[TC10] Technic Pneumatic Contest - Information Topic
Alasdair Ryan replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's fun,and we all need some one to pick on,so naturally as you are the "technic moderator/admin" we pick on you. But that white truck does not have any pneumatics in it..... So if you wanted you could build that white truck and stick a cylinder on the roof as a aerial and then enter it? -

Cool Idea,I hope this moc turns out well for you,as the cylinders are yellow could you put these in side the chassis? -

That would be a custom bucket. I think you have concentrated on functionality over looks, the moc is very out of scale.- 15 replies

[TC10] Pneumatic Crane Truck with Bed
Alasdair Ryan replied to Alex Ilea's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The tipper bed you have made is out of scale compared to the chassis, and the crane is built wrong compared to clamshell crab cranes mounted on trucks. -

Alasdair Ryan replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It can be any "moc" you like, as long as it has pneumatics. So for example it could be a two post car lift. I think "standard" users only can have four badges. -

[EV3] Omnidirectional Robot Concept and Discussion
Alasdair Ryan replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
They are better football players than the Dutch national team. For your robot I would continue with the idea you had already and build four "cubes" each with a motor and wheel, then form a bigger square or triangle with the way you connect all of the smaller "cubes" together.- 101 replies

I have been looking at buy one of these, since there is a new version coming out soon I will wait for that one. Can I ask about the programming side of things does it come with pre made controller GUI's or do you need to make one your self? What are the advantages of building a GUI your self over the pre-made GUI's,and can I use a proper programming language like python or some other language to program in,I will not be going anywhere near scratch the same as I don't go any were near wordpress.- 761 replies

If you open your sub model in notepad and identify all the chain elements, copy and past them into your assembly file (the one you linked above). You may need to exclude your completed chain, you completed code should look like this: 0 !LPUB PLI BEGIN IGN 1 72 190 260 83 0 0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 chaintread.ldr 0 !LPUB PLI END 57518.dat 72 57518.dat 72 57518.dat 72 57518.dat 72 57518.dat 72 and so on..... -

Alasdair Ryan replied to arshiaIQ's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
While I do like the fact that you have motorised a existing set,I do think you might of been better just starting from scratch. Given that you are: new , your limited parts and your location you did not to bad for your first attempt.
