did reply with any discussion . You were the only one to message me this game. During the lynch, I saw that as a little scummy...I was sort of waiting if a scum might do something like that...and it did, too bad I missed it, pretty much.
  23. That was in PM, I think. Ultimately it was also my failure to recall/pickup that you said nobody would know, I just got super distracted by my lynch and basically missed the whole Zepher thing. Learn from mistakes, improve
  24. Your past Mafia experience I saw clips from the Godfather a couple weeks ago. Your ability to focus on the game over the next 32 days Next two weeks are so-so, but things should open up a bit more in May. Will you be able to keep up with 20 hour NA deadlines? Are the deadlines not available? Don't know how I can keep up with them, then. Whenever they are, though, I can, if its called for. Your favorite Mafia moment Pelly? Sully? Probably Prison Riot, that was fun. Can't really name an exact moment, just exact bad ones :p Tell me why you think Vanilla Townies are important or how they are most useful Their purpose, well, to simply put it, is a lot of meat shield and target practice, and then their sacrifice leads to the steam roll of the scum. Oh, wait, that was EB Mafia II. No, just kidding. I consider them the most important role in the game (even if they're not really). The town becomes compromised if they don't all participate and work like a well oiled machine, and there are sleepers and those that become over enthused, actually, they end up being more detrimental. Either way, the vanilla role is quite nuanced in what it can do, so it can be, at times, more complicated to play than a well laid out power role. (6 steps in a Mafia application?) Give me your word that you'll participate in whatever crazy concoction I've doctored to avoid the meta-gaming. It will take everyone's cooperation and to operate on their honor. I solemnly swear it.
  25. Well, yay, it's all over! Go town! Thanks def for hosting another fun game, they're unique and exciting. Though, I would have to say I had more fun post death than actually playing. That was all just stressful. Some things to reflect on and bitterness get over. It's great to have host comments on the dead board, really appreciate those def, definitely made me keep up with the game after my early dismissal. Big props to Pandora and Nightshroud (never woulda figured you as one of the original masons!) doing a good job with the masons.
