    [MOC] Ninjago Shrine Raid

The roof really is a standout. I think you dod a great job, whrre you balanced the busy, "old/weathered/tumble-down" style that is so popular for Castle MOCs with a simpler look; it's detailed, but not distracting from the the actual scene. Great use and positioning of minfigs, too.

What was the last movie you watched?

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I liked it, I think better than JW1. I mean, its a big dumb action movie but it delivered on that without too many eye-roll moments Watching it I discovered I have a love/hate thing with Chris Pratt. Either I like him/his character but dislike the movie, or like the movie but have a hard time with him in it. In JW2, I liked both.

    [MOC] Steampunk Chopper

Great use of those Bionicle pieces! I really love the silver parts that Bionicle 2.0 used, and I have tried to integrate them into System builds (like this) before, but not so successfully. So yeah, a little bit jealous here . Great MOC.

[MOC] Nexo Knights -- Macy's Fortified Chapel

I usually find the blue and orange of Nexo too garish for my tastes (a contradiction, I know--Ice Planet fan here), but you've made it work. The shots of Macy inside the chapel tell the story very well. I'll have to check out your other MOCs in this series.

    [MOC] Baba Yaga

Using the axle brick so it looks like she is riding the broom? Genius. I like the spindly leg on the hut too, both how it looks and as a technical feat.

EB Xmas Raffle 2018 - Your Santa MOC entry thread

Dec. 26 T'was the morn after Christmas 'Round 'leven (or so) Santa rolled out of bed With a *yawn* and a "ohhh-h-h-h!" "All I want is some cocoa, And a couple back pills-- 'Til next year's Christmas Day I can Netflix and chill." So he snagged the remote And his steaming hot vice, To go lounge on the couch While his feet soaked in ice. Good luck to everyone in the raffle! And although it's a little early to be saying it, Merry Christmas!

    [MOC] Lego World of Warcraft

I saw this earlier and wasn't able to comment, but I have to admit I've had the music in my head most of the day since then. :) Instantly recognizable builds

    [Moc] The Greeks

The whole setup is brilliant, and fits together pretty well. My favorite part is the trireme, I get kind of an Asterix vibe for some reason. I also like that rather than try and cram a whole sculpted scene onto the pediment you just kind of hint at it instead. I think that was a good choice that keeps it simple and uncluttered.

    [MOC] Planet miners

I really like the functional, real-world look you've given it, from the side panels to using minifig hands as reinforced supports for the various tools. I can imagine a whole team of miners like this, nicely done (Oh, and Explorien helmets FTW!)

    MOC: The Yellow Castle

Wow, there is a lot to like here--my favorites are the tower room and the barbican. And of course the old Crusader livery. Thanks for sharing here, and of course for the on-site photo shoot.

Diagon Alley miniature Harry Potter MOC

I like how you included the views looking down the alley, but then you can open it up and see the whole thing as well--it makes for a dynamic display. I could spend awhile looking at the details you've included here, well done

[WIP] Transparent yellow turmeric dyed Lego windshield

Wow. I'm not really a classic spacer but I find this fascinating! Well done, the result looks completely original. Now, if tripling the recipe would only produce an Ice Planet orange, that would be something I'd do myself (I'm certain it wouldn't, though )

    A Jaw-Dropping Revelation

Nice vignette! I would like to see some other angles to get a better look at the ark itself (the bit I can see the cherubim is aces) but it looks nice. The vig style works for scenes like this.

    [MOC] Cronan's Country Keep

I love alt-builds, I think being limited to the pieces at hand forces some creative decisions, and those steps are reaaaallly cool. Makes me think of Fallingwater (the house/museum) but in a fantasy castle way. The dungeon is a bit crammed in there though, that's the downside of alt-builds

A comfy place for peasants to live

I really like those shutters, but my favorite bit has to be the stud shooter guns as trees, that's a nice way to repurpose those!

    Making Eurobricks More Active

I just had an inspirational thought that I felt I should share here, since it is the exact nature of the issue at hand. I visit this site often. Almost daily, although I am usually here only for <5 minutes and my most active discussion isn't Lego-related, or even Lego-adjacent (it's the "which movie did I watch recently" thread, for those curious). Anyway, since I would also like this to be a more active, positive place I have a goal for myself, starting now, and I am going to commit to it here: "Every time I visit EB I will, before logging off, seek out three MOCs and comment on them." This is just a goal, but I hope and truly believe I can stick to it. If any of you wish to join me, please do.

What was the last movie you watched?

Incredibles 2. It was pretty good, but seemed more interested in the Jack-Jack antics than its actual plot.

EB Xmas Raffle 2018 - Your Santa MOC entry thread

Ha ha, yes! Now that the yearly raffle has been announced we can actually start getting ready for the holidays!

    New Flickr limits

Hmmm. It isn't showing up for me, but maybe that's because I'm on mobile web instead of a PC (and yeah, the app is not helpful, as usual). However, you got me looking around and I found a web app called Organizr which showed me, so thanks! I just needed to poke around a bit more, I guess. Looks like I have 1073 items, which surprises me as I'm not that active of a builder. Guess I'll have to cull some stuff, but I'm sure it won't be too hard.

    New Flickr limits

Is there an easy way to find out how many photos one has? I tried the "request data from Flickr" option where they send you an email, but that was three days ago, and nothing. If I click on "stats" it just wants me to upgrade to Pro.

What was the last movie you watched?

For Halloween I watched House on Haunted Hill (1959). My wife isn't much into scary things (meaning, not at all), but I convinced her she'd be okay. I thought it was great--not scary, but definitely had some creepy ambience and of course, Vincent Price. My wife, OTOH, didn't want to talk about it . At least she wasn't mad at me over it. We also watched The Illusionist (with Jessica Biel and Ed Norton) last week. It wasnt bad, and deepened my appreciation for Paul Giamatti as a great character actor, but didn't do much else.

    Raffle: Making a Monster!

Wow, congrats to the raffle winners and anyone who helped make Halloween a little...Halloweenier. @Peppermint_M I already have one ghost tag, would it be possible to add another? If not, I'll take the lightning on green.

What was the last movie you watched?

I recently rewatched Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp, (kind of a Marvel weekend) and while I like the story of IW better, I enjoy watching AM&W more. I also watched The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai and I have to admit it did nothing for me. Even when I tried to just appreciate it as a schlocky 80's adventure, I still found little to dig into. I never saw it as a kid so there's no nostalgia for me; maybe there has to be in order for one to enjoy it.

    Raffle: Making a Monster!

With its inescapable tentacles and horrible sucker mouth, the swamp monster lurks in the shadowy waters to snatch and devour its prey. I had fun with this one, despite my poor decision to build (and photograph) it in all black. Thanks for the contest!

    LEGO Ideas Discussion

This is a superb Ideas set. I admittedly have never bought an Ideas set for myself; I won Jason's previous winner, the Maze, in a contest, bought the Beatles for my sister, and bought Ship in a Bottle to sell after I had it signed by Jake (it was hard giving that one up--I really liked it). On this Pop-Up Book, the parts are good, the details are great, and the colors are actually the same I used on fake book/safe that I built for my wife as part of a jewelry box years ago. (So naturally, I approve.) And of course, the function is so incredibly smooth, and very clever. As for the price, I wish it were lower, but I can't complain it's not fair--it's just that I'm cheap . Maybe on a double-points promo, or an Amazon discount, I'd try and grab it. Congrats, Jason! (and Grant, if you lurk around these parts, too).
