Nice job! Looks great as does all of your MOCs. Clean and crisp! I love it, but which battle of the American Revolution does this MOC depict?

I was under the impression that different regiments had different colors, red being one of them. Not sure I have the skill, or materials to make customs. Although it is a movie, The Alamo starring John Wayne depicted a regiment wearing redcoats. Thanks for the comments! Capt. Stabbin

Here is an update, YEAH!!!! I've only been able to work on it a little bit, on account of our basement flooding from the severe weather we have been experiencing. The Mexican army storming the palisade between the chapel and the low barracks Although there is no conclusive evidence that the 1824 flag flew over the Alamo, and it is very likely that it did not, I have chosen it because it is the flag most associated with it and long thought to be there. I think that these flags designs could work: The first flag of the continental army or the Betsy Ross flag There are also some flags in the Lego Pirates master index on the discussion forum. Hope this helps

Nice Job! Your army looks amazing!! Can't wait to see the rest!

This looks great. I especially like the ice and snow effect, good job! The only things I would change would be to add a few more boats with soldiers in them, and maybe an American flag. Great job on the tavern too.

Great job on the decals! They look professional! Good luck on the contest.

Crockett is suposed to be represented by the guy in the middle with his gun raised, like in the painting. As for Travis, his positon was at the north wall, my moc depicts the final moments of the siege in front of the chapel. But if I had enough legos I would do the whole thing, that would be awesome! Thanks, Capt. Stabbin

[pid][/pid]223C Hey everybody! After reading an old National Geographic article about the bicentnial of the French Revolution, I was inspired to do this moc. It was interesting to learn a little French history, considering I didn't learn much about that in the good ol' USA. It's loosly based on a painting depicting the execution of Louis XVI. Enjoy! "Turkey legs, get your turkey legs here!" And now for Robespierre, face up! Comments and criticism welcome. Thanks, Capt. Stabbin

Interesting battle choice, nice start!

Thanks for the comments! meschepers-- If I'm not mistaken the rounded top portion was added during restorations done after the 1836 battle. Admiral Croissant & Alex the Great-- Yes, it is the Ambush in Cairo set. Thanks, Capt. Stabbin.

The Battle of the Plains of Abraham
Capt. Stabbin replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in Pirate MOCs
Maybe add some different colors, and elevations on the ground, and some more grass like plants if you have any. Either way I really like your entry. -
Are we allowed to use backgounds of any kind in this contest? Just wondering.

I think a little texture would help your MOC stand out.
