70 bucks is outrageous, but they know that people will pay it. They can charge this much by calling it exclusive. Still, it is a great set.
-
Cannot wait for these sets. Lego is really stepping it up. The only thing I want differently is instead of another Battle Droid BP, maybe a rebel or imperial one. Other than that, great sets.

A movie line idea 65 million years in the making...
SWMAN replied to Boonetrooper's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like it, bukt Dino's built brick-by-brick is not realistic. People have no patience to build the Dinos that way. It would narrow down the dino possibilities and the dinos would look choppy and not smooth. -
I think HP is a dead theme and lego needs to stop making them. They keep making the castle for every new movie, and it it getting old.

My ideas... Realistic Medieval Asian Dynasties Napoleon Revolutionary War Civil War

I think lego needs to comeout with sets in battle-themed lines. They could have a Battle for Naboo one, with some droid sets, Gungan sets, and Naboo people sets. This would be great.
-
Interestin ideas, but it doesn't seem like the sets allow for you to use all of them at the same time. They are each too centered around their own story, and don't allow for using other sets. Still, cool idea.

Ever since I was a kid, I have liked the sets to be accurate. Playablity and ability to stay together is also important.
-
New one looks 100% better than the old one. Looks more accurate and looks like it will stay together easier.

Probably the best EPII set made, besides the RGS. Nice design and nice amount of figs. Maybe could have used a few more CT or maybe some droids.
-
Couldn't disagree more with your review. I think this was one of the worst SW sets I ever bought. It falls apart too easily, has little playablility, and includes little features. I did not like it at all. P.S. I also have the AT-TE and RGS. They were the two really good EpII sets that came out. I think lego really let us down with those sets. I thought EpI weren't that great, but these were not good either. EpIII and OT are the best sets.

Founding a Star Wars Collection
SWMAN replied to Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No offense, but I think you have way over thought this. I would just buy what ships you like and play. But, I can't stop you and if that is what you want to do, do it. -
He is saying that the Viking Fortress needed a baseplate and didn't have one, and the castle needs one, but doesn't have one.
-
Like it, but I think you should get rid of the links for the pictures. Just do a bricklink gallery instead. Much easier so people can few each picture right after antoher and don't have to click on each link.

I don't think Star Wars lego sets or in general will ever get old or worn out as long as there are fans. The whole idea of it being a "market strategy" to make sets that have been released so little kids will gobble them up is wrong. Every year, new fans are created. Lego tries to re-release sets only when they have improved them so the next generation can enjoy them. I think that we have been shown this year and especially last year that Lego is always thinking of new, better sets to come out with that are really sweet. If they took a break, it would be worse. One or two years is long enough to get people uninterested, but not long enough to get people really excited and anxious about a reintroduction. They would just lose fans and not make new ones. they need to keep going strong. Eventually they will have to stop, but as of right now they need to keep pushing.

Sweet commercial. Love the animation.
-
Amazing. Love the combination of 2 Slave 1's. That is a crap load of mandalorians.
-
Great Set. Love the ship and the dock.
-
Amazing Sets. Love them both. The RC is sweet, and the HB is realaly cool. It could use a little more substance, but is still cool.
-
Very interesting design. Nothing I have ever seen before. I think it is good, except for the walls. Anything could get over those puny walls. You should make them a bit higher to create a more realistic feel. I love the use of the different figures. By the way, what is with the forest. Is it part of the MOC. From the looks of the pics, it has displays in the bottom? Otherwise, great set.

Sweet custom scene. Love the idea of it. More people than just knights had jousts. Love the tree and the people, as well as the weapons racks. Makes it feel like a real joust, without the knights. Love the samurai armor and the evil bandit.

Nice set. I like the trench and the turrets. I like how people are able to improvise and create their own set, like the AT-AT. I am not a big fan of the snowspeeder. I doesn't look proportioned or big enough.
-
Not very cool. I am not interested in stickers, but in bricks.
-
Lego does this for two reasons. One, fans really want certain figures, no matter what. Two, lego isn't going to make a set that they fit in, so they stick it in something that fans will be fine with. Everybody wanted Mace, considering he would be one of the few black lego people, and people want Fisto a lot.

What would you like for Wave 2 of the new castle sets?
SWMAN replied to Professor Flitwick's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I would like to see some battlepacks, and maybe a smaller castle/outpost for both sides. I almost think the skeletons could use a bigger castle, more like the knights one. I won't be getting any of the wave 1 sets, but they look cool none the less.
