    [Review] Darth Revan polybag

I really enjoyed the review - your first one and completely spot on. Also, thanks for putting in the comic at the end. Keep it up please. I read the Old Republic novel Revan, and I really really would recommend this to anyone that can read, you surely will want a Revan if you do. Still feel a bit sick at the cost of the Sandcrawler - somehow my wife always finds out how much these things cost...

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

No way. Nothing new to read for the last few days. To stay on topic - I just got hold of Admiral Piett, but I need one of the new caps coming out in the stardestroyer to make him look ultra cool. Here's hoping for more sets that will come with the new hat!
  3. I have it and love it - simply for the looks. The build was great too. The figs are awesome, and it is definitely one of the sets I display - over and above normal film sets. Just look at it again - that is a great looking ship, and it happens to be Star Wars, win win!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Can I just say here thank you to TWP and others for putting the effort in to post the links etc on the page here. I find the site really great - and am really happy when people add great links (and especially deep links). Sincerely all - thank you. On the sets - well my old Cantina is on EBAY right now and going for at least £60. My plan is to buy 2 of the new Cantina's so I have the full band and I can MOC a proper full rounded bar area - and generally make the set much bigger. I am sooooo excited.

    [SoNE Freebuild] The Derelict

Wow. Great build. The door and doorway - as others have mentioned - look just excellent. And I also really like the dark red detailing in the floor, gives it so much depth. I loved the story too, but can't help thinking there are "Aliens" aboard, and that makes me a bit scared...

Does white Boba or Shadow Arf not count as EU. I read a book with Revan in and it really was great. Cannot wait for one of these bad boys... hopefully.

    [75059] Sandcrawler

I put this in general questions, but got no replies so trying again... Well I am mega mega excited about the sandcrawler but... $300 US is £180 in the UK and yet the sandcrawler here is going to be £250. The £70 quid difference is $116 which is just huge (and would cover the cost of the cantina on top). I have seen that Australians often seem to get a raw deal (sorry), but really this seems way off. I would buy in USA and ship over but all the tax stuff just gets way too complicated. Would really like to hear views and any suggestions on whether it will be worthwhile buying American. I could almost afford the airfare with the mark up..!
  8. That really is very silly and very very cool. Well done. I had a lot of fun reading the story and marvelling at the work. Very impressed.

    Beware of fake minifigures

I will try hard to resist non TLG stuff if I can - for as long as possible. I like customising real parts, but feel quite sick at the thought of real Lego getting mixed up with "fake" stuff. My OCD is going crazy at the thought. It was bad enough with just mega bloks, but I am concerned that the fake stuff is getting more and more and that ebay sellers are still using the word LEGO in the top description - with just small disclaimers in the description. One other point that does occur to me is that say 10 years ago TLG was not doing so well. The first Star War sets were not the greatest, and if they had of gotten overtaken by third party stuff back then we simply would not have the Lego Death Star of Rancor or Gamorrean Guard or generally all the mega mega cool stuff that we get now. Surely it is worth paying a bit of a premium to keep the product so well managed as it is - and at such a high standard (I do appreciate some sets are getting more and more expensive though).
  10. This video made me feel very sick. Seriously, I cannot go to sleep now.

  12. Yep - I agree with the above comments, the fact that you get the figs in is great. Really great design and execution - it does look official (bar the split black windscreen). I always thought it would be cool to have a new Cloud City similar size and shape to the Death Star and with a new micro sized ship similar to the existing Cloud Car, but better. Reckon you could do a good cloud car...
  13. Thanks TWP. I do have the Kamino Astromech - but I am trying to get hold of every variant. I love 'em. Others have said before, but I am looking forward to pairing the Advent Christmas tree droid in green with the dome on the Falcon Mini set. And also will need to get the new Jek ship as that has a blue droid. I need to do some more jobs round the house to get some more pocket money from my wife!
  14. Can anyone with the brand new v wing tell me if the astromech is new - either the dome or body or both. There certainly have been a few red astromechs now, and from all the reviews I've seen, no one has specifically said. Thanks.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

I think Lobot mentioned it earlier, but that Dewback really is looking to unLEGOey. I was so excited at the prospect of the exact same one as featured in the micro sets ad. But, of course, I will be excitedly getting 2 cantina's anyhow, and working on mocing them together to get a longer bar. What a great set, bit where will I get me a Ponda Baba??? Dr B - is unLEGOey an acceptable term? I cannot help but feel that they should resist going too figurine accurate - this is why we all love LEGO.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Well yes - absolutely I wanted Ponda, but what I really really wanted in Lego was Hammerhead. He is properly the most exciting thing this summer to the max. No more Hating the Bith, or the funny looking Jedi will get you...
  17. I have read that yes City is by far the best seller, but is it fair to say that Star Wars is the best selling licence theme (not of all time, but by wave), or is beaten say by Harry Potter or Lord Rings having a good wave?

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

The question is I suppose do I sell my original cantina and rare Greedo for what will undoubtedly be a great looking new Dewback. My £30 a month wife set investment ceiling is starting to get me down..!
  19. Just made the shell raiser today, Christmas Day, way cool dogpound. Can not wait for leatherhead. And yes the cartoon is so cool and very sensible for 36 year olds. Cowabunga
  20. I really want the blue clone that is free with shop at home in September - I was waiting and thought i'd get an early xmas present ewok village, but I am in the UK and it does not show in my basket. I cannot believe they wouldn't honour the deal in the UK. Does anyone know better please???
